I am… on the fence whether to buy Fleur Narcotique or not. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely adore it and totally understand why it’s called “narcotique”, but I think I might find something similar if I look around more.
FN is long wearing with moderate sillage. It is a bright, sweet, juicy floral with an almost tropical feel. A bit… moist, to my nose.
Am I imagining the dry down being somewhat similar to Dusita – La Doceur de Siam? They are not quite dupes, especially in the opening, but they both have that wet, fruity, floral quality. Dusita is based on roses and is even frutier! It’s quite unique and the fragrance I actually like the most, but the performance leaves much to be desired. Amazing fragrance with poor performance vs good fragrance with great performance… I love them both and will probably buy one of them.
Edit: Bougt Dusita. I’ll need to reapply often. Worth it.

I like it. When I smelt it imediatelly came to my mind some feminine scents.. anyway, it has above the average performance, leans slightly to feminine scents but it’s marginally OK for a guy. Personally I own some Eisenberg scents so it’s OK for me.
It’s not something unique, if you are into fragrances, you already have smelt this thing before but it has nice performance.. So, I can’t justify the price tag. At least it should be something “new” and groundbreaking. I must try other scents from this house…

Intoxicating, smooth peachy floral with excellent longevity and sillage. FWIW niche houses do some of the best fruity florals and if you don’t like that sort of thing, purchase something else more to your taste!

This perfume smells cheap. Not bad, just common, kinda like some of the Bath & Body works sprays or Victoria’s Secret perfumes.
The Orange Blossom really takes over and together with the Peony makes it a rather uninteresting run of the mill floral body spray.
I wish the Woods & Oakmoss had more to say but they are non existent.

Wow, what an absolutely enchanting fragrance!
I find many florals to be too creamy, cloying, or generic. Almost all fruity fragrances feel cheap, childish, or linear. This one is a perfect meld of floral and fruity, and escapes all the above qualities that I try to avoid in perfumes.
It’s not listed, but I get hints of honeysuckle in this. Also peony, sunlight, and youth (yes, those things can be bottled!)
I haven’t even found the right words to describe this one yet, but it is spell-binding… I think I will wear it on my wedding day.

You’re a soldier of the North Song Dynasty in 1099, stationed along the coast of Guangdong (China). In the peaceful, scientific era of gunpowder and inventions, you simply aren’t interested in any future wars, and you find yourself in hiding over at a nearby village, happily relaxing on a hill, looking out across the sea. Women are working in their gardens just yards away, tending to their flowers and singing over light gusts of wind, picking fresh lychee from their trees. You’re charmed as a young girl walks up the hill and offers you some of the fresh fruit, and you smile, breathe in, absorb the serenity, and wonder if you’re finally home. Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilo.

I don’t understand the bad reviews on this. To me it’s a beautiful floral. Maybe I like it because it’s not an overpowering in-your-face floral. I can’t take huge white florals but this one is perfect. So wearable and light, but don’t mistake that for not long lasting or no sillage, because it has both. So happy to have found a floral I can actually wear!

If I were to smell this blind, I would have guessed cheaper designer fragrance. Fruity(mostly litchi plus a not too sweet peach)white floral. More shampoo/ laundry musk than sweet fruity floral. Very linear and very long lasting, more than it needs to be. It’s not a heavy scent, yet it feels somewhat harsh and synthetic and I find it cloying as wears on hour after hour after hour. I tried this a few years ago and didn’t like it then. Revisited as my taste changes year to year, and still feel the same way about it.

Fresh fruity floral! A nice, well done, if somewhat boring fragrance. There’s an uplifting, almost tea-like fresh laundry note that reminds me of Bottega Veneta’s Knot with something tart and just the tiniest bit juicy. The woody notes (probably iso-E cedar) do an admirable job of keeping it all grounded. A very pretty, pleasant little fragrance. Has some pretty impressive longevity. The best word for it is “nice”.

i like the floral, but a bit too fruity and sweet– reminds me of the smell of fruity candies. it definitely smells good but i dont want to smell like candy.

I recently discovered this perfume on a trip to Paris.
I am utterly obsessed. I went back and bought another bottle before I left….It’s warm, yet light, soft, yet intense. It last days, even after multiple showers but is by no way overbearing. I love love love it!!!!

Very nice, pleasant smell. Good materials. Only Caveat, it is almost an exact copy of Tocca Stella despite using different oils (vastly cheaper and almost as good) which came out in 2006. I can tell the difference but the effect is the same.

I would add that in terms of sofiatication , I would compare it to Francis Kurkdjan Baccarat 540. By no means I am comparing the composition and notes – BUT in terms of sofiatication and flare of it – that would be it. Chances are – if you love FK Baccarat you’ll love this one too.

Fantastic fragrance – very distinctive , an alternative to boring citruses “pull me up” style – the same “pull me up” but with a very modern attitude. Absolute stunner for the office! Got nothing but compliments from both – men and women. It is addictive and very suitable for spring and summer months.
I would only add that in terms of sofistication (not the notes!!) it can be compared to Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat 540.. chances are – if you are in live with FL B540 – you’d love this one too.

    What a boring fragrance!
It pretends to be niche but it is as simple and cheap as a celebrity perfume.
Save your money (180€ for 50ml!) and buy Yves Rocher or Fragonard instead.

It is more of a woody lime roses and peppers. Oakmos, and slight musk are there. Maybe there is some peaches but not sure about this, and definitely the Litchi isn’t dominant here.
It is a slightly sweet woody musk fragrance that is kind of common, that’s why mostly everybody likes it.

Such a disappointment! It smells of delicate citrus fruit and bland artificial flowers. There is nothing narcotic about this fragrance. It’s absolutely inoffensive and definitely not a memorable one. Don’t waste your money on that scent.

Stunning fragrance. The notes blend effortlessly with each other. After the initial spray onto the skin you detect the floral notes quite clearly however after a few moments these subside a little to blend perfectly with the fruity notes, not sweet they just enhance the overall composition.
The heart notes blend perfectly with the base notes after a fairly short time leaving you with the most fantastic floral/fruit fragrance throughout, not too weak not to strong Just the most perfect sophisticated scent that can easily be worn by both sexes anytime and for almost any occasion.
Definitely a winner from Ex Nihilo. I would highly recommend anyone giving this a try. Recently purchased a 100ml bottle, it’s addictive!

A more sophisticated Peony scent then most I’ve sampled. More depth than something like Extraordinary by Oscar de la Renta, which just happens to be a youthful peony I tried recently. Fleur Narcotique is a sunny, beautiful floral that could work for all ages. I’m female but this would be very attractive on men!
I’ve really been digging Orange Blossom this summer (and pretty much always), and for me this is a singing, fruity, cheerfully-sexy Orange Blossom fragrance accented with pretty Peony and gentle Peach. I bought 7ml spray on eBay from Russia for $35 plus shipping! Ugh, just decided I needed at least a little Fleur Narcotique in my collection.
If anyone has a bottle they want to get rid of please PM me:)

Oof. Wish I was getting the same things out of this one that everyone else seems to get. On me, it’s a sickly sweet floral cosmetic scent. I don’t get any fruit, which is a shame because a little tartness or juiciness might have cut all the powder a bit. Nauseating.
To be fair, my chemistry seems to bring out powdery notes, which I personally can’t stand. Hard pass.

An absolutely lovely, bright, clean peachy-fruity floral. Well-rounded and nothing offensive in the composition to me–not soapy, not bitter, not tacky. It’s an unmistakably fine fragrance.
At over $300 CDN for a little 50 ml bottle (1.7 oz), and bearing similarity to other fruity florals on the market now (albeit inferior ones), I’m not sure it’s an expense I can justify. It does make me quite happy, though, and such impressive longevity! I’m surprised to find myself considering it.
UPDATE: After about 6 hours wearing it (with high body temperature), I did find the fruity sweetness distracting. My husband also commented several times that he hoped it would get more subtle very soon. It may have been my high body temperature that cooked the fruity-sweet notes–I’ll try again on a cooler day.
UPDATE 2: Still mulling this over. Tried it on again. Still love it, but still the occasional sense of something not sitting well–strangely, I get the slightest nausea in waves. My husband (not knowing what I’m testing) once again grumbled it was s smell he couldn’t ignore. I’m wondering if it’s something in the compounds. And the longevity is certainly epic on this one!
    UPDATE 3: Bought it!

If you look at the ingredients at first you might think: urgh! What the hell were they thinking? Trying to produce a bubble bath for kids?
Trust me, it works! Incredibly sophisticated product, very clever and arguably quickly becoming a ‘modern classic’ like Dunhill’s “Icon” that I would group somewhere along the lines of this, yet is a different kettle of fish altogether.
This one here is the perfect gentleman’s scent for summer, IMO. Very fresh and invigorating without the typical cliches of aquatics and citrus done so many times before (to death), but this is new territory of taking some typically female ingredients, yet balance them so well against the moss, woods and musks that they all of a sudden become very unisex, bisexual, metrosexual, very gentleman like indeed.
10/10 for a NEW FRUITY FLORAL MUSK that even men can wear! THIS is what modern and abstract perfumer should be about! Breaking new grounds! Ground-breaking! Bravo!

I have discovered Fleur Narcotique in Harrods recently. I was told it is called “Narcotique” because you just keep on smelling it and can’t stop going back to it . It’s so true ! The initial fruity floral accord develops into a sensual moss/ woody dry down that is super distinctive and refined.I ‘ve had so many people compliment me on my fragrance 🙂 i simply regret not buying the 100ml bottle instead of 50 ml !

Quentin Bisch for givaudan has created an addictive fruity floral in Fleur Narcotique. It combines white flowers with the unusual addition of lychee on an base of oakmoss and musk.
In contrast to the fruity florals that are currently saturating the market, fleur narcotique has a certain je ne sais que that intoxicates all that surrender to its spell.
