I love this one very much. It smells like big and green Aegean garden which has full of dewy flowers. So much natural feelings. But it is discontinued! I think this is a kind of rule for Miller Harris.
LEKS04 – :
Fleur de Matin open herbally and citrussy. You get a blast of lemon with herbs (probably, basilica playins in). It reminds of a garden in the morning with this Cold humidity on the leaves, like you are stepping on the flowers and feel the crispiness under your feet. Very crunchy and mouth-watering.
In the heart you get a floral jasmine/neroli blend, which is very subtle and wearable (despite the fact that jasmine can give you a headache). I am not a fan of this combo, but I still find the scent very well-done.
As many others mentioned, Miller Harris DNA is noticeable, with a natural feel to a scent. I would place it into floral-citrus-green category. Decent longevity 6h.

Love this Miller Harris scent. Gorgeous.

Would anyone be up for doing an exchange?
The dry down on FdM really is a delicate, fragrant floral/herbal bouquet. I actually think that it smells just how I imagined it would: very natural and pretty. Annoyingly, I don’t really like it as part of me.
I’m currently experimenting with Miller Harris (old and new) and consequently going a bit crazy. I have a full 50ml bottle of this; I’ve literally had one spritz of it. (I will probably give it one more spritz tomorrow but I don’t need any more of it.)
Please contact me by private message if you know you like FdM and you would be interested in swapping something of yours (e.g. L’Artisan Parfumeur Premier Figuier decant, or similar) for either the FdM full bottle or a generous decant of it. (UK)

Just to add to all other reviews that this one is very lemony. If you are not into lemons maybe this fragrance is not for you, because the lemon phase is there, very tangible and long lasting. From the name, I expected more flowers, more green and earthy scent, but it is a lot of lemon which is not my thing. The earthiness comes after a lot of lemon and I can’t wait for that long life is short.

Beautiful fragrance. I own many Miller Harris scents but this one is my favourite. Yet it seems underrated by the fragrance community.
Reminds me of one of the Atelier Colognes, totally unisex.
It’s great for spring/summer and is very uplifting. As the review below states, it truly evokes the smell of a garden in the morning, in all its glory.
mao102 – :
Lovely morning garden of a perfume, after a fresh sprinkle of rain. Such a happy, comforting scent.
The Miller Harris DNA is strong on this one.
Very close overlap with Citron Citron, with some petitgrain bitterness and neroli sweetness added. Close enough match, that it could pass as a flanker, although it’s not.
Agreed there’s some galbanum, after looking at fragrance pyramid. Thankfully I’m not getting any calone notes that another reviewer mentioned, which I _abhor_. If it wasn’t for the Citronx2 already on my shelf, I would totally go FB on this.
irishka07 – :
A very pretty fresh fragrance. I immediately picked out the citrus, herbal notes amongst the honeysuckle and neroli. The mint is present but not much. Its a bunch of newly cut flowers in a glass vase in the kitchen. It stays pretty linear on me. The perfect fragrance to wear on a hot day. The galbanum is one of the longest lasting notes and is the last to fade. Not much sillage and its gone after an hour or two so not worthy of an fb. Such a shame

I love the opening of Fleur de Matin, which is full of promise – herby and citrussy, but then it starts to develop a note I’d describe as aqueous. Any of those aqueous notes, such as melon or calone, give me a bit of a headache.Maybe it’s the honeysuckle too, which tends to be a synthetic note that can be a bit jarring
I know Miller Harris use a combo of good quality naturals and synthetics, and I really love L’Air de Rien, but Fleur de Matin doesn’t work for me even into far dry-down.
Fair warning for those of you who share my dislike of slightly aqueous perfumes. To be honest, this reminds me of some sort of blue cleaning product or liquid soap. Ah well
aaawol – :
This is a beautiful fresh uplifting perfume. The florals shine with a mineralised herbal chorus that is truly reminiscent of a stroll in a Mediterranean garden as the sun is warming up.Fleur du Matin smells so natural and pretty that I wear it on a miserable day as a antitidepressant and when I need to motivate myself to go to the gym.
Longevity is average and silage is low.The drydown of this perfume is beautiful, but at this stage this perfume is a skin scent.
starney – :
It reminds me Charme et Feuilles. lukewarm and greasy white flowers with sweet and milky herb.
SEREGA1313 – :
I like this but not enough to buy it. It is a very soft well balanced perfume. It is very wearable. The florals shine through. Don’t see this as a unisex fragrance at all. It is very feminine in an elegant way. Elegant and fresh perfectly describe this.
recor – :
Another lovely well made and very natural fragance from Miller Harris.
Very herbal-green, perfect for summer. Love it.
Maybe, this is in the feminine side but I like it…
Very good longevity and moderate sillage (as the rest of this line).
scent: 7.5/10
longevity: 9/10
sillage: 6/10
luh008Negeltzex – :
I was introduced to this on vacation in Canada. The fragrance is perfect, soft but not too, great for any spring-summer-fall excursion. I love the honeysuckle note in it. I want more.
kosimo – :
Perfect for hot weather …..like Dubai
antanello – :
Don’t judge it without trying in on your skin.
Lush and heavenly, like an outdoor garden after the rain, perfectly blended so that no specific note stands out to me- just fresh but nothing harshly green- it’s soft. There are flowers, trees and herbs in this garden and if I really concentrate I can actually pick out the individual notes of pine, neroli, jasmine, marjoram and honeysuckle, but I can’t even express how perfectly blended they are. It just smells beautiful and calming. This scent makes me have to close my eyes every time I sniff my wrist… this is one of my top 5 perfumes!
Seriously- WAIT FOR THE DRY DOWN.

There is only a little sillage to Fleur du Matin, which for me is actually a good thing. Longevity is pretty impressive, I am wearing about four sprays on each arm, and can well feel it throughout the day, lasts 6-8 hours minimum. I think Terre de Bois is meant to be a masculine frag, have sampled it, it’s very, very good as well.
combiwu – :
I have been wearing my sample for three consecutive days now, so it is time for my verdict:absolutely gorgeous!!! Very fresh, herbaceous scent that keeps close to the skin- that is a big plus, as I am not particularly keen on announcing my presence with a cloud of fume.Still, the bit I enjoy the most is the drydown- very mellow, creamy, almost buttery, with a subtle hint of something dry and herby (perhaps majoram). There isn’t a single false note in this one, which is impressive. I have no idea how natural are the actual components, but the frag gives a good overall “organic” impression. The quality reminds me of a long gone, but sadly missed Aromantic by Decleor.
stepnn77 – :
I ordered a sample of this because on LuckyScent it is listed as a referral scent to MDCI En Coeur en Mai and Romea’s Mistresses of King Louis, two scents that I love.
But what I love about the other two is the strong petit grain scent, which is lacking here. Instead we get basil and marjoram, which I think I prefer in my herb garden, not on my skin.
I am looking for a crisp, tart floral green and this one is more soggy. Also, it does not last long on my skin chemistry. Good ingredients, however, and I do recommend trying as it comes down to personal preferences.
Sovina – :
Very fresh and pleasant! Refreshing in sweaty summer heat, with its citrus-and-herbs and the greenness of galbanum. It is rather linear, but in itself that concept was lovely, since I wanted to go on smelling the same green-citrus-herb coolness.
zrl814Diobtetty – :
I tried this again today. A little amount applied at noon still lingers on my skin. I is amazing how nature-like this fragrance is.
Pentax – :
Smells just like a greenhouse or little garden with vegetables and flowers. The fragrance brings happy memories from a childhood summer.
I am not sure if I would use it very often if I had it, but it may be perfect for a summer holiday scent.
