I received a 30mil bottle of first premier bouquet in a swap and I’m in love head to heels
Why should they discontinue such a lovely perfume?!it’s easy to wear and easy to love and it’s strange to see they don’t produce a crowd pleaser anymore
It opens cool, crisp and fresh exactly like putting your teeth in granny Smith apple which you just took out of refrigerator.I can’t detect much citrusy or boozy notes and I don’t miss them
After couple of minutes apple seems to shift to pear which I also love.it’s less cold now and is blended with a gorgeous floral scent.on my skin it seems to be a combination of Jasmine and sweetpea and just a hint of rose
What can make me go crazy for a floral scent is a soft and clean touch of musk and woody notes(in this case smells like sandalwood) to ground them.it reminds me both Estee lauder modern muse and Carven le parfum.not that it smells exactly like them(it’s less musky than modern muse);they share some similar qualities
Van cleef first premier bouquet is exactly what I love to wear the most during springs(and summer). It’s refreshing, ladylike, sensual, wearable and highly versatile.I want to cry when I think about low chance of finding another bottle speacially for such a good price(I swapped a half used Bvlgari omnia garnet with this beauty)
If I had enough of this lovely perfume or if it was widely available,it was going to be one of my most frequently used spring and summer day perfumes
Longevity is as satisfying as it’s beautiful scent, sillage is moderate and I like it’s bottle too with green juice and green cap
By the way I also have original first and they’re not really similar to my nose.no vintage vibe in this little gem
    ❤❤❤❤❤

Poor me! In the store it smelled fresh and green, but once on me at home I could only sense vodka. :((( Needless to say I couldn’t keep this irritating perfume and gave it away. The person I gave it to is quite satisfied, though. Says it smells fresh.

This fragrance is fresh, classy, not sickly sweet and is really lovely. I say there is nothing like this fantastic perfume. The genius in this scent is the fusion of apples, pears, roses, sweet pea and vodka. I noticed some of these notes are not mentioned above. Thankfully, I did not smell the peach. The brilliance is the cleverness in the use of sweet pea hovering through the floral fusion of fresh fruit and florals. You need to sample this perfume first, before buying a bigger bottle. I tried the sample, and was in love and smitten.
It may come across as understated, but it makes me uplifted and appreciate it is good to be alive. Because it represents the luxury of nature. While, I understand that people may find it boring or safe. However, the perfume is lovely on clothes and smells differently compared to the skin. It lasted 2 days on clothes. I class this as a peaceful, harmony-based fragrance and which is romantic. It lasts a long while, and lingers lovely as wonderful and an interesting scarf. While this perfume is quite hard to get, and may be pricey. I bought the perfume for $140 (which includes the postage from the US) for a 100 EDT on Ebay because it’s a discontinued perfume. I think it is a real treasure. It reminds me of a mixture of Gucci Envy for the (Apple and pears) and G/Armani Aqua de GIO in a pale Green or Blue bottle for women. The bottle and packaging is beautiful and elegant. I appreciate this perfume because they do not make fragrances like this anymore.

Floral fresh scent. At first sniff, its very fresh because of the bergamott and the lilly of the valley, nd crisp and floral because of the rose. Nice, but not too unic. I can’t remember, but it reminds me to something that was in AVON in the 1980-90’s. My mother used to vear it often. Maybe Celebre? It quiets down on skin after 30 minutes, but its still the same scent, only smoother, and more floral, with something that ads a sweet undertone to it. It wont became a most have, but it can be enjoyable from time-to time. 🙂

An enchanting floral that’s airy and aqueous in feel, my favorite kind of floral composition. There’s also a subtle note in this reminiscent of vintage Dippity-Do hair gel, and that’s a great thing (to me); I grew up loving the scent of Dippity-Do. I also love sweet pea and woods, so this sparkly floral makes me happy. My sister, a fledgling fumehead, adored this at first sniff, and embarked with me on an odyssey to locate it online. Even a self-proclaimed floral-hating friend of mine likes it, proving the contention of an earlier reviewer. I’ve stocked up on this, since it’s fading from the market.

Apples and Pears! Pears and apples!
The opening toasts the delightful relationship between the two fruits. By far the most exciting phase of First Premier Bouquet. If only it lasted longer 🙁
Boozy notes of vodka garnished with zesty flowers carry the top before rapidly settling into a tired musky-woody base.
A greenish and somewhat salty interpretation of sweet-pea (nothing comes close to the real thing) lends an aquatic edge during the latter stages of evolution.
I adore the top half FPB, not overly fussed with what it becomes on my skin in all honesty. I can taste the smell of salt on my skin.
This perfume makes me insatiably thirsty!
Edit – 04/07/2016 – Salty aquatic dry down noticeably absent this time around. First Premier Bouquet is a blissful crisp floral enhanced by winter orchard fruit. Absolutely stunning.

I have tried it and I have to tell, I haven’t felt any vodka or pear or floral scent!
I have felt only a sweet (but not too sweet) green apple scent!
I have thought, okay, this is green apple perfume because of the green glass and the fragrance. I’ve tried on my arms too but I could feel only dry/sweet green apple there too.
I have come home and seen on this website that in this perfume can be found any green apple.
    Interesting experience.

Who said that lily of the valley does not smell good! Well, I just found out here that it smells freakin’ awesome when mixed with vodka, and sweet pea I must not forget. White floral with some citrusy and boozy undertones in a really good way. Vodka and bergamot make it smell clean and fresh.
In future will rethink alcoholic beverages in perfumes, unless it’s beer offcourse
This perfume is one of the master florals, must try! Excellent longevity-all day I smelled great:)

Well, well…this perfume seems so lady-like, sweet, subtle and flowery at the beginning. There is a wonderful bouquet of pear (not listed, but I smell it), lily of the valley, sweet pea and roses, all dewy and fresh, very romantic and well-rounded. I LOVE the top notes!!!
After a while, it settles and boo-ya! Out comes the vodka, right in your face. It is quite forceful and blunt. That combined with the pretty little girl flowers at the beginning makes for a surprising combo – kind of like seeing a young teenage girl in a drunken stupor at some bar.
My point is, I would much rather have the bouquet of spring flowers minus the vodka. I do not get the point – why would anyone want to smell like vodka???
Bellini, Amaretto even Mojito – that is all fine and dandy. But spirits like vodka? Nooooo thank you!
Top notes are great, middle notes…not so much.

I don’t smell vodka in it, only pear aroma. it is very nice, but a bit too syntetic for my nose, just like an Avon scent..not bad but not enough inspiring

I did not feel the vodka. Very delicate flavor. I like this perfume.

I find it hard to believe that there is a vodka note in this demure, femimine and optimistic floral.
I get no vodka. Just beautiful flowers and… exquisite flowers… and OH YES!, glorious flowers, along with a slightly green and lovely steaminess.
Premier Bouquet is a gorgeous, dewy, spring morning of a scent. A pretty little sun dress and strappy sandals. A stroll in the park.
I receive so many compliments when wearing PB, that I cant help but to feel beautiful, sexy, confident and happy. (Or maybe thats the vodka talkin!)
I absolutely adore this fragrance. My all time favorite for spring and summer.

  16. :

I don’t get vodka here at all. In fact, I don’t get much of anything in the beginning, it is very hard to recognize any one particular note at the top. After about an hour or so rose is the most prominent note on my skin and it remains that way for quite some time.

  17. :

I really wanted to like it but the vodka/alcohol notes were overpowering on my skin. I hate smelling like I had a drink frst thing in the morning.

I really love the top note but it becomes too sweet for me.

  19. :

    5 out of 5

I bought it blindly coz it is variation of First which I love. What a mistake, it smells like a kind of poison gas for me. cant bare it. Terrible. It is stuck to my skin and even after shower, i could still feel it. I am surprised it got so many positive reviews.

  20. :

Very fruity with dominant lily of the valley. A fragrance that is suitable for day wear. It is long lasting. I would not purchase it again, for some reason I find it boring, the notes never seem to change on me. However, it is a safe fragrance that does not offend.

  21. :

    5 out of 5

Light and fresh. Floral fruity. Lily-of-the-Valley and bergamot notes really make this fragrance light enough. Also green notes are noticeable. First this fragrance opens on me nearly like green apple scent, then it starts to smell on me nearly like Eclat d’Arpège by Lanvin.
Nice fragrance, but there is something that I don’t like in it, maybe the sweet pea note.

This perfume and Stile Donna by Sergio Tacchini is pouring from the same place. There is no difference between them, and my best words are in favor of Stile Donna by Sergio Tacchini, because it is more durable than First Premier Bouquet!

I really enjoy the crispness, the lovely flowers and all the musk, it’s a beautiful and quite strong scent. But the bottle and its box doesn’t make sense to me — they look like something from a doll’s house and the scent is based on vodka… not a drink for little girls.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

I do like it. It’s spring like and flowery, but it’s quite different than many other typical flowers. It’s somehow different than what you might expect from the composition – even the musk seems quite atypical, somehow “young” and “carefree” if you can say that about a musk hehe. To me this scent is combination of flowers and some fresh greenery and maybe the tiniest bit of vodka, I am not getting any fruits… I have had this for quite a while and true – I only feel like wearing it occasionally, but every time I do, it instantly reminds me of my childhood and my father’s huge garden. It’s not only the flowers and tree blossoms, it’s also all the grasses and weeds, wood and tree bark and leafs and water and the sunshine and rain as well as the dampness (perhaps there is even some moss in there) in the dark corners of the garden. It’s pretty and fun!

I don’t care for this one. There is something I don’t like in it and I can’t figure out which note it is. Just seemed plain and lacking of something.

I got this for $7 at TJ Maxx. At first spray I said this isn’t bad at all. It really isn’t a grand perfume but not too bad. Maybe a bit too strong and that is what got me thinking. It isn’t to me like Versace Crystal Noir is. I love Crystal Noir and I am glad that it only takes on spray to last you all day. I like that this scent will last. With First, I thought “good lasting power.” Yet, I don’t love it and can see this bottle sitting on my dresser forever and only get used once in a while. For $7 it wasn’t a bad buy but I would have been upset if I had bought it for $20+ However, it smells nice. I get alot of lily in this scent, but I have noticed that lily notest last a long time on my skin. The lily notes makes this great for spring and because it is so strong it is best to be worn at night. I don’t think this is a bad scent, just not for me.

I bought it today and so far… I don’t love it.I don’t like the Vodka notes in it. I bought it on the internet and I have missed that in the description. I wouldn’t buy it having read that. It smells a bit like an old lady unfortunately :/

  30. :

    4 out of 5

I was eagerly anticipating the masterpiece that this fragrance promised to be – but after a long awaited sniff test, I have only 3 things to say – soap, old-lady, and melon basket.
I’m sorry if that seems harsh, but it was a complete let-down. It was like they built one layer above the big impenetrable layer of old-fashioned florals (that which I call “old-lady” for lack of a better description) – that is juicy melons.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Floral Fruity huh…? Nah, it’s mostly floral with a pinch of bergamot in the beginning. The bergamont and vodka combo must really create the scent of apple in this perfume.
On my skin it smells really floral and dries down to a mild, musky, floral sweetness. On paper it dries down to a natural apple scent with a hint of woods and flowers. It isn’t intense but is noticeable to those around you.
Overall, I like it but don’t love it. Not that into florals but don’t mind having this in my collection. Defintately worth the $24.99 for a 3.4oz bottle that was purchased from Marshalls. ;’) Probably wouldn’t purchase another bottle after it runs out.
Lasting power is good for an edt. It lasts 5hrs minimum with a noticeable projection. This perfume would work for just about anyone. It’s a mild, sparkling, sweet and unoffensive floral.
UPDATE: Not really feeling this one. Based on the reviews I was expecting a lot more. The scent started to annoy me after extended wear. This a surpisingly average FLoral Fruity. Not impressed.

I AM a floral-hater and I DO LOVE this fragrance. I bought it for a great price based on all your reviews and the fact that the box seemed to be calling me everytime I saw it. On my skin I get no apples. That’s fine because my top notes were a crisp blast of rosewater and green notes. I could not specifically detect bergamot, even though it is one of my favorite notes. The heart notes I got very soon after first spray were roses and lily of the valley. The base notes came in very soon and prominently on my skin. I normally have a difficult time with florals because their base notes do not appear at all on me. With this fragrance I am getting a solid base of white musk, rose, and iris. Thankfully I did not get much jasmine (I hate jasmine and jasmine hates me). The sweet pea seemed to round out the whole fragrance rather than play dominant on my skin.
With all of the above considered, I am extremely happy that I have found a floral I can wear and enjoy! I’m actually going to buy myself a backup bottle. It’s really that enjoyable for a non-floral-lover like myself.
Thank you to everyone who reviewed for helping me find this lovely fragrance!!

My first impressions of this are bright, sparkling, synthetic pears and apples. Shortly thereafter arrive fressia, lily, and jasmine, with vanilla and sandal peeking through. Within ten minutes, the quality ingredients become apparent as almond blossom and rose escort in a full, fleshy tropical white fruit note. Surprisingly, this all works harmoniously. Upon the arrival of the polite white musk/vanilla/sandal drydown, one realizes this isn’t the girlie fruity we thought it was going to be. Decent sillage but mediocre longevity, but at $20/bottle, you can afford to reapply all day. If this was a wine, it would be a California Viognier. First Premier Bouquet is the younger sibling of Trueste (voile) by Tiffany, l’eau by Laura Ashley, and, of course, Miss Arpels by VC & A.
b.n. There is no aromatic relation whatsoever to the Floral Animalic Chypre nature of the original First (1976).

I bought it at a bargain price, solely based on the reviews. When I went home to open it, I wasn’t taken back. The scent was too familiar for me.. it was the scent of all of one of my aunts daughters. Yes, I kid you not. My cousins from that one aunt always wore this perfume at events. Of course I thought it was nice but never to the point where I wanted to find out what it was.
So, I wasn’t inlove with it completely at first. Now, I am completely head over heals inlove with this perfume. My intial thoughts of it being too old fashioned middle-eastern for me(smells of rose water and my grandma), were replaced with thoughts of an Aladdin sweeping me off my feet anytime I walked out the door with it on.
And because I am a sucker for compliments…I’m excited to say I got so many compliments on this. Even a silent one from a crush~_~. He tilted his head closer to quickly take a deep sniff before I left. Yay, I am happy! 😀

the first note smells like green apples, even this perfume doesn’t contains them. But it is light, sparkling, suitable for spring and summer.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

First Premiere Bouquet is a nice fragrance overall. I just wish it were a little more…something.
As many of the other reviews have mentioned, it is a delicate fragrance. I wish that the vodka and bergamont opening were a bit more pronounced and long lasting. I think that improved strength of those two elements would have made this an undeniable beauty of a fragrance.
Almost immediately, the flowery composition takes over the ‘fruity’ and sparkling aspect of this perfume. It honestly should be catergorized as a true floral. From beginning to end I can detect the Lily of the Valley, Jasmine, Rose, and Musk. While pretty, this formula is something that I’ve seen before and I was just hoping for a bit more.
Every now and again I pick up a really nice hint of what the fragrance could grow to be, but alas, it’s just not there.

Lovely floral scent, ideal as a gift, you can not go wrong with it. Delicate fragrance which I forwarded only because I could not remember the smell. A few days ago I tried it again, and I still think it is pleasant, smells somehow pure.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

This is one of the prettiest floral fragrances in my collection. It is both sweet and tender, not too overwhelming, but definitely with character. I cannot detect any Vodka, for my nose it is perfect bouquet of jasmine, bergamot, rose and lily of the valley. Really very elegant and long lasting, too. It came as a nice surprise to me, because I bought it blind, absolutely not knowing what to expect. And the purchase wasn’t a mistake, I loved it!

OMG!this is the best fragrance by Van Cleef I’ve ever tried!crispy, mild, floral and very lovely.I agree, even floral haters would like it!I can’t imagine anybody hating such a loveable perfume and I see all of the reviews are positive.
to mypersonalharm:I don’t think this perfume and tommy girl have the same nose behind.because tommy girl is designed by Calice Becker.by the way who cares?!both are very good;)
I found some similarities between this one and “eau de fleur de soie” by kenzo.
both are romantic and mild, smelling like light pink roses.yeah,in fact I don’t smell any vodka here.it’s just a mild rose and some green, fresh notes which become bolder as it remains.
I think I’ll add this loevly perfume to my collection one day.

    missk nearly said it all.
This is the freshest, most crisp and sparkly floral I’ve ever experienced and it lasts and lasts!
It reminds me very, very much of what Vent Vert used to be before it was reformulated – lots of green in the floral and just sweet enough to make me smile without being too flowery or too girly-girly. I agree with imgcas’ statement that “even floral haters would like it”, as I’m not much of a true floral lover myself.
Elegant, that’s the word for this, truly, truly elegant.
I fear that it’s been discontinued though, since I found it today for just $19.99 at a major U.S. discount store, the only bottle there, so grab it while you can!

Maybe because of the iris, it´s remind me Essence of Narciso. But have something more, and it fits more occasions. It´s fresh, light, perfect for spring and summer. Last all day.

I chanced upon it at the airport and fell in love with it right away! As I’m a lover of green notes, this one really blew me away!
It’s very clean and fresh. Floral but not overly sweet or heavy and I like the fruitiness too!
The staying power is quite amazing, but I figured that’s due to the musk and base notes! I’m normally not a big fan of musk or precious woods, but the musk in this one is enough to let the perfume last but not overly powering!
    Currently my favorite scent!

After spending the day testing Dior and Chanel fragrances, I am proud to say that this fragrance stood out amongst well-known designer perfumes. Premier Bouquet has so many likable qualities.
It begins with a refreshing burst of vodka mixed with the tang of bergamot orange. Although soft and delicate, it somehow creates a scent that is tropical and exotic. For me it was love at first sniff.
Just when I thought this scent couldn’t get any better, my nose was met with a deliciously sweet and sensual floral heart. This in my opinion is one of the best floral scents I have ever come across. The blend of sweet pea, jasmine, lily of the valley and rose is absolutely divine.
Premier Bouquet is so fresh and lively. In such a beautifully designed bottle, Antoine Lie and Sonia Constant have captured a celebration and recreated romance. Never in my life have I had a fragrance that had the ability to suit so many different occasions.
The lasting power is fantastic and the scent itself is strong but not overpowering. I would recommended Premier Bouquet to any woman, who like me enjoys her florals, or someone searching for something that is unique and versatile.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

Someone can tell that the same nose is behind this one and Tommy girl. There is a similar technique used here, creating a characteristic fizziness.Like soda and lime, like vodka and bitter lemon, like green-apple-perfumed champagne that bursts from its bottle.Very fresh,a bit masculine in its audacious attitude, but femminine hearted to its last drop.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

Light and fresh floral scent. I bet that even floral-haters would like it.
I think Premier Bouquet must be perfect in these days of spring when the sun shines so strong that you realize that winter is over.

  48. :

A very fresh, clean scent. I agree with Moszatka, it does smell very much like apples at first but it’s nice in that it’s not too sweet. After a couple of hours, it becomes a very pretty, soft floral.
    Has great lasting power.
