I have the roll on. Blind buy. Not a fan. Too sweet and floral. Seems suitable for a tween or teen. Zero longevity.

Not bad. It’s quite realistic like an actual floral bouquet or like putting your nose in a bouquet of flowers. The flowers in this bouquet are rose lotus jasmine. I could only detect a whiff of honeysuckle and it blends well with the rose. Reminds me of a scented deodorant I use called honeysuckle rose. There is a soapiness to this fragrance which is quite lovely and perfect to wear during a bath or after a shower. It’s more like a household perfume something to wear at home and not out in public. It’s strictly floral. It’s really very nice and it’s been freshened up with citrus. This is probably one of the finest of the Demeter Fragrances and on me it lasted about 3 to 4 hours which is a long time for a Demeter fragrance lol

A dreamy flower shop.
You walk in and take a look around. You want roses and ask the florist for roses but you’re browsing for other flowers for an multi floral bouquet for your special someone. You notice there are jasmine and lotus, which of course are very rare in some florist shops but not in perfumery. The first spritz is citric and thank God it doesn’t take too long for it to reach the floral heart and body. This smells of lotus, rose, honeysuckle and jasmine in that order. It’s also got something green but it could be just the greenery in roses. It has a sweet honeysuckle and a white floral jasmine that smells clean but nothing complex, it almost seems like they use the jasmine for a dry down. It’s a pretty linear scent and smells the same as it does from the first spritz until the fragrance fades away. But it is romantic, sweet, feminine and beautiful. I agree with the other reviews this smells like it could have a carnation and does smell like corsage at the Prom. If you like floral fragrances you’ll like this one. The price is very affordable and it’s such a nice scent. However it dose not last very long so you’ll have to keep reapplying. Recommended use: day time spring and summer. It also makes really good air freshner room fragrance. I fill my house with flowers every time I spray this into the air.

Demeter’s “First Love” wears on my wrist like a Jasmine Rose corsage, which is why I believe this was given the title of first love in the, um, *first* place. It does smell like a prom date, the kind of heavy, sweet floral fresh from the florist, yet dies on your skin as the dance swells into a long, drawn out party over night.
For me personally, it reminds me of my college days when I used to mix Jasmine with Rose Absolute chased with rosewater and a little Aphrodisia perfume oil from Song of India. Song of India Aphrodisia had that fruity, lotus twang to it that really made the Jasmine and Rose extra sweet. But it made me smell like *dead* flowers.
Demeter’s “First Love”, however, contains the remarkable scent of *living* flowers that, no matter how long it lasts on your skin, it smells fresh!
I was hesitant to try a roller ball oil, as I like Demeter sprays the best, but I have to say that oil or spray I don’t think would make a difference, unless you’d love to have this fragrance as a room scent. It would be fine to test that for a room! I think this would be an excellent home fragrance to set a romantic, or relaxing mood. It’s quite magical.
I find the combination of Jasmine and Rose to be an escape from the ordinary — the white knight in shining armor type of combination of flowers that can take you away from all of life’s little upsets — but just like any romantic fling, yes, you can only enjoy it in little doses.
Don’t just smell it, dream it, breathe, and let go.

I have the rollerball; I got it with a beauty subscription box. It smells beautiful. It’s a very soft and traditionally feminine scent.
Super floral: I can only catch floral notes and nothing else. Very rosy, and very sweet. But it’s nice nonetheless. Sometimes I like to put it on before I go to sleep.
Sillage is almost nonexistent, and as for longevity, it’s gone within an hour. But it’s very calming while it’s on. It might be better with a spray versus the rollerball.
