ome99 – :
A solid aromatic fruity woody fragrance with that classic Fierce DNA that has been a victim of reformulation. The major notes that you are going to get are the iris flower, the musk, the driftwood, and the lingering amber and warm white musk. As far as the the reformulation goes, the smell is pretty much the same. The 2014 batches were stronger and lasted for a good 7-8 hours and even though the oakmoss got taken out of it, it still retains that classic Fierce DNA, the scent just doesn’t last as long as it used to. It was quite a beast but now it’s really toned down. The longevity of the reformulation is about 2-3 hours now. If you really love this scent, look for a vintage batch. The way that you can differentiate a vintage version from the reformulation version is that on the vintage version, the box will say”Cologne” instead of “Eau De Cologne”, but if you’re just an average Joe who doesn’t care about reformulations unlike a fragrance head like myself, just get whichever version, the smell is basically the exact same, the oakmoss in the vintage just made the scent more fresher and greener while toning down the sweetness. If you don’t want to pay 40-50 dollars for this scent, get Calvin Klein Euphoria, Axe Phoenix, or Mark Ecko UNLTD instead for an almost identical vibe. Happy fragrance hunting!
