My mother had this gorgeous gem and I took it from her and used the hell out of it when I was very young, I do still have the empty bottle.
Absolutely unisex imo. I would be super happy if I find this any where.

Fever is HP’s magnetic and upbeat little sister. Yes they do smell similar, but with different personalities…Fever is younger, sweeter, fruitier with a cosmopolitan feel to it. Perfect for clubbing and date nights. The sillage is very impressive and longevity is good. Funny thing is my nose is not getting the blood orange? I get a whole lot of vanilla and sandalwood with a spicy/nutty kick, a bright touch of fruitiness and that velvety floral aspect of jasmine and frangipani. It’s quite an intense and attention-grabbing scent, especially for the first few hours, very sexy, and more ‘diva’ than ‘skanky’. It dries down into something softer and powdery after that, still enjoyable, but with less of a kick. Good quality and well-composed. It’s the scent you’d imagine wafting off a sassy 20-something doing her thing on the dance floor, that kind of girl who is always up for fun and excitement and can get any guy she wants with a toss of her hair, she is headstrong and fiercely confident. I personally prefer HP for its darker, bittersweet cozyness and mysterious allure, because I’m not that much of a sassy girl and Fever has a tendency to come off as a little bit too sharp on me. Still, I bought a bottle of it, because I know how rare it is…I might end up either selling/swapping. Or maybe I’d save it for those nights I want to feel like a hot-blooded little vixen.
I must say that I’m really, really confused as to why they would discontinue a scent like this, I’m very certain that those who adore HP and vanilla-oriental scents in general would adore this. If they had marketed this better, this would’ve been a huge hit, especially among 20-35 year olds.

This is such a gorgeous fragrance! I was extremely lucky to find a bottle of it on Ebay and will treasure every drop of it. I did notice some similarities with Hypnotic Poison when I first tested it on my hand, but overall it wears as a different fragrance. Fever is brighter and jucier, but it does posess the sensuality, mysticism and allure of HP. Sillage and longevity are pretty much comparable to HP as well.
It definitely deserves to be placed next to my special occasion perfumes as it is a priceless gem in my collection.
Edit: it has excellent longevity…3 hours later still going strong. But it’s not a heavy hitter, like HP, and dries down to a more ambery-sitrusy scent, not so much vanilla. I think it is a great alternative for warmer weather.

Yes, my bottle of this rare beauty has arrived recently, it is sooooo me! It is such a brilliant juice, a close sister to Hypnotic Poison, I actually bought it because of your comments, Sister!!!
I am in love – the bottle is to die for!!! And the fume…mmmm….it hasn’t got that bittery almond note (not that I don’t like bitter almond) but it is softer and fruitier.
It is actually more similar to Fiore Del Dragone than HP.
Must have for oriental vanilla lovers!!!!
It is such a shame it is so rare, nearly not possible to buy anywhere!!! I will cherish it forever 🙂
Beautiful notes without anything screaming here, without separate notes trying to dominate. Lovely mixture of calming floral and fruity notes sprinkled with vanilla seeds 🙂
    Gorgeous!!!

Oh, Yes, My Dear Sister! 🙂
You know me better than anyone 🙂
I am now dying to try that one – if this is a Hypnotic Poison variation and if it is as pleasant as Fiore Del Dragone – I am going to buy all the stock of Fever they keep in British perfume shops 🙂
Action – you know my addiction to HP (I already have 6 bottles including limited version), thank you for yet another recommendation, Sister! 🙂
I will now keep searching for it!!!
Let’s get uncle Google do the hard work for me 🙂

Where Fiore Del Dragone is more the tropical fruit interpretation of Hypnotic Poison, this gem could be seen as the more sweet-citrus version of Hypnotic poison. Being one of the greatest fans of the Celine Expert House, this one I only had in a test vial….
    🙁
It would be absolutely a must have for Mad-Lainey, to remain beside all her other Hypnotic flankers!

I can’t beleive it! It’s absolutely the same as Dior’s Hypnotic Poison. I’ve tested them today on a test paper, and I couldn’t tell the difference. What a pity, that it is not available anymore…

have a sample and its does faintly resemble hypnotic poison and then the drydown reminded me of Kenzo Amour but with a spicy citrus kick. No “playdoh” smell which is a plus in my book. Its nice but nothing new. And not very good lasting power

Very Seductive and mysterious. It’s jasmine wrapped in vanilla, according to my nose & recollection. I didn’t catch much of the rest.
    —-update—-
My mom gave me her extra bottle of this, which I have been refusing to use for a long time, on the basis that i have tried it before. But now I’m going to break my rule, and use this fragrance again. it is so warm and lucious. a perfect winter treat. the memmories it brings up keeps me calm and cozy. the feeling of happy holidays will surely last me all season, yay =)!
