Description

Van Cleef & Arpels, the jewelry house, launched its fragrance Feerie in 2008, followed by Feerie Eau de Toilette and Feerie Gold pure perfume in 2009. The new, limited edition appears in the fall of 2011 under the name of Feerie Rose des Neiges or “Winter Rose”.

Feerie Rose des Neiges is a clean, pure and delicate fragrance of floral – fruity composition. Top notes of pink pepper and litchi bring icy freshness, while the heart of rose and magnolia provides refinement. The final trail consists of cedar wood and tonka bean.

The bottle retains the same shape as the previous editions, this time in pearly white color that symbolizes white roses and winter sun. Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie Rose des Neiges is available as 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Very pretty soft Rose .It’s like sitting in a Rose Garden when the wind is blowing 🙂
Linear and close to the skin . Delicate and classy.

I’d decided to buy a small bottle of Feerie RdN because of my undying love for roses, and I was not disappointed. Just the opposite!
Rose des Neiges is just gorgeous. Classy and elegant, it makes me think of pearls and lace, silent cinema and things like that 😉 You know, vintage in the best possible way.
Longevity is good (on me, about 6hrs) and sillage is delicate, but noticeable. The rose and magnolia are the most prominent components to my nose.
I find the scent suitable for wearing during all four seasons, for it’s not cloying nor overly fleeting. Plus: you can get it for a decent price.

A gentle floral-musky smell. Reminds me od Dior Addict Sensuelle.

What a fancy bottle and name! However the scent is not the true Rose des Neiges. It is mostly rose magnolia combination. I could get litchi, pepper and the bitter cedar note too.

This is One of the best rose, magnolia combos.tender and simple also classy and pretty.
Rose is delicate, flirty and cool here, there is a twist of litchi that adds right amount of sweetness to it,magnolia appears soft and silky..there is enough pepper to add charm and taste. woodsy notes and Tonka aren’t really noticeable on me but they’re there,to round edges and add to it’s depth and sophistication and turn it to a timeless beauty
it’s cool, not as icey cool as I had imagined and wished, still it’s fresh and sparkling, great for spring and summertime, but I think it’s deep enough for fall and even winter, for example in indoor events that aren’t too cold
Feerie Rose de neiges is dreamy, innocent and romantic so likable by young girls,at the same time it has elegance and sensuality for mature ladys.I also have the original feerie which is not bad but is not a favorite either.I prefer this pretty flanker
Rose and magnolia are really gorgeous, they are soft, creamy and natural, rose des neiges is chic, adorable and well balanced without any complication or show off
I can’t move on without talking about this unique bottle,a real gem,a cristlised price of ice with a little feerie sitting on the silver flower shape stopper, this is really how a feerie should smell, with a long snow white silk dress and a ring of white and red Roses around her head
Longevity is almost good,at least 5-6 hours, sillage is soft to moderate, projection is just OK for a feerie scent
And be aware that 30ml bottles don’t come with the metal feerie thing
If you’re looking for an elegant and delicate floral-rosey-fruity give it a try

A cool scent, yes, but because of that, perfect for a summer’s day. So far it’s lasted a good 7 hours, despite it being 38°C.
Rose and pepper sums it up pretty well. Not as sweet and crisp as original Feerie, I find it a bit softer and quieter, less flirty.
Thanks to anitaoolong for ending my desperate search for this beauty!

I don’t really see this as wintery, but it is probably better suited to that time of year due to how powerful it can be. On me this wears as a sweet make-up smell, with a hint of freshness. It is very unique, and great quality, with excellent lasting power and strength. A very pretty fragrance.

Second bottle and still love the Rose,Pink pepper,Tonka & wood mix – fresh, sparkles, flirty and chic. The Rose have a sweet aura, perhaps the litchi who create that. Great scent for cooler weather. Timeless – both young women and grownup can wear this beauty. Pink pepper on my skin turns magic and softens the sweet notes and at the same time lifts the flowernotes with an umph – in a good way.

I have completely changed my mind about this one! It´s absolutely beautiful- one of the prettiest rose fragrances I have ever tried. I like pink pepper, but often it annoys me slightly as well, but here it´s done so nicely, just a drop of pink pepper and the clean, bright lychee. There is nothing fruit salad-y or “exotic” about the lychee- it´s just bright and sparkly together with the really, really nice rose/magnolia combo. I know it may be common, but sometimes I think that the rose/magnolia combo is the best smell in the world- and here it´s heaven! And for once the cedar is quite strong and the tonka quite weak- so many perfumes do it just the other way around and easily turn into ice cream territory. This is actually the perfume that taught me how much a love cedar! I don´t find this cold nor do I find it warm. It´s not super fresh either, but it´s bright and at the same time… solid! It is really way more original than I gave it credit for in my earlier review.

It’s always nice to see a flanker that’s completely different form the original instead of just taking notes from the original and rearranging them a bit.
Rose des Neige truly is a wintery rose scent, but I could see myself wearing it year round. It has the crispness of winter and a fresh rose with the sweetness of litchi which makes it bright instead of chilly. This is one of my favorite rose scents – it’s youthful, unique and lives up to its name.

I had real difficulty with this one, it smelt alright-ish but I never knew when to wear it, it’s to strong for daytime but not something I’d wear on a night time either. I ended up giving this away as I just couldn’t wear it & now whenever I smell it on the person I gave it to I hate it.. Hmm

  12. :

Very light, pretty and sugary, reminds me of sweet sticky lipstick smell, not much staying power on me.
To me this doesn’t really smell of rose, more generic sweet floral, a bit little girly, in fact I gave this to my daughter as she loved it and said it smelt like dolly mixture sweets!
I would say this is a basic everyday scent, but nothing as magical as the bottle suggests.

These notes sounded so promising, apart from the lychee- a new one for me.I sprayed, puzzled and sprayed again.Unusual smell that I remembered from the past but couldn’t recollect where it came from.I’ve now remembered – hair removal cream. This has a chemical smell for me that I can only attribute to the Lychee.I don’t think i’m ever going to wear this again.
    Anyone up for a swop?

Very delicate rose accompanied by magnolia and lichi. It is a perfect work scent. It is light, clean and it does not project more than a few centimeters. It reminds me of Pleasures EL. It is not a groundbreaker and it is easly forgetable, but if you are looking for just a nice, feminine, work scent, that will not offend anyone, then this is perfect choice.

Blind buy gone wrong. God I wanted to love this but I can hardly smell it on me? So vague and soft its not worth the 13 quid I paid for it. My girlfriend says she loves it on me which is good I guess..means someone can smell it at least. But no…on Ebay it goes.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

It smelled a lot more interesting on paper than on my skin. I mean, it’s a nice, creamy and cosy scent, but it just… reminds me of a Dove soap bar a little too much. It’s very pleasant, but nothing that’d swipe me off my feet.
I get a lot of tonka bean, which is one of my favorite notes in general, some magnolia, some rose and a dash of pink pepper… and well, not much else. There’s no “neiges”, no cold and snowy part, on me. However, I’d feel more comfortable wearing this one in winter.
Both sillage and longevity are decent.

I’m not normally one for choosing fragrances based on the bottle alone, but this was an exception. The bottle is absolutely magical and so very pretty. The glass is frosted white like a twinkling icy snowflake. The fragrance is equally pretty-on me its quite simple and essentially rose. I get no fruity notes at all, just a light delicate feminine rose. Its fresh and not too sweet. The top notes are about all there is to this though, it faded within an hour and I didn’t get any cedar or sandalwood. It’s lovely whilst it lasts, but longevity on me is very poor, which is a shame.

Okay, to be completely honest I bought this perfume (without even smelling it) only because of Juliana6’s review.
Autumn and winter are my favourite seasons and I love rose scents, so of course I needed to have it, especially since it’s called “Winter rose”.
For some reason I find it difficult to describe it. It’s not sweet nor really fresh either. But I can say that it is a classy rosey scent. It lasts quite well but it’s not a strong fragrance that everyone around you can smell.

I must confess that I fell in love with the bottle at first sight, and when I read about the notes I imagined that this perfume would be so beautiful. There wasn’t really a store near me that sells this so I ordered this online. Wow, this perfume really does turn out to be amazing.
It’s really floral at first so this would be perfect for spring, but the litchi note at the beginning keep Feerie Rose des Neiges grounded. About 5 minutes later the rose and magnolia appear, and after that Rose des Neiges pretty much remains a floral perfume. It feels like I’m relaxing in a garden surrounded by magnolia and roses.
The longevity of this is about 5 hours, which is decent for an EDT, but it’s very awesome when it lasts. By the 5th hour it becomes really more creamy and close to the skin and smells like a very expensive soap. The scent is so beautiful, it’s definitely not a generic floral scent, and I think it would make a very safe blind-buy.
    ***Edit***
I wore it to bed about 10 hours ago, when I wake up today I can still catch some hints of this so it actually lasts a pretty long time. It’s just not a loud perfume.

Very pretty scent, every day, light and feminine and fresh- but please be aware you only get the fairy design on the 50 ml bottle and never the 30ml size some retailers are deceptive.

To me this scent is a “kinder” version of Pleasures by Estee Lauder. The notes are different, yet I smell a strong resemblance. Maybe it is the specific rose type that has been used? In any regard this is warmer even though it is a wintery “cold” scent, which rather say more about the tingeling icyness of Pleasures. Feerie Rose suits me better at the moment- I will use it for work- it´s stylish and pretty and feminine without being super sweet and overly fruity like many fashionable rose scents at the moment OR full of those stern lilies in Pleasures. I really like the cedar wood in this too- it´s soft, real and classy and ads debt. This is by no means a super original scent, yet it is so balanced that it becomes very beautiful.

Feerie Roses des Neiges is a beautiful, fresh rose. The opening brings the harmony of pink pepper and litchi, followed by romantic notes of rose and magnolia. The scent is full of icy freshness; it’s feminine, innocent and almost fragile, like a snowflake. I agree with another reviewer that this slightly resembles Miracle by Lancome – I’m definitely picking up on the same elegant, clean, icy-fresh vibe.
For an EDT, Roses des Neiges has a decent longevity. It’s a little similar to Feerie Spring Blossom – they’re both fresh, clean, and well-behaved fruity-floral scents; but whilst Spring Blossom is a little more soapy, and the litchi note is much more pronounced; Roses des Neiges is built around roses and magnolia. It’s a happy, young, but still quite sophisticated scent, and very non-offensive, so I’d recommend it for everyday wear. Perfect for winter thanks to the beautiful ‘icy’ notes, but I think it can also be quite refreshing to wear during hot summer days.
I purchased the 30ml bottle, which, unfortunately, comes without the little fairy, but it’s still quite cute.

I just LOVE this perfume. in the winter it is like I am transported to a winter wonderland, with delicate snowflakes falling on the ground, and love is in the air. I am hoping that they make this perfume in the larger 3.4 ounce bottle! that would be wonderful, especially if they had a gift set at christmas too!!
why should only the original have the large size and gift sets? This perfume is delicate, like a cloud of inocent rose, but not juvenile! it is truly magic.
I tried the spring blossom version, it is very nice but the rose one is just my absolute favorite!!

it’s the limited edition in 2011, where can i buy it now?

  25. :

It smells like the first snow slowly falling and creating a light veil on all surfaces early in the morning. The sky is light rosy, the sun is about to rise, the snowflakes are twinkling, the branches are already covered with frost.
Fresh, white rose silently lying on the ground.
This scent reminds me Miracle by Lancome – the same feminine, clean, fresh vibe, the same elegance and simplicity. Miracle is more warm, this is colder.
In “Rose des Neiges” the rose is dominant, well pronounced and natural but it’s not too sweet because the well blended peppery hint keeps it “grown up” and sophisticated.
    I love it!

I’m always happy when the name, the bottle and the scent are a match. If there were such a thing as fairy tale snow, I’m sure it would smell like this. It’s soft and dreamy and enveloping, with just the tiniest touch of coldness / sharpness. So glad I don’t detect roses, as they are very sharp and imposing to me. Maybe this fairy tale winter rose is more delicate and subdued.
I also have to thank Mooniq for her enthusiastic review. It sparked my interest to the extent of a blind buy and I don’t regret it one bit.

I just received this and I am very happy I ordered it! Found it pretty cheap and I have been curious about this limited edition for a while…
This is such a delicate, sweet, adorable & creamy scent, it’s hard not to like 🙂 ღ
Personally I detect more Magnolia than Rose, with a twist of Litchi & creamy Sandalwood.
Pepper, Tonka & Cedar are not detectable to my nose.
    ♥♥♥♥
Reminds me of John Galliano edt

This delicate rose is simply adorable! Rose in the pleasant company of magnolia on a fresh bed of cedar and sandalwood, with just a tiny bit of sweetness from the Litchi to create that inviting sense of femininity, and tonka bean to round it off and add that final touch of magic.
This is one of the most feminine scents that I have ever encountered. Needless to say I have fallen hopelessly in love with this mesmerizing fragrance…
Tack Mooniq för en jättefin recension!

My new love! I have really fallen for this scent. So fresh, so womanish, so elegant and sophisticated!
On my skin I get most of Rose, Pink pepper, Tonka, Cedarwood and Sandalwood. Pink pepper on my skin turns magic and blends wonderful with the other notes. Timeless – a scent for almost every woman, I think. The Cedarwood and Sandalwood are very soft, almost a little bit sweet and very female. Just a lovely parfume! A keeper! On my skin I can smell it for about 5 hours, if I spray my clothes I can smell this scent for about 2 days, good for an Eau de Toilette.

This perfume is greatly under estimated, it is definitely not a spring or summer time perfume. Winter and cooler weather it’s the perfect place for it to develop. In the warmer weather it smells stinky, cheap and generic. But in the colder weather it turns into a beauty that it really is. Its smells like a colder kind of rose with cedar, a very cold rose. At times I can also smell some tonka bean.

    Ladies, listen to me !
If you want to seduce me, wear it ! xD
More seriously, its fresh sweetness is way too adorable. You look like a fairy when you wear it, I swear !

  32. :

This is not the same white rose which you could smell the flower shop or in the garden – it is surrounded by magnolia and sandalwood, maybe even the pink pepper starts to play the first violin? I also feel a sweet note – no sugar and vanilla and toffee. A typical, well-balanced sweetness. Something beautiful .. If it smells like an enchanted world of fairies in winter I’m writing on it
Fragrance for women of all ages. It has always seemed to me that the rose perfume fit for the age group 40 +, but this time the smell is just universal.
The name itself implies that the smell of winter, and indeed it seems to me that for Christmas FEERIE rose will be perfect, because it is classy and elegant.
Bottle lovely – but my 30 ml is without fairies. Plug like rose petals and he looks like a polished bottle, crystal pearl.
Durability – about 4 hours, the clothes and the hair longer. Lovely scent !! Very unique

A blind buy for me, based on the stunning bottle and my love for the original Féerie scent. But I don.t like it.. The opening notes strongly remind me of perfumes that old ladies wore in my youth., which pretty much puts me off. Then it more or less dies on me ( no pun intended). Mmmm, swap, anyone?

  34. :

This smells pretty but it is too weak, I can hardly detect it after 25mn. I wish I got the tonka bean and cedar in the base but I don’t. It is a fresh rose scent , good for lovers of light pink scents. It isn’t the best but can’t say it isn’t nice. Weak and a bit boring.

Hmmmmm….creamy, rosy…quite weak, its nice though but very light…cant detect other notes…rose is surely very dominant..very quiet fragrance which reminds me of Chloe edp…
