Description

Avon launches Far Away Rebel in July 2018 as the latest fragrance in the Far Away collection. It is developed with perfumer Jean-Marc Chaillan, from the IFF who said: “I felt inspired by the woman who emanates hints of innocence beneath a layer of audacious passion.”

This combination opens with a vivid burst of crème de cassis and fresh orange blossom and finishes with a salted chocolate and toffee, as “an alluring blend of naughty and nice.”

Available as a 50 ml EDP.

OK so I bought it brand new and boxed… Bottle smelt like chemically fishy upon first opening lid. Not a pleasant surprise. Sprayed the perfume a few times and the actual perfume came through (I have NO idea what was resting in the spritz cap initially) fish smell gone, GOOD smell replaces it. This perfume is really nice! Good trail in the first hour or so. I put it on about four hours ago and it’s a barely there skinscent now, requires reapplying. Lovely and gourmand.

I have bought this by the positive comments.. and it was a very good deal for 9 euro, so I decided what a heck.
I have not tried it before purchase. Turned out for me and on me this is a bit cheaper version of Viva la juicy. They both have this annoying note of musk or whatever this is. From the first sniff from the bottle I’ve already thought that the smell is very familiar, but when I applied it on my skin – boom! Viva la juicy…
For those who like Viva la juicy but cannot afford it – Rebel is nice and very affordable alternative. Not sure I am going to keep my bottle as I already own two of Juicy Couture, but still… Great job Avon

Overtones of spicy caramel with daring blackcurrant and smooth, hidden chocolate peeping out from under zingy orange blossom. Love it!

Omg I want this! I’m just sooo kookoo for black currant, this looks amazing!
Trying to find it in Toronto but it’s not even on the Canadian website yet!

An absolute gem from Avon, an excellent quality zeitgeist gourmand that manages to stand out from the herd.
I can absolutely see where those reviews saying it’s like Alien are coming from, it’s the salty note combining with the orange blossom that does it.
Overall it does have more of a Black Opium vibe, but it’s not remotely a dupe. The blackcurrant keeps it brighter and not so sweet, this note could be more prominent I feel.
It doesn’t bear any resemblance to the original Far Away.
Clever stuff, definitely full bottle worthy. Only the longevity gives a clue to its price tag, happily Avon do those handy travel sprays!

It has a very promising dark fruity opening (I smell plum but blackcurrant is the main note listed) and warm, milky heart. Unfortunately in the drydown a nasty, salty note comes that totally ruins the combination. It’s probably supposed to give the scent an “edge” but to my nose it’s a disastrous attempt. I’d love to get a flanker of this without this salty note – then it would be just perfect!

To be honest, this was a blind buy, because I love chocolate and caramel notes.I wasn’t dissapointed,in fact I was very surprised.I used to believe Avon perfumes smelled very”common”and all the same, but this perfume, like the description says,is very unique.I doesn’t smell like Avon either, but more like a quite expensive perfume. And the bottle is nice too.
At first, you can clearly smell the cassis, then it becomes a sweet perfume. It’s longlasting too.
Overall,a very nice perfume,I love it

I’m a big fan of the Far Away range and have bought most of them over the years. I bought this and fell in love with it. It smells lovely but it is the one out of the whole range that has no staying power within no time the smell had virtually gone. Such a shame they have bought out such a beautiful smelling addition to the range but ruined it by the lack of staying power

At first I didn’t think this was anything like the original Far Away but after 3 hours plus its definitely got something reminiscent of it.
I agree Blackcurrant is the most noticeable top note and there is a creaminess mixed in. A hint of chocolate is also there, I could detect this almost from the off but it seems to have worn off since. his may be due to the hot weather and my skin though.
I find this very good value for money. As an Avon aficionado this is a definite must as it’s combinations are more unique than some of the more run-of-the-mill perfumes produced. The bottle itself is quite divine, a cut above a lot of the others.
All in all a thumbs up.

An absolute corker from Avon, one of the best fragrances I’ve tried from them since Treselle. It has a Black Opium vibe going on but I wouldn’t call it a dupe, just a vibe. Doesn’t last incredibly long on the skin but is cheap enough to keep re-spraying. I much prefer it to the original Far Away.

This smells a lot more expensive than it is, with creme de cassis (blackcurrant) being the dominating note.
It is a sweet treat of a perfume, a fruity dessert plate. It has a lot of depth and lasts well, being somewhat intense and sensual.

This is very close to the original one but much more sweeter, starting with vanilla and ends with toffee and little bite of chocolate❤️

Really nice, read a few reviews before buying it and people are raving about how it smells like Alien….it’s absolutely nothing like Alien apart from the colour of the bottle perhaps! Unfortunately it doesn’t last long on my skin, it will probably be more suited to the cooler months. It’s keeping in trend with the Black Opium, Diesel Loverdose etc etc but it ain’t Alien, that’s for sure 😉
Update: After wearing this for a month or so now it’s very like Diesel Loverdose Red Kiss, obviously a weaker version of it but very similar.
