The first few minutes were pure alcohol, then all i could smell was wood and something similar to men’s aftershave. It’s a shame i don’t like this perfume much, because I love the bottle.

I blind bought a 30ml mostly because of the bottle, and also the fact that the reviews here on the scent were generally favorable. When it arrived I was a bit disappointed to find that the golden part was just plastic (my friend said, were you honestly expecting metal from Anna Sui?! Yeah I guess I was hoping for… gold-plated metal?). In any case the bottle is still quite well done and you can’t tell it’s plastic without handling and close inspection.
As for the scent, it’s quite good, but not anything too special. The first spray was very familiar. I get the raspberry, pomelo, cypress and cedar. And also something sugary, the praline? The pink pepper, praline and cedar well last on my skin, I could smell it after shower the next day sometimes.
To me this is a woman’s perfume, but because of the citrus woodsy notes it’s not too sugary. I don’t think it’s masculine, although I wouldn’t mind smelling this on a guy, I imagine it would work well for some men.
Now I want a gold unicorn necklace…

Review by sparklycherub’s daughter age 11
As a person who loves unicorns, my eye was immediately drawn to the amazing bottle- only to soon be mesmerized by the opening notes. The sweet yet fruity scent drew a smile to my face. Soon enough, I put some on my wrists. The spray nozzle is very good for it evenly dispersed the scent. I walked around town for a few hours and then went home. I could still smell the scent. It changed over time, to only get better!
Overall, this is a great all-year-round fragrance. It lasts long and the sillage is at about an arm’s length.

Jumping on the packaging bandwagon,I had to have at least 1 small bottle of this in my perfume pantry.
It arrives, as a blind buy, I open it and spray.
Back I go, to a time where only ladies wore perfume. I MEAN ladies. No riff raff would smell this lovely.
It’s got an old time feel to it. But it IS actually very modern and can quite easily compete with any Lolita or other popular scents.
Earthy, comforting. Then, I pictured myself on a very sunny summers day, in the English countryside somewhere, riding a lovely grey pony. And we brush past a huge raspberry bush. Raspberry bush. Not the actual berry, but a bush. It’s so real, I kept looking around for that bush.
If this was an eau de parfum, my god, it would give everyone within 1 kilometer a severe headache. Instead, it’s a toilette with softness and subtle staying power.
Back to the packaging, and ofcourse its so adorable. This golden unicorn that would bulge any little girls heart, including those of us who have been grown women for some time.
What a lovely little pony ride that unicorn gives.

Packaging is superb. I wanted this firstly because of the packaging. It sold out in the first month it enters the market in my country and I had it gifted to me from other country. The bottle is nice and sturdy.
It smells sweet and moderately heavy more often than not, although in certain weather this could smell perfect and lighter. It suits a younger me more than now but I still love the bottle.

Perfect packaging, an incredibly lovely sweet smell. I bought 30ml bottle after I received the samples. I fell in love with this perfume. My boyfriend said ” smells good ” as soon as I wore a fantasia.
This is a middle heavy sweet smell. It’s not as light as sugar, and it’s not as heavy as a base note. I felt most strongly was the raspberry, which made it rather cheerful. I could imagine the warmth of the sun in the cool air of late summer from this perfume. It’ll fit for teenage or twentie girls.
Ah, I’m in love with this perfume!

A beautiful perfume, but not on my skin. My sister loves the perfume (and the bottle too). Praline is not too over powering and it’s like other Anna Sui perfume; mysterious and able to use nausea inducing notes and turn it lovable for most people.

This smells lovely. The bottle is very nice as well.
A keeper.

I got it….yay!!! I love this soooo much. Tried it in-store a few weeks back and put lots of hints out to Santa but I just couldn’t wait that long so bought it! It’s gorgeous, and not just the bottle. It’s a sweet tart citrusy fragrance, starts off with a sharp citrus burst but the sweetness instantly kicks in. I don’t get any masculine vibe with this, just lovely sweet feminine fragrance on my skin. It’s perfect in the cold snowy weather here, and the bottle looks so magical sitting on my dresser. I wasn’t really sure if it’s an Acorn or a Cupcake, I’ve studied it for a while and I’m undecided……. Anyway I Absolutely love it xx

I bought this unsniffed because of the amazing bottle. The bottle is probably the most beautiful bottle ever – so very welldone and beautiful. Glass (acorn?) is heavy and thick and feels luxurious and vintage, and the golden parts are heavy and thick and beautifully ‘carved’. The little unicorn on top is truly the icing on the cake. Perfect, very whimsical and fairytale like. Its looks reminds me of an old vintage wind up jewellery box. SO pretty. Box looks amazing as well – pretty and baby blue – and compliment the bottle perfect.
After praising this wonderful bottle, let me get to the juice itself: kinda meh. I really wished that I would love it, but I don’t. Anna Sui in general isn’t for me, I think. Too light and fruity and citrusy. Same goes with this. I can appreciate it for being a great unique scent – just not for me. First blast is heavy lemon/lime and pine/cypress/cedar. I am so ashamed, but my first thought was that it smells like Wunderbaum (you know, the little scented car-freshener cut as a green little tree..) Luckily it rather quickly turns into something sweeter, highly dominated by the raspberries. But it continues to have a very citric smell. Like an old school cologne – it is very unisex in my opinion. Or well actually I think it falls between two chairs; a bit manly for a woman, but a bit too feminine for a man. (Of course just my personal opinion – any one should always wear what they like themselves, that is all that matters).
After a while, pink pepper jump out to say hello, but are overpowered by cypress and raspberries and cedar.
It reminds me of the manly sidekick to Jessica Simpson’s ‘Vintage Bloom’, as they have a similar lemony/citric note, where Jessica’s are more sweet and sugary, this one is more cedar/cypress and therefore more like a manly cologne.
It is not a bad fragrance by any means – just not for me. Too manly, too zesty. But I can imagine it being perfect for somebody else. I will keep a big bottle, as I simply just love its looks. But I don’t think the fragrance match the bottle, the add, package or name in any way. From the add, box, name and bottle, I would expect something sweet and cotton candy and girly.
Evigen – :
This one is interesting starts off very citrusy and sweet and then it becomes very aromatic like a men’s cologne. It’s very nostalgic for me as it smells like a cologne one of my favourite cousins wore years ago. After the first few minutes this becomes pretty unisex…I am guessing it’s the cypress and cedar. Its nice and different. Not sure if I should buy though.
ikva – :
Well, I said id get it on release and I did. SO. Heres the verdict! Beautiful perfume, packaging and all. Yes, I bought it for the bottle. I honestly didnt expect much from the perfume itself. Figured it’d be another fruity/candy sweet scent. And yes, it is sweet! But.. Very well done.
The main note I get, (to my pleasant surprise) is the cypress. The sweetness comes mostly from the raspberry, its tart and a little zingy. No cupcake or sugar sweetness to be found. Praline is not at all detectable to me in this. The pomelo also lends a helping hand, working together with the cedar, pepper, and cypress to keep fantasia crisp and fresh.
This perfume really does remind me of nature, the fall time. Imagine picking raspberries off a bush in the middle of the woods on a cool autumn day. I totally get the acorn bottle now!
watWisuattmib – :
I would die for that bottle
vazz – :
yup that bottle – I want it 🙂
bobintak – :
Okay, here’s a confession: I didn’t even read the list of notes before hitting the “I want it” button. Now, the note pyramid seems really typical for an Anna Sui fragrance, but the bottle is gorgeous, or gorgeously over the top.
hitslab – :
Am I the only one who thinks this bottle looks like a giant golden acorn?
