Zia, you must have a partial anosmia to the caramel note, so you smell the perfume without it , probably faintly a fruity pear (though the frui I smelled was a very golden nectarine. Fancy has a lot of caramel, perhaps too much for your nose receptors,so they overload and cancel the signal to the brain. Your sister probably won’t be pleased by receiving Fancy as a gift.
fenix77759 – :
I picked this up from Marshall’s recently. I was really looking for a caramely sweet spicy scent, but all I get is a soapy pear. It’s a nice, fresh, clean pear–but no spicy caramel or vanilla at all. It’s a real bummer, and I can only attribute it to reformulations, although I hate to be a part of the apocalyptic horror about reforms.
Bummer. I have a sister who likes soapy scents, so at least I’m covered for a gift!

I think this is one of the more sophisticated sweet celebrity scents I have worn. A lot of the time celebrity perfumes tend to smell pretty much the same and I don’t own many of them. Fancy is a very easy going fragrance that is not cloying or obnoxious to wear and is actually not a young girl’s perfume. The floral notes compliments well with the sweet notes really well and its caramel and almond gourmand smell that makes this sophisticated. A successful buy!
Rossamaha – :
Id forgot just how good this beautiful perfume is, Id loved it in the past because I have a few bottles here but in the quest to discover the greatest gourmand scents ever, they got pushed to the back.
Well today I decided to wear Fancy and Wow. All the beautiful notes came back like a melody of bliss for my ol factor sense.
A dense, very sweet, creamy, fruity, caramel, vanilla that on my skin comes across as a very elegant, and dare I say, A classy gourmand.
I can’t believe it is so beautiful and after literally hundreds of gourmands over the last few years, Fancy is still in my top ten.
A+ A must try for gourmand lovers.
Uploarlimmawl – :
The fruity top notes make for a strange opening, but it very quickly turns into the promised caramel / vanilla / almond / pear. Never have the “main notes according to your votes” section been so on-point. It’s a sweet caramel gourmand with a slightly sour note that keeps it interesting and stops it being sickly.
I think this will really stand out at its best when I wear it on a cool autumn evening. I don’t get florals, just those great caramel-vanilla vibes. Great sillage too.
Артем1121 – :
I’ve had this for a few years now and didn’t use it because I have many other perfumes that I used instead. But today I decided to put this on after reading some lovely reviews and I was not dissapointed. First I couldn’t smell much but after a few minutes I started to getting such delicious whiffs of it, yumm… It is very sweet indeed but does seem to have a light and airy feel to me. I sprayed it on my underarm, so sillage is moderate then I guess. I hope longevity will be at least 3 hours. For me that will be enough for this perfume. I do like to use different perfumes during the day.
Update: it is still on my skin after 7 hours, not much more than a skin scent, but it smells very nice.
FefFleenodymn – :
I didn’t think I would like it so much! It is sweet, smooth and dries down to the most wonderful vanilla! Yumm!
mel711 – :
One of the best fragrances on a budget. Great quality! rich caramel with vanilla undertones stays on all day. It last longer than most highend fragrance designer houses
Shinkorush. – :
This one is a hot mess of sickly sweetness on me. I can’t pick out the notes, it’s like spraying syrup on myself. Not for me. After trying several JS scents, I’m wondering if it’s something in all of her perfumes that don’t work on my skin.
ne4tik – :
This smells so sweet & good without being cloying or synthetic smelling . Juicy pear , berries to begin with & this amazing fizzy note of a really good creme soda for hours – It’s divine ! The vanilla & amber gives it that creaminess that I covet in any lotion , spray or any perfume I wear . This does remind me of Chopard’s Casmir in that it has that same delicious inviting homemade rice pudding base to it all , . I will wear this any day , any season , but I can see how this would especially fantastic on a cool Autumn day . Ms. Jessica came out with a gem here , it’s gorgeous & LASTS , 8 plus hours for me .
Hoireesoubara – :
This is one of the best celebrity perfumes! It’s a sweet yet fresh caramel gourmand scent which is perfect for the fall season. This smells a bit like a mixture between I Am Juicy Couture and Gold Couture by Juicy Couture to me. The longevity is 10+ hours on me which is really impressive. If you want a cheaper fragrance that lasts and gets you compliments, this is the one!
FlikZiS – :
I wanted a perfume I can wear at 9 am classes without suffocating people around me
This is it.
Nothing too dreamy, or ‘fancy’
Its just right, nothing too special. Girly but not too girly,

Fancy
Caramel
Creamy
This kicks the hell out of most other celeb scents I’ve tried.
I don’t go for them general,y
I think this would be a great mixer as well as on its own.

The caramel note probably overwhelmed your sensory nerves in the nose and they responded with the burnt rubber/sour lemon
aroma. Burned rubber is a classic vanilla/caramel overload smell, felt it on Pink Sugar and a Brazilian perfume Revelar Noite. Now I am used to them and do not feel that horrible smell. So you should persevere, it is easier to recover from this than from total or partial anosmia and a somewhat similar proccess. After the caramel weakened you felt the original aroma , delicious (in my opinion). Use the smallest spray at night time, and in time you probably will come to enjoy, even leave it alone for some months, You may get used to it.

Oh!!! I desperatly wanted to like this!! I was so happy waiting for it to arrive, thinking this was going to be one of my favorite caramel, vanilla creamy goodness, long lasting perfume at a great price..But as soon as I took it out of the box! Oh God I hated it..I don’t know why I keep smelling rotten lemons and burnt sugar in it, and it doesn’t even have a lemon note!! Something in it smells like super strong sweet lemons or a sour/sweet note…and the note is strongly present in the opening, because an hour later, the “lemon” note vanished and then I could get a sweet powdery vanilla scent from it. But sadly it’s too long what I have to wait to actually enjoy this. Giving it to a friend. So sad, I really wanted to enjoy this, as I LOVE sweet scents like, Mariah Carey Dreams, La vie est belle from Lancome, DKNY Nectar, VR FlowerBomb,Pink Sugar and many more sweet gourmand perfumes!! But can’t enjoy this one, and this was soo cheap and lasts so much I really wanted this to work for me. It’s a great perfume for all of those who can wear it and enjoy it, great price and great lasting power.
scooguigersiz – :
I don’t think orientals are for me. That being said, Fancy is a light oriental vanilla. There are definite smoke/incense/spice notes, but nothing overwhelming. They blend well with the woodsy notes. The vanilla undertone is not especially apparent, but it keeps the smokiness sweet without being gourmand or little girly. This is a good grown-up scent that is fairly inoffensive, as far as scents with smoke and spices go. I feel like this would be a good fall or winter scent, as many others have indicated on the ratings above.
Edited to add: I tried it again tonight, and it was more sweet and less smoky / incense-y.
SERGO2011 – :
Will anyone be so kind as to tell me about PRE 2012 batch codes? Where do I look? What is/are the codes?
I’m about to run out, and…. halp!
bogdan3000 – :
I used to wear this fragrance when I was twenty something. It smelled great on me and got better and better as the day went on. It was definitely a caramel, vanilla, smoky scent for me. My dad would say I smelled like pipe tobacco in French vanilla. Lol. I enjoyed wearing the lotion more than the perfume because it was lighter and creamier.
After I ran out of it, I moved on to other fragrances because I felt like I needed a more sophisticated scent, I mean, I was kinda embarrassed that I was wearing a celebrity scent.
Last year I bought a bottle on a whim. It was inexpensive at Ross, and I knew I liked it, so why not?. I wore it a few times, but it wasn’t the same. I didn’t get the cozy feeling I would get before. It turned musky and old on me and it gave me a headache…So I put it away and forgot about it. Then I read on here and other reviews that said there was a reformulation sometime before 2012. So I got online and found an old bottle for sale. I checked batch code and found out it was from 2009…. That’s when I used to wear it. I sprayed it on and it was the same!!!! So good on my skin. It’s sweet, cozy, vanilla caramel with a nice dry down…it doesn’t turn musky on me. I love it. I have recently discovered Valentino Donna and decided that it is my signature scent. Somehow, they go together and they both work well on my skin. I am done searching for my favorite fragrance. I will always try new perfumes for fun, but these two are my gems. I’m now 39 and I don’t care what anyone thinks if I’m wearing a celebrity scent. I wear what I love and I am always receiving compliments on my perfume.
owenwrelo – :
Oh my, this stuff is addictive! What a bargain! I get mostly pear, amber and caramel, delicious indeed. Longevity is amazing, this is a must have for me. Similar to Juicy Couture Gold Couture but I find this one better, maybe because of the pear note?

Okay This fragrance is Magic .. Letterly!
I am in love with sweet gourmandy scents and the notes are damn amazing.
when I first sprayed it I had huge shock of disappointment .. it smelled as if u got sugar and burn it and smell the smoke of it.
(((( HOWEVERRR ))))
10 mins later it started to smell like candy heaven !!!!
I kept smelling it over n over to make sure that was the ugly scent I smelled 10 mins ago
but hell yeah it become fantasticly the typical scent that I ADORE!!
I am sooooo in love with it.
try it girls
it’s a must
and soo sexy when u go out for a date he will smell the sexness of it ..none will smell it’s first nore but u for 10 mins only .. it worth it for it’s cheap price.
MiticsGet – :
Your nose is overwhelmed by the caramel note
and reinterprets it as a burning rubber smell. If you take time to spray the smallest spray you can every week you will probably get used to it. It happened to me with Pink Sugar, I perceived only burnt rubber but now smell it without problems.
efsalex – :
I really wanted to like this, because of love gourmand scents! When I sprayed it on my skin it smells nothing like the notes!? I mostly smell a very unpleasant burnt plastic smell with a bit of sweetness. I wonder if I got a bad batch or if it has been reformulated? Or my skin chemistry just doesn’t suit this? I’m kinda disappointed
Morgan_fromAD – :
I was so intrigue with this perfume, After seeing it on tthe pharmacy shelves for months I decide to blind buy it! Wow this perfume smells expensive, a sweet fruity scent like wine poached pear. Reminds me of Britney Spear’s Midnight Fantasy but deeper. I made a mixtures of fragraces and adding Fancy gives it depth!
avarg – :
Ooooh, boy does this one has some red berries and apricot in it!! Tested this the other night before attending an outing and it was so incredibly sweet and strong with only ONE spray, I was worried people would think I’d spilt a caramel strawberry sundae everywhere before I left!
So for that, it’s a sweet lovers dream. Seriously, if you think Pink Sugar or Fantasy are toothache-inducing, you have no idea. I pulled a face like I had sucked on a lemon after I smelt it on my hand. However, I do see it’s cozy sweet appeal and but I also think this can be worn in summer as it’s just so fruity.
Longevity and sillage? Spot on, the best I’ve ever smelt, it gives Angel a run for its money.
nikartg – :
I don’t get any fruit at all from this. Just spicy, sweet vanilla caramel, and I am perfectly fine with that. A definite favorite.
If you like this, you should try:
~Prada Candy~
~Dior Addict~
~Pink Sugar~

Latest update: everything makes sense to me now! I had to retest Fancy for my peace of mind. I got twisted and turned wondering why on earth that I could not enjoy this fragrance from the first place, since it seemed to have many notes that I like very much. The notes are quite similar with Viva La Juicy which I love a lot.
I seriously tested it again and I am now satisfied and at peace with myself with a big smile 😀 I mistreated Fancy big time.
The cloying apricot was not there to bother my nose this time. I smelled red berry instead. Fancy opened up with very light berry + pear sweetness and some gentle nutty-ness and that was it. But after more than 5 minutes, the flowers awoke and bloomed. From that point on, the show just started. Vanilla and caramel joined in the last and held the fort, tied everything together in harmony with amber and wood. I was so pleased experiencing the transformation of all the notes. Sillage and longevity were amazingly impressive. It lasted all day on me. My husband came home from a long day at work, and teased me that I better saved him some caramel candies that I ate without him 🙂
Last time I tried Fancy, it was probably not a good day for me and my nose. I was probably tired and got nose-blinded after testing other fragrances too on the same day 🙂 I was thinking of deleting my previous review about Fancy. But then I thought it may be useful for somebody else who might experience the same way I did. I just wanna wrap it up that: please give Fancy time and space, your patience will definitely be rewarded.

Picked up a 1 oz spray of this today at Ross. $9.99.
Vanilla/caramel/cream/amber….
SHOCKINGLY….I like this !!! Surprise,surprise. Ok,yeah,it is a mainstream celebrity scent…whatever.
Again, I say wait for the drydown..!!!…that is when this one soars.
joh_ru – :
Very interesting. A slight step above the typical celebrity fragrance in my opinion; enough for me to forgive the weird chaotic bottle design. Just creamy vanillic berryliciousness.
If you like the original Chloe but find it too overpowering and aggressive to wear outside of the house, Fancy’s a terrific alternative. It’s a pared down starter Chloe for the younger set. Sensual without being burdensome.
The price can’t be beat. Highly recommended.
SB – :
I got this for $20 at Shoppers .. i was super happy and hoping for a caramel but everyone commented on how flowery this is – not even a hint of caramel and my skin has got nothing to do with this. on paper and from the bottle its just flowers.. disappointed. I WANTED CARAMEL :@
EDIT: its a bit weird. Yesterday I said I was disappointed but wore it to an evening out anyway to get a good feel of it. Was still underwhelmed – somewhat likeable but thats it. But this morning I seemed to crave it. There is an undercurrent of something addictively sweet – more than flowers for sure. now i believe when i read others saying it does have an addictive quality to it. The only other perfume that did this to me was Addict 2014. now i am just confused :$
PS. I have no idea from when my bottle is. the juice has a light golden/amber colour – definitely not pink. Oh I can’t get over how beautiful the bottle is
motogen – :
Opens with delicious sweet, thick caramel. It then develops into a light fruity, warm powdery, creamy deliciousness. The beautiful warm creamy notes stayed lingering even after I had tried washing it off, and last for hours on me! Fresh floral notes were very subtle. I just adore this one.
Definately my favourite during colder months.

Beware!!!!
Highly addictive gorgeous poison.
it makes MEN go CRAZY over you!
it makes them want to sniff you and not let go.
At the begining when i bought a bottle of it about 3 years ago….
I HATED IT!
i have no idea why but i think i was expecting something else maybe?
it felt “too rich” and old for me :-
i was expecting something fun and “fantasy” like and instead i gotten a rich deep scent and i think my brain automatically rejected this simply because it failed my expectations.
then years later i cleaned my huge perfume huge and decided to get rid of fragrances i dont wear….and this one went in the garbage.
just when i was about to throw it away, i decided to take it out and give it one last try since i remembered all the positive reviews it had.
THANK GOD I DID!!!!
if i would have thrown it out…. i would loose my no.1 fragarance of ALL TIME.
i would not have fell in love for ever and ever with this one.
this fragrance is like crack,
it is a drug and it will turn you into an addict…
i have a BIG collection of perfumes and some are so high end that one of them is priced at 700$ for 1 ounce!
trust me and belive me when i say this….
FANCY BY JESSICA SIMPSON IS **MY ALL TIME FAVORITE** FRAGRANCE.
this flacon is enchanting, it is magical, it will put a spell on you and you will become addicted to it.
this fragrance might only be 25$ for 3.4 oz but the smell of it is too good to be true.
it has such an elegant fine scent that might make people believe it costs in the hundreds.
and to top it all, it lasts and lasts and lasts.
when you tell people its a 25 dollar jessica simpson fragrance they will not believe you.
no other fragrance i have tried in my life smells this good! and its price is just laughable.
it smells so good and complex and elegant that i would GLADLY pay 5-10 times its real retail price.
this perfume is worth 250$ not 25$.
it starts with a fresh watery fruity-floral sweet gourmand with its pear, caramel, apricot, gardenia, and red berries (i dont smell the jasmin though), and then slowly it evolves to become a warm vanilla musk coffie cream scent.
gosh i love this forever and ever.
this is what heaven smells like.
i love this fragrance becuse it can suit a trashy bomb shell, a sweetheart southern bell, and a high fashion chic rich lady.
its that versatile and that good.
thank you jessica for bringing this to the world you devine lady.
and thank you Alexis Dadier for creating this piece of magic.
duxa1 – :
I LOVE sweet/gourmand fragrances (Juicy Couture line, Victoria’s Secret line,…) but I have to say NO to this one. It is overpowering and VERY cloying with the fruit notes (I remember Marc Jacobs Dot, which was a headache inducer for me back then).
I don’t know if because of the ratio of apricot + almond + pear + vanilla…combined altogether that makes the fruit smell so strong on me. I used to think that some of Paris Hilton’s perfumes are already cloying with apricot (like the Heiress), but compared to this Fancy, those are actually lighter 🙂 SORRY, I just can’t “fantasize” this EDP 🙂
However, the BODY MIST is something else, without the overpowering apricot. I like that one a lot with yummy caramel…
And NO, to my nose, Fancy smells NOTHING like Vera Wang Night Princess! Besides, the notes from both of them are SO different from each other!
maksim11 – :
Ok,so what is it with the sickening synthetic cotton candy note in a lot of celebrity perfumes.*sigh* just ew. This starts off as a burnt caramel cotton candy of the synthetic variation. Then it’s like I magically get transported to a vanilla cupcake bakery, which is my only favorite part of this perfume, before it eventually dries down into a much too smoky mess. Which would be ok if I didn’t keep thinking that I smelled slightly of a smoker. For me, this was very surprising. The scent definitely does not go with the bottle. When I see the bottle, I think of a decadent caramel gourmand with a nice rounded cupcake presence or dulce de leche that melts into a sensual cream or vanilla. So this was a bit disappointing to me, with the middle being the only good part. Staying power was pretty moderate with soft sillage.
Diselist – :
This perfume was love at first sniff for me, and I love it more than many of my pricier fragrances. Fancy loves me back too, because it’s my most complimented fragrance to date…and I own/owned plenty. They say Hypnotic Poison is the sexiest vanilla out there, a ‘man trap’…not so for me (I love HP, but I’ve never gotten compliments wearing it). This is the one that reels them in…not just men, but women and children too. I haven’t met a single person who dislikes it. It wears very well on my skin. I’ve been told I smell like Cocoa Pebbles when I wore this, another person told me that it smells very snuggly, calming and alluring all at once, it makes them want to get close…I’ve also gotten ‘Oh! you smell like a warm vanilla muffin’…it’s the only scent that’s gotten me followed around by strangers (creepy, yes, lol)…I’ve also had ‘perfume snobs’ who only wear brands like Creed tell me I smell delicious. I adore this stuff! I always have a spare bottle around. It’s my go-to for fall/winter, I alternate it with my signature, Lolita Lempicka, during the cooler months. I also enjoy Fancy Love (in spring). Amazing sillage and longevity. I got my first bottle of Fancy in winter of 2011-2012, and have never been without it since.
portak – :
My favourite celebrity scent for sure. And a firm favourite amongst some of my designer ones also. It’s creamy, warm buttery vanilla caramel and the slight sweet freshness of fruit. Made well and not childish. Also super affordable which is a plus. Always get compliments on this one. Lingers on me for hours also.
elen-orlova – :
I really like this perfume. Though I bought it for only AUD25, it smells good and lasts a long time. It doesn’t have the synthetic vanilla overdose like Fantasy or Meow.
It’s good for work, non offensive and cheerful.
sagor – :
The phenomenon you are describing (the smell of burning) is similar to anosmia and is a kind of nose fatigue brought by too much vanilla/caramel in this case. I felt the same in Pink Sugar and in a Brazilian perfume Revelar Noite. In time your nose may get used to the vanilla/ caramel note and feel the apricot/caramel aroma of Fancy. I suspect the play-doh smell also relates to the nose fatigue.
Vladislavik87 – :
After all the raving review I had to try this out. Maybe it’s the reformulation (I got a new bottle) but I absolutely hate the Play Doh or weird plastic type of smell. I am not sure what’s causing it to smell like this but it makes me feel sick (I’m not being extra, it actually made me sick to my stomach). I thought that maybe it was my chemistry so I used it in a diffuser and I could still smell the sickening note in the air. Not for me! I just tried Ari by Ariana Grande & I really like it. It’s what I thought “Fancy” was going to smell like.

Scrumptious scent! I really like this one as it’s a fun gourmand that’s so creamy and lovely. Unfortunately, I cannot wear this as it caused me a great big headache after about 2 hours of wear…too bad as I really do love the smell!

Wonderful. Deep, warm vanilla paired with sparkly peach and a hint of white flowers. Very well-balanced and complex. Heart-warming during cold months and playfully musky in summer, I love it so much.

This is very sexy, lovely!I love it.
First i can smell juicy fruits and some woody notes and after that it calms down to a vanilla, caramel and maybe almonds, mostly vanilla. In a cold weather, with snow around is wonderful.
The bottle is cheaply made.

MmmmMm..nice. Smells like a few other caramels in my collection. Hard candy, True Religion LHD, and a little of prada candy. Definitely the mature sweet musk slightly powdery caramel’. So glad this is tolerable.

Really want to get this but it is expensive here in Spain. I read that it is like 10$ in US and UK… im so jealous I really want to smell this yumminess
Caseexhipse – :
I don’t really smell the caramel like I do in Dark Angel by VictoriasSecret. This actually reminds me of a sweeter and less musky version of Betsey Johnson. Fancy reminds smells similar to what you would get if you mixed Dark Angel and Betsey Johnson. I think it is the Gardenia that makes this one smell so sweet.
Mr.black – :
Just got mines in the mail today! Smells so nice and sweet. Not overpoweringly sweet but just perfect . I was disappointed with her signature perfum and she just made up with this one . Definitely cheap but worth it
igor_0284 – :
Every gourmand lover needs Fancy in their arsenal! Yes it is a celebrity fragrance and a cheapie but the quality is above and beyond its price. Fancy is remarkably similar to Meow by Katy Perry but with an added buttery caramel note similar to Bonbon by V&F. The longevity and projection is stunning as well, this scent will stick with you all day. Even the bottle seems too good for the price; it’s heavy and the rose gold cap and designs are gorgeous.
Bolun – :
This is one of the best perfumes i have ever experienced, and I’ve gone through a lot. Rich, warm, sweet, enveloping. Smells expensive and beautiful with a lovely scent trail. If this ever gets discontinued ill literally cry for months
stacan4ic – :
One of my old school favs. It’s a warm, fruity, caramel scent with a touch of powder. It’s sweet done right. It’s not so overly sweet that it gets sharp and start giving you diabetes. Men love this perfume on me. AND IT LAST SO LONG. It’s not an overly strong perfume, but I can spray it on me the day before, take a shower the next day and still smell it on me. I tried many different perfumes over the year, but I still go back to it every other year. I consider it a modern classic.
I give it a 9/10
The only reason why it’s not a 10/10 is that it’s so popular it’s almost generic. I want to make it my signature scent so bad, but I don’t want to smell like everybody and their mama. I hate the idea of people knowing the fragrance I am wearing from just smelling me. That’s why I love mixing this with other fragrances. Typically fresh fragrances.
malaya999 – :
Wow I remember hating this perfume because when I smelled it in the past, it was kind of heavy on the caramel and had a baby powder smell behind the sweetness which turned me off. But today I went to my local perfumania to treat myself to a new perfume and the lady gave me this one to smell & I was shocked at how much I like this now! It still has the caramel but the powdery scent is more like cotton candy and not so much like baby powder to me and its a little lighter than I remembered which is nice. I bought a 3.4 oz bottle today for only $25 and I don’t regret my decision!
Erannindy – :
For anyone who loves the vintage version, I have come up with a solution that works for me. (I own both versions) The vintage has a much more complex and forward vanilla, hence the darker liquid. I bought an atomizer and mixed the current version with pure vanilla essential oil. (good prices on ebay) Give it a shake, spray and wow! It lasts longer than the vintage but it’s very similar. Compliments from so many people and lasts about 5 to 6 hours!
Huba Buba – :
This is a very fruity sweet fragrance. It isn’t like Pink Sugar as it has fruity notes. It is closer to Fantasy with the citrusy notes (original) and a sweeter Prada Candy. The juicy notes are what differs this from smelling like cotton candy though. Actually I think Taj Sunset is a good benchmark of comparison as this leans more towards that than Pink Sugar. Hopefully that helps as this has been reviewed so many times as it’s so popular, that that is what I think is worth considering if you are blind buying this. I would say that if you like your fragrances sweet this is a classic to have.
Mirshan – :
Def a Gourmand bomb. The Vanilla Caramel one most are describing. I get very little fruit, peach, or whatever. It’s too *Caramelly* to be in the class of cotton candy. I actually get a slight whiff of tobacco once in a while, but then it’s gone, which is good, I don’t like tobacco in anything. If I spray this on at 9PM, It is still there the next morning, 12 hrs later. I wasn’t even trying to smell it, I Just DID. That’s just one spray too. On clothes, which is where I usually spray, b/c my wrists eat any perfume within 30 minutes. Very good. Very sweet & if you aren’t into caramel, back off. I will say it’s caramel well done though.
PashTet20 – :
Smells Exactly Like The Notes Listed and How you’d expect it to smell. Exactly Like Everyone on Fragrantica Describes it.
It’s ok. It doesn’t smell expensive, but it smells good. In a pastry sort of way. I can see wearing this in the fall or winter when in a sweet cookie kind of mood. I couldn’t ever see this being an everyday or signature scent. It’s a cute scent.
vasya2277 – :
Caramel BOMB, and while I love sweet scents caramel and I have a love/hate relationship with it mostly making me feel sticky & unwashed (??) somehow. That said, this has a note in it that makes it unique, maybe it’s the pear and almond? Although, each perfume that has almond in it has me questioning what almond really smells like it, or rather each perfume has a different idea what almond smells like. Anyway, if the caramel was toned down and the pear amped up I think I would really like this, also it is one of my very good friend’s favorite perfumes so I do have a soft spot for it because of that reason.

I liked it first: it was strong and didn’t fade away. Sweet and kind of fine stuff, although felt it also to be a scent for “teenagers from my daughter’s passed youth”.
Fancy glows/radiates/breathes out STRONGLY something – musky kind of syrupy-“patchouli” breathe.
Too unisex. Manlyness, strength, and “surypy glow” irritated me too much.
Not totally manly – this heavy sweet perfume can feel also as feminine rich luxury and, fresh. But, manly to me. Burberry Brit -resemblance. And –>
Fancy is affordable time-travel holiday to a disco in Ibiza/ Bahamas, transfers you in time to year 1990 and you 19 years old. Neon-pink lace.

This stuff is nice. I almost passed over it while digging for simple almond heavy fragrances because the pear note made me nervous. So glad the price made me give it a try! The pear, to me, is not notable. There’s a vague freshness, but it doesn’t read as fruity. Mostly, this is just sweetness and powdery almond. It has a little bit of that baby wipes vibe to it which I almost always enjoy. I put a bit of this on my husband too. It smells great on him. The only negative I could come up with is the name being a bit of a misnomer. Super casual scent.
