This is not listed as a note, but this smells like oakmoss single note to me. For those unfamiliar with oakmoss, its earthy, mossy, and evergreen-like, probably with more emphasis on the evergreen quality. It has a tendency to dominate every blend it is in.
Although it is nice, I was looking for more depth. Fortunately Summer Dandelion steps up where I was hoping this, Blue Ridge Skyline, Desiderata, Moss Maiden, or others would go for that perfect green, outdoor summery scent, so I will probably stick with that. =]

I am not a fan of this one. It is a bit too sharp and earthy for me. It doesn’t remind me of anything I can put my finger on, but not one I would order more of either!

I got Pine Bayberry Christmas air freshener or candle. Slightly waxy pine, hint of spices, suggestion of peppermint to give it that cool ‘snow’ feeling. It’s certainly nice but it’s not a perfume. I definitely feel like I’m wearing an air freshener for most of it. Full dry down it has very nice balsam and resins, much more like it sounds in the description, but it still smacks of Christmas candle overall. There are Alkemia fragrances I can’t live without, but this isn’t one of them

After a long full day in the hot sun, tilled earth, golden grains, and dark feral herbs and even a hint of wild mint emit their scent into the cooling air of dusk. An hour into the wearing, the waft is quite amazing… light pale florals emerge, but go close to the skin and it’s all herbal with a strong presence of hawthorn. Two+ hours later, close to the skin – a warm spice like clove, carnation, or bay emerges and really steps up and away from the skin. This onslaught goes on for another fragrant hour+.
