Such a delicious chocolate perfume! Not tooo sweet – just right. A perfect blend of flowers, fruits, yummy caramel and chocolate, and a fresh, crisp bitter twist of the delightful strawberry leaf. It’s wonderful. Truly gorgeous.

Anyone know where to purchase this? I’m located in the UK but usually buy perfumes online sometimes from around the world. I’m loving the notes and bottle of Fairytales and am a huge fairy lover ^_^ Please message me. Thank you <3

For ladies that like chocolate perfume, this is a must. It is not completely gourmand. It has many other notes, however the chocolate note is there and it is noticable. This is a soft, warm fragrance that is more complex than a lot of the gourmands out there. Don’t get me wrong, I love my gourmands. But, it is nice to have a variation that is such a wonderful, cozy fragrance.

The thought of a fragrance smelling of raspberries and strawberry leaf had me a little concerned at first. I was rather expecting Fairytales to smell like some juvenile Escada release with a sharp burst of sugary fruits. I am pleased to say that this fragrance, although a gourmand, is really delicious and quite unique.
Fairytales reminds me of choc-raspberry bullets. It has a very smooth and sugary gourmand quality, that makes you lick your lips in anticipation. The opening is a lovely and fresh burst of raspberry, grapefruit and strawberry leaf which is both sweet and delicate on the skin. This blend is thankfully not too fruity nor rich.
The heart introduces the chocolate (cacao) accord, along with buttery caramel and powdery florals. Although very feminine on the skin, Fairytales is not just a fragrance for young girls. Older women could easily enjoy wearing this perfume too.
The sugary sweetness dissipates towards the drydown, and what’s left is a warm, milky hot chocolate and powdered vanilla. I am pleased to say that the longevity is quite impressive, lasting a good five hours.
As much as I hate to admit it, I thought that Lulu Guinness was a cheap brand that produced mediocre fragrances. I am glad that Fairytales has proved me wrong. I’ve only worn this fragrance for one day, yet during that time I’ve concluded that this is one of the nicest gourmands you can find. I highly recommend.

A super intense powder chocolate smell. It reminds of L de lolita turned up by ten notches, which is not necesarily a good thing for me. I just love the bottle, the juice is very childish and foody, but for the price, the bottle makes as a lovely decoration piece 🙂

wow . this one is realy lovely. sweet but not to sweet . the cacao in the end makes it a bit spicy in away . most delicios .
starts off quite citrusy whit the grapefruit. and in comes the berrys . it is such a nice combination, the rassberry in this does it very fresh . and the flower melts in whit the Cacao and caramel . a slightly spicy touch to it , sweet and spicy like nothing i have tryed before . this is enchantingly beautiful.

I’m a big fan of Lulu’s Cast a Spell, and this was a thrifty online find, so I decided to order. It’s not a not a super unique scent, nor is it something I would consider floral fruity groumand, although I do get a lot of black currant from it. For me the dry down does seem similar to that of some Oriental Vanilla scents (think TM Angel, or Bond No. 9 Coney Island). Staying power is good. It’s very wearable and I love the drydown. I’m really enjoying it so far.

This is one of THE most deceptive description I’ve ever read of a perfume. My olfactory tastes range from fruity floral to fruity/floral gourmand. That’s why I was so excited about this perfume when I ordered. Boy is this is the last time I order any perfume without testing first! The top (supposedly) fruity notes are drowned in a heavy cream/caramel/spicy and seriously heavy handed base notes. definitely NOT a perfume for summer and NOT for people who are looking for a fruity/floral perfume. Just a heavy dose of gourmand without ANY sophistication. Beware and don’t order without testing.
Edit 1/14/11: I dug it out of my closet again to see if this was wearable in winter time. The answer is a big YES. The super sweetness is much more tolerable in cold weather. I still think the cloying caramel in this should have been tempered a little more. But… all in all… Thank God this wasn’t a total waste.
