This fragrance has been discontinued, so don’t bother trying to find it in store. The salesperson is going to recommend Blenheim Boquet, Quercus, or Bayolea, but none of them is an alternative. However, you can still find this available online at (somewhat) reasonable prices.
This fragrance pretty much does what is says on the bottle. This is closest to the real scent of limes that I have found. It’s got fresh, clean lime notes at the open, with just a hint of neroli. Base notes? Fuhgeddaboudit!
As you can probably guess, longevity on this is non existent. You’d be lucky to get 30 minutes out of it, with weak sillage. But if you love citrus, this is a must-have, even if you’re the only one that will be able to smell it…

I love it! But it smells precisely like cleaning fluids. I blame the cleaning fluids, for ruining such a wonderful smell with a strong association to toxic solvents. Alas, I cannot shake that association.

I adore this, smells exactly of fresh limes. However, as others have said, the longevity is terrible. I was delighted when first wearing it, but just ended up very disappointed. 🙁

I am a fan of Penhaligon’s generally, especially Juniper Sling, but this one is a huge disappointment. It honestly smells like lemon and lime toilet detergent. Scent aside, I decided to do a longevity test. Two sprays on my left wrist. It projects about 5 feet for the first 15 mins. After just 30 mins it becomes a skin scent and after precisely 1hr and 12 mins it was gone altogether. No trace at all. Now i’m sorry, but the whole point of a fragrance is to smell good. If the scent doesn’t even last 90 mins, it ceases to have any point in existing at all. When and why would you bother wearing it? This is the first fragrance I’ve ever come across that I think should actually be discontinued. A scandalous waste of £110.

A kind of scent that sounded bitterish on me. And with a hint of tobacco. I enjoyed it.

THE most refreshing smell esp when living in tropical climate like I do. Post a workout shower, it completely re-invigorates. I bought a batch of these as Penhaligon frags are not available in India and every penny was well spent !

Bitter citrus, smelling a lot like real lime oil, but with a harsh edge that reminds me of drain cleaner. It mellows as it dries down, to a simple lemon and lime scent, but it is neither complex or particularly pretty. Not a winner for me.

Not very long lasting, but if you love the fresh real smell of limes you should like this. I am not a fan of citrus.

A fine example of truth in advertising, Penhaligon EXTRACT OF LIMES features, you guessed it: extract of limes! This bright citrus composition is very fresh and natural and perfect for the summertime. There is a touch of neroli here, but not much, and I find that the lime–both juice and rind–is much stronger than the lemon.
The longevity is typical for this sort of composition, which is suitable for anyone who likes citrus scents. I recommend this high-quality composition for hot weather as a cologne or splash.
