Euphoria Men- Intense is a very good dark masculine sexy scent.
The opening is a lot of watermelon, but the dry down (after the first 20 mins) is where this shines.
The dry down transforms the scent into a dark, chocolate-covered strawberry scent. Ladies love this! It is sweet but very masculine because of the dark warm scent that accompanies the sweetness.
Everyone’s skin chemistry is different. On me the longevity is good as is the projection. On others it may be great, while others only may get decent longevity and projection.
The ideal time to wear is fall/winter. The ideal occasions are a night out/casual times. But if your outfit and mood need it, this can be worn at any occasion/time.
    OVERALL: 8.5/10

Well, I have a boyfriend who wears this and it kinda floored me. The spice and sweetness mixed with his dark skin almost sent me over the edge. All I want to do is put my nose in his neck and take deep breaths so the scent gets in my memory and stays there. Yes there are better mens scents out there but sometimes they just mix perfectly with someones skin and its amazeballs. This one has the ability to do just that.

Smells like Halston Man Amber with lots of sweetness added. The myrrh and Amber stand out, with hardly any of that beautiful ginger from the original. I do not like it. I was hoping for a more powerful version of the original, which I love, but is way too weak. Sadly, this one isn’t for me.
That being said, this isn’t a bad fragrance! I’m actually surprised it’s not more popular among the snobby part of the community. It has a nicheness about it.

This isn’t a review since I’ve only worn this twice, but I smell a distinct similarity to Polo Black, with that melon / mango vibe. Anyone else?
If you’re on the fence about blind buying it, I would say have a sniff of Polo black and see how you feel about it. But personally, I wouldn’t say that Euphoria Intense is a dark fragrance – more of a sweet and fruity one. And as far as romantic scents go, there are better options out there. Just an opinion.

I’m probably on my own, but upon initial spray I get melon, a mixture of watermelon and rockmelon. Weird I know, but hey I smell what I smell.
Upon dry down it becomes a warm spicy amber scent, with a sweetness that’s not too pronounced, unless you over spray. I think the ginger adds balance to prevent it from being cloying.
    I love the bottle design!
Nice scent and incredibly cheap. Not my style, so I wouldn’t repeat buy, but I’ll definitely use up the bottle.

Dark, super sweet opening, can get a bit cloying.
Dry down is better a little pleasant.
Not worth the money. far better options out there.

@seemon you are absolutely right this fragrance is too sweet and smell like sharp strawberry, fruity stuff just too heavy on my nose, try before buy.

This is a nice scent, its got one of the best openings I have in my collection, this probably makes it popular with people when sprayed on the skin/tester in store.
Rich spicy opening with a fruit underlay, its dark, peppery & dense and I can clearly detect chocolate. Reminds me of a more refined Angel Pure Havane, which I love.
Typically with every CK scent I have tried or owned, the performance is lousy! It seems CK are getting something fudamentally wrong with all their scents in this regard. I haven’t come across one (admittedly I haven’t tried all of them) which is mildly detectable later in the day either on the skin or clothing. If memory serves the original Euphoria performed better than this one? I last own the original when it was released.
I can’t understand why a brand like Chanel for example, athough not cheap, (I tend to think of Chanel as a gold standard, like a Longines or Omega watch) can produce frags that consistently perform well, Chanel only have a reasonably small line up of popular mens’ high street frags and everyone one of them performs exceptionally, so reformulation agruments just don’t hold up. I just wish CK could follow this example with their more mature frags such as some of the Euphoria line, I wouldn’t mind paying more if they performed well.
Love the bottle especially in a 100ml, chunky, pale bronze metal rimmed cognac coloured glass, heavy and substantial in the hand. Still one of the best bottles on the market.
CK obviously have some great perfumers under their employ. Perhaps CK are happy making most of their money from the abundance of CK citrus scented water frags so popular amongst young people; CK One & Be and their countless variations.
Apart from CK Euphoria Liquid Gold, which I still want to try and will probably never get hold of now, this may be one of the last CK frags I try again.
Sublime scent ruined by zero performance….what a shame!!

Spicy, sweet, and comforting. This is my go to winter scent that pairs well with many warm scents. I get a nice spice upfront and a mild sweetness on the back end. It’s warm but inviting, I love it, my wife loves it, so I’m happy.

I can’t remember why I bought this. It doesn’t smell bad, I just find it… uninteresting.
Sweet, somewhat spicy… nah, I’m not even gonna review it. I just hope that whatever reason I bought it for, comes back to me.

  14. :

I like it. I could easily wear it but there are better options. Slightly sweet but well balanced. It’s the type of scent which smells nice from a distance but not from close. I get a light nauseating feeling especially at the opening same feeling as in Invictus. Maybe a common chemical component. Moderate performance, nice for fall and spring, day and night. There is no oud here.

  15. :

    4 out of 5

I tried this yesterday and it was nothing like what I was expecting; notes of melon / cucumber / a bit spicy on the dry-down.. not what I would normally wear.
I found this quite weird when those note are not listed, however, projection and sillage was fine at first (the people I was out with all commented about it). After a while it faded away becoming more woody/soapy/generic.

I’ve always had the original one in my collection but rarelly put on because longetivity is a joke.
Recently I got this one and what gem, cheap as chips and appatently they resolved the longevity issue.
    Great cologne for its price

  17. :

woody musk – simple and somewhat refined but not something I would add to my collection when I already have Mont Blanc Emblem (which I think does a sweet oudy generic scent much better and sharper), and Body Shop Arber whcih I find similar but slightly fresher and spicier.
It’s nice after the first few minutes, but quite linear and uneventful.
Underwhelming and reminds me of another I found boring, Guess Seductive Homme (purple). Woody Skittles are just not for me :(.

I wanted to like this one so bad! I bought this as a gift for my BF after smelling it in store. At the time I thought it reminded me of sushi and I was into it. The ginger notes were strong and it felt very unique. CK is one of my go-to brands and I enjoy their particular style of American Minimalism. But at home, Euphoria Men Intense smells kind of generic. I don’t know what happened!
On me, it smells sweet and spicy. Almost like a spiced pear. I was surprised there are no fruit notes listed, as there is a cool and cucumbery element that reminds me of apple or a watery, fresh fruit. I think the reason it seems so run-of-the-mill is the notes list isn’t out of the ordinary. Many of the components are found in other popular men’s fragrances, and the way they combine is sort of standard. That doesn’t mean Euphoria Men Intense is poorly made, as it’s actually pleasant and not as obtrusive as men’s fragrances usually are. It feels modern and cool, and very on-brand for CK. But there is something missing here from making it truly great.
The bottle design is minimalist and not trying to be a car part or anything silly that companies dream up when they try to make it appealing to men (like a gaudy gold bar, for instance). But, my arch nemesis Labdanum is present in this fragrance, and as a result, it isn’t something I want to wear. Which is unfortunate, as my BF doesn’t wear it either. A lesson in buying fragrances for other people!
Even if I can’t seem to force myself to enjoy this scent, it is not without its use. This is a perfect cologne for men who want something to wear to the office or date night. It could easily be a staple or signature and is no doubt appealing to a wide variety of people. It’s not trying to be overtly sexy or masculine. It’s just there, a little extra piece to complete the puzzle.

This was another gift I received. I hadn’t had much experience with this one until recently and I must say, I do like it. Upon first application I find it’s a strong woody/fruity combination. I think what gives it this fruity characteristic is the amber and ginger combination. At the price point, this is a great fragrance. Performance is ok. I got this in a gift set with the aftershave. You can forget about the longevity on the aftershave. It’s like 30 minutes.
Actually, I just got a compliment on this as I’m writing this. A female co-worker just walked into my office and said, “It smells so good in here!”. The scent and the price are great, the performance is average. Nothing but good things to say about this stuff.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

I can see how people could like this and at first sniff this seemed promising but sadly it just didn’t impress me or even persuade me to use this a dumb reach.
It starts out kind of fresh, slightly spicy and sweet and isn’t great but kind of nice but once it dries down it kind of reminds me rotten fruit with spices. Again, it’s not horrible but it’s certainly not great and my girlfriend did NOT like this. ( but to be fair she hates most of my frags and is into fresher scents)
Performance was decent…. it projects really well for 30 minutes (with 3 sprays) but quickly dies down to pretty much a skin scent. It does however last 6-10 hours so this might work as a good work scent if it works with your skin chemistry.
Overall rating— 6 out of 10 ! An ok scent with decent performance and this is super cheap now days so that’s also a redeeming factor.

CK’s Euphoria Intense is an underrated gem.
CKEI smells absolutely brilliant: I get Amber, Ginger, Patchouli, and it smells really smooth. Mostly Amber.
Performance is an issue and it lasts about 6 hours for me with so-so projection.
With that said, you will definitely get compliments in the first few hours. Everybody likes the smell of this one.
Great fragrance and would be perfect but for performance.
    9 of 10.

It’s funny how Calvin Klein has a bad reputation about their perfumes. The thing is they make a lot of bad and regular perfumes but then they make some jewels like Euphoria intense, Euphoria gold, Obsession, One,Shock, etc. Euphoria intense is sweet, dark and a compliment magnet, woman love it, is cheap on price, you can’t ask for more.

Great smell. Not at all intense though. Its a fall/winter scent with summer time performance thats the sad part but for the price of under $30 I can afford to reapply. 7.5/10

I smell lots of strawberries even though strawberry is not on the scent pyramid. I also found it a little balsamic and I wasn’t sure if I liked it initially. However, over time, I find myself reaching for it more than a lot of my other fragrances. Maybe I want a blast of strawberry smell in the morning to wake me up or to energize me, I don’t know but I have grown to really like it now. There is just something inviting and seductive about this fragrance.
    Longevity is better than expected.
One year after I wrote the above review, Euphoria Intense has really grown on me. As we become better acquainted, I’m discovering more depth and nuances in this beautiful fragrance.

Euphoria Intense has one of the sweetest smell and notes.
I love it, and I think anyone would love Euphoria Intense.
But what makes me sad is its longevity.
If Euphoria Intense lasts for more than 2 hours I will love it more.

A mysterious scent.. You can easily fall in love with it. It lasts long, sensual and fascinating.
I tried it for the first time while on a road trip during a chilly evening.

This one gives a lipstick, over ripe fruit vibe for me. I love the original euphoria but the intense version is just a little too sweet. The original has better longevity on me.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Calvin Klein Euphoria Men Intense is actually one of the only fresh spicy blind buys of late that I intend on keeping. Intense, Gold, and Essence each seem to be reasonably popular and now reasonably-priced, so this is the first one I got my hands on.
The fresh spicy characterization is accurate—Euphoria Men Intense’s spiciness can probably be most attributed to pepper but I don’t get much pepper (or much overwhelming spiciness) at all from this, as it’s mostly subdued next to a woody/sweet mix that seemingly involves some sandalwood or cedar with a synthetic fruit (perhaps cherry) vibe. In that respect, it ends up seemingly like a distant relative to CK One Shock, but not nearly as well-blended.
Projection and longevity are nothing special, but at its price ($32 for 100ml on FragranceNet), it’s hard to complain.

I tried this the other day, it smelled good actually. Not my type of scent, to me it is somewhat feminine. It smells expensive. But for an intense version this is very faint to my nose. It reminds me of Paco Rabanne Invictus, the same sweetness. Mostly in the beginning, then they go their both ways. Invictus gets airy and summery, this one gets autumny and sweeter.

I forgot this old friend of mine.I bought this long time ago when it was first came in the market but after a short period of time i have broken one of it by mistake.I remember euphoria was extremely loud and on my skin could last for more than 8 hours. The reviewers have mentioned that Euphoria Intense doesn’t hold long!Maybe the producer has changed the composition and toned down the strenght but i’m not sure about it, cause i have never tried the new version.I’m eager to try this one more time.
Euphoria intense catches for sure the attention and provokes compliments.I have also received many compliments from both women and men.Euphoria is extremely sweet, fresh due to the ginger note and above all resinous and dark because of Oud and amber. The Oud note is artistically blended in this composition and projects in a different way ,in comparison with this one of M7 from YSL, take for instance. From my point of view EI is completely underrated and underestimated because it couldn’t beat in Strenght others of this Oud-Genre like M7,Oud by killian ,Tom Ford’s Oud Wood etc….Euphoria stays somewhere between the typical Oud compositions and the modern.
All in all another success story from the fashion design house of Calvin Klein.Very good job!

After long reflection, I decided to renew my perfume Euphoria with Euphoria Intense. They expected the tribute justified. I needed something fresh and different, because I like the brand Calvin Klein. My disappointment intens to start by saying that my girlfriend does not like it. In fact, very few women like this fragrance. In men is different – more like it. The initial feeling of freshness is mixed with soft touches, but after about 1 hour of my skin remains only the smell of smoke. I will try with Euphoria Gold Fluid. Although Euphoria is the same series Euphoria is totally different from Euphoria Intense.
    Longevity – moderate
    Sillage – moderate

How is Strawberry not listed among the notes? My nose smells mostly strawberries.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Anyone who says this has poor longevity probably isn’t detecting some of the aroma chemicals in it. One spray to the chest lasted at least 17 hours for me! I like this one but in some ways it’s “anti-niche,” meaning that the notes are blended tightly and there isn’t a lot of depth. However, there is just enough depth to the drydown and the smell itself is really good, though if someone were to say it’s a bit “synthetic” I wouldn’t argue the point. For a designer scent that is selling now for around $35 per 100 ml new, what’s not to like? The original was too fruity for me, and was also too “synthetic” to my nose, but this one may be in my rotation for a long time to come. Note that the sillage seems to come in wafts, and it may be best not to try and make it stronger by spraying more, because then I’d guess it would be too “synthetic.”

well what a pleasant surprise this blind buy was…i wasnt expecting much from CK but the price was right.
this is so sexy with amber oud pepper and ginger notes foremost in my opinion making for a great smell.quite strong for a CK fragrance glad i bought it

    5 out of 5

This scent was a compliment for me and I kind of like this better than the original. However, although this is the intense version it’s longevity is a lot similar than the original. Projection is average. I go 3-4 sprays with this and the opening is spicy I get a lot of amber and myrrh as the fragrance develops.
Longevity is just like the original on my skin it lasts 4 to 6 hours and on the 5th and 6th hour you’d only get it a whiff of it if you’re in my personal space.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

This smells good but the projection is very very poor…. it projects for the first 30 minutes and becomes a skin scentafterwards. ..overall I give it 5/10

  42. :

It’s too sweet! Like concentrated strawberry with sugar. Rochas Man without coffee note. Where the hell is amber? Everything is wrong, like a mess of twoo gourmands and two generic mall frags. Bad sillage and longevety. Yuck.

Euphoria Intense is an interesting scent that I’m glad I added to my collection. There was a bit of back and forth between whether or not I wanted this fragrance. I told myself if I found it cheap enough, I would get it. I found it at TJMaxx for $29 for a 3.7oz bottle.
First Impressions: My first impression is that it was overwhelmingly spicy. When I first sprayed this from a tester onto a paper strip I literally said “yuck” aloud. As I continued sampling other scents, I went back to the paper strip and actually liked what I smelled. Before I left, I sprayed a shot on each wrist.
I was immediately met with that overwhelming spicy scent. Once again, I was back to “yuck.” After about 30 minutes is when the true beauty of Euphoria Intense begins to shine.
Mid/late notes: After the extreme spicy smell dissipates, I am left with a great smell on my skin. Rather than trying to dissect the pyramid of notes, I can best describe it as a dark chocolate cherry smell with a peppery kick. After an hour or two I start to get a bit of an unexpected clean/fresh scent that really evens things out.
Spray Count: Before I jump into my projection/longevity ratings, I think it is only fair to mention the spray count. I go pretty heavy with this one. I usually to 6-8 body sprays and possibly a few on my clothes depending on what I’m wearing and how long I will be out and about.
Projection: I feel like Euphoria Intense projects fairly well. There are times when I feel like the smell has dissipated, only to be smacked in the nose with a reminder that it is still very much alive. I do feel that the projection goes down quite a bit after a while. After about 5 hours, it becomes a skin scent that can only be detected within my personal/intimate space. However, it is very much still there! Also keep in mind that my olfactory sensory neurons seem to adapt faster than the average nose. I would give the projection a well above average rating of 8/10.
Longevity: Euphoria Intense seems to last a long time on my skin. I can come home from a 12 hour day and still faintly detect it on my wrist and forearm. It’s one of the few fragrances that I can detect making transitions throughout the day. I am actually wearing it right now and I can smell a difference on me from just a couple hours ago when I arrived in the office. Overall, I give longevity an 8/10.
Compliments: Unfortunately, this is where this cologne sort of falters. I haven’t really gotten a ton of compliments with Euphoria Intense. As a matter of fact, my wife hates it. She always makes a face when I wear it. To be fair, she only smells it when I first spray it and I’m already on the road when it start transitioning to my favorite notes. I shall also note that my wife is a big fan of the fresh/clean/aquatic scents, so there is some bias. I do get compliments from time-to-time, but not as much as other, and not as much as I expect.
I will mention that I let a friend borrow this for a date. He said that his date loved it and he also got a couple compliments from strangers. I know he is a heavy sprayer (this is coming from someone that sprays this scent about 8 times) so that may have something to do with it.
On the compliment factor I give Euphoria Intense a 6/10
Usage: This immediately jumps out as a perfect fall and winter fragrance. I would also use this on a dinner date (if only my wife liked it as much as I do). Since my wife isn’t a huge fan, I usually stick to wearing this around the office. It seems to be a perfect fit.
Overall: I think Euphoria Intense is a great surprise from Calvin Klein. It is definitely one of my favorites from them. Just remember to try and get passed the initial aggressiveness of this fragrance if it comes across as a “spicy mess.” I am glad that I gave it a second chance. I’m even happier that I found it at a discount. I’m not sure if I would pay full retail price for this at a department store. However, I am proud to have this as part of my collection. My overall score is a 7.5/10

Just received my first bottle of Euphoria Intense this morning !
    first impression :
Scent : 9/10 , lovely scent by CK, for me.. it’s the best fragrance from CK’s house till now. nice amber opening with slight note of gingery vibe there (in a positive way)
Mature yet sweet but not to sweet at the same time. superb !
Longevity : 8/10 , still easily can smell the notes on my skin (6hours ++)
Silage : 9/10 , soft yet so sophisticated. I mean, this might offend other people if you use it during funeral event / any other event that requires “calm” surrounding. so use it wisely 😀
    overall : 8.6 ! that’s an A in college.
from today onward, totally a “must there” in my collection.
if i’m running out a bottle, i’ll definitely going to purchase another bottle !
    Another Great perfumes !

As many of you may know, I do average joe type reviews with no commentary on notes. So here it is, spray_and_pray’s review of Euphoria Intense:
So I bought this at TJ Maxx tonight in a gift set that included a 3.4oz bottle of juice and a bottle of after shave. I paid $40 something for the kit. A higher price range than usual for a blind buy, but I like living on the edge sometimes. I sprayed two sprays and this juice definitely reminds me of Curves Appeal Pour Homme. I think Euphoria is more refined.
It also has more bang for your buck compared to Curves Appeal. The first two sprays project of the skin pretty decently. I’d say more than a foot of projection. Euphoria Intense projects good give or take 2 hours, then it wears down to about 4-6 inch projection. After 3 hours, it becomes a subtle skin scent. The scent is so amazing though, I am not upset with two good hours of projection honestly. Call me crazy, but this is one of the only juices I would deal with re-applying to maintain this scent. It is goddamn good. At the same time, I would not pay full retail. If you can find a deal on this for $45 or less, then grab it up.
    Scent: 5/5
    Performance: 2/5
Cost: Not going to rate, it depends on your budget.

Euphoria Intense has been a pleasant surprise. I bought it on impulse when I saw it cheap on sale online without too many expectations but oh Boy!! It is pretty darn good. Starts off very fruity ( there are no fruit notes listed but I get a watermelon like note, no idea what’s happening there) and then the Amber comes in. It has a kind of Oud note in the dry down but does not smell like real oud, some kind of synthetic note so dont get this looking for an oud frag. Overall I would call it a fruity Amber fragrance with hints of spices and it’s really nice in cold weather. Stays strong for about 5-6 hours and probably lasts a bit longer as my clothes were still smelling of it the next morning after a night out. Probably would work best as a night out/ clubbing frag for autumn/winter. it’s too playfully cheerful for the office or formal occasions for me but you could definitely rock just about any night out with this. I love it. 8/10

I had this scent back in College, and decided to buy a new bottle when I started working.
In my opinion the scent conveys the following:
    1. Mystery
    2. Masculinity
    3. Elegance
    4. Sex appeal
    5. Intimacy
Perfect for evening wear, and night-dates. I wouldn’t recommend using it daily (or during daytime)’coz it may offend other people.
    Scent:8/10
    Longevity:7.5/10
    Sillage:7/10
No. of sprays recommended: 3 to 4.

Nice scent but nothing special 3.5/10 longevity-projection 7/10
It is not good at all I’m not even gonna give this one a neautral rating. This stuff is not worth your money for the price I would give this one 1/10 but If that was a gift I would increase my rating to 4/10

Currently wearing Euphoria Intense, TF Oud Wood, SL Santal De Mysore, Bond No. 9 Brooklyn and Comme des Garçons 2 Man and Euphoria Intense is the clear standout. I’ll just leave that right here…

Used to smell really nice to me, but my nose changed. Now, it still smells decent, but nothing special.

Absolutely love this one. I blind-brought this for my father because I loved the notes and so did he. It’s just so spicy and smokey, it’s classy and sharp but still a little rugged. Love it, will buy it for him again when it runs out!

I like this one. It is one of the best fragrances from Calvin Klein.
The note breakdown looks rather interesting, but the scent does not smell like the way it is described. Nevertheless, it is a nice smell. It’s basically the smell of sweet strawberries with a little bit of basil and pepper; simple and playful.
I could see this being worn to the office, school, or on a cool night out in spring, fall, and summer. It is quite weak, meaning that wearing this in the winter won’t give you the same effect as you would get in warmer seasons.
Overall, I think this is one of the best CK releases and it’s definitely worth a sniff. I wouldn’t pay full retail for this one just because it is a CK fragrance (yes, this is a very biased thing to say).

Got a sample of this from Sephora simply because I had never seen it before. I had NO IDEA this fragrance would be so creative, quirky, playful, sexy, seductive, unique, and quite literally… outstanding. It lasts for at least 12 hours, and its projection is perfect. Oddly enough, upon very first spray it smells rather generic (I’m glad I never spritzed this on paper), but then, moments later, the wearer is treated to a deep, intense marriage of chocolate-coated strawberries, tropical melon and yes, perhaps… even peaches; all with a woody, masculine, delightfully restrained spiciness lying beneath. This is the scent of seduction. And YES, it IS quite euphoric.
    Overall: 9/10
Truly a diamond in the rough and a rare, hidden gem in designer perfumery. Far and away Calvin Klein’s best “male” offering, and a unique and special treat for the wearer as well as those around him… or her. I’m so glad my fiancé picked a bottle of this up for me for our anniversary yesterday. We’ve both adore it, just not nearly as much we adore each other. 🙂

Smells very good. A spicy dried-fruit scent that isn’t overwhelming and tart, but rather subtly sweet and comforting. Unfortunately, it’s relatively weak in terms of projection/sillage. I can douse myself with 6-8 sprays, and it doesn’t seem to get picked up by others. I will say, the longevity is pretty good; you can detect hints of it on your neck for the whole day.
Good for a subtle, inoffensive perfume that you can wear on a regular basis without knocking people out around you.

Am i the only one here who feels the scent like melon? Or somehow its like strawberry with chocolate jam in my skin. Not like it too much.

This is a very sexy Fragrance. Dark, smooth, velvety come to mind as well as sweet, powerful, gorgeous. It is one of Calvin Klein’s best. I spent a long time at Macy’s counter when deciding whether or not to purchase this against a whole bevy of nice colognes. I wanted something different but dark, strong, velvety — think burgundy and leather, a nice glass of red wine and some jazz…some Spring rain and nighttime…this screams evening comfort…it’s nice.
