Description
This floral oriental fragrance is inspired by an exemplary female figure in the Chinese culture,
Zhang. She was the mother of Mencius, the most famous philosopher after Confucius. She raised her son all alone after becoming widow when Mencius was still a child. She did so great that she turned into a model of maternity in China for the devotion she showed to her son’s welfare.
Espoir de Zhang is the result of melting the Oriental culture and flavors. From its flowers like
jasmine and vanilla, to its animals through musk; all of them belonging to the Oriental family of scents. The bouquet opens very sweet, like the smiles of the scholars, thanks to the combination of coconut powdered and plum. After few seconds the fragrance of precious flowers envelops you like a soft mother’s mantle, but immediately the mix of Tahiti vanilla and white musk give us a fresh breeze of Zhang’s soul.
Espoir de Zhang by Simimi is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women. This is a new fragrance. Espoir de Zhang was launched in 2016. Top notes are coconut, plum and anise; middle notes are jasmine, wild rose, lily-of-the-valley and tuberose; base notes are white musk, vanilla, almond and tonka bean.
The nose behind this fragrance is Paolo Terenzi.

This was a birthday gift from my best friend. She’s the owner of a big and reputable perfume shop and she has hundreds of different perfumes there, among all of them she chose this one and it shows that how well she knows me
I had tested some of simimi fragrances months ago and I was surprised by their high quality, gourgeous scents but they are very difficult to find and I also couldn’t afford to buy them so I had to stop dreaming about simimi beauties.imagine my surprise and joy when I opened a pretty gift box and see simimi’s luxurious beige and golden box in it and that eye catching, heavy golden bottle laying on beige satin that lingers inside of it’s box
Among my all perfumes,I never had something with such a beautiful, elegant and expensive looking bottle and packaging.even the most expensive niche ones can’t beat it in this field.even someone who isn’t a perfume junkie can say that it’s exclusive and expensive by looking at it’s golden metal box and that heavy round golden cap with pretty little flowers carved on it.inside tge box, there is also a simple plastic cap which you can use instead of it’s original cap to make it less heavy when you want to carry it in your bag
Sometimes a very gorgeous outside look means that they have put less effort on inside but fortunately not in this case.it’s scent is beautiful and balanced
When I first tried it reminded me hypnotic poison perhaps because of vanilla-almond-coconut combo.there’s definitely a similarity but it’s not a HP dupe.it’s as if it’s serge lutens datura noir and dior hypnotic poison sensuel’s love child and while I love both mentioned ones,I love simimi espoir de zhang even more
It has that delicious creamy almondy-coconut vanilla but as time passes a pretty white floral heart takes over.a jasmine, tuberose heaven which blends very well with other ingredients and there’s a touch of musk powder sprinkled on top of this yummy white floral-almondy-vanilla cream.it’s not too sweet, not heavy and in your face.everything is so balanced,so delicately meatured that I won’t change a single thing here if I could.
Though I love HP and datura noir,I just sometimes crave them and I can’t even think of using them frequently but I can wear this one always and forever.it’s so sexy without trying to be an evil, black bitch,so effortlessly beautiful.I just can’t stop sniffing myself
Espoir de zhang is an extrait de parfum so it’s no wonder to see that it lasts forever.it’s noticable for people around without being penetrating.it probably won’t fill a room but it mesmerizes people slowly but deeply.I recieved lovely comments even from HP haters
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
A note for my BFF:
Thank you for this lovely gift and thank you for being my friend

HUGE doses of lily of the valley, some coconut, vanilla, and musk to lighten the effect of it. The coconut almonds shows a bit later when it settles (3 mins) & again i still sense the salty note and i believe it’s her prime yet main note to add in her collection.
I personally don’t like Lily of the valley, yet i love coconut, anise, and bit of vanilla tonka, in here the blend is struggling within because of the salt note that turns into soapy salt afterwards (mostly it’s the musk and jasmines) that kind of disturbs my nose.
I don’t see this as oriental! the anise alone doesn’t present china! or even the coconut! it’s again kind of chaos to be honest.
