Description
EPIC is a strong willed fragrance, created the
talented perfumer Cecil Hua. This warm
blend of Sage, Iris and Yasmine are soothed
out of the rich suede and Amber, while the
textured Patchouli back renders a powerful
and ambiguous facet.
Other than this fragrance’s power to seduce,
it also has the power to make a difference.
The Brazilian Patchouli exact used in this
formula is part of the Kushta initiative:
“ PEOPLE,PLANTS AND POWER ” , to
source organic traditional essential oils which
comply with the UEBT principles and to favor
ethical products when main existing origins
are not aligned with the Global Compact
Principles. Epic was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Vincent Kuczinski.

First blast….not for the weak….lol…odd,sagey,herbs…..but wait.
This is one of those fragrances that DEMANDS to be let to develop on the skin and chemistry wise. It does go thru a couple transformations on me…then..the dry-down, which for me, is worth the wait !!! Very different type scent…old-school…vintage-y feel…which I love.
In the dry-down…the floral aspect evolves…softening that sage/patch/moss opening….osmanthus blended with LOV,peony..ylang…lightly…but effectively.
Sillage/projection on me is above average.
The slogan fo Blackglama…”What becomes a legend most”?
In this case….EPIC !!!

Right out of the gate I knew this one was a welcome change. The initial spray kind of leaves me at a loss of words. NOT in a bad way I honestly have a hard time describing it. Strong, powerful, unusual, and fantastic! I don’t believe i’ve encountered another fragrance like this. So as I examine the notes Fragrantica mentions I definitely get the woody and earthy notes I feel as though I am smelling some thyme or sage (as Lizardbreath mentions below) or something else here. After it begins to settle the aroma is very pleasing and while silage is mild lasting power is very moderate. I smell on my wrist the next morning. I would not recommend this as a blind buy but I do recommend it!
Update on lasting power… VERY good and continue to smell it in the evening when sprayed early in the morning.

I got it, at last. Everything is defined like “nero, black, noir” rouses my instinct and curiosity; black is my favourite color (“Black is the only true color” YSL said), and every noir version of a perfume is my favourite one. So, when a day, playing with the “search by notes” Fragrantica game, I found the Blackglama brand, I was in love. I have to get their perfumes.
It takes two months, due to my happenings, but then they send it to me and arrived in only one week from USA to Italy.
And so, while walking around rooms of my house sniffing at my wrists, I think it’ s worth every euro and waiting day I spent.
Is it sour? Yes. Is it sweet? Also, but not sugary. It has something of that kind of perfumes I adore, those one you understand you can’ t wear to go to the greengrocer’s or post office, you must wear them when you feel the sexiest girl in the world but also can show it. Something of that class that is tipical of those perfumes, so far away from fruity-vanilla-rose scents could wear my 17years old cousin. It requests a self-confident and full-built personality.
So, it starts so strong with sage, but it’ s just for few minutes; then comes the beauty of powdery flowers, that remains and introduce you the wonderful layer of patchouli and amber… and then, then , the Queen, the sensual suede, that smells like a smooth, nude and perfumed skin. It’ s the note enslaves noses.
PS: when I sprayed, my husband (who gave up hope for my passion by now) comes from the other room saying: “I don’t know which this is, but damn it THAT’s a f.. perfume!”
It was a compliment I guess.
