Heliotrope, vanilla and lavender combine to create what basically comes off as “candied lavender”. The magnolia adds a musky floral quality as well and the whole thing comes together as somewhat reminiscent of 80’s sunscreen.

I had this on my want list for a while now. Never tried it but knew I would love it by the notes.
Very very lovely unique summer fragrance. Initial blast of lavender and magnolia. I also get a slight smell of a cosmetic type violet; a nice illusion. Followed by heliotrope, rose wood and vanilla with a tinge of rose and cucumber to keep it fresh. Every note is discernable. This is a really fresh yet sweet frag. When sprayed on my skin I can feel the warmth of this frag more. When sprayed on clothes it becomes very fresh. It smells similiar to Cascade by Chopard and Tumulte by Cristian Lacroix, but tone down the sweetness and add lots of lavender and magnolia. Still, very unique.
I imagine myself in a posh resort in the Maldives; facing the blue/green ocean, whilst my backdrop is large lush trees and flowers in bloom with a waterfall nearby. Relaxing in white linen and a sun hat with jewels down my neck and diamente beach sandals; posh, yes, but still summer cool.
Good to carry in your purse as a refresher, especially if your not a fan of aquatics or “summer frags”. Recommended for those into sweeter, cosmeticy, types of perfumes, whilst still adding something ‘summery’ without being beachy sun tan lotion or citrusy/aquatic fresh. I’m liking this. Very feminine.

Interesting and unusual. My first reaction to the first sniff was that I had been punched in the nose with a purple velvet glove. Not seeing Prince in the vicinity I decided to wait and see what happened, particularly since I love Cocoa Tamarind and Mignonette. After the first wave subsided this developed into a lovely violet powdery scent with that astringent cucumber note to keep it from being too sentimental (sorry). I never did find the magnolia but after several hours this is a wonderful well-balanced blend of violet, cucumber and rosewood. I just don’t understand why the Voluspa people are not getting more love: their juice can play with anyone.
Sillage: 2-3 feet but subtle
Longevity: 4 hours and counting
Fabulosity: Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada
Value to price ratio: Superb
10/10

Enfleurage, just as its name is an intense floral scent. Starts with heady floral note and continues to hold the very intense characteristic all the way to dry down. There’s a hint of bitter woody note which is a bit woody and a bit green and I suppose, this comes from the cucumber peel rather the pulp. On the whole, it’s like a mix of intense and complex floral which are carefully set on sweet vanilla extract.
I find it very sharp and being said that, a little caution is required when spraying as little extra will be too much. Just 4 spritz and elegance and grace will be your identity.

the heliotrope in this smells very warm and intense, that’s why it does this violet sensation. i love the fragrances from voluspa, they are so delightful and the sillage is awesome. enfleurage is very natural floral smelling, very intense and subtle aroma of full blooming flowers in a wild garden – just delightful and elegant. rose and magnolia are whispering sweet airy, slightly powdery trails and the lavender is calming down the composition very shy in the background. a well balanced perfume – nothing to get noticed from far, but very tempting when someone gets closer 😉
…and it lasts for ages. great signature scent.
very thumbs up!

The first thing I notice upon spritzing Voluspa ENFLEURAGE is violet. It seems so clear and distinct that I cannot believe that it is a mere olfactory illusion! Within seconds, lavender storms in to take over with dictatorial loudness. But then the lavender slowly retreats, and the various other florals begin to mingle with the vanilla and rosewood to eventually create a somewhat violet-y not at all lavender-y drydown.
Offering a journey that I can heartily recommend, ENFLEURAGE is unexpectedly complex–and unique! This being the third eau de parfum from this little-known house to have pleased me A LOT, I have to say that perfumistas who like voluptuous floral compositions with big sillage and longevity nearly unheard of in the twenty-first century, should definitely get their noses on some of these fine creations. As an added incentive, the 1oz bottles are totally adorable and come housed in beautiful embroidered silk envelopes along with golden tassles around the nozzle as an extra adornment. The house of Voluspa clearly takes aesthetics seriously, and that’s a very good thing, IMNSHO. These would make excellent (and remarkably inexpensive!) gifts to others–or one’s self!!!!!
As soon as my perfume spending freeze is over, I’m going to buy everything from this house. Seriously.

A bit sweet yet powdery, the cucumber just floats in the background to give some cleaness at the opening. Also, I do get some spice from the rose but that isn’t too long lasting. I don’t find the lavender dominating – in fact, I find the rosewood more prominent in the opening stages than the lavender. But the lavender is there and continues the whole duration of the fragrance. I expect the cucumber is to keep the fragrance from being too cloying and that’s fine with me. I am not a fan of cucumber so glad to see it’s just an accent note in passing. Very reasonably priced at $18 for 1 ounce so I think this is a good fragrance to try for those who like low cost options.
