The Water Lily is beautiful, and the combination with Rose and Amber works a treat.
Unfortunately the opening is too bitter for my taste. I wouldn’t enjoy sitting through it each time before this scent turns towards the lighter notes.

Ecume de Rose is a lovely soft delicate salty, slightly smoky rose. It is beautiful, and combines gorgeously with the vetiver. Such a beautiful combination. It’s very fresh and quite sharp at the start, and then quickly becomes soft, velvety and powdery, with the amber and musk making it smooth and sweet, and the vetiver brings in a lovely smoky, dry, almost chocolate edge, which just serves to enhance this gorgeous rose. It’s a very earthy touch to a sweet and fragrant full blooming rose garden. It’s beautiful. I love these Rosine perfumes; they’re so natural and unique. And the packaging is always exquisite. I adore the colour and bottle of this one. Everything about it is delightful.

Yikes, several people here seem to have tested turned bottles which this line can do with age. I used to work for this brand and have smelled old turned testers and they can become quite syrupy. This should not have a heavy, syrupy drydown if the bottle is fresh. It starts out with a salty, aquatic rose and dries down to an earthy vetiver and Amber.

i find this rose particularly beautiful and intriguing. it starts fresh, even sharp, in a few minutes transforms into powdery soft floral with not a prominant rose note (thus, the water-lily plays the 1st fiddle here) and finally, you’re able to enjoy the desired long lasting rose middle note through the very last minute of the drydown. and this leading rose is so rich and velvet this time…a big love!

This rose starts out powdery and cool; slightly frosted glass. Then the scent sharpens a bit like a picture coming into focus. The tang of salt and the dryness of vetiver surround the rose. Waterlily and artemisia are the next most prominent scents. The fragrance has pretty good staying power and gets a bit more earthy and moist but not too much. It stays ethereal, regal and lightly aquatic. It leans a bit more towards the old-fashioned than the modern but is definitely not antiquated.

I find the perfume pyramid to be pretty honest here. Just imagine a nosegay of roses grazing your arm. That’s the result here. The water lily is very potent and almost dominate what’s left of this rosey scent. Im noticing a lemon nuance coming from the rose which creates an almost geranium vibe. This rose ain’t no punk(Bad grammar intended). It lasts and lasts and last then morphs into something absolutely different. To great surprise, im treated to a drydown that smells like a light version of Bond no 9 New Harlem.. Sticky syrupy cloying base indeed lending the right for this to be deemed somewhat unisex. Easy to wear even in the most frigid conditions. A safe bet if I was a betting man.
BLIND BUY WORTHY

Since I only had a sample of this very intriguing Rosine, I don’t believe I had enough of it to really get to know it well.
The notes are all beautiful yet I never got to hear the entire melody!

Écume de Rose has been my favourite rose perfume for years. It is dry and salty but not harsh or masculine even though it can be worn equally well by men in my opionion. It smells like a rose at the seaside.
What is amazing is that it manages to be very rosey yet very wearable also in formal conditions like work.I think the vetiver note in the drydown is responsible for that.I can’t smell any sweetness by ambery notes in it.
I absolutely adore this rose and love to wear this to Baltic Sea resorts in autumn where it harmonizes perfectly with the scent of the air.

I am a big fan of black currant as a note in perfume, in all of its various manifestations. In my experience, it ranges from a sweet, jammy, fruity scent very similar to black currant preserves all the way to a twangy, almost acrid scent which some liken to cat pee but is actually closer to oversteeped black currant tea, it seems to me. (I should perhaps add that I can in fact speak with great authority about the authentic scent of cat pee.) The black currant in Parfums de Rosine ECUME DE ROSE lies much closer to the twangy end of the spectrum, without quite making it to the realm of cat pee.
The black currant leaf in ECUME DE ROSE adds brightness and a touch of bitterness to this rose perfume. I like this combination a lot, and this is one of my favorite creations from the veritable rose perfume parade offered by Les Parfums de Rosine, a house truly obsessed with the rose. There could be worse obsessions, of course, and I don’t mind saying that I share this one with them!
ECUME DE ROSE is a fairly simple and somewhat linear composition. It’s twangy black currant and rose, and that’s about it. So whether one likes this perfume is going to turn entirely on one’s predilection for those two notes. They both smell natural here.

A nice rose scent, far from being “aquatic” on my skin. Opened with earthy rose combo with vetiver and soon changed to a very soft, feminine and delicate rose scent with tiny tiny bits of herbal feeling to it.
Nothing much to say about this, you do get a soft rose which stays very close to skin, it has a decant staying power and is very unoffensive and pleasing. Safe buy blind in my opinion for those who love a delicate rose.

The only rose scent I’ve ever really liked.

Now this one really fires up my imagination – it transports me to a rose garden with fountains. A subtle aquatic that is reasonably long lasting. Many people could enjoy wearing this one, it’s softer than, say, Zeste or Zephyr.

(This review is for Eau de Perfume)
ECUME DE ROSE transforms me into an old French garden with overgrown rose arches, abundant greenery and dreamy ponds full of water-lilies. The transparent, airy and aquatic notes are combined with the charmingly romantic rose in this subtle and delicate perfume that reminds me of a beautiful painting by Monet.
The water-lily in the opening is translucent and cool like a reflective surface of a calm pond on the hazy afternoon. The cassia adds a bit of spicy quality and mystery like when the waters of the pond become a bit clouded and hide what’s beneath the surface. The heart notes bring lovely tender rose scent like rosewater. There are three types of roses in the heart of this fragrance: Dune rose, Rose Attar and Rose Absolue. The dry down is gorgeous earthy vetiver mixed with slightly spicy rose.
The sillage and longevity is decent. The rose notes are natural and beautiful mixed with the dreamy aquatic tone and slightly spicy earthy rose dry down. This lovely and refreshing perfume is great for spring and summer time. Definitely recommend.

Clean rose-infused seawater-
Every note is there, as far as I can smell. Delicate, doesn’t lose the delicacy as it becomes earthier. The rose lasts until the (not) bitter end.
Adorable, the only floral aquatic I can think of that I like. Staying power is more than decent, but this isn’t a very strong scent to begin with-low sillage.

Ecume de Rose:
“You smell Roses but you also see Roses.”
Evertime when i smell this fragrance i have a Picture of smoky, mysterious Roses before my very eyes. It’s a foggy Night and you go for a walk,at the dark side of Paradise, and catch the smell of those, innocent roses by the deep blue stream.
This fragrance is one of the successful(most natural) roses scent i ever tried.
The opening is not shy it’s really strong, spicy, and smoky i smell the cassis note witch make it a little bit harsh, in the combination with the Waterlily it smells aquatic and dark.
After the scream comes the melody of pure, confident and beautiful roses accompanied from the earthy artemisia.
After some hours the fire is gone and left behind a warm, light glow of roses and wood.
This fragrance is not for everyone and not for every Occasion it’s special and you should wear it like a Queen wear their crown.
I would say this fragrance is better for womans not for girls. It’s definitive a Classic,Romantic scent with a Black and White side.
When you hear rose scent you might think this one is only good for the Spring time but this one is also good for the fall/wintertime and cool summernights.
When you smell the scent, you know why the Bottle looks so wonderful.

Lovely and unisex rose. It starts fresh and soft, with a natural note of rose, and it develops slowly. Basenotes of earthy, wet vetiver are quite noticeable two hours later.
Not my favourite in the line but I like it!
Edit: Staying power is superb! The smell in my t-shirt lasted for days and the vetiver-rose mix in the base is delicious.
