Eau sensuelle has nothing “sensuelle”. That jasmine ruin all the initial emphasis.
I do not like. It has nothing superlative.
    Persistence: Weak.
    Rating: 4/10

The opening smells like Tiger Balm then it mellows down and turns creamy. Not great but likeable

This fragrance is lovely on its initial spray, mainly of the gardenia and a hint of leather. But on my skin, in a tropical country, in the middle of August, this has zero lasting power! What a disappointment! It lasted half hour the best. Sorry its not for me… 🙁

Eau Sensuelle is a “perfumey” perfume. I like that about it, but it’s one I seldom reach for. It smells like luxury. It’s kind of cold and aloof, a little edgy. Very business-like. I enjoy the smell, just not exactly on myself.
I mostly get gardenia, leather, patchouli (not the dirty kind, but the tame kind you find in likeable designer frags), and a nondescript fruitiness that’s not totally ripe. It lasts hours on end. But beware that it is a perfume that can cut through a room if you’re not careful. It has been known to give me a headache if I’m not in the right frame of mind or if I happen to spray 1 too many times. Has the same high pitch and along the same lines as Coco Mademoiselle. If you love the former you’ll probably enjoy this as well.

Bought it from the BV store in Vienna, almost two years ago. I used up half of my 30ml bottle and then stopped because now I find it to be quite sweet and girly compared to what I’ve been in the mood for lately.
Funny how some of the reviewers perceive it as masculine, this just stands to prove how subjective the experience really is. 🙂
I will keep wearing Eau Sensuelle only on occasion or when nostalgia strikes, as, to me, this is the smell of fun times discovering Vienna.
I stand by everything I said in my previous review, except I should mention that longevity is really exceptional.
This perfume is a good entry point for those who enjoy a sweet, fruity patchouly but would like to step in and try something a bit more refined than what the market has to offer. I do recommend it!

This has to be one of the most unique scents i’ve encountered lately. It’s cold and warm at the same time. It screams masculinity, yet it is so high class feminine. It doesn’t smell like the ‘old school’ powdery, patchouli frags, it is just classy, musky and daring. I tried all the perfumes from Bottega at their stand and this one made me come back and buy it. The next one was Knot, which again is a great acquisition and a safe blind 🙂
Try it before hand, it is not the street fragrance LVEB or or any of them little black dresses out there 😉

I have a 50ml Eau Sensualle up for grabs/swaps as the fragrance doesn’t do well on my skin sadly.
Can offer Australian exchange only, due to our shipping restrictions. Thanks.

My favourite Bottega Veneta fragrance is the now very hard to find, Bottega Veneta Eau Legere. This Summer inspired release was the perfect leather fragrance for my skin; a soft, feminine leather blended with sultry gardenia, oakmoss and musk.
Seeing that Bottega Veneta Eau Sensuelle is more readily available, I had hoped that it would be similar enough to replace Bottega Veneta Eau Legere. Unfortunately it doesn’t quite wear the same.
Bottega Veneta Eau Sensuelle is a soft, feminine leather like the original Bottega Veneta EDP and Eau Legere, however the scent is brighter with a sparkling peach accord and a sweeter, more vanillic base.
This flanker is essentially a leather fragrance for those that aren’t huge fans of the leather accord. It’s a barely-there leather scent, delicate and unobtrusive. Although this fragrance can project quite strongly when over-applied, for the most part, Bottega Veneta Eau Sensuelle wears like a skin scent.
The longevity is above average lasting a decent 4-6 hours on my skin. The bottle is also very attractive with its light pink juice and a cute pink ribbon adorning the neck of the bottle. If you found Bottega Veneta EDP a touch too heavy and rich, I would recommend trying Bottega Veneta Eau Sensuelle as it may be more your cup of tea.

This perfume reminds me of what a 90’s 30-something mom of young children. But a chic European mom in America who only wears Mac makeup and only wears black Jil Sander clothes.

I decided to pick (another) high end treat for myself. I had trouble choosing so got a couple.! The sales assistant helped me well actually and I discovered this gem. I love Knot and bottega has that common distinctive note. But in some it is way too leathery for me and others too chyrpe even though I know it’s a chyrpe line. This one and the original I really liked but went with this one which is lighter and the also likely convinced by the effect of the sales person saying ‘it’s like lingerie’. Lol. But she helped me choose very well and I’m enjoying this a lot.

I was lucky enough to receive 25 perfume samples with a fragrance purchase, and Bottega Venatta Eau Sensuelle was one. I love these samples as it helps me try other things that the pure florals I’m always drawn to.
The first spritz of this took me aback. A deep musk, quite pronounced with hints of leather. I wondered if I’d accidentally used a mans cologne? Then comes a softer floral note but mixed with tobacco. On me, it smells very male, almost dirty, like picking up a peach covered in grit while your dad is smoking a cigar.
As it dries down, on my skin, the dirty notes deepen even more and the sweeter notes fade to nothing. . It’s an interesting scent but definitely not for me.

this starts off with a sparkling peach note. this so reminds me of something i tried years ago, but i can’t place it. i am getting a slight tresor vibe at first though, but this is sweeter. after about 5-10 minutes on my skin i get a very subtle suede note. it ends up being bottega veneta with a fairly strong sparkling peach note. it really does seem like tresor mixed with BV, but less complex on the tresor end…maybe a bit of tresor spilled on a leather glove. 😉

I disliked the first one from this line, but I was amazed with this flanker. Initially, at least.
It instantly reminded me of my Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, but without the pronounced patch, which usually ruins everything for me. I like Mademoiselle, I appreciate it but I just don’t love it and I’m afraid I never will. This BV Eau Sensuelle seemed to be everything I like from Mademoiselle, minus what annoys me, but only for the first half an hour or so. Then it transforms into something rather nondescript.
I’ve been testing it for days now, and my impression is always the same. After a great initial kick, it always ends up rather disappointing.

Fruity ‘leather’. Of the same family as the newer Aura by Loewe and Serge Lutens’ Daim Blond, although both are superior (the latter, definitely so). It’s inoffensive, but also unoriginal. More wearable than the original Bottega Veneta(on my skin at least, where the patchouli turns the leather ashen) but also less interesting. I also agree with others who have said this wears more like an EDT than and EDP. It’s pretty but, to this nose, completely unexceptional.

In first time it appeared in the air, it’s very sweet nectarine scent. after then it developed as original but little bit more floral.

I don’t get any peach, but a lot of flowers and leather. The composition is absolutely gorgeous, I love it and can’t stop sniffing my wrist. But somehow I can’t see myself wearing it. It’s almost too elegant and formal for me (along with the original and eau legere). I imagine this is what first ladies and princesses smell like, in 100% positive way.

This starts off with a really strong incense smell for me. In time, however, it becomes sweet and alluring.
The original Bottega Veneta means business, while Eau Sensuelle is more like a nectar meant to trap unknowing victims. 🙂
I don’t mind the soft sillage and I also think it smells much better in the cold November air.

This perfume is such a beautiful PEACH composition.
I absolutely love peach as a singular note, however, like rose, it is often so polarizing in perfume. Either it is represented as prudishly astringent or tackily overripe: virgin or whore. BV’s take on peach is elegant and refined, perfectly balanced between the strength of leather and the sensuousness of gardenia. A very rare feat, in my experience: well done!
Unfortunately, its sillage and longevity leave much to be desired, so I’m not yet sure if it’s quite worth a hefty $145 (Canadian). It looks as if other reviewers have issues with sillage as well. If they offered a smaller quantity at a cheaper price (e.g. roller ball) I would consider purchasing. Or perhaps an ‘Intense’ reformulation could correct this?

I finally received a sample of this! To be fair,I adore the original version and thought this would be even better. However, I find the sweetness doesn’t blend well with the patcholi. It dries down as a warmer version of the original. Silage and longevity not great either. I am sticking with the original.

I love the original Bottega Veneta. It’s distinctive and elegant. This is the more ordinary, dull, more anonymous version. Meh. I expected to love it because I love the original so much, so instead of spraying the tester onto a card strip I sprayed it straight onto my neck and wrists. In a couple of hours, it had nearly disappeared.

  21. :

Unfortunatelly on my skin this one turns really masculine. I get a lot of leather, some undefinable white flowers and this pungent male-ish aroma I can’t accord with any of the described notes. Well, drydown gets a little better, sweeter and vanillated. Longevity 4-5hours, sillage one meter short lived.

Eau Sensuelle is the lighter, more feminine version of original BV to me. Spicy, leathery gardenia with a hint of peach. I think it would be great for the fall/winter.
Sillage is small, and lasting power, particularly on clothing, is tremendous. My skin does “eat up” this fragrance, but on clothing, this can last through a wash.
I agree with a previous really reviewer who recommended this in lieu of Hermes Kelly Caleche. If you found the Hermes overly dry and leathery (or too peppery), definitely give Eau Sensuelle a try.
A dressy, sophisticated fragrance, and I will use up samples, but likely not full bottle for me.

I would consider this more of an edt rather than a parfum. It is very delicate and sits close to the skin after a couple hours. Long lasting but soft. A leathery floral with a faint peach. It took me a few wears to differentiate between the notes. This fragrance is well blended…as it should be for the price. Luckily I got a great deal on a 2.5oz bottle, else I probably wouldn’t have tried this.
I must say it was not what I expected at first. Initially I was looking for a strong leather note that rivalled the suede opening of TF Violet Blonde. However this is not it. Here, the leather is quite noticeable but it delicately mingles with flowers and fruit. On the other hand, the florals are balanced. Not overpowering at all. Peachy sweet, not syrupy or sugary. The tartness rounds out the scent. It transitions a couple of times on my skin. A strong opening makes way for the faintly spicy gardenia leather aftermath, enveloped by tart peach and kissed with vanilla and patchouli.
This BV flanker is correctly named. Light pink juice accentuated by the beautifully simplistic bottle. Sensual in all aspects. My only complaint is projection. I wish it was a bit more potent.

    This is so good!
it has one of my beloved flowers: gardenia but in a smooth-leathery way…and the Italian elegance is there, enveloping this fragrance.
Very charming scent for day use…Perfect for Fall-Winter.
it´s already in my wish List!

I love this!! Fresh at first, then a warm floral leather combo, high class, yet still easy to wear..if Kelly Caleche was too much leather for you, Eau Sensuelle is a more subtle version, but still, the leather is there , soft as suede…this perfume has a niche quality, like, it smells all woman and elegance..it has a classy vibe, yet isn’t hard to enjoy on a daily basis.it warms up in the base, and longevity is great…the scent is rounded, like nothing sharp here..beautiful soft leather creation !! In my opinion the best Bottega Veneta creation !!

It’s fresh, delicate, nice floral scent. I really like it, but something is missing there for me. A drop of sweetness? Hard to define. Anyway, it’s very nice scent for warm season.

Spicy gardenia and leather, lots of it!
Started sweeter than the original but all sweetness disappeared in the dry down.
This is very classic, feminine smelling to me.
I enjoy it more than the original because i find it to be a more feminine.
