I was desperately looking for a modern and more wearable version of Creed Bois Du Portugal, this is very close. This is a perfect example of how to make a classic frag without smelling dated. I completely agree with the below review, sheer quality is apparent from the very first spray.
I mainly get the citrus, galbunum and oakmoss. They have used citron instead of bergamot which is commenly used in this type of perfumes. I think citron gives a nice twist. There is a hint of jasmin also, but very subtle. Unfortunately Eau Noble performance is not so great, on my skin it last only around 5 to 6 hours with close to skin projection.
It’s shame that this beauty doesn’t get much attention, truly underated.

I have the new modern version which is quite beautiful. On first application to your skin you get a blast of slightly sour lemon citrus mixed in with lots of warm moss. Out of this I can smell hints of bitter green and a slight woody sweetness. Soon after the lavender becomes apparent and mixes in very nicely with the other notes.
As time goes by you can smell wafts of jasmine which is very subtle and soon replaced by a musky leathery amber sweetness.
The first thing that strikes you when you first apply the scent is the sheer quality. It smells very chic and classy.
The scent is very aromatic and really blooms on your skin and starts to open up and weave a symphony of different notes even though it’s tightly blended. The scent stays within arms length and lasts for about four hours before becoming a light sweet musky shell of it’s former self. But for the sheer quality it’s worth the ride!
This scent is a true homage to the old citrus aromatic chypre fragrance but spun in a modern way. Thumbs up!

Could the editors correct this blunder please? Or replace this current picture with the ORIGINAL one, or set up a different page just for this new relrease. It’s not professional and very misleading, one could easily rate here for the original and somehow high rank the new one, leading later customers confused and end up getting a different bottle.

If you love Chanel Pour Monsieur, Monsieur de Givenchy, Dior Eau Sauvage or any of the classic mid-century masculine citrus chypres but find their modern formulations to be a little too polite, I urge you to investigate Le Galion Eau Noble. The aromatics, the bracing citrus and mossy base are all accounted for, but the pleasantly dirty, leathery civet musk keeps this bad little kitten purring four many hours.

A very noble scent. It reminds me of edu du soir by sisely, magie noire by lancome, but i would say noble is more deep and mature. On my skin i would say i can smell other than green mossy lemony smell the small of santalwood and rose. Growing up surrounding with such smells all over around by all ladies in my family smelling like that all day along and all year around i am a bit familiar with this fragrance. Awesome

Please can fragrantica also list the original releases from this house, many of which are still to be found as vintage perfumes and are quite different to the resurrections.
I have the original release of Eau Noble and it is quite a heavy fragrance with lots of animal notes. Nothing like Eau Sauvage !!!

One of the brands that caught my attention this last year, Le Galion, keeps surprising me.
After falling in love with Special for Gentlemen, and liking many of the others, Eau Noble caught my nose exactly for the reason that bears it’s name; nobility.
The previous reviewer found a similarity to Eau Sauvage. I find the description spot on, but I believe the similarities go further; the great Edmond Roudnitska.
Roudnitska, apart from Eau Sauvage, is the nose behind the fragrance I believe most resembles Eau Noble; Rochas Moustache.
Moustache has a very virile barbershop personality. Aromatic, citrusy, animalic. The lemon in it is borderline sour, just like the sourness found in Diorella. I guess Edmond liked his fruit on the verge of rotten carnality. Many will hate it. Personally I love it.
Eau Noble has the same fruit-past-it’s-prime-in-the-garbage-about-to-rot feeling.
But since lemon isn’t listed I have to guess that the culprit is the citron. I’m not familiar with citron in isolation, so I guess that being a member of the citrus family, it’s the most similar to the effect of lemon in Moustache.
But Eau Noble it’s a bit more elegant. Where Moustache shows its power from the beginning, Eau Noble slowly unfolds towards its animalic heart.
The opening note is brief but shocking. Among classic citrus colognes, or green mossy Chypres, Eau Noble unfolds as a more deep variation. The freshness is more bracing, deeper. The galbanum adds the bitter greenness that reminds me of 60’s and 70’s Chypres, while the animalic notes (not sure if it’s civet, castoreum, or simply dirty musks, as these notes probably refer to the vintage version) warm it all up, give it body, and ground it on the skin for hours.
I can also smell leather. Sometimes the note, especially when used in citrus fragrances, tends to show a soapy aspect, and when Eau Noble dries down I get quite a bit of it.
I don’t particularly get the jasmine, and the herbal aspect of marjoram and sage is very weak. The drydown showcases the labdanum and oakmoss on my skin.
Given the fact that all these are relaunches and reinterpretations of vintage fragrances, I doubt the original formulas would be IFRA approved. None the less the spirit of the house feels right, and the old world charm is present from beginning to end.
For me, Eau Noble feels like an homage to Edmond Roudnitska.
    It’s not your typical summer fragrance, and the heft of the fragrance makes it suitable for men and women looking for an easy to wear scent with an edge. If you enjoy the aforementioned fragrances, as well as Mona di Orio’s Lux (another Roudnitska tribute) and Herme’s Eau d’Hermes give this a try. It feels of the family;
    Elegant, uncomplicated, but with personality.
One of the better aromatic fragrances out there.

the resurrection of this French brand is the best news of the year. All their perfumes are really beautiful creations, delightfully classic. They compete with Guerlain quality or Rochas. Here in this case is very similar to Eau Sauvage, still the older formulations of Dior before the current disaster by Demachy. Not my style at all but we must recognize the quality when we find it.
