@bevren – which Duck do you have in mind?:) If the pine one, then this would explain why I like the pine Duck so much!:-D I remember smelling this on a ferry in 1996 and it was beautiful, fresh, elegant, maybe indeed a bit detergent-like but in a very positive sense – like a most luxurious restroom in a 5 star hotel. I’d really love to smell it again.

sorry but as soon as I smelled this it was Toilet Duck. Oh dear…

I love this soft and elegant perfume which imparts a sense of calm and loveliness!
Despite its soft nature it persists with a quiet elegance.

I like it. It is fresh and mild, elegant and long lasting.
Adelhydes are strongly present in my opinion.
I see that it’s price is discounted, this is nice because when I tried it the first time it was way too expensive.

I wore it when I was a teenager, and at that time it was ok… specially during spring or summer time, because it is really fresh and makes you feel clean. My advice is to wear it only in those cases, if you´re young and you´re living in a place with hot weather…Recomended for informal events only!

Had I tested EAU D’ORLANE blind, I would have guessed that it was put out by Clean, as it is perfectly in line with their typically light and cologne-y “cleanish” offerings. My mini certainly does not contain anything even vaguely resembling a floral aldehyde perfume. Instead, this liquid strikes me as a dime-a-dozen synthetic vetiver cologne-type fragrance with a common rendition of lily of the valley, and there’s not much else to say.
It is possible, as another reviewer remarked, that EAU D’ORLANE does not age well, and since my mini came from a discount internet emporium, who really knows how long it sat on the shelf of a warehouse which may or may not have had good climate control? Perhaps since 1992. In any case, even if this is what EAU D’ORLANE is supposed to smell like, I won’t be adding it to my collection, as I am not a fan of the house of Clean. Désolée.

Like Jennifer said, Eau d’Orlane begins fresh and soapy–which is kind of nice. The middle is a little chemical, and I dunno, floral-ish? The end notes are pretty nice, if a bit masculine. Those notes are the amber, tonka bean, oakmoss, musk, and cedar–scents that are associated more in men’s cologne rather than women’s perfume. Overall, I’d give it a C-. I do think that it is a pretty good scent when you’re on your way to the gym.

This begins very fresh, a little soapy or chemically, and ends very masculine, ( no suprise when you check out the base notes!) Perhaps it just doesn’t age well. My tiny tube has been in the bathroom closet for many years…basically I am not impressed.
