yeees, the jodete silly jokes were very popular back then

Very true.
In Spain, were I live, and women have preference for citrical-green scents (Agua Fresca de Rosas de Adolfo Domínguez, Eau de Lâncome, Eau de Lancaster, Eau de Rochas, Aire de Loewe…), this was in a certain period hugely popular. I think it was perjudicated both its not wisely chosen name and its very low price. I never liked it, it was too faint and common for my taste, but it had a great relation quality-price. Nonetheless, it was a well constructed fragance.
And yes, I was fed up too of silly jokes about the “hódete”

This is one of my all-time fauvorites. When this came out I used to bathe in this almost daily, specially in summer. This is soooo fresh, airy, watery, so clean and lovely, green, floral, woody and only a little bit sweet. Even if this could be seen as another citrus bath cologne, its very feminine and distinc, and also fresh, light and not cloying. In the same spirit of Chanson D’Eau, Depende or Eau Jeunne. This comes in a box decorated with aquatic greenery, nenufar like leaves wich seems so very propper and descriptive for this green, light fragance. This is in the spirit.of those green, fresh scents from the 70’s. Even after they banned oakmoss, the scent hasn’t changed much. This is one of the few survivors of reformulation without oakmoss. The name of this EDT was a bit unfortunate and granted a lot of bad jokes in the day: Eau D’Eté sounds very similar to “jódete”,wich means f*** you in Spanish. So people didnt take this fragance seriously but its actually very lovely, cheap (around 10€) and soooo fresh!. This was very easy to find back in the day, but nowadays only bigger perfumeries sell it.
Note: This is NOT by Puig. This is by Myrurgia.
