This is a beautiful summer scent evocative of a secret lagoon paradise. As someone who enjoys unisex and green, and does not much like sweet or floral this is a win.
It opens with a watery pink floral breaze that blows into a fresh green seculent crunch. I was wondering what a cactus note was, and found it. Fresh green aloe vera, cactus flower and salt bush.
From the pyramid this looks like it could be a taquila shot, its not. This is a fresh, cool cucumber and very unisex.
Dont really get much citrus wood or amber, but I do pick up a light white musk during the drydown mixed with the exotic green marine. The water floral is gone after 1 hour. Overall last for 6 hours with a confortable projection.
This sort of reminds me of Commodity Rain, but less floral and more unisex. Of the 3 Comptoir Sud Pacific fragranses I have tried this is my favourite

EDL is an interesting fragrance, I can’t quite pin it down. The open is a blast of salty lime, which I don’t quite like. However, this quickly settles into a floral-woodsy-grassy (from the cactus, I suspect) accord, which sustains into the drydown. While there’s no aquatic notes, it does have an aquatic lightness to it, I could definitely see myself wearing this on the beach.
A very pleasant fragrance, but nothing to write home about. My advice would be to ignore the open and wait for the drydown, that’s where this fragrance shines. Performance isn’t great, I get around 3 hours and this is a skin scent on me.

Eau des Lagons is a mysterious one. Google Translate says that ‘lagons’ is French for ‘lagoons.’ And appropriately, there’s an aquatic lightness. But there’s so much more! Here’s an elegant evolution from the citrus opening to a floral-woodsy heart.
What’s novel to me, is that I can’t smell a thing for the first full minute. But then, the sillage & lasting power is tremendous! It easily lasts over night.
Whenever the Cyclamen-Peony-Lotus trinity appears in a pyramid, one worries for any resemblance to the L’eau d’Issey calone-bomb. Very happy to report zero Calone in this aquatic beauty. There’s a top note that I cannot place, which brings to mind something I enjoyed in Clinique’s Happy (circa- 1992, not the reformulation), which may be the Cactus. What I’m interpreting to be the Cactus note, also appears full-strength in Atelier’s Mandarine Glaciale.
Since I can’t do sugary-gourmands, this is the first CSP in my collection.

Indeed a masculine fragrance because my nose gets some vetyvert in the beginning and it’s very Aventus-like! However it sets with notes of flowers, lotus, cactus.. with a marine approach. Truly wonderful and mesmerizing and very dynamic! It changes quickly and drastically. A true “story-teller”. I think it is more suitable for a summer evening however, considered the approach.

more masculine than unisex, first impression on skin is very positive, especially if you are a fan of AdG and Light Blue types. Too early to rate performance but I am very happy with the scent with the unique note of cactus standing out. Would be a great choice for those who love aquatic-aromatics but do not want to wear anything that is too popular. I wouldnt pay retail but definitely worth the lower price at discounters

As others have said, this really doesn’t strike me as a unisex fragrance. Having read the reviews I gave my wrists a conservative spray expecting something light and fresh, how wrong I was- I actually had to wash it straight off even though I hate wasting perfume. I detect some rather heavy woody, warm notes and even… sweat? Pheromones? There’s something distinctly masculine about Eau Des Lagons. Smelling my wrists now however, after washing, there’s a pleasant (and obviously faint) suggestion of something pretty and floral, like when you go out early in the morning in the summer following rain.
I’ll try and edit this if I can persuade my husband to give this scent a try because I think on a man it could smell wonderful.

Of late, I’ve been referring to the U.S. president as “Gilligan”. Why not, then, try an apparently Gilligan’s Island-inspired fragrance? How about Comptoir Sud Pacifique Eau des Lagons?
Turns out that this is a rather Gilligan-esque scent. A little this, a little that, moves one way or the other according to the direction of the wind. Here aquatic, there floral, a little woodishness, a bit of citrus, some overlap with the musky sea water of Aqua Motu.
This is just okay. Neither remarkable nor egregious. The drydown has something of a cucumber cast–perhaps it is the pulp of the mythic cactus? Eau des Lagons could easily be Gilligan’s signature scent.

A very classic men’s cologne/after shave. I think many supermarket brands have replicated this repeatedly. Nothing extra special, a fresh aromatic scent. Not for women in my opinion

It is more like a guys smell…but it is really fresh

Generic and unremarkable sport / summer fragrance. Kind of Aventus on a budget (in the drydown). Long lasting.
    Rating: 4/10

Maybe masculine a little bit. It isn’t unisex fragrance for me, on my skin. I can imagine on my husband in summertime. Fresh, clear and longlasting perfume.
