Description
Eau des Délices previously known as L`eau du Jardin. Everything imaginable has been related about this subject:
– That the inventor’s name was Feminis, but they say it is his nephew, the famous Giovanni Maria Farina who was the first to manufacture this Eau at the end of the 18th century in the city of Cologne.
– That the Emperor Napoleon never set out on one of his campaigns without taking along this Eau so fresh, young and invigorating.
– That today a host of perfume compositions claim this prestigious title.
As for all its creations, Le Jardin Retrouvé has travelled back to the sources of perfumery in order to create its own Eau de Cologne.
Its Perfume Creator has selected the very best essential oils – Lemon and Bergamot from Italy, Neroli from Grasse, Orange and Mandarine, enhanced with touches of Oak Moss, Sandalwood from Mysore and Musk.
Though it follows the most classical lines of Eau de Cologne, that of Le Jardin Retrouvé distinguishes itself by its own innate quality and the originality of its conception. The nose behind this fragrance is Yuri Gutsatz.

The most ‘retro’ of the group, a fine, light cologne with a touch of musk for sensuality.

Eau des Délices was created on the same concept as the traditional Eaux de Cologne, in a time of “miraculous waters” that were used to perfume and cure the evils of body and soul.
It has essential oils of lemon and bergamot from Italy, besides notes of mandarin, petitgrain from Paraguay, French lavender, oak moss, cypress and patchouli. It is a retelling of a classic from the House, called Eau du Jardin, which had notes of neroli, sandalwood and musk and was created by Yuri Gutsatz.
The main difference of Eau des Délices for the other fragrances of the House is its Eau Fraîche concentration, since the others have Eau de Parfum concentration.
In terms of aroma, Eau des Délices does not differ much from the traditional citrus colognes of an era, such as the 4711 Original Eau de Cologne and all the others that came after its launch. When touches the skin, the bergamot – juicy – refreshes as if absorbed by the pores. The first hour has a bigger projection, but the fragrance loses power quickly, because the notes are more volatile. Although it does not show much evolution, it is possible to feel the nuances of the oak moss during the process.
Eau des Délices is refreshing and invigorating. It is a tour through the Italian Coast portrayed by the look of a traditional French perfumer. And, obviously, this type of fragrance combines very well with warm climates like the Brazilian.

I am a sea lover. I am a woman of summer. Everytime I come to the sea and feel the waves tickleing my toes I feel pure joy. While I smile to the sun, I like to keep my hands busy with a sparkling, tasty cocktail. My favorites are those made from citruses and mineral water. The tingling bubbles, the sound of the waves and the smell of salt and warmth are magical.
It is not an easy task for me to find a great citrusy perfume. Most of them tend to become to bitter or too sour. Somehow, Eau des Délices manages to remain fresh and sparkly. It is very refreshing and I love to wear it in days when I miss summer, or when I feel stressed and I need something happy to uplift my mood. The only bad thing is that Eau des Délices does not last very much on my skin… but maybe it is because happiness comes in small portions, isn’t it?

Opens with a beautifully sweet lemon and lime, then the orange comes through, joining his two friends in a party of fresh deliciousness. The orange lingers longer than his two buddies and is eventually joined by the musk and woody base that settles the dry down into a luxuriously comforting citrus musk. Another beautiful scent from this soon to be relaunched house, go to their website, choose three samples and enjoy them for yourself.
