Vintage bottle.
A delicious floral oakmoss explosion. Definitely retro, but the real oakmoss is a feast for the senses. After the initial alcohol blast (only seconds, just wait) (1) an old fashioned, decadent floral bouquet on a bed of cool moss. Beautiful. (2) Then slides into something that reminds me of EL Knowing, but patchouli too? Yum/sexy/interesting (3) then lastly the powdery (iris?) lipstick element, oh, expected but not for me. So because of stage 3 I won’t wear it.
How old is this bottle? 30? 40? More? Still full of delights. A wonderful product of the East of this continent (Europe). I can hardly imagine the story of this bottle who arrived with me, unexpectedly in England, last week.
Ok, I am a man, and this is a fragrance for a woman, at least until we break down the remaining stereotypes, but I can’t understate how much I enjoyed the journey of wearing this today. This is why I love perfume: Notes, history, emotion, gender, memories, culture, associations. Fabulous.
