هوشمندانه ست اما تو ساختش سستی و کوتاهی شده. شرم آوره. دانهیل فرِش می تونست یه عطر واقعا خوب واسم باشه، اگه اون ها فقط تلاش بیشتری به خرج می دادن. اساساً یه ترکیب بنفشه محور هست بین یه نسخه لایت تر از فارنهایت دیور که روی اون جیل زاندر من زده شده. نوعِ سبز تر و “آکواتیک”تر هر دوی اوناست، با یه نتِ بیسِ چرمی ملایم و واقعا خوب و یه آکورد نرم پودری از بنفشه و روایح سبز. و حضور نم نم‌ی از روایح چوبی و این تمام چیزیه که هست. پس این بیسِ تاریک، واقعا ملایم و راحت از چرم مصنوعیِ پودری وجود داره، به همراه یه آکورد چوبی واقعا لذت بخش و لطیف، که در رأسش یه نوع آکورد سبز نمناک از گیاه ها و مرکبات علف مانند هست. تا اینجا خیلی خوبه، پس مشکل کجاست؟ مشکل اینه که به چند دلیل که توضیح دادنش ممکن نیست، رایحه این عطر عمیقاً و بطوری نا امیدانه ای پژمرده و بی رنگ هست واسه من. شاید مواد استفاده شده موادِ ارزان باشن، اما بیشتر از اون، به نظرم تو این حالت ممکنه اینطور رایحه ای بوجود بیاد: احساس می کنم اگه اون ها این دو “ایده”ی خوب رو برای ساخت این کار داشتن ـ یه چیز لاستیک مانند بنفشه ای چرمی + یه چیز مُشکی آبی علف مانند، و در مرحله ای اون ها فقط یکی رو روی اون یکی زده و همونطوری تو شیشه کرده باشنش، بدون اینکه واقعا به هماهنگ و تنظیم کردن نت ها با هم توجه کرده باشن. اونموقع شما ترکیبی مثل این رو دریافت می کنید که بنظر می رسه شامل دو لایه جداگانه ست که تو یه راه به موازاتِ هم حرکت می کنن جای ترکیب شدن با هم، مثل وقتی که شما دو عطر مختلف رو با هم لایه کرده باشید (رو هم زده باشید). و با خراب و خنثی کردن همدیگه تموم میشه. این شرم آوره چون شما احساس می کنید اون ها با هم می تونستن خوب ترکیب شن، فقط با کمی میزان سازی بیشتر و کمی سعی برای “یکی” شدن ـ و یک کار کاملا خوب شدن. در عوض اینجا بنظرم همه چی تاحدی ناجور و وصله وصله می مونه. یه فاجعه کامل نیست با این وجود: همین حالاش هم یه عطر رسمی خیلی خوب، شیک، گرم و ملایم و با پخش بوی ظریف و نزدیک به پوست هست (و دوامی ضعیف). برای من هیچ چیز تو این عطر “فرِش” نیست، اما روشنیِ خودش رو داره. فقط از چیزیکه می تونست تنها با کمی تلاش بیشتر ساخته شه، بیروح تر هست.

@Razmale_Kl… My friend you should go and get an MRI of your head and I’m not joking. A friend of mine was smelling strange things like listerine in colognes that were obviously not there and he had a tumor. Better to be safe than sorry. On that note, this a very nice Fahrenheit clone, albeit a very soft one. Spraying works better on your clothes than skin for longer longevity. There is no listerine smell in this. And it a beautiful gem for the price.

I respect what they tried to do here. But I am afraid it does not work well. It is very harsh and hard to wear. I bought it for sport activities, but even for that, it just does not work.

I don’t know how people get Fahrenheit out of this, maybe a little bit of Fahrenheit Aqua. It’s a decent fragrance and priced about right at around $20 for 3.4oz. Average longevity but nowhere near the longevity of Dunhill Red which is a superior fragrance but more for the fall season.
Dunhill Fresh is not ground breaking and if you already have a large collection there’s no real reason to own it unless you just want to add another fragrance to your Spring/Summer rotation. It’s definitely masculine, somewhat unique, and above average performance at a price that won’t break the bank. In short, it ticks all the boxes I look for in a fragrance.
Lastly, Dunhill is an underrated house. They’ve released some excellent fragrances that don’t get the love they deserve. Best of all most of their fragrances are priced very affordably other than Icon which has been over hyped.
UPDATE: The cap on the bottle sucks. It doesn’t stay on and fits very loosely. So if you have that issue don’t think it’s a fake, it’s just poorly designed. Bummer.

Strong, fresh, and soooo good. This isn’t a soapy or citrus kind of fresh. It’s herbal, woody, and deeply masculine. It has that gasoline accord that the original formulation of Fahrenheit had. It’s not overpowering, just prominent enough to make it distinct. Longevity and sillage are off the charts for me. This stuff does not quit. It lingers on clothes for days. On my skin, I get a good 10-12 hours with moderate projection. It’s a safe blind buy if you’re already familiar with the its Dior cousin. If you’re not, go test Fahrenheit Aqua at Sephora first. It’s not a copy by any means, but if you like that, you’ll like this and you’ll save about $50. You’re welcome.

I can’t find the fresh note like in the name label. When I see the name I think of fresh perfume which is none of it in the scent. I find it it very grasy perfume, or maybe it called very green too here, and I think its even more green than GIT. However for those of you who like grasy fresh scent, Kenneth Cole reaction should be more fresh than this one with a little grassy smell in the opening. Maybe in the cold weather the scent should be more pleasant and turn into a fresh grassy feeling, however I think this is not a fresh scent for a hot weather.
Sillage is quite good with this price, and longevity is above average.

If you like “clean” scents – you will love Dunhill Fresh… It is all about the “green notes” with this Dunhill fragrance.
Out of the bottle, you instantly get the green notes -yes, there are other notes in this fragrance, i.e. amber, floral, vetiver, etc., but it is the green notes that overtake those minor notes are signature for this fragrance. The end result is pleasant fragrance that is easy on the nose. Perhaps you have smelled Swiss Army’s “Unlimited” edition – many similarities to this fragrance. (Swiss Army lasts much longer and has garnered many more compliments..)
Fresh provides modest longevity, lasting about 6 hours and even longer on my clothing. Projection/sillage is modest at best, settling close to skin level follow two (2) hours of wear. Obviously, geared more toward day wear in Spring and Summer seasons. While I am comfortable wearing any fragrance, I think Fresh is more suited for a younger crowd. Additionally, I will make a more bold statement that this fragrance nears middle of road at being a unisex fragrance. I have smelled a number of niche fragrances deemed unisex that are more masculine than Fresh. Dare to be different – go for it..!!
I have about seven (7) Dunhill fragrances in my current collection and I admire the bottling design in each one. Fresh is no different – first class design and the bottle represents high quality and confidence. The price/value is awesome. I just checked current on-line pricing and a large bottle can be purchased for under $30 USD. A great deal…
Bottom line – my tally for Fresh is 4.0 stars out of 5.0 stars. While I like it, I am not sure I love it. It smells similar to many fragrances available. If you like clean, fresh showered fragrances, I definitely recommend adding to your collection. If you are a seasoned collector, take a pass on Dunhill’s Fresh – it is good, but keep searching for your signature fragrance…

Not that ‘fresh’ really in the same way that say a Cool Water is. It dries down pretty quickly into a light but tenacious woody musk, which I like quite a lot. It also has that Dunhill ‘family accord’, a kind of cheap powdery synthetic signature note that I’ve noticed before in their other recent offerings. Overall though I think it’s pretty good. Recommended.

This one turns vetiver galore on me. Woodsy, soft, a little green, just a tiny bit of the flowers – quite nice actually, clean fresh and safe. Another solid offering from Dunhill – I have to admit I’m impressed. Such a shame they deal in cigarettes, I think they could earn a honest living selling perfumes.

I own a bottle of Dunhill Fresh. I only wear it during hot summer months, and in the daytime. On my skin, it is VERY potent. After several hours, I can still smell it on myself, and sometimes it gives me a headache.

Yes it does smell a bit like Fahrenheit but it has a strong patchouli drydown – lasts a long time, leaves a sweet warm fragrance on the skin – it’s a really nice one. **UPDATE** Just tried Vision by Ajmal and, to me, it’s identical to DF and it’s much cheaper.

Since there seems to be a lot of reviewers comparing this to Aqua Fahrenheit, which I also like, I’ll throw in my thoughts. On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 smells nothing like it and 10 is an exact copy, Dunhill Fresh is around 2.5. You’d have to take all of the citrus out of Aqua to even get close. I haven’t tried other Fahrenheits to make similar comparisons.

Been using this for a long time as a summer scent it never let me down it has a strong patchouli dry down which is a bit boring after a long time of usage.. But overall a great summer scent!

However, the last few days I’ve been wearing samples of the new A Men Pure Shot and have been trying to pin down what it reminds me of, and this is it. That said, this much better, has superior longevity and silage, and is A LOT cheaper!

Let me just repeat or confirm that this Dunhill Fresh DOES smell very close to Aqua Fahrenheit (not sure about Summer edition tho because I never tried). Without thinking about it too much, I really can’t notice a difference. I may find Dunhill Fresh a bit more soapy and much lighter, but it is a lot less expensive and easier to wear. I can now put Aqua Fahrenheit away and just use this.

I kind a had a feeling it had some mint, I checked the site for the notes and mint it is.
When I spray this fragrance about 3 to 4 shots I do get the feeling of Fresh.

I bought this today and am quite impressed with it. The situation in which I bought this in some small way mirrors the scent itself. Today was 39 Degrees C (102F) with high humidity. I went into a shopping mall to buy this and some other things. The sky was getting overcast as I entered. About 15 minutes later as I walked out of the mall I was surprised to see that it was pouring down with rain – so refreshing. I ran to the car grinning like a fool.
Here in Western Australia it very rarely rains in summer – even when it is very humid. To help me feel cool, I choose refreshing scents, as many people do for summer and this one is perfect. It reminds me of Ice Men by Thierry Mugler, though it is not as heavy with the patchouli. It’s a bit like someone mixed Ice Men with Versace Eau Fraiche. Dunhill is more floral than either Mugler or the Versace, but it is at the same time masculine.
Dunhill is more shortlived than either Ice Men or Versace, though on me those are quite durable fragrances. I am yet to test it out on a hot day (it is night here as I write this)- but at night I got maybe 5 hours out of it.
2012 EDIT …. The cap is really heavy and as a result I broke the neck of the bottle of taking the cap off…pretty poor design and a waste of fragrance.

I also noticed a similarity to Fahrenheit, though I thought that was from my amateur nose. Glad I’m not alone there.
Fell in love with the woody freshness. Then my second and third bottles were consistently disappointing. Was I expecting too much from an old favorite or was the stock old? The original bottle still smelt better after owning it for so long. Sadly it has turned me off buying this smell again.
The nicer things tend to fade quickly. One of the best smells I ever found, pity i don’t trust whatever stock would be left.
Have to recommend trying it, still, as I’m sure you’ll fall in love.
