This is beautiful, a true vanilla with an amber base and hints of custard. The raspberry and coconut are not distinct to me, but it’s a gorgeous, golden, round kind of scent. Very cozy and lasts and lasts. I get so many compliments with this one! I am definitely in love. If you love gourmands, Amber or vanilla, try this. Really delightful.

Excellent fragrance! The first 30min aren’t my favorite, but the dry down is well worth the wait. After 30min the raspberry settles down and the amber starts showing up and smoothes everything out. I feel this is easily unisex and worth checking out.

How can people not smell the fruit in this? This starts out sweet vanilla then a burst of ripe red fruit until it dries down with musk. There is an animalic base but no musk or civet is mentioned. It’s a spicy scent. Nice.

I adore it. It’s one of my favourite vanilla, caramel, fruity perfumes. It’s so divine. It’s a lovely fresh fruity sweetness, that I can’t have too much of. I wear it and wear it….it’s a heavenly, delicious gourmand perfume. It’s like a vanilla custard fruit flan. I love them, and this is just like I’m breathing that delicious smell right in! Mmmm, mmmmmmmmm……………!

Based on the description, I wanted to give this a try. I got 2 bottles off eBay for less than $8. There is something familiar about this scent; maybe reminiscent of Coty Wild Musk? I really like it. It reminds me of fragrances that were popular when I was in high school in the ’80s. Decent sillage and longevity. I’m glad I got it, but it may seem dated to some.

I thank my lucky stars I have this discontinued gem. Dulce is a gourmand vanilla fragrance with a tropical air. It’s like a tropical dessert. It takes me to a beach in Curacao, Bonaire, Aruba or Martinique. Everyone is at the beach sporting bikins, thongs, and sitting on blankets of every color of the rainbow. The scent of vanilla ice cream is in the air. Coconut palm trees sway in the summer breeze. It’s fortunate too that this does not smell like sun tan lotion or a shampoo. It’s a sweet gourmand but it’s also an early gourmand frag before they went on steroids. There is coconut water, raspberries, caramel and amber. It has what a lot of perfume lovers really go for: amber and vanilla. To my nose the amber really does stand out as strongly as the vanilla. The coconut is also very noticeable and the caramel. Every note is there and smells delicious. I love the design of the bottle too. I have 3 bottles and I’m selfishly keeping this dessert for myself. Whenever I’m craving a gourmand fragrance I wear this one.

I owned this one for a short time because I had Dark Vanilla by Coty. My Mom who is a vanilla freak kept stealing this so I just gave it to her. I didn’t love it on me but it smelled amazing on my Mom. Kind of reminds me of a non peppery version of Ici also by Coty. I too wonder why they discontinued this one. It was one of the few vanilla scents that didn’t make you smell like a piece of toffee.

Overly sweet synthetic Vanilla at first,
settles into a nice soft warm Amber.
Not unique or special but nice for the price .
medium longevity only with many sprays 😉

It smells like like Bath & body works –Fresh Vanilla– & that’s also discontinued! why I.D.K? because they have came out with so many OTHER vanilla’s that didn’t stand up to fresh vanilla it was pretty amazing for a B&Bworks scent! . .. & everrry time I go in & ask for it they so NO but we have . . ”warmvanillacaramel-or-brownsugarvanilla-or-etc . . . all 2 sweet 4 me & smell the same just a sweet simple vanilla . . .. but something in this Coty parfume smell’s similar 2 that fresh vanilla– I know the ‘NOTES’ was Vanilla-sugar milk-prailene & a few other’s . . . im thinking its the PRAILENE ? ? ? ? but who knows!

How I wish they would bring this beautiful fragrance back. This is my favorite vanilla of all time. It was so much nicer than anyone gave it credit for, probably due to the fact it was a Coty drugstore cheapie. 🙁

I expected something along the lines of dulce de leche…vanilla, sugary, and caramel. Instead I smelled vanilla extract, urine, and something moldy. My little bottle looks older, but I don’t know if I want to buy another to see if it’s really as bad as it smells.

I really like this one, too. It waifs onto my skin and becomes a lovely ambery smell. Its one of those cheap scents, that prove not to be cheap smelling. Not one of my favs, but, one i like to ware every so often.

Wow! im so surprised everyone so far seems to hate this. Its beautiful! Im a gourmand/vanilla LOVER – I have owned and tried so many vanillas, my all time fave being The Body Shops discontinued vanilla oil – which I have stockpiled several bottles of. This is quite sweet, yes, but its just a gorgeous caramel vanilla, with just a tiny hint of something else. The amber lends it a nice base of depth, without it, it would probably be too sickly syrupy sweet, but on me its not. Again, Im shocked at the other reviewers’ experiences, what a shame, this is divine on me. And my husband loves it too. Ive been buying samples of the most expensive vanillas out there (luckyscent:) and none of them so far have agreed with me quite like this one, AND the price mmmm very agreeable (ebay). The coconut and raspberry are very minor players here, they are just there in the background adding some extra dimension but certainly not obvious. Definitely a winner for me! Notes: coconut caramel vanilla amber raspberry.

I used to like this in a time when I was a sucker for vanilla-based scents, so I bought two bottles.
Now I that I have developed more of a “grown up” taste I find it cloying and cheap smelling. It is not even ultra sweet or gourmand, it just smells like the plastic that dolls are made of.
Non interesting at all.

I had this fragrance and really liked it until I tried Dark Vanilla. Which it’s not in the list here. To me that one had more depth, was sweet but dark and more sexy. Dulce vanilla is more lighter and much sweeter, maybe a little too sweet.
