I’ve tried it and I wanted to wash off it from my hand. It smells like garbage water and totally horrible to me.

I am surprised by the high score of this scent. Bought it based on the reviews and for sure there are much better perfumes in the same rose-oud theme. The initial blast of spices is not very pleasant for the first hour and the oud sounds scratchy and slightly synthetic, not like real oud. In the dry down, perfume improves. The spices are toned down, the rose is velvet. The vanilla and patchouli pop up and musks rounding the edges. Even the oud is not so harsh on the nostrils during this stage.
If you want to improve this scent like a magician, you can layer it with Laylati (Afgano Puro) by the same Sospiro line. I like Laylati much more than Duetto, it is superior virtually in every aspect but if you want something really exclusive, simply put on your skin firstly Duetto and then over it Laylaty (exactly in this order, one spray of each). The combination is simply stunning, huge compliments getter, all the time people around you will ask you what are you wearing.

Wow on the projection and longevity. This is a rose, oud, vanilla beast. The other rose ouds wish they were doing it like this.

Fiorito delicatissimo, angelico, etereo, celeste, dolcemente legnoso.
Rose bianche, gelsomini e ylang-ylang diafani e sospesi su muschi e sandalo lievissimi.

It’s montale black aoud, but the vanille and sandalwood made it smoother in someway. Amber note is obvious and sweet

Oh I like Duetto! I tried it two times and managed to get a small vial.
Crazily priced but at least there is stuff here. Lots of stuff and concentrated. It lasts ages on skin and fabrics.
Duetto for me is right into a Middle eastern type of perfume, a cross between Montale and Amouage styles. An oriental-floral rather than a chypre.
I smell the eastern rose and a blend of notes I cannot tell. This smells heavenly for me, very romantic and very intriguing, conjuring up images of an idylle in exotical land. Must be the marketing, ok, but I would love to wear this personally and own a fb.
Very powerful, big sillage and lasting power.
I said crazily priced. I never know if they are worthy their price, but for sure it doesn’t smell like any other perfume around.
The bottle is also very eastern and IMO on the edge of tackyness, but the velvet is pleasant.
    My bf totally disliked it.

My initial reaction to Sospiro Duetto was that it smacked of some of the Montale rose-oud perfumes. However, within a couple of minutes, the raw wood quality really started coming through, along with the pink pepper, and suddenly I was reminded much more of Lalique Perles de Lalique. It took me some time to figure Perles de Lalique out, and by now I have decided that I like it, but I have never really believed that it is very big on the rose note which it boasts.
Here, too, in Duetto, I find the composition to be more of an oriental woody than a floral chypre. Think: Perles de Lalique plus a hefty dose of oud. The patchouli is much lighter than the wood and the rose is much lighter than the pepper. I rather like this combination of notes and continue to wonder why it has been designated for women rather than being unisex, which it clearly is–if not more masculine than feminine.
I recommend this perfume for testing by those who like strong woody fragrances, but I will not be pursuing the superexpensive Duetto–I already have a bottle of Perles de Lalique and the mood to wear it strikes only occasionally.

Well, this man totally loves this work of art. This is at the top of my list. The scent is dirty and beautiful where the rose doesn’t get in your face. Its typical for a nose to put Aoud with some type of rose, but I’m so glad that the rose in Duetto is deep and dark and lets the rest of the notes dance on my skin. I love this fragrance.

I agree with gabyvinki that this is wonderfully deep and dark. There is a definite incense quality to this with a prominent but very nice patchouli. Sandalwood, amber, musk and vanilla are supporting players to the duet at the fore. At center stage the oud and rose sing a duet at fortissimo right out of the starting gate. On drydown, Duetto is a little more wild around the edges than I expected, but it is absolutely beautiful. I can imagine this working quite well on the right man, too. This is not a fragrance I’d wear to the opera or any crowded event, as I’ve noticed it can be overwhelming to those around you even with very light application. The sillage and longevity are MASSIVE with Duetto. It is beautiful, but is almost a force of nature. For sheer volume and longevity, it is comparable to Portrait of A Lady, and their roses share a similar quality.
With this as well as nearly any other fragrance, I recommend obtaining a sample first, as this is steeply priced. For me, this will be completely worth the outlay of cash. LOVE IT.

Wonderfully deep dark chypre ambery floral. The quality is Amouage-like and it lasts and lasts and lasts…nearly supernatural lasting power! Very complex, multilayered fragrance which nearly took my breath away! Be careful to try its so dense at first:=!
But it develops into one of the most beautiful chameleon-like scents I ve ever tested..
First the peppery spicey opening which repulsed me a little..it s so heavy.. but then after only 5 minutes it gets heavenly on my skin! A thick ambery rose emerges only getting deeper and dowery and sappy..intensified yet by the oakmoss and patchouli giving it a slight chypre character but not in a way I know from other “dry”sort of chypres. Utterly gorgeous, endlessly deep, ever changing between dark floral oriental and spicey agarwood notes ..but never overlpowering the ambery rose which is the center of this fragrance making me wanting it soo badly if not for the horrendous price tag.. ok its a perfume like density but then the big bottle of100ml..was there a 30ml bottle I really had bought it instantly..but so it s waiting if anyone will share:=) Please try this beauty, there are 2 other good ones in the series, Cappriccio and Accento!
