If anyone has both the parfum and the eau de parfum, would love to hear how they compare to each other. 🙂

If I were to modify original J’Adore by adding and subtracting to suit my taste, this is exactly what I would end up with.
Not too sharp or citrusy or soapy. A beautiful pear in the top notes settles into the heart within an hour or so, and just the right amount of subtle musk runs through every phase. Gorgeous base notes. Perfect.

I havé à 30 ml Very heavy in a glass with a stem that goes inside. It has not a spray. Under, it is written Parfum and not eau de parfum. Ref 12030.
Is that what thé majority has ? On paper, it relaye smells Pear. I havé not Try it yet.

Royal Doulton reminds me of Jean-Honore Fragonard’s ‘The Swing’ painting. It is wistful and delicate, encompassing a “peach and white” prettiness that comes from juicy orchard fruits, sunny florals, barely-there woods and warm amber. It’s easy-going and romantic.
My skin amps up the peach and pear notes, coupled with the smooth, sweet amber base. Narcisse is the only floral I detect, though the flower is sweet enough to be mistaken for a fruit. I detect a slight tartness, reminding me of Sauvignon blanc, while a powder facet, like old-time face makeup, rounds out each whiff.
Royal Daulton is pleasant for any occasion, but I would choose it for spring days in particular. So beautiful!

Don’t be put off by the aforementioned top notes and he categorization of this perfume as a “Floral Fruity”. Royal Doulton is not sugared and fruit-heavy like many current scents are. It is a beautiful, balanced, delicate composition that, while polite and suited to luncheons and office wear, so perfectly epitomizes classic perfume structure that I hesitate to limit it to those uses. I wore this to a wine tasting on a rainy night. It lent a gentle aura to my presence but did not interfere with the tasting for me or others in my group.
Enough about the character of Royal Doulton. The top is hard red pear lifted gently by quiet aldehydes. The heart is defined mostly by the delicate qualities of muguet, not those of indolic lily. Thee floral quality is restrained and polite. The base is a balance of musk and sandal.
The unextraordinary impression this perfume leaves, rather than an indication of it’s mediocracy, is instead homage to the skill achieved in its balanced and refined composition.

I am in the middle of my 100 ml edp and I have to admit I like it and that’s all. The correct fruity smell. And very weak, especially as for edp. Wasn’t worth trying. Just sweet cinnamon pear.

I obtained a small sample………..lovely. I definitely will be buying this! It just might replace my beloved J’Adore!

Wow… This one is in a class by itself. Radiance in a bottle… Action is right… kind of reminds me of J’Adore L’Absolu, but in a better way.
This is kind on the nose – mine and those around me aswell. Sillage about 3 feet. People will notice! And they will ask you what you’re wearing.
I love the way this is so classy without being a Chypre at all. Mild, floral and powdery, very soft. With just the right amount of sweetness that gives one a beautiful classic aura.
I got RD about a week back and I absolutely love it. Cannot believe that I’ve not heard of this or worn this before! Truly an under-rated fragrance. A must try for classic perfume lovers!

Again, an upgrade on J’Adore..it is like a sister fragrance to Celine, which is also an upgrade on J’Adore and a bit stronger than this. I love this one and Celine both!!

A lovely fruity scent without feeling like a bowl of salad. Elegant without being heavy, it has the feeling of a dressing-up without the furs. The base notes keep it from being too brightly fruity and the floral midnotes balance the fruit and oriental base notes very nicely. I like this very much.
