I’ve smelled other scent with the horrid ‘gunpowder’ note to, and they actually pull it off pretty disturbingly welll. For people ready to embrace the wild and different, if not having done so already
no,, way,,,, sorry

What a pleasant surprise this fragrance was. The name and the notes were somewhat off putting to me. I generally don’t gravitate towards the whole ‘gangster’ thing in perfumes. This is quite a beautiful fragrance. The opening is a gunpowder accord mixed with some spices such as pepper, alongside whisky and tobacco. The whisky note, which starts off quite strong and woody, slowly becomes sweeter as the whole composition settles down. what you’re left with is a smoky, sweet and very masculine fragrance that’s unique and surprisingly good. One of my favourites from this line, alongside 40 knots. Performance like all Xerjoff’s is excellent.

So it has one of the more i teresting note lists I’ve seen in a while but in reality? Meh.
Believe it or not there ARE echoes of Sospiro’s Classica in this, if classica was literally watered down. It is a passing familiarity at best and only briefly. Yes there is a cordite note in here that makes it unique, but the performance is abysmal for a xerjoff…well it’s abysmal period.
3 hours longevity and virtually no projection. The sweet whiskey note is almost like candied whiskey if that makes any sense. It’s a disappointing offering and rather forgettable frankly.
Scent: 5/10 not memorable even though it has some interesting character. No sure how they pulled that magic trick off.
Projection: 3/10 for an hour then basically nothing.
Sillage: 1/10 no train at all.
Longevity: 3/10 three hours is unacceptable at this price point.
Would I buy a full bottle: nope. Pass, but not with malice.

Xerjoff Don is a great fragrance that transports you to another era in time with its intoxicating aromas of sugar, whiskey, gunpowder and tobacco. It’s is very sweet, smoky and there is definitely a delicious whiskey note in there tempting you to stay with this fragrance until the end of the mysterious olfactory journey. A boss of a fragrance for sure that as the name suggests evokes images of walking into a bar in the 1920’s-1940’s, I’m sure you would see a Mafioso who is impeccably dressed from head to toe calmly smoking a cigar and drinking whisky. That is who and what I picture whenever I wear this fragrance.
Longevity is anything from 7-12 hours which in my eyes is excellent and projection is pretty strong too, I could detect the aroma of Don encompassing around me for quite a while. Don by the luxury house Xerjoff is truly a jewel in their crown of many jewels, and one jewel that I have the pleasure to own, and one that I enjoy wearing especially on special occasions when I’m dressed in a nice suit.
Overall, this fragrance is flawlessly blended and thought out in regards to its distinct aromas which make it a truly suave and sophisticated scent.
Bravo Xerjoff. Bravo!

With a note listing fueled by mobster stereotypes, how can this not intrigue you? This was rated all the way masculine on Luckyscent’s gender meter. Here’s what was going on in my head at the time: “I’m in a blind buying mood, i’m a manly man and i trust Luckyscent’s gender meter.” Why not take this gamble, right?” I figured, the worst that can happen is for Don to have poor longevity on my skin. I indeed gambled and purchased this on a whim. To my chagrin, this wasn’t the fragrance i envisioned and my disdain wasn’t for the reason i thought. The longevity was fine, the character of the perfume is what i bring into question. Gangster? Mobster? Don? This is more Griselda Blanco than it is Al Capone. Surprisingly, this “gangster ass fragrance” has a floral nuance that i found to be problematic like a cocaine deal gone bad. Where are the fumes from the Tommy Gun? What about the stench from the speakeasies? Can i at least get a reasonable vapor from a cuban cigar? Luckyscent had the unmitigated gal to list money as a note; no stench of cash not even a penny. So with all of this being said, what do we have here? We have a quasi-sweet, quasi-peppery, quasi-aromatic fragrance that’s suitable for any gender ages 21 and up. Yes..quasi, quasi, quasi!!!! SMH….*sighs*…Gangsters aren’t what they use to be..
