Description
New collection of limited editions of the DKNY Be Delicious fragrance (2004) for 2014 is inspired by springtime in New York and is named DKNY Be Delicious City Blossom. The collection consists of three fragrances: Urban Violet, Rooftop Peony and Empire Apple.
DKNY Be Delicious City Blossom Urban Violet conjures up the spirit of floral oasis in the heart of New York City. This “urban dream” blends notes of mandarin with delicious red apple blossom and berries in its opening. Beyond that, there are dewy petals, freesia and delicate violet placed on the base of sandalwood, musk and orris root. The fragrance provides a sensual experience ideal for spring nights.
The fragrances are available as 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

It is a pleasant discreet floral scent. Unfortunately it does not last at all on me – it is gone before it dries on my skin. 0 points for longevity.
anri13 – :
Exactly like violet candies! So delicious. Shame that the longevity is quite poor.

This is really nice. Very floral (obviously) I do tend to gravitate more towards spicy or vanilla scents so this is something a little different for me. It’s a soft sweet powdery floral. And I have to say I’m very impressed with the longevity and the sillage, which due to its $29 price tag, I was not expecting.

This is a lovely perfume!
I think it’s not as linear as some typical fruity florals although it is pretty basic powder based iris floral fragrance. I got a lot of iris and berries at the first spritz. It’s almost too sweet and like a heightened feminine berry flavored candy scent. At the same time it’s not too gourmand or youthful. It’s meant for a very grown up lady who likes to smell sweet. Powdery violet and rose, sweet apple blossom, citrus, sandalwood.
Great for a night out with other girl friends. I think if a male were to smell this on his girlfriend it might induce a headache. It’s heavy on the violet and the powder. Wearing this tonight with a cocktail dress in Palm Beach where I’m performing in a gig. Very feminine and delicious. There’s also a fair projection and sillage. I’ve been receiving compliments on it all evening.
Very nice.

I just gave it a try at the store today
I’m gonna say its one of the BEST reformulations of the DKNY apples
For it doesn’t have that sharp bitterness of the cucumber
The dry down is so clean & crisp ( I like that )
I used to have a freesia scented shampoo that gave that clean fresh scent to my hair
I bet that’s one of the perfumes that will stay fresh in hot days unlike most female fragrances
and not to mention purple is my favorite color 🙂
Well done with that edition DKNY

I tried this on impulse, without looking at the name. I have to say I find it quite lovely. More freesia than violet, which is fine by me as I love freesia. The violet note is light and watery, abit candied. The apple blossom is very pretty too, I prefer it to the sharp green apple of the original. The fruitiness is just the right amount (not too much), and the scent is crisp, cool, and feminine, perfect for warm days and office wear. Very nice. For those (like me) who prefer their violets mild, fresh and carefree. Sillage is soft-moderate and longevity is quite good for a light scent (7 hours on my skin).

I just picked this up on offer in Boots. I tested out this and the green version. At first the both smelt very similar to the original Be Delicious but then after a few minutes I started noticing a difference in this one. I can smell the sour red berries and the powdery violet. I’m really enjoying it right now. It’s lasted well. Not as well as my Be Delicious used to last on me but that was a EDP not an EDT like this. All in all I’m a fan. I think it would be lovely on a crisp day in autumn with the sun shining!

This perfume is great, I love the smell, not to strong, light. I would recommend

It’s very similar to other scents from Be Delicious line. Happy, fresh, girly and summery perfume. It has a bit of shampoo undertone. And to be honest violets here smell to more like lilacs.

I soo wish it was unlimited. DKNY is always a good bet between fragrances for me. The pink one from this line doesn’t do that much but this purple gem is something I fall in love with.
Opens playful and sour. Became bubbly. Is fruity and like a shampoo with a foam. Sweet and very girly, uncomplicated. I I get apples, those sweet, juicy. Violet which smells a someone said,”candied” and soapy freesia with other fruit in the backround. I imagine romantic girl with shiny hair, courageous, more like coquette which can’t be stopped from reaching her dreams.
Funny, happy, girly, playful and all amazing.

This is very nice, I like it, it does have violet, a bit candied, warm violet in the background. The scent is overall floral, lots of freesia, the violet always in the background.
I don’t get the fruity vibe too much, it is pretty, feminine, bright, easy to wear, I dont find it watery, I just find it pretty. And easy to enjoy!!
But I will add, expect lots of flowers!!

Awful. No violet exists in this, smells like the rest of this line of fragrances from DKNY. I tried this in Boots as i saw the word ‘Violet’ in the name, what i got was anything but. Sickly, watery nothingness. If you are a fan of true violet essential oil, do yourself a favour and avoid this imposter.

Tested it today, hoping for fresh, not powdery violet. And this is it! Alluring violet fragrance, not any powder monster. At first it is very green, even if no green notes are listed. But, after a while, it is really charming, spring violet fragrance.
It is not sweet like most of my fragrances, but I like it very much anyway.
Highly recommended for spring and summer, if you like violet smell.
