Description

Diva Rose, arriving on the market this year, is a modern and light interpretation of the classic, conceived as an intoxicating bouquet of Bulgarian roses.Diva Rose represents an irresistible harmony of strong character notes with those gentle tones that give away a romantic aura. The composition opens with fresh and fruity juices of bergamot, litchi, crushed green leaves and rose petals. A flower poem of Bulgarian rose, freesia and lilac rules the heart with its spring floral harmony. The base rounds the composition with sensual amber, musk and warm woods.

The precious classic bottle keeps the shape of the original, painted in shades of pink. The perfume is available as 50 ml Eau de Parfum. Diva Rose was launched in 2011.

I like my Diva Roses a lot, but it could be less of Litchi in it. I give it a six of 10.

Oh my .. I have not had the pleasure to test the original and purchased this on a blind a couple of weeks ago , received today and eagerly ripped into what looks like legit packaging ( I purchased on a discount site that I have always been happy with )
Well the first blast wowed me lovely lovely rose .. 10 mins later I have a mish mash of nasty synthetic smell which has to be washed away so I will never know what the dry down is going to be .. to bad to sad
‘Nere mind as they say plenty other fish out there
I guess the moral to this story is “ya get what ya pay for”
Happy sniffing and review honestly , I so enjoy all of fellow Fraganticia fragrantcian reviews
May the force of the fragrance be with you

Those who called this a green rose fragrance were right on the money. The little bit of lichee type smell adds an interesting twist as well.
I love the green fresh smell with the twist of rose- rose that smells natural and not artificial or cloying.
This fragrance gets a lot of compliments, but it seems to disappear rather quickly. Contrary to what I think, when I think it is long gone, I get compliments for many hours, just like Ungaro Party which is the same way.
This is great light for summer and spring, but I also like it in winter to help me remember what I love about Spring and Summer.
Just for reference, I have sensitivities to many artificial fragrances. This one does not bother me.

I had to search for this one on eBay because I couldn’t find it anywhere else. It’s the exact same bottle as the original Diva but the color is a light pink instead of the honey amber color of the original. I was bracing myself for a very feminine powdery pink rose bouquet scent. Instead this is almost as realistic as Tea Rose by The Perfumer’s Workshop. A very lovely and real rose. It is bordering on Moroccan rose oil.
The initial spray is fruity not floral with distinct fresh bergamot orange and a little lemon. The citric notes of orange are usually well paired with any rose perfume that is any fragrance where the rose note is dominant. The orange is almost like orange blossom with green notes all around it, green leaves, bushes, highly evocative of a rose garden with many rosebushes.
The other flower notes in this perfume are taking a backseat but can be detected. There’s a heady lilac and a slightly wet aquatic white floral note of freesia. The wet garden scent is here and it makes for a good after bath splash or after shower scent. It smells best after you have showered or bathed and your pores are open. The scent lingers for a long time almost as long as original Diva. It is sweet and very floral heady and yet inoffensive and never overpowering.
At the dry down I detect amber and woodsy notes. I don’t get the musk. There’s a soapy quality to the dry down it’s warm because of the amber and blends with your skin but its quite soapy and reminiscent of a very simple rose scented soap. This is good for every day use morning and afternoon and can be worn to the office or even on a date. It’s lady like and conservative, clean, and fresh, hardly sexy or mysterious or bold. This is the opposite of original Diva which is far more brazen lady.
Love the bottle and the scent.
    Thank You Ungaro!

Diva Rose is a beautiful clean fresh floral parfum. Smell of rosebush, green, soapy, sweet. This is a feminine mature parfum for a woman who likes strong floral aroma. Is romantic, elegant, with other flowers like the lilac and the white freesia. Sometime it smell to me like a really good flower scent of shampoo. Does this come with body lotion? Smell so good after a shower. No synthetic very real and very long lasting parfum. Good for any time of year but especially for the spring and summer. A classy lady with her rose.

Very very green. My idea of rose is Rosa damascena oil from Bulgaria. I couldn’t make out any hint of rose as I know it, but I suspect I don’t know what synthetic rose is supposed to smell like.
Anyway, I like the scent, I think I would call it a VERY green floral. It has a well put together feel to it, it’s sort of savoury, as in no sugar added.
I need to add, I’ve taken this out of the cupboard since we’re having some warm weather and when I sprayed it the scent of lychee was very strong and realistic. It’s extremely refreshing in the heat, and it lasts all day. That’s impressive for a fume of this type isn’t it?
    I believe it’s discontinued. what a shame.

This is a less spicy softer soapier and easier to wear Diva by Ungaro. I love original Diva but this flanker is very nice too. The opening is citrusy and rosy. It smells just a bit like Tea Rose but only a bit with a delicious orange scent and greenness before it turns into a floral delight. Smells mainly of rose, as with all the Diva perfumes the rose is the star but there’s also white florals scents of lilac and freesia. The woodsy dry down is not too overpowering and neither is the musk. There is an ambery warmth and a clean, fresh, pristine quality like something out of Church. It smells mature too but that’s not a bad thing. Gorgeous.

the opening is a clean and light rose scent; turning a little deeper, more powdery and sweet later on. reminds me a lot of agua fresca de rosas (adolfo dominguez), slightly more intense as it dries down and with a touch of fruit (the litchi is definitely there).
wearable at all times, not only for summer or daytime, because it fades as a pure fruity rose, it can be adaptable for different situations.
very nice find! got it on discount and it’s a great addition.

OMG, I got a sample of this today and I am delighted! I was looking for not so expensive alternative of Fendi’s L’Aquarossa and Diva Rose is the answer to my prayers! For me, the two fragrances are almost identical and considering its price, DR is a great bargain!

It is in the same vein as Swarovski Aura,Burburry Body and all that rosy smells that flooded the perfume market. If you dont have the money for Body or Aura go with this one,you will not be dissapointed

Although this is a rose dominant fragrance, it is lilac that makes Diva Rose stand out from the many recent perfumes that combine a fresh rose with a juicy lychee. The lilac gives a substance, a kind of thick, redolent, heavy note, that anchors the lighter rose and lychee.
The drydown is at the amber end of the scale; a little woody, and not much musk on me. The rose is a fresh, sweet, pink, innocent kind of rose, not a sultry rose. The lychee reenforces that “dewy fresh” note. But, again, it is the lilac that really skews the composition, giving it a little vanilla, deepening the rose, and lending a slight almond nuance. In Diva Rose, seemingly light floral notes work together to enhance and deepen their impact.
The rose in particular is repeated, from different views, the rosy lychee note, the oily rose used to create the rose accord; just as the vanilla nuance in both the lychee and the lilac segue beautifully into the ambery drydrown. There is a definite progression, but subtle and gradual.
I applied this fairly lavishly early this morning, and it was still going strong twelve hours later. It actually got a little intense in late afternoon heat. I don’t much like rose soliflores, or super strong tea rose scents. This one is a little contradictory, it wears close, is fresh and light, but as Melly described so well, it clings tenaciously.

A light, fresh rose that dries down to a clean musk, with just a faint ghost of the flower lingering. A generous spray only lasts a couple of hours, but I love the top, so reapplying is a pleasure. I’m not sure why this is described as “a light interpretation of the classic” — to my nose, it bears no real resemblance to the original Diva, which is a very potent 80s-style floral chypre.

Blind buy today. A soft rose at the beginning and a soft rose later. I don’t think it’s as strong as Chloe. Also Chloe is sweeter to my nose.
This would be a good starting point if anyone is scared to jump into rose or cloying rose smells.
I think a young girl could wear this and not go heady

This was my blind buy after reading the reviews here and it was a big fail. Luckily I got it for cca 10€ for 100ml(tester). Firstly I sprayed it on paper. I smelled strong rose, like when you tear a fresh petal. It was quite satisfying, but in half hour it dried down in some unpleasant sour something. So I tried it on my skin and it was disaster. The rose vanishes very quickly and then it is like washing detergent, some green notes and rancid citruses. It makes me sick. But I have to agree with tommy-girl that the drydown is simillar to DKNY Be delicious, which I really hate and am fed up of it. I regret I didn’t respect that review. So this fragrance is for theese types fan, not for me.

I don’t know why, but I’ve been always having discomfort when I smell rosy perfume. There’s something that makes my nose to get easily tired. Fortunately, Diva Rose was not the one that makes me scared. In fact, I really enjoyed the juice.
If you’re a helpless rosy scent lover(like my cousin), you might feel that Diva Rose is not really appealing scent compared to others, since this is very light and subtle. It is a type of rosy scents, but the juice doesn’t have that typical powdery hints inside. Instead, this one has more of fresh vibes.
Sweetness wise, I don’t think this is sweet scent. At the first spritz, you will defintely have a fruity smell due to litchi, but it really fades out quickly and rose replaces its place.
If you’re not really into rosy scents’ powdery hints, then this could be a good choice to give a try. It’s not a statement scent that could make others to be impressed, but wearable by every women in any seasons so it’s quite a durable scent to have.

Oh yeah! This is really good to wear.
I’ve been away for long time and was not too busy to have my lovely shelves-crawling practice. Not that I have much around at the moment, but in a kind of drugstore shelf I found this Diva Rose. I’m old enough to remember the big statement that original Diva was back in the thise days when perfume was perfume. I’m not a fan of recent fruity baskets, over-sweet fragrances, flat moderns…
So… it was a surprise when I carefully sprayed Diva Rose from the tester: a flat modern fruity candy rose? A bland rosy water?
No, Diva Rose is actually a very well made rose-perfume. Since the beginning you smell the Rose in a simple, fresh, feminine, pure way. Not sweet, not flat, it clings to my skin softly but with determination. After a few hours it was still there lingering with complimentary notes.
All in all is a spring-summer rose, clean, not fussy, not carnal vibe, not morphing to strange smells like many rose-based perfumes in an cheap or average range. I don’t expect it to be real rose, but it’s well made, highly wearable and elegant, romantic, suitable for many occasions.

this is a very modern rose;nothing like Paris YSL,rose BVLGARI and other classic powdery head blasting rose perfumes.not even similar to Rose the one by D&G.
it’s a very delight fresh rose which reminds me of Ferre perfumes.
litchi which is my favorite fruit is well mixed with rose which soon is mixed with a little taste of other flowers.
the dry down smells very similar to GF ferre and DKNY be delicious and I can see they have so many similar notes as well.

I found this scent quite durable on me. Not generally a rose person, this scent has a delicious difference. I find the musk and bergamont to be the dominant notes and leaves a beautiful subtle waft. Not one of my favourite’s but a very pleasant suprise and has peaked my interest to look at more fragrances from Emanuel Ungaro.

This is so light it almost is not discernible. I would find it a waste of money.

This sounds exactly like what I’ve been looking for: a modern, light rose scent with some fruity notes. I just hope it isn’t powdery or overly sweet.
