An unusual mixture of mint, herbal and woody notes that is slightly masculine, but I love it. I have the soap as well and I feel so refreshed and clean after I use it.

I don’t usually think of myself as an aquatic lover but this is a lovely fragrance. Very unisex and fresh
I admit I love the mint note and wish it lasted a lot longer. The green note and marine note are definitely in it for the long haul. It has a wonderful cooling quality. It’s like sucking on a mint sweet. It is all a wonderful illusion. These notes are backed by wonderful aromatic herbal notes that are really important in this scent. They stop it becoming too much of a marine world.
I’d be lying if I said it took you on a wonderful olfactory journey. It is very linear. I don’t mind as I enjoy it as is.
    Good longevity and sillage.

Mint, something dry woody and seawater. Smells like someones hair who just swam in the ocean and basked in the sun. Lasts a long time!

The name is accurate. This smells exactly like a hippie girl I went to high school with. She wore some kind of mint (and patchouli) essential oils instead of deodorant, so she basically smelled like minty BO. She didn’t bathe regularly and her hair was always sort of oily. She was super nice, but she just smelled icky. This too, smells icky. That said, the longevity is insane. It took 6 or 7 nauseating hours to wash one spritz off of the back of my hand. I just don’t get why someone would pay to smell like this.

This is one of the greatest mint fragrances ever made in my opinion (and I’ve tried quite a few as mint is one of my favourite notes). It smells like realistic natural spearmint rather than the approximation of mint found in toothpaste, but mixed with tarragon (which smells very grassy). It is a very green herbal fragrance and leans masculine. This truly shines for me however at the gym; it makes me feel and smell minty fresh while working out and I’m a huge fan of this sensation. I think it would also be amazing in really hot weather. I do admit that this isn’t for everyone because it’s not sweet at all and is very herbal. If I had to give this fragrance a colour it would be light green mixed with white as it is very herbal and grassy yet minty at the same time. The mint note is done so beautifuly – it smells like actual spearmint leaves, and not like toothpaste. I don’t really get much lavender, neroli, sandalwood or thyme though. It’s mainly spearmint and tarragon (and I think a hint of cilantro). I have the body spray (which is far cheaper than the eau de parfum version and comes in a huge 200 ml bottle) and sillage and longevity are both incredible for a body spray and for a mint-dominant fragrance, running at over 6 hours of longevity on my skin with only 1 spray. This is one of the only fragrances I ended up getting more than one bottle of. Overall one of the best mint fragrances in my opinion and perfect for the gym.

If you are craving something unusual and herbal this will tick those boxes for you and that’s exactly the place I was in recently when I sampled this again. The composition of dirty is very interesting a sharp herbal minty opening, with a grassy quality and oakmoss and thyme which evokes dirt or at least a dirty quality, it’s hippy stuff which caught me in a good mood. This however is not regular wear for me and not even something I want in my arsenal but I’m apprecaiting the way it’s put together and the complementary notes.

I have the body spray. It really smells clean, as opposed to dirty. The dry down is very nice. The mint can be overbearing and reminiscent of toothpaste. But at the same time makes you feel so clean. Definitely unisex but leaning just a little bit on the masculine side. A woman’s body chemistry takes care of this though and makes it smell sexy after about an hour.

I have the larger body spray and also the solid version in a tin (which I use on my beard haha, Am I the only one who does that?), so the perfume might be slightly different.
I mostly spray in on my clothes not directly on my chest/skin coz for some reason it turns sour and transforms the beautiful smell into something toxic (maybe I overspray or it doesn’t work on my skin).
Anyway I REALLY love this, it’s very “alternative”. It’s not your typical perfume, it’s more like an air freshner of some sort, very fresh minty sweet yet masculine at the same time. Very friendly scent, I can’t see anyone not liking it unless you are comparing it to traditional perfumes again.
PS: My sister always says I smell like babies when I am wearing this, so not sure if it has something in common with baby powder or wipes lol

Toothpaste, sand and herbs! I’m really on the fence with that one.
When I sniffed the nozzle, I didn’t like it much. When I sprayed it on a blotter, I was like “oooh how unusual!”, then when I tried it on my skin, I thought “ok, sure, why not, this is kind of pleasant…” and then 5mn later “oh no, I don’t think so, oh this is odd, I don’t want to smell like herbal mouthwash, please no”.

  10. :

Mint that washed up on the beach. It’s quite unique and the performance is good. Not something I could see myself wearing every day. Definitely unisex, would work great for men.
This fragrance made me realize that I definitely like mint more in theory than in practice, and I like it better as more of a background player rather than the star of the show as it is in this one.

This is a seriously strong blast of mint. I like it for when I’m commuting on a hot crowded train in the summer. A few blasts of this and I don’t smell all stinky and BO – ish. It also drowns out other people’s stinky BO. I really love the fresh smell, it wakes me up. If you ever just decide “hey I want to smell like mint today” then this is the fragrance for you.

Well if this is dirty — I don’t wanna be clean!! This is perfect for this warm busy week and it smells wonderful. I feel fresh minty and a bit herbalicious :). It stays on my clothes and the next day they remind me of being at the seashore Second bottle worthy for me.
    nice!

I Like Lush a lot, but this on I really dislike. To me it smells like rotten seaweed with burned rubber. Sorry Lush.

LUSH were desperate to create a range for men and so they created a load of products with the Dirty scent about 5 or so years ago and fortunately most are still sold today, including the Dirty Fragrance.
Lavender, Mint, Tarragon and Sandalwood all mix well to give a really fresh burst that changes to a slightly spicy and punchy scent after the first 10 minutes. To an extent I would say it works well, the smell to my nose is quite inoffensive, reasonably long lasting, youthful and “fresh”.
More a casual, daytime scent, and probably better for Spring and Summer. I could imagine guys just spraying this over themselves after finishing up at the gym.
As none of the notes in this are particularly deep or complex I don’t think it comes across as overly masculine and so women would be fine wearing this as well.
Longevity is good to great, although projection is standard. Reactions when wearing are mixed, some people really like it and others have said it’s very unpleasant.
    Overall – 8/10

On second thought: I still feel that the top and middle parts are lovely but the base is not a match at all. Together with the remaining traces of the balsamic part the result is porridge-like. And I still wonder why the Constantines (Lush perfumers) aren’t really into creating more balsamic, minty perfumes.

found this to have an overbearing resemblance to toothpaste

Dirty is interesting. It’s not really cologne-like. It’s one of those scents you’d choose when you want to smell good, but not necessarily smell perfumed in the typical sense. Despite its heavily ironic name, Dirty is fresh and clean and slightly aldehydic. It has whispers of herbal, minty, aquatics. I LOVE this on my husband year round and only like it on myself when I’m in the mood (usually super hot summer days for me)
Dirty is brilliant in its uniqueness. I don’t find it similar to anything else out there. Longevity is absolutely out of this world! 12+ hours in the dead of summer? Um, yes please! Keywords: Fresh, squeaky clean, cool, refreshing and uplifting.

The sandalwood that it – quite quickly – dries down to is absolutely not my cup of tea. I wish, however, they experimented with more ’’minty’’ fragrances by which I mean everything minty on a larger scale – anise, thyme and whatnot.

    Sentence Summary:
The simple smell of a couple of mating dolphin’s, in the skankiest part of the ocean, chewing peppermint gum to get rid of their halitosis breath.

If you’re looking for something thats not run of the mill. This is it. Its a refreshing change from the sweet/ celebrity/ gourmand/ vanilla fragrances flooding the shelves. It certainly stands out from the crowd. I’ve been using the Dirty Massage Bar for a while now. After a shower, its a good base for layering with perfume. I recently got the Dirty Fragrance and I am not disappointed. It starts with a Minty/ Lavender blast. The Tarragon is definitely present but the dry down is where it shines. It takes on a warm yumminess thanks to the Sandalwood and Neroli. I have had fun layering it with a floral perfume or something with a little sweetness. Today I’m wearing Lush with Eclat d’Arpège Lanvin for women and it smells beautiful. Yesterday I layered it with Teo Cabanel Lace Garden. Gorgeous. Just don’t overspray Dirty… It can overpower everything else in its vicinity. A little goes a long way and adds a little mystery. Its not terribly sophisticated – its not for everyone – but its different enough to have a little fun with. If you want to ease in with this – Try out the Dirty Massage Bar first, a subtler option. Great for layering.

Dirty?!? In fact, it does smell a bit like a beach in the morning full of sea grass, and a bit like toothpaste, but all in all, it’s really more fresh than dirty… I know a lot of fragrances which are filthy and sexy, but this one is certainly neither filthy nor sexy. It’s not easy to evaluate. It is original, not really like a fragrance, but interesting and pleasing nevertheless.

DIRTY caters to the male audience but I find it to be a wonderful unisex scent. It is the scent of a wide range of products in the LUSH line, and my personal experience was with the shower gel and the bar soap.
This scent lasts all day, well over ten hours. A true long-lasting fragrance, this scent is masculine and yet light enough for women to comfortably wear. It’s perfect for the summer heat and keeps you feeling cool even in 90+ degrees. It’s like walking in a forest after it rains, damp and earthy but fresh and crisp.
Initially you smell only mint and a touch of neroli and violet. At drydown you suddenly get a strong oakmoss that makes the smell reminiscent of petrichor. This is the profile that lasts throughout the rest of the day. I personally won’t buy LUSH products anymore after finding out their “natural and organic” ingredients are not really all that natural or organic, but if you don’t mind that then this scent is a must-have for people who like cool fragrances.

A green pelagos is probably the best description of Dirty. This was proposed to me as a fun-fragrance. The short you take on vacation. So I tried it and bought the solid perfume. However, by wearing it came off as a very well made composition that opens with tart mint, followed by herbs de Provence (thyme, lavender et.al.) ending with an absolutely brilliant and incredibly long-lasting drydown of moss and sandalwood.
The fragrance has a superb aromatic marine smell powered up by herbs. It reminds those summer days on some Greek island when we were waking up in the morning to go to the beach. There is a dewiness at this hour and the moment we were descending towards the coast although still far away from the water you could smell the sea blended with the herbs around you. This smell was refreshing but intimidating. This is the experience I get from Dirty, a reinvigorating but alarming odor of a fresh-green marine accord.
    Strongly recommended.

It is either a men’s product, or a toothpaste of sort comes to mind when I smelled this fragrance. Blame it on ‘mint’ as a common ingredient in toothpaste. Not a good fragrance if you don’t want to smell like toothpaste

  25. :

At first I smell fresh lavender. Unfortunately, not for long. After that, it smells salty and minty.
Have you ever gone for a swim early in the morning, the first thing after getting up, while your mouth is still toothpaste-minty? And then the sea water gets into your mouth, you know that taste?
Well, that’s what my solid smells like, smeared on my skin.

Dirty hit the market in 2011, as part of the line of fragrances called “Greatest Hits”, which brought some creations of the former perfume’s division known as B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful.
This review is for the Body Spray version, containing 200ml and in Eau de Toilette concentration (it has the same composition of EDP). Its bottle is produced with recycled plastic and the spray is quite generous.
This body fragrance is part of the most complete line of LUSH, which was created especially to cater to the male audience. For this reason, the fragrance of the products of the Dirty line gathers freshness and masculinity through herbal and woody notes. The range of products includes massage bar, solid perfume, soaps, hair cream, shaving cream, shower gel and also dental tablets.
In the composition of the liquid perfumes were combined essential oils of Spearmint, sandalwood, neroli and tarragon; also lavender absolute and thyme absolute, as well as chemical compounds such as Farnesol and Geraniol (which enhance the floral aspect), Eugenol (clove oil) and Linalool (which gives sweet-floral aroma).
Dirty is minty, balsamic and filled with herbal nuances. It has a cold characteristic, like the feeling left by some toothpastes.
On the skin, plays with scents already known by several men, as ointments against bruises, antiseptic sprays, shaving foams, etc. Perhaps, that is why it is so attractive to the male consumer. Still, I can’t forget those chewing gums from childhood, with mint taste and peculiar smell.
But Dirty is more than that! The tarragon has an anise nuance, while the thyme gives an aspect of camphor. And both carry many herbal facets. The absolute of lavender is sweeter than the essential oil and the Sandalwood here is smooth and creamy, responsible for the woody side of the fragrance.
Dirty is, in my humble opinion, a unique scent. Among the various fragrances on the market with nuances of mint (frozen mint, spearmint, peppermint, etc.), is the only one that presents a real smell of mint, rather than just give me the sensation of minty freshness.
As part of a male line, ends up being marketed to men. But I know many women who love this smell. I don’t think it is extremely versatile, because I don’t feel the same satisfaction when I wear it on colder days. But it’s a great option for daytime use and warmer climates, including for those men that jump between environments, such as work, gym and college, for example.
Although it behaves linearly, it has monstrous projection and longevity, as is usual in the creations of Gorilla Perfume. In addition, contains no raw material of animal origin or that have been tested on animals. For that alone, is worth knowing, right?

I have a love hate relationship with Lush. I love their products but hate the fact they discontinue so many of them. This perfume has been around for a while now and I have it in the solid form. Lush are never afraid to try something new and different and this smell is very unique. I would wear this in the spring. Words I would use to describe this are : minty, herbal, green, clean and fresh. I don’t love it, unlike some other Lush smells and probably would not ever repurchase but it certainly is different and each time I smell it, I seem to get another note from it. I can imagine a lot of people not liking this at all but for me, one I am pleased to add to my small but growing collection.

  28. :

First time I wore this perfume wasn’t sure if it’s something for me. Tarragon seemed to be alien to me, at least, on my skin, not in the kitchen. 🙂
After wearing the perfume a couple of hours, I realised it is far more better than I thought. The scent has been changed on me, from a harsher aromatic minty herbal stuff to a sofisticated more lavenderish beauty AND without knowing it its sillage got to be wider and wider… and the perfume was more than recognisable on my scarf and T-shirt. One of my friends was able to detect the exact scent in the air just because I put my scarf on standing right next to her.
So, sillage and longevity are totally OK, fragrance is natural and complex.
I can just recommend to try new scents, even weird ones 🙂 to everyone because the result can be surprising. 🙂

Dirty tooth paste. Smells nice but like a product smell snd not so much a perfume. The end

  30. :

Just mint, mint and more mint. A splash of toothpaste and chewing gum juice all over your body. Funny, childish and playful

  31. :

I would say this is a Male scent not shared. Actually really love this scent it’s clean and kind of unique. I use it as my lazy day scent if I’m puttering around the house with nothing but a trip to Walmart on the books I’ll put it on. Do mix it into my rotation once a blue moon and people do seem to notice it.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

There is a body spray version of this product that works just as well for a more affordable price (and much larger quantity). The top note is mostly spearmint and the drydown of oakmoss, tarragon, and sandalwood is fantastic. What is most impressive about this product is the silage and the longevity which I would rate both at 10/10. You can smell this from meters away without being an offensive scent and I’ve smelled this on my clothing even for a week after using it. Really a nice clean scent that you can wear daily.

  33. :

This is a really interesting fragrance…the only notes that I can really decipher are the mint and lavender, they are definitely very prominent (but I can smell that there are other things there as well).
My partner hates this unfortunately so I guess I’m going to have to find some other perfume to help me deal with this hot summer…

  34. :

    3 out of 5

This has lots of things I love in it and something tricky – lavender. It is not tricky in this, not prominent or overpowering. It is lovely, blended well like in Eau Noire and Bvlgari The Bleu. This is soooo good. Imagine crushing up a huge pile of spearmint sweets and then rolling in the powder. This pretty much sums up Dirty for me. No, I know, it is not quite that simple, but the drydown basically is powdery mint. Gert lush powdery mint. And it does not just poof and disappear like most fresh, minty things, it lasts and lasts. I love Lush, enough said…

  35. :

Wow!!! I love this perfume so much (I’m talking about the body spray). This is the smell of baby powder for grown ups! Initial blast of Mint, then settles down to sandalwood musky base notes which lasts all day. Love it!!!

  36. :

    5 out of 5

Minty-musky-powdery. Very fresh and the antithesis of Dirty.
The body spray version lasts for literally the whole day and will project comfortably for 6-8 hours – and that’s just with half a spray!
Sometimes reminds me of baby powder and then veers masculine. The dry down is excellent.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

Okay, this is fun! Dirty doesn’t smell dirty at all, but I guess that is the joke. This perfume is straight up spearmint bubblegum on my skin, maybe there’s a hint of some herbs, maybe some lavender. The scent evolves a little, it goes softer in the end as the sandalwood comes up. The staying power is surprisingly good, few hours on me.
It’s masculine, in a way, but still not. I think anyone can wear it. It’s fresh and refreshing.
It reminds me of childhood and eating a lot of gum. The best thing was to take a huge bunch of gum and chew it till your jaws got sore. Fun, definitely fun!

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Finally a mint scent a woman can wear that doesn`t mell like sugared gum. Dirty is actually a very clean and refreshing scent. The mint and other herbs have a very earthy, chopping up fresh herbs you picked from the garden sort of way. It’s nice to have something herbal that is not too masculine. It’s a great unisex scent, extremely invigorating — great for waking up in the morning if you don’t like citrus scents.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

This was bought blind after so many of you guys recommended it to me as a minty fragrance.
It just doesn’t work for me at all, I don’t smell mint, all I can smell is this strange, sweet
weird note which makes me feel a bit sick.
I really can’t convey the notes as I don’t recognise them but I can say that there is a woody but herbal element which I just can’t come to terms with.
This will be my last Lush buy for a while, it’s just not to my taste.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

Ironically, this is a very ‘clean’ fragrance! There’s a nice hint of mint you get when you take a sniff from the bottle, and it’s something that wafts in and out of the fragrance in varying degrees throughout the time it’s worn. When first applied, there’s this strong blast of something that my nose seems to not even be able to translate yet. It’s sort of candy-ish. Thankfully, that particular aspect fades quickly. Behind that mint is a bouquet of herbs and a touch of sandalwood that, when combined, turns into a sort of typical ‘fresh’ or ‘sporty’ cologne accord. So essentially, on me, this is like a fresh/sporty cologne with a minty twist. Not the most original thing ever, but it was only 14 bucks (I got the 10 ml oil dropper), and it’s certainly not disagreeable. After a few hours, the scent becomes softer and calmer, but still very much present. As other people have said, this is a long lasting perfume with a surprising amount of sillage (for me, at any rate).

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Opens up with herbal sandalwood. Dry down is all about mint, lavender and thyme for me.
Well executed inexpensive fragrance. You can really pick up all the ingredient listed. Horrible name for such a clear, bright fragrance. Or it’s saying “Put me on when you’re feeling filthy!”? 🙂
    Big like for me!

  42. :

    5 out of 5

I have the body spray which could be called edc, or, considering today’s watered down standards, even edt.
I love the name Dirty but this could also be called Wake Up Call. You spray it on and it’s so refreshing you get a huge dose of pleasant wakefulness even when you’re very tired. I like the abundance of natural oils in this. One can say it smells like spearmint gum or toothpaste but I would rather say mint gums and toothpastes smell like mint and this smells like mint, and then other herbs too. Good for refreshment, and you get a huge bottle of a powerful spray.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Nothing dirty about it but it’s the best mint frag I have tried. Very long lasting with great silage. It’s mostly mint with some lavender and thyme. I don’t detect any woods which is a bit boggling when considering how long this lasts. I have Vanillary which I also love and a decant of BOG that I will try soon. Lush is a house that I need to try more of!

  44. :

    3 out of 5

I just layered Lush Dirty (solid) and Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange (solid) and the effect is amazing. If you like citrus-aromatics try using Dirty to add complexity to your summer citruses. The combo is refreshing yet sophisticated and the scent profile is like a classic, unisex European summer cologne.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

For the perfume EDP not the solid
Minty, Fresh, Earthy. The spearmint is bright and real. It’s not that fake gum and toothpaste mint but a bright, fresh, “I just bruised a mint leaf between my fingers” mint. The mix of oakmoss and sandalwood give it a nice earthy feel and there is a slightly herbal edge from the thyme and a sweetness from the tarragon. I really like it. It’s different and fun.
Like all Gorilla perfumes the sillage is nuclear and it lasts forever.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

I have the body spray of this and was blown away by how long-lasting it was. I could catch whiffs of it up to 8 hours later. It felt really refreshing spraying it on, I imagine I would love it during the summer. Notes dominant on me are mint and lavender which I both love. I also used the vanillary solid perfume (also by Lush) on my pulse points and the combo smelled really good. Surprisingly, the body spray outlasted the solid perfume! I can’t comment on the perfume, but I think the body spray would work on both men and women.

  47. :

    5 out of 5

Dirty by Lush is simply the perfume you should go for if you’re looking for the smell of mint. Which is ironic, since mint is everything but dirty.
As many reviewers said, it reminds a bit of toothpaste or even mint bubblegum. Which isn’t necessarily bad.
It starts of incredibly strong, a bit off-putting at the beggining, I must admit. I can definitely detect mostly the mint and the tarragon, which end up eventually being the main notes in here.
As it dries down, it gets much less sharp and pungent then on the opening, which I have to admit not to be a fan. It gets creamier and creamier and I absolutely love the overall minty green herbal dry down of this one. The oakmoss and sandalwood give it more depth. It’s unusual and magnificient at this stage.
It lasts (and when I say this, I really mean it) FOREVER. It’s THE strongest fresh perfume I’ve ever experienced, no doubt. And the sillage is absolutely impressive as well, even when it dries down. And although it’s a bit too much in the beggining, it doesn’t bother at all afterwards.
So if you have problems with longevity on fresh perfumes, this one is a great option for you to test.
    I love it.
    Thank you kikilove 🙂

I blind bought it based on the review. It smells like cooking herbs … this I would not consider a fragrance at all … very very disappointed

The body spray version of this is the best. Pure minty-fresh heaven. Great for summer days or nights, spritz all over a hot body and feel the cooling sensation… just fab!
The EDP and EDT are good but i prefer the body spray.

My son received a bottle of this for Christmas. It smells nice and very clean, but if you were a parent in the 90’s, it smells like a baby product. I think I have narrowed it down to Luvs Diapers. There was a sharp scent used in the powder and that is the same smell in this cologne. Again, not a bad thing, if you didn’t have a baby in the 90’s or spend time with babies in the 90’s, it is a clean scent!

  51. :

Just bizarre. And not just the “ironic” name. It’s herb garden meets Wrigleys mint chewing gum. Would make a nice summer cocktail, not cologne.

  52. :

I tried everything in the Lush shop and kept coming back to this one. Completely unique. I love the mix of spearmint, lavender and sandalwood and the drydown is beautiful neroli which is clean and sweet.
You feel like you’ve just walked out of the shower and you smell delicious. Ladies if ‘Christian Grey’ had a smell then this is it, ‘Dirty’ being quite an appropriate name!! 🙂 Although the smell is very far from dirty, more sparkling clean and ready for action! It’s quite addictive.

  53. :

    4 out of 5

Ironic that this fragrance is called ‘dirty’ because really it’s such a clean smell. For me it smells like minty, herbal, soap. The opening is excellent, it’s a very invigorating mint blast. It smells a little toothpastey, but i quite enjoy it. The notes underneath are not as good as the opening but still quite nice. They drydown is very soapy and herbal.
Whoever said that there is play-doh notes in the drydown is absolutely right – it’s not an artificial smell, it’s just very strange.
Overall I really like Dirty. The only problem for me is the bottle size and price. Lush could only sell me a tiny 30ml bottle and it wasn’t exactly cheap.

I bought this at the end of 2012 because it was the scent I most liked at the time out of the 12 or so they had in stock. I loved it because it smelled yummy and clean. I could smell the lavender, wintergreen and tarragon. For me it was very complex and I could discern the many oils in it all at once, very spicy but the wintergreen cools it down. This would be very good to use at the gym or throughout the day. Refreshing on the skin as it tingles a bit. I had one friend say it smelled like babies. I never got that at all. I would say if you are not into complex scents avoid this as you might agree with my friend. If you are more a “nose” or recognize multiple notes, then get this! Delicious lavender, fresh wintergreen bottomed with all of the other notes which add spiciness. Was my signature for a few months until I just wanted something new (I tend to do that).

    Tested today.
Very minty and herbal at the beginning.
The drydown, at least on me, smells very dry and earthy, with hints of a creamyness, some kind of “play doh” smell.
Works good as a daily fragrance, very masculine, doesn’t smell mainstream.

Test it today, in the beginning very minty and strong!! after a while it smells like the hair gel from the Dirty line.
I ask a friend if he liked it… he said: it smells like a typical hand soap that you used in the toilet or bathroom 😀 😛 hahhahaha, he said: don’t buy but use your handsoap 😀 hahahhaha.
I stick with the hair gel and used something else 🙂

This is a testament to the longevity of this….. when my ex and I went separate ways in Match 2011, she bought me a teddy thing and sprayed a spray of Dirty on it for me (it was an amicable split)
2 years and 3 months later I can still smell it on the teddy.
This is probably the most unique ‘fresh’ scent I’ve ever smelt, overdose of thick spearmint, it’s gorgeous and does what it says on the tin.

I originally bought this for my husband, who is pretty indifferent to fragrance these days (he used to bathe in Cool Water in the early 90s, but has given up as he’s grown older). I wear it occasionally; we have it in both the solid and the smaller spray.
Top notes are a very powerful, wet spearmint, with some other aromatics thrown in (tarragon, thyme). The mint comes off the spray pretty quickly, leaving a pretty muddled mix of the middle and base: deeper aromatics like tarragon, thyme, a bit of neroli, not much lavender; much stronger sandalwood and oakmoss. As I said, the separation isn’t great, which is a plus, I suppose, if you want to smell the same all day, but on me it just doesn’t evolve.
The solid has a stronger topnote of tarragon, which makes it fresh longer, but it still is a bit muddy. It’s a different, cheap and cheerful unisex aromatic fougere that doesn’t smell like other men’s fragrances.

Sexy, seductive perfume, but not an every day scent, or else it could become ‘annoying’ if you get what I mean

@Bearbearina you should try Heeley Menthe Fraiche, which is miny with a little citrus…very fresh. Or maybe Creed selection Verte, IMO better but more citrus in with the mint.
As for Lush Dirty, tried this today after reading so many good reviews….and I get minty ‘play-dough’, or the recurring theme of used toothbrush.
Nowhere near as fresh as I’d expected, this one is off my ‘to buy’ list!

    Yuck. Just, yuck.
I am looking for a nice, crisp, cool, minty fragrance to wear in this hot and incredibly humid summer. Lush Dirty was highly recommended by people on the forums so I went straight to Lush to try it out.
The first 30 seconds after I sprayed it on myself was exactly what I was looking for! It was a nice, crisp, refreshing mint that did not have a sugary undertone which would have been cloying in the summer. I thought: perfect!
But less than 5 minutes later, the smell of mint had disappeared completely and left behind a very strong musk that goes straight up your nose and into your head.
    The worst part is

Dirty Lush
