This is a pleasant surprise! Who would have thought that the notes described could create a paradise? Glacial freshness, Arctic! It gives that feeling of wearing something linear, clean, I would dare to say Puro. Fortunately, sandalwood is not as evident as pepper! Here we talk about exceptionally well-worked flowers, trees and fruits.
I would have changed the name because in my opinion does not qualify anything but I do not make a story for a name 🙂
    Weakness: Persistence
    Rating: 7.5 / 10

I don’t know why, but this smells like rotting fruit to me. It reminds me of the fruit market in my hometown. If I can compare it to anything, it smells like a fruit salad you’ve prepared two days ago and that you forgot outside the fridge. Sad, because I would have liked it otherwise.

I went to a PX back in 2009 with my girlfriend to buy me a new scent. The fragrance department employee sold me this as unisex, so I believed her. I wore it all the time because I loved it. It does smell 100% girly. It’s perfume, not cologne. So what? I’m a God-designed female liker. Who will sue me for smelling like a girl?
I just got a tester bottle from a December 2017 batch and it smells as nice as I remember, although back then, I didn’t have a trained nose. I had an average consumer, “wow, that smells awesome” nose. I do get why a lot of people hate this fragrance, though. I really do. But it’s my thing. I’ve never smelled anything like it.
It hits the spot for me no matter how loud, how synthetic and how “immature” it smells. One spray is enough for me to enjoy it on myself for hours. A lot of people say it’s weak, but in my case these two times in a nine year span, it’s one of the most potent and long-lasting juices I’ve ever owned. Did they reformulate it? I’m sure they did, but it still smells like the juice I owned from mid-2009 to mid-2012.
Thanks for reading and God bless you!

I started wearing this in my early twenties and thought I struck gold when I discovered that layering L’Imperatrice over certain musky florals was a killer combo. I’d gotten so used to wearing it as an enhancer that on its own it felt like something was missing. Years later I bought another bottle only this time I would wear it alone. I thought I missed it.
The thing is, it is a unique and refreshing fun scent especially for it being a fruity one. Nothing else smells quite like it. But here’s my problem… Amidst the tart, juicy fruitiness is an underlying scent of stale booze or fermented fruit! It’s like it wants to keep its firm, juicy sweetness but the fruits are rotting away and suddenly it smells like a tub of spiked fruit that’s been sitting in the heat too long.
It’s always been just near a perfect fruity scent for me. I didn’t wanna let it go because a lot of good memories are attached to it, but I don’t want to smell like yesterday’s party. I am envious of those of you who experience this scent without the staleness of beer.
Edit: I wrote this review before scrollong down to read others and interestingly lilsockmonkey has nearly my identical vision and experience of this! Glad I’m not alone on this one!

Banana! Thats the FIRST thing that came to my mind.
But then I kinda started liking it. It smells like kids candy and very fruity punch.
    Not sophisticated at all.
    Not for someone mature imo.
Its a very young, summery, happy, positive and without much dept, kind of smell.
But its actually quite powerful and has pretty good sillage.
    Its unique. 🙂

Fruity sweet yet fresh scent. The watermelon is definitely most prominent. I get the comments that it smells like shampoo/shower gel, as it is very fresh and pleasant simple smell. It is doesn’t have much development (if any) and not much longevity either, I find I have to take it with me and spray during the day. But it is super nice, easy to wear summer fragrance, very relaxed and easy going and dare I say sexy. The watermelon starts smelling a bit synthetic an hour or so in, but with the stylish bottle can’t complain too much.

This is a sweet fruity perfume good for daily wear in heat it lasts about 6-8 hours depending on whether I sprayed it over body oil or lotion. Fruits of watermelon, kiwi, rhubarb I smell from start to end with no musk or other notes showing up on my skin. It is not sickeningly sweet or too young it smells like fresh fruits on my skin which I like. It was a blind buy for me and I’m glad I tried it. It doesn’t project on me beyond skin scent but on my clothes it will leave a light scent trail. Worth trying if you want an easy to wear fruity day scent for work or school no one should react badly to it.

Compliments, like never before when I use this one. This is everything good to be found in a fragrance. It,s Sophisticated, Juicy, Fresh, Clean, Sexy. And, if it works with you body’s chemistry – you’ll not even consider using amything but this stunning fragrance.Wow, Perfection!

This has absolutely no longevity on me! 🙁
The scent is enjoyable, but the rhubarb note ruins it a little bit for me.

    A perfect scent for summer..
It’s definitely fruity & sour. I love how I pick up the watermelon note, kiwi & lemontree gives it the sourness, but it’s such a PERFECT combination!!
Rhubarb is what gives the sweetness. It’s a tiny tiny tinyyy bit floral.
It’s a sexy (follow me around) perfume.
I took this one with me to Europe, it’s my holiday in a bottle❤️
Brings back sooo many unforgettable memories,
The walks to the beach at night.
The melting kiwi & watermelon ice cream..
The late night drives to lookouts,
The laughs, rolling down the windows, inhaling Europe’s breeze❤️❤️
    Cigarettes, gin & tonic, sweets…
    Definitely a compliment getter.
I need to buy my self another bottle ASAP!!
    Sillage: 4 hours.
    Longevity: 6-7 hours.

Really love this scent! Exactly what I wanted : light, fresh, sweet and fruity. Too bad the longevity and sillage is weak 🙁

  12. :

My favorite summer scent. I bought a back up. Starts with an almost icy watery note, then the kiwi is a nice alternative to citrus. I like the fact it doesn’t change much after that.

  13. :

Without knowing the notes of this fragrance, I thought I was smelling strawberries. It’s a pretty fragrance, but it doesn’t live up to its name. I was expecting a more mature scent. Too youthful and simple, in my opinion. On me, the longevity is barely moderate and the sillage is soft.

I really really don’t like this andneither did my boyfriend. I love gourmand and sweet scents but something in this gave a sour NO vibe. 🙁

I would have liked this 20 years ago, my first year of college. We wore scents like this back then a lot. Nothing new here. It´s fruity and fresh. The bad part is the nasty hairspray smell trail it leaves behind. This is not an “Imperatrice”. It´s her 14 year old pretty daughter experimenting with perfume, make up and hair.

Honestly I don’t really understand the hipe over this. Super sweet, juicy, syrupy….headachy. OK for young girls, in summer. No change over time, does not soften.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

The notes were so appealing and unusual, but this went horribly, HORRIBLY wrong on me.
This smells like the day after a wildly successful summer tiki party. Spilled Solo cups of fruity booze drying to sticky syrup on a humid morning. The smell of your rum hangover, coming through your pores. Or maybe: a flat, warm fruity beer that’s sat out too long.
I wanted it to be fresh-sweet but instead it was sickly, boozy-sweet. It smells unhealthy somehow.
    A big miss for me.

I would love this one if not for the jasmine note (and I’m not overly fond of kiwi either). I don’t know why my nose zeroes in on jasmine and interprets it in such an unpleasant way, but it does and there are few perfumes with that note that I can even tolerate, let alone actually wear. Sure would like to see a Fragrantica write up that focuses on jasmine scents for jasmine/white floral haters, LOL! Actually, though, I don’t hate jasmine or white flowers, my nose just has this tendency to pick up the worst nuances such as the indolic quality of jasmine or the ‘meaty’ near rottenness of lily. It’s like my nose just has to go all the way down deep and get to the worst part and then I can’t ‘unsmell’ it! 🙂

Got tons of backups, love it!!! So sad it’s been discontinued. How could such a perfect scent been discontinued…… very sad… every time I smell it, I feel happy and definitely lift me up!

I don’t like this. I saw Jeremy fragrance review this as no.1 spring fragrance i think of 2017. He did also mention it was a bit synthetic and i agree. anyone wanna swap with me?

I really wanted to love this but I had to scrub it off after a couple hours. It was just too ozonic and these kind of scents can cause nausea for me. So many people talk about this one!

I’m falling in love with this one omg !! The watermelon and kiwi are so good together!! I reach for this on sunny days, because it just meshes well with the heat. Longevity and sillage is good on me too.

I’m not sure why but this smells almost identical to Johnsons baby cologne: summer swing. Very sure of it cause I’ve been using this cologne during my school days before owning any perfumes. But it dries down so fast on my skin to that musky and sandalwood scent. I prefer to spray it on my clothes. Not much impressed by the blind buy but the scent does bring me back to school days.

I usually despise every fruity scent on the market because they smell so generic. BUT this is the ONLY fruity sweet smell I’ve ever loved. I always knew about this fragrance and always gravitated towards it at every Sephora, but couldn’t ever get myself to purchase it. I did finally get my hands on it a month ago and I am in loveeee. It is not your average fruity perfume. It has a clean aquatic twist. NOT overly or immaturely sweet. This is very womanly and feminine. I describe it as rather exotic too- it has this very faint sour kick, but in the best way. No wonder so many women adore this scent. I am so glad I own it.

I really loved this fragrance, wore it off/on for 6+ years. It took me that long to get through the bottle. Such a beautiful fruity/woodsy scent on me. I swear I got a grapefruit note. Staying power on me was quite nice, although I really didn’t expect it to be a powerhouse. It holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first Christmas gift my now husband gave me.

This perfume for me was known as the one I associated with beautiful Charleston nights in the summertime. One of my roommates in college was one of those “it” girls wherever she went, and this was her perfume of choice at all times. I never really thought to ask her what it was until I had moved away from Charleston. Then, it was like I needed this scent back in my life. To me, it is young, beautiful, enticing, and clean. Everything a girl could want. The only downfall is the sillage and longevity are both limited. I was this could be made into an intense version, because it would definitely be mine.

This is a hit among my friends and family. Some people love it, most like it and I don’t think I know anyone who would hate it. It’s hard to hate it, because there is nothing offensive about it. It’s sweet, but not heavy, suffocating sweet. It’s fresh, but not boring citrus fresh. Components don’t seem so interesting when you look at it – just a bunch of fruits and standard additions like musk. But somehow it manages to be one of the most youthful, refreshing fragrance I know.

L’Imperatrice tried to reel me in with its scent like pink guava but the afterwards synthetic scents let me down quite badly.

  32. :

I like the watermelon freshness of this, but there are also some very strong synthetic and boozy notes that just doesn’t go away and that really puts me off.

Ulta’s in store description includes Papaya, which I agree with. This is so wonderful and quenching like agua fresca. I love wearing this on cool crisp days, because when this scent mixes with a cool breeze it really comes to life, give it a try. I do wish it lasted longer.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

I love this!!!!!! However, longevity and sillage are weak.

  35. :

This one breaks my heart. I’ve been reluctant to review it because it was a gift from my best friend, and sadly it’s in a category of perfumes I loathe: overly sweet fruit. Nothing smells natural, it’s a synthetic mess and it smells like a typical cheap department store perfume.
Edit: I gave this back to my friend because she loves it.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

This is really pretty…not groundbreaking or amazing…just fresh and clean smelling. The watermelon is really upfront and the kiwi and rhubarb are not far behind. It settles quickly into something a little musky and slightly powdery. It is perfect for spring, and it uplifting for sure. I like the simplicity of the bottle and the color of the juice…it is all very congruent. I got this as a discounted price…and I am glad I did because the sillage is just “meh”, but I will put this in my rotation.

I am a huge fan of this fragrance!! I saw a review of this perfume on YouTube and as I own The One by Dolce & Gabbana which was gifted to me I was not really into the scent. So when I saw how much the youtuber raved about this one I thought I’ll check it out. It was not easy to find but I managed to find a store and they had only one in stock. According to the SA this one flies off the shelves when in stock so I was lucky to be there to sample it and I GOT HOOKED!!!! The scent is sweet but a slightest hint of floral and a freshness to the notes. My everyday scent was Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet (still one of my favourites) but 3 L’Imperatrice is now my go to fragrance for everyday, especially for work as it doesn’t have that headache-inducing smell and is light.
Pros: Very light and fresh to wear for everyday
Price is reasonable. Cheaper than Blooming Bouquet
Available in the 100ml bottle so you will get a lot of use longer
    Available online (see cons)
Packaging is simple and not tacky or showy
Cons: Not always available in store if you want to sample the scent (as I mentioned above)
Rumours that Dolce & Gabbana may be discontinuing this one (this is the only one left in the Anthology series that is available to buy)
Doesn’t last long as it is an eau de toilette
I recommend this fragrance if you want something sweet and floral, light, fresh and affordable. If the perfume will be discontinued then I will buy as many as I can find (and afford) so that I have backup stock.

This is a blind-buy for me, after reading so many good reviews here and on various blogs. It is indeed a successful purchase, it smells like a summer cocktail, very refreshing, sweet and pleasant. However, it smells very similar to another perfume I own, which is Oriflame – Northern Beauty. They both have a very strong melon note and they are both not so long lasting. This one is a little bit more fresh and elegant, but in the end the olfactory experience is very, very similar. I highly recommend both, but for a tight budget, you’re safe buying the Oriflame one.

Smells exactly the same as a Fructis garnier hair mask. It reminds me of summer because i put on this mask quite a lot before going to the beach. For me its a great fragrance but i wouldn’t pay that much money to smell like a drugstore hairmask.

  40. :

This is a sweet light fruity fragrance that I enjoy. I especially like to layer it over Victorias Secret Secret Crush Peony & Peach Blossom lotion. They work very well together scentwise!

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Has this been reformulated? I fell head over heels with L’Impératrice when it first came out, but somehow my bottle (which I must have bought in 2016 or so) smells a bit more…artificial than what it used to perhaps? When I wear it, it also feels a bit more sour and tends to make me a bit queasy at times, not sure if anyone experienced the same thing?
Anyway, the original one is fresh and sweet – very inoffensive. Performance is quite weak unfortunately. Something playful and fruity which should appeal to most people…unless you don’t like watermelon. In which case, really, steer clear as the note is pretty intense.

This is one of my favorite summer fragrances. I absolutely loved this at first sniff. It smells very metropolitan, like summer in Manhattan. It’s very art-gallery cool, yet charming so that it’s not too cool and kind of a people-pleaser. I get a delicious tart fruit mixture. I also get a strong peachy note, kind of like gummy peach ring candy (but in the best way!). At the end it smells like salty skin after the beach and a gentle floral note settles down, yet the sweetness of the fruit is originally there. This one is very unique among designer fragrance and I’m going to repurchase a bottle. Good longevity (8 solid hours) and weak-moderate sillage (which is perfect for a summer scent). I think it’s well suited for a younger crowd though due to its fruity nature.

  43. :

This smells extremely similar to my Ion conditioner. The conditioner is slightly less sour. It reminds me very much of a purple shampoo I used to use. Since it was so drying to my hair I always assumed that I was smelling chemicals plus an attempt at fragrance. Now I know I was smelling rhubarb, kiwi, and watermelon rind. It is very fresh and watery without having citrus. Even when the sourness lessons, it isn’t completely sweet, although at one point my mouth did water because it thought a watered down watermelon Jolly Rancher was nearby and I missed breakfast. It was completely wrong for the winter chill but I can see this as a great hair perfume for spring and summer

I’ve had this scent for years and love it and the juice was always light pink. At Ulta last week I walked by this and was shocked to see that the juice is now clear, crystal clear like water. I’m not sure what’s up with that, but just wanted to let everybody know that it was clear in the store in case they buy online and think they got a fake.

    Review from a Man:
my gf blind-buy a decant of this perfume because she interested on the notes.
when it came, i smell a blend of kiwi and watermelon (almost like sweet fruity candy) i love it from the first smell and till now is my most favorite summer (in Indonesia) of all my gf perfumes.
the sillage is moderate for me, the longevity around 3-4 hours, and the price is almost worth it for the performance and the smell that i like on my gf.
    score from me: 8.7/10

Beautiful watermelon kiwi that’s light and fresh, yet also sweet. Grown up version of the scents I loved as a teenager. This is for a fun and flirty summer day for any age to enjoy.
I’ll definitely want this for summer next year.

Watermelon. Candy water, pink candy. Unisex. Brings me to a poolside in the heat of summer. Does not last. I tried it in a Sephora store. Like the watermelon but wish it’s less candyish.
Update: I got a sample to take home and tested again. On opening, I get a tiny bit masculine vibe with the green notes. I wouldn’t call it simply “unisex” like I did before. Maybe the bottle clouded my first impression. The heart and drydown are all feminine, with a bit green. Though I can see some guys puling it off at the right occasion. (FWIW, in general I cannot stand even guys smelling like shaving cream and old spice deodorant.) My first encounter with D&G No 3 led me to seek out other watermelons. Escada Sorbetto Rosso is too syrupy and flat. Tocca Simone’s watermelon is pretty. I need to bring home a sample to test fully. For now the one spritz at the store tells me the watermelon is not the mainstay unfortunately, and secondly it may be too floral and too pretty a la Tocca. D&G No 3 is my pick for full bottle!

As everyone else said, SUPER FRUITY! I can definitely scent the kiwi and watermelon in an instant. Delicious and fun fragrance that works perfectly during daytime in spring.

Fresh, fruity, sweet but not overly sweet and Melon is quite prominent but has an edge to it. Definitely a summer/spring fragrance. Worth a sniff.

  52. :

This fragrance has been my signature for 4 years.
This perfume performs like an explosion. It’s very intense of fruits in the beginning, A mix of kiwi, plus the sourness of rhubarb and the flower notes. It’s good and quite unique, but very fruity.
Then, an hour later or so, the pepper note really shows up and turns the scent very spicy. If you have a sensitive lil nose like me and some citrus fragrances *cough* dolce&gabbanalightblue *cough* burns your nose, do not spray more than 2 sprays near your face.
The pepper note fades away softly and calms down to an unique scent of warmth, sour kiwi, sweet melon, and fresh lemon tree.
It is the perfect musky warm and fruity fresh scent but also really hard to explain, and I have smelt it for years! Go to the fragrance counter and try it on and judge for yourself. It’s a fragrance that transforms every hour1
Since its unique, I do not really get compliments wearing this, but when I do, it’s from women only.

AFTER seeing this perfume on alot of perfume collections in YouTube, I became curious on how this smells. So about a 2 weeks ago, I decided to try and smell this on the mall. In my country this perfume is hard to find. And there was only 1 mall where i saw this is available.
When i sprayed it in my wrist to smell it for the first time, I was really overwhelmed by the scent. It was nothing i have smelled before. For me this smells so unique! And i did not really love this perfume when i first smelled it. As a matter of fact i hated it. But then while walking i found myself always sniffing my wrist. I could not stop sniffing my wrist! I felt like i was low key obsessed with the scent, Even tho i kept sniffing my wrist i still persuaded my mind that i dont need to buy it because i have just recently bought Light Blue and ikept convincing myself that L’imperatrice is not as good.
But days have passed and i found myself always thinking about this damn perfume! Kept researching and reading reviews. And i became so itchy to buy this perfume. Its like I need to buy it so bad. The mall is like 4 hours away from where i live so i could not fulfill my craving to buy this perfume. Until 3 days ago, i finally bought the perfume after wanting it for 2 weeks.
I had to spray myself this perfume as soon as i got it and its so beautiful. Its one of those perfume that i know will last a long time on me and it did. To me this lasted for about 7 hours. I always get a whiff of it and i find this perfume much stronger and long lasting than Light Blue. Im so obsessed now with this perfume as it just uplifts me everytime i smell it.
Some people say this smells like “Beer” but i dont know if it is true as i have not smelled a beer. But i lowkey like that to some people they smell it as a beer. I kind if want people to think i smell like beer or something. Lol. I have been wearing it for 2 days and before i sleep on the bed at night! I just love this perfume, its so intoxicating.

    KIWI AND RHUBARB
This reminds me of a Herbal Essences or Garnier Fructis shampoo – very fruity and light. I was convinced this had grapefruit in it but I’m surprised to find it has watermelon and kiwi as the top notes. I definitely get the rhubarb note, which I’m not hugely fond of. I use this more as a post-shower body spray than anything else. I find it doesn’t last very long and the scent doesn’t develop beyond initial spray.
I love the simplicity of the packaging, very minimal. However I won’t be repurchasing. If you like punchy, tangy smelling fruit fragrances then try this.

Bought this for 35€ at a duty free shop. First off, for the price I paid I think it’s worth it. This is an unpretentious summer scent with a pretentious name. It doesn’t make me feel like a peasant when I wear it, but it certainly doesn’t give me Empress vibes. This is a watery, fruity scent that feels too warm for comfort. Imagine a humid tropical forest mixed with watermelon and you’ll have an idea of what I’m talking about. But is it unpleasant? Not at all, especially if you wear it to the beach or a summer walk with friends. Just don’t expect fireworks. The scent doesn’t evolve at all and it’s gone before you know it. Not ideal if you mean to make an impression.
In my opinion, if you enjoy this type of scent you’d be better off with an Escada. If you want a toned down version of those, this just might be up your alley.

  59. :

The Empress tarot card can symbolize fertility, abundance, motherhood, and the growth of the natural world. This perfume is a basket of gifts from Mother Nature: ripe melon and fruits, fresh green growing things, and morning dew. Its bright, clean, and appealing. My only complaint is the staying power. Just like the fleeting days of summer, it very quickly disappears.

I do get the watermelon + kiwi but then this does begin to smell like beer! At first its great, but then this becomes sweet + beer, so weird. Maybe it’s the rhuburbs?

the signature of this perfume is the sweet watermelon note. the sour rhubarb is intriguing, but also what others might register as “beer scent”. kiwi adds a tart juiciness. l’imperatrice is one of the few fruity fragrances—not fruity-floral, just fruity. white musk and pink pepper anchor the fragrance into an elegant composition. sillage is moderate and longevity is poor. as to the name, “the empress”—it’s all marketing. this isn’t regal or upper crust. it’s fresh, fruity, sparkling, youthful and joyous. the carefree child in all of us!

It’s very easy to like this fragrance, uplifting, a safe people pleaser I think. It’s a sharp fresh fruity aquatic scent. Great for spring and summer. The sourness of the rhubarb is there, a little zesty at the beginning and it is overall just pleasant. However whenever I smell this it’s very hard for me not to think of a car perfume. And probably it’s why it has got this likability, there is something that’s just so familiar in it. Or is it just me? In conclusion this perfume is nice. Not great, or super special, but nice. It’s okay.
EDIT: The dry down is beautiful! A sweet lingering comforting scent. It dries down to mellow rhubarb. Now actually really really like it.

i would say this is fruity aquatic, i smell lots of fruits and not so much flowers here. this opens very sweet and fruity, i smell very ripe watermellon and something that smells like marsmallow. it smells almost gourmand to my nose. i am not usually into sweet fruity scents, so i am a bit surprised myself that i like it. i see from the color of the bottle that it is not what i usually i would go for. anyway, i find it to be a nice and refreshing summery scent. it doesn’t smell aquatic to me, except for the “wet” feeling it has, and this is a good thing to me. i like the bottle and wanted to myself, but i just couldn’t justify the price, having in mind that summer is so short in my part of the world. i was lucky to get two nice size decants from two lovely swap partners and been enjoying the scent since. the drydown is what i love about this scent most. it gets musky, slightly fruity and slightly smoky to my nose. i love it then. it is still sweet but not marsmallow sweet anymore, it is feminine, happy, good feel scent. i am a big fan of musk, and i love it here. it gets so perfectly good at the last stage. good longevity on my skin, i smell it for about 5-6 hours, and some traces into the next morning. this is a scent that i would find suitable to use anytime (well, maybe not very formal, rather carefree and easygoing) but it is more summery than anything else to me anyway. i would probably want full bottle next summer of this beauty. i still wish it was less sweet in the opening.

There is so much love for this perfume that I just had to get a sample! The first time I tried it, it was winter and I couldn’t smell it after an hour or so. The second time I tested it, it was a very pleasant fruity (mostly watermelon and kiwi) scent and lasted on my skin for quite a few hours.
Overall I was underwhelmed by this perfume. It smells like a fruity perfume and quite honestly got on my nerves after the first couple of hours. I wouldn’t mind smelling it on others, but it’s not for me. I’m glad I sampled instead of blind-buying.

My favorite since the day it has been released. What a scent!
Fresh, fruity and fizzy. Uplifting and fresh, young and confident. This always makes me feel like and empress for sure. Confident and sexy, yet light and bright.
It reminds me of a glass of rose prosecco with rhubarb and berries. Simply amazing. A total must have!

L’Imperatrice is a very good fruity fresh summer fragrance.
The first blast is sweet watermelon, but rhubarb and kiwi join quickly. Those three fruit notes are the main notes of the fragrance. It’s refreshing summer cocktail with a hint of sourness from the rubarb and a watery melon note. It has some sweetness, but it’s more tart.
I love the fruit they chose for this one, as I love watermelon and rhubarb in general, and kiwi is somewhat original, not as overused as other fruits in perfumery. A very interesting mix.
The base consists of clean musk and a slight woody note plus the fruits. It does smell like skin after showering with a high quality fruity body wash, but I don’t think the fragrance in general smells like bodywash. Also not like Fructis shampoo!
As usual for light and fruity scents that are more pronounced on the top- and heart- than the basenotes, it doesn’t last really long. It’s a few hours for me and I’m okay with that.
L’Imperatice is ideal for cooling up in hot weather and I wouldn’t mind to spray it two or three times a day.

It reminds me of Light Blue, but it is much lighter and without that sickly sugariness. Nice clean scent, I absolutely love it!
First time I wore it my husband said he could smell gooseberries, this instantly brought me back to my childhood, when in the summer I would always help my mum pick the fruit in her garden; the jam she used to make was my favourite thing in the world, the whole house smelled of gooseberry deliciousness, this made me love this perfume even more!

Ozonic, watermelon, and something slightly peppery. Reminiscent of a hairspray my mother used to use. This is sure to be inoffensive because it’s barely there and nondescript. Love the simplistic bottle, thoug
