I got this from a Rite Aid when I was in high school. I wasn’t especially interested in the sexual connotations behind the concept, I just couldn’t believe my luck at being alive at a time in history when you could have a perfume that smelled like cupcakes AND could eat it too. First thing I did was spray the back of my hand. I remember being unimpressed by the generic vanilla plastic scent, but more hopeful for the flavor. A quick taste only caused further unhappiness. It was sweet, but chemical and filmy. I ended up bringing it to school the next day and showing a classmate in art class, who asked if she could “borrow it.” I found it a strange request but I obliged, and when she brought it back the next day the thing was 1/2 empty. I asked what happened and she said she and her boyfriend had spent the evening licking it off of each other’s no-no bits, and added that it stung a little, but her boyfriend loved it.
I was horrified. And pissed. And grossed out at the thought of what my bottle had come in contact with. I tossed it in the trash shortly thereafter.

I imagied it to smell like cupcakes but the composition is just sugar & vanilla. Disappointed

In my boyfriend’s words: This is not a cupcake I’d like to eat. It’s one of those cupcakes you can find in Japanese cafés that is most likely made of plastic.
Ouch!
There was a time when I loved and coveted this. I ordered it all the way from US after it was discontinued. I stil think it’s the cutest bottle. In fact, I recently brought it to the office to put on my desk as an eye candy. The edible quality is long gone. The scent is starting to go bad. This used to smell like fresh, buttery cupcakes you know!
Oh and on top of being very weak in longevity as previously mentioned in other reviews, it’s GONE in 5 minutes if you happen to sweat on where you sprayed it. (i.e. neck, chest) On the other hand, I think it’s good and safe for using on hair. It has less alcohol than the average fragrances, after all.

I still have bottle of this from 2007!! lol
It still smells super yummy! After the dry down my skin has the same sticky-ish feeling and its still has the lickable sweetness taste lol I’m surprised that my bottle has lasted all these years and never went bad!!!!
The lasting power on this sucks but OMG the yummy scent makes up for it lol

I got this scent when the dessert line first hit stores when I was in middle school. Back in the days of Tutti Dolci, the gourmand craze was first getting off the ground and it was huge. Jessica was really one of the first out there, and I was all over her line.
Being 12 at the time I hardly had any money, still I racked out $25 for one ounce of this cupcake perfume 4 times in a row. I finally saw it on clearance when I was 15, and to this day I have a bottle, although it’s nontraditional and just says “vanilla cupcake” with a picture of her w/o the pink cupcake on top like in here. The perfume is also a golden color. Although I know the scent forwards and backwards and it smells exactly the same.
This smells exactly like a frosted vanilla cupcake, hands down. Like completely 100% literal. The downside is that it’s sticky as all get out because it’s edible. I still like this fragrance, but the stickyness does make this a seldom wear for me. Although I am always glad I still got a bottle of this. I wear a lot at once (5 sprays) and the perfume lasts about 4 hours.

Sweet scent. But, this one is to lick on 😉 It is eatable, that is why it might feel sticky because it is sugar.

I had a bottle; it was on sale. It smelled just like candy…did not last at all. It was interesting enough though. I think this scent is perfect for little girls; I gave a bottle to my niece and she went nuts over it.

This range all smelt absolutely lovely! Very sweet and gourmand and the bottles were soo cute! However no lasting power and left a bit of a sugary sticky feeling on the skin.

me, who is like a queen of gourmand scents does not like this one or any of these in the dessert treat line. what turns me off the most is the stickiness. i don’t like that feeling on my skin at all. and while they are all very sweet smelling, it’s a fake sweet. synthetic and plastic smelling to my nose. thumbs down. sorry.. love her other line of fumes tho.

This smells heavenly! yummy! this is my fave out of all desserts treats perfumes. Smells like a cupcake!

really liked the scent of this, but it didn’t last AT ALL, none of her “dessert” line didn’t at all. I’m so glad I got them marked down on eBay. lol What a waste.
The scent(s) stayed for maybe 5 minutes, and that’s it. It was like splashing scented water on you. It had potential though. 🙁

I had this when I was twelve. I loved that it was Edible. When we walked through the stores, my mother and I, and the chemist or at Myers we would always see Jessica’s Desserts line.
I said to my mother, please, oh please let me have one, they’re edible, what a grand novelty.
My mother replied, no, dear, they are for sluts who want their boyfriends to lick the product off them in the bed.
Eventually she got me this one. I still have it, but it’s probably gone rancid by now.

I put this on my neck and than spray britney’s fantasy or jessica’s fancy on my clothes it makes it smell even better!
sirmoi – :
i liked the fact that it was edible, but it did leave my skin a bit sticky. it did however smell like a delicious cupcake! yummmmm

I really like this smell. It is a very sweet cupcake batter scent.
This is a very weird fragrance. First of all it takes a while for the fragrance to dry on the skin, even then it leaves a tacky feeling. So this lead me to believe that its….edible? I have tasted it and it is sweet, not sure if I’m suppose to taste it. 🙁 I’m not sure what to make of this product, but it smell heavenly.
