Deseo Jennifer Lopez for women of Jennifer Lopez

Share:

Description

Fragrance Deseo by Jennifer Lopez is inspired by her garden. She invited her associates from Coty to walk at night through her beautiful kingdom and capture the divine smell into a uncut diamond like shaped bottle.

The fragrance was created by Ellen A. Molner and Jim Krivda from Coty. It comes as 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.) and 100ml (3.4 fl.oz.) EDP.

The top notes bring the accords of bamboo leaf waving on the Italian breeze, Sicilian bergamot, yuzu, and charming, intensely flowery freesia notes. The heart beats with notes of star jasmine, pink gardenia, orange blossom and French mimosa. The base brings notes of musk, sandalwood, amber, oakmoss, Atlas cedar and patchouli.

The face of the fragrance is, of course, JLo, and the photographer is Peter Lindbergh. The design for the bottle photo was made by Danilo Matz and the bottle photo by John Aquino.

It is available since February 2008.

Deseo was created by Ellen Molner and Jim Krivda.

This was a discounted, blind buy for me back in 2012. I love Glow, so I didn’t hesitate because I was desperate for a new perfume, but money was tight.
It was green, unisex and bamboo at first blast. I didn’t dislike it, but it wasn’t a rave from me. Since I detest coconut or any kind overt of fruity perfumes, so I’m glad it was tempered so well because I couldn’t pick it up.
I’m also not a fan of unisex perfumes that lean more to the masculine side, but Deseo was fresh and different, not as fresh soapy-clean/musky as Glow, but very, very green. It reminded me of Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea somewhat, which I don’t like, but only just. It developed beautifully on my clothes, and worked well with the tropical climate I was living in at the time.
I was quite impressed with the diversity between JLo’s fragrances.

Idk I don’t get garden, I get powder, talc, slightly chalky. Remniscint of a Victorian lady s bedroom. Not that it’s totally bad there’s something interesting about it. But it’s far from ” fresh”. I had this year’s ago and gave it away. I will say the combination of base notes such as oakmoss and patchouli and Atlas cedar aren’t your typical celebrity composition. This is very earthy and mossy. I personally get tropical or coconut.
I think it’s a cold weather scent.I find the bottle cool if not a bit awkward to handle. If you like Tresor there’s a good chance you will like this.

To the guys out there: I loved this one so much that I bought a bottle… for myself! A man can definitely get away with wearing this, and it smells great!
It’s a little feminine, but only just. It’s mostly leafy, green, and airy. I’d put it in the same category as Comme des Garcons Amazing Green, Commodity Book, Nest Verde, and other airy, “green”, unisex scents. Give it a try if you have a chance!

Deseo was amazing project from the name and bottle till the perfume composition. Crystal bottle is gorgeous! It’s like magical stone with frozen summer heat in green/yellow colors. Just open it and you get wave of the heat, dense smell of jungle greenery and summer rain. I have used it as a room spray. It felt like I am back in childhood, sitting in our garden, watching storm clouds approaching on one side of sky and sun shining on the other. There’s time when heat is impossible and all bushes and flowers intensify their smell. But also there’s hint of wetness in the air, you can tell the rain is approaching. I can’t tell the notes apart, because they all are blended too well. Deseo is one of the most original experiences I had and I gone easily through 3 bottles. It doesn’t last long but I couldn’t resist to spray it in my room and have the summer all year round. Highly recommended to try if you can find it.

This scent isn’t really talked about and I don’t understand why. Deseo is a unique, standout fragrance. The top note of bamboo leaf threw me for a loop. I actually hadn’t sniffed this note before and it took me on a joyride.
A cruise through a far-off island, wind flowing through my hair, faint scent of citrus lingering on my fingers, enveloped by the surrounding green flora, warmed by the softness of woods and musk.
Deseo is a gem-from the shape of its bottle to the liquid that surrounds me in a distant dream.

    Sillage: moderate
    Longevity: long-lasting

This has quickly taken over my favorite fragrance to wear to bed! Normally, I love to wear tuberose or gardenia frags to bed… but this is a beautiful change of pace.
It’s so smooth and “shower fresh” without being soapy! There’s a very interesting “humid” accord. Humid isn’t ever used in a positive manner, but when I say humid I mean it in the best possible way. The next morning, my pillows/sheets just smell heavenly. It’s just ethereal!
I really need to run to eBay to buy one last bottle before this thing is gone for good!
*I left a real review in December 2016.

This is pure coconut! Maybe a bit too much but this is a great bargain so I’ll forgive it. Then again if you love coconut you’ll really enjoy this. I used to have a bottle and remember it being more pineappely like sofias temptation so I wonder if it was reformulated or not. After trying sofias I say get sofias perfume it’s like a better version of this. But I do like Deseo. I bought a new bottle today for AU$13 what a steal for a lovely fragrance.

Deseo is what I imagine a tropical storm would smell like. It begins almost unisex- warm, wet, woody and citrusy. You get definite bamboo and citrus in the top notes, and like other reviewers have said, it’s unbelievable that there’s no coconut note here. It’s a beautifully balanced coconut feel- not a sweet one, which mingles gorgeously with the floral midnotes and sexy, exotic drydown. It’s a shame this one was discontinued. I think it’s also incredibly underrated for a celebrity scent. Great longevity and sillage.
To sum it up, Deseo is NOTHING like Glow and all of its flankers. No soapiness or fruit juice here. If you’re looking for a sexy, exotic scent that’s tropical in a grown-up way, this is an absolute gem!

This is a very unique scent, definitly fresh and citrus-y, green and floral, with a musky/mossy base. The mimosa and patch follow the citrus most strongly to my nose and it’s an intriguing combination. I don’t get any of the coconut people smell in this at all. Deseo has great silage and longevity. While I don’t get the full masculine vibe I do get a slight old fashioned chypre feel. ( the oak iss and patchouli?) As usual the most out of the box scents get discontinued quickly as no one appreciates them.

It is pure witchcraft that coconut isn’t a note in this fragrance because it is definitely present! Reminds me of the air-freshener they pump in the air vents at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Faux-Tropics.

It s very sweet and almost rancid. It indeed has a coconut smell everybody´s talking about. After half an hour I dared to smell my hand again and the coconut was gone!
Than I felt a mild soapy scent that was really nice and clean and this one stayed with me for around two hours.
I think Deseo is ok for someone who likes natural scents, a young teenager who´s just started to wear perfumes.

Deseo is a such genuine fragrance, but it is overlooked due to the attached celebrity brand and celebrity brands’ target audiences – young women who want tooty-fruity-sugar-candy bombs in cute bottles.
Deseo is a beautiful, fully rounded fragrance that is bursting with sunny salicylates. The result is that of your skin after applying sun tan oil and allowing it to dry. You know the smell of the Banana Boat Tanning Oil? That’s basis of Deseo. It’s bright, warm, humid, smooth, a touch green, and just a hint of citrus. To me, it is very natural smelling. There is a very nice TAMED coconut nuance that comes and goes and never tries to be the star of Deseo (coconut is usually overpowering). Towards the end, there is a hint of a mineral accord, which actually disrupts the overall natural smell of Deseo. It makes Deseo smell slightly “perfume-y”.
It doesn’t smell like a garden in the least bit to me. I don’t get any off-putting greenness or any sweetness. Nor do I get “men’s cologne” that others have mentioned. I can’t really call this a floral – I believe the “notes” are listed to give you an idea of what you “might” be smelling. It smells like my skin after a long, fun day in hot weather at the pool and I’m getting ready to leave the pool or beach and head back home to shower and relax.
This thing is absolutely unisex and miles better than the men’s release (which is resembles a generic body spray on the first wear until you actually familiarize yourself with the accords). This is a successful blind buy for me which has become extremely rare for me these days. I’m glad to have secured a 100ml bottle now that it’s been discontinued.

This is humid tropical summer air capsuled in beautiful bottle. For so many years I kept it for aromatherapy reasons. I can feel white flowers, mimosa and bamboo. There’s something retro about it, maybe because of intense orange blossom.
    Absolutely unique!

Very masculine on my skin. Like others have mentioned, it smells of mens deodorant but thankfully settles. BUT once Deseo settles it kinda disappears.. it’s very faint.
Deseo is hard to describe, it has a zing to it, but it’s also very spicy. Tropical? Maybe, but not completely. An awesome scent for summer but it kinda has me confused, I cannot make out any notes besides maybe some Yuzu and patchouli.
I love the concept of what this is meant to smell like, Jennifer’s garden or a rainforest after a storm but on my skin it kinda just smells of a toilette version of my boyfriends deodorant. I much prefer Deseo Forever.

Hello, why isn’t coconut listed here?:) It’s the most wonderful coconut scent I’ve ever smelled – soft, fresh, not overwhelming or sickening – like most delicate coconut milk drank on a sunny beach. While I benerally hate coconut notes in perfumes on my skin, in this one I adore this note. I can also smell soft, salty breeze from the sea, driftwood, very distant, almost vague floral notes – like the wind from a garden. Amazing scent for summer, I totally want it, depsite the coconut!:)

  17. :

    5 out of 5

At first blast it has a masculine sharp fresh smell to it. Like men’s deodorants. Someone below has commented that it reminds her of her boyfriend’s Axe – I agree. After half an hour, it sweetens and settles down to something more ambery and warm.
It reminds me a lot of Hillary Duff’s ‘With love’, but this one is better in my opinion. More wearable for women in a conventional way, without that spicy note that made me gag. Too sharp and masculine smelling for my taste, I would never buy it, however I find it to be pleasant enough for those who have a taste for this kind of perfumes. It is unusual and the lasting power is quite good – half a day going strong, you’ll need to re-apply afterwards.
A guy would definitely pull this off – actually, I would find it very sexy on a young athletic guy (20s and 30s). It’s sharp and clean enough to be masculine, but warm and sweet enough to be modern and ‘huggable’.

  18. :

    3 out of 5

Warm, edible ambery notes vs. an almost marine-like soapy floral. Contradictory but well balanced, conventional notes in an unconventional arrangement. This is a likeable and wearable fragrance for very little money. Has a casual, summery vibe. I’m glad to have this in my collection.

  19. :

First notes remind me immediately of Britney’s Believe. Definitely a fruit-chouli. After a while it smells less like Believe, Deseo is much fresher and greener. The bottle and its lid are a real chore though, quite difficult to separate and spray with.

  20. :

    5 out of 5

This one to me reminds me of Cool Water, SJP Covet and Only the brave. I have a very specific taste of fragrances therefore I often mix a masculine citrus and woody man fragrance with a sweeter female one. Deseo does it all perfectly for me, it got both the female and masculine sides. It’s like a splash of a fresh drink with green leaves in wearing it in the summer. In the winter it makes me think of frosted apples and icy winds. An all-year-er but might be easily tired of it. I’ve received lots of compliments from this one.

  21. :

    3 out of 5

I absolutely love this. I really LOVE this juice. Call me crazy, but in my very strong opinion, this smells like Axe Kilo body spray and shower gel.
Yes, Deseo has a masculine vibe to it, a fresh hot out-of-the shower sensation after my boyfriend leaves the bathroom, and it’s still hot from him bathing, and his Axe shower gel fragrance is wafting about. That’s the feeling to me for the first minute or so. There is a burst of invigoration due to the citrus notes.
Then this fragrance calms down, I can feel him lay in bed and put his arms around me, that comforting feeling of knowing I’m safe and loved, while various aromas mix together with my florals, his musk with the feeling and fragrance of clean sheets on our bed as we snuggle up next to each other.
Something about this fragrance reminds me of sexuality, where masculinity and femininity harmonize so gosh darn perfect with one another, much like a rainforest, it’s just so beautiful. Adam and Eve MUST’VE told Jlo how to make this perfume, it’s just so divine.
Yes, this is what Eve must have smelled like walking around the rain forest with Adam; lush, green, mysterious and timeless. She can catch the whiffs of Adam. The patchouli (which is strong in Deseo) fuzzy oakmoss and musk.
Deseo..is just an epic masterpiece. You must buy this, and don’t sample it on a paper strip. Spray it on your wrist a FEEL the euphoria.

Juicy and refreshing. Makes me want to sip something icy cold from a tall, frosted glass.
The first time I tested this, I found it to be a ‘bit flat’. In hindsight, of course it was going to seem ‘flat’ – I’d received five or six different samples in the mail that day, and Deseo was competing for arm space with Alien, Alien Essence Absolu and the original Agent Provocateur. She didn’t have a cat in hell’s chance against those three.
Testing again this evening, I certainly get the lush, green, tropical vibe reviewers speak of, but for me, it’s less suntan lotion and beaches and more the dense, strange flora of the very depths of the jungle itself. Very moist, faintly earthy and a hint of fruity sweetness which becomes more noticeable as the top notes disappear. I also get a whisper of coconut – though it’s rather elusive and each time I think I smell it, it vanishes again!
The drydown could certainly be described as unisex, and here it becomes less overtly green and morphs into a rather elegant, yet delicate scent. Very pretty, and I imagine this would be absolute bliss spritzed on post-shower after a long, hot day at the beach. I will definitely purchase this for summer; love the little ‘sea-glass’ bottle too….

    UNUSUAL PATCHOULI
I am disappointed with Deseo. I don’t pick up the coconut scent that others on here claim. It is a clean scent but the over-powering musk and powder that appears after a few seconds on the skin does not sit well on me. There is nothing tropical about it, on my skin it smells synthetic and it disappears after an hour.
J Lo has other lovely fragrances with fantastic staying power and are less of a mess than Deseo!

This is my second time wearing this fragrance. The first time I didn’t know if I liked it or not after blind buying it. Today is a dreary, rainy/snowy day in February, and I have a slight headache so was looking for something a bit musky, and less sweet. I gave Deseo another try and so far so good. I do get a ‘beachy’ vibe, and it reminds me of suntan oil. This is a nice change from the many sweet celebrity fragrances available. Considering the price, I think this would be a fun blind buy. I took a chance and am glad 🙂

Try before buy. Something I have to tell myself all the time, haha!
Well this is not a bad perfume, but its not for me.
To me it smell’d first like potpurri – witch I hated! And then it turn’d out to a fresh kinda manly scent.
Very floral in the beginning and after some hours – kind of some citrus-fresh with a little musk. Maby it is the patchouli that I don’t like…
I’ve heard that patchouli is kinda a hate or love note.
Maby that is the case for me. HOWEVER – my mother and my sister preferred this over a perfume that I LIKE, so it’s different noses on different people ofcourse. 😉
And this isn’t a sweet perfume at all, its a fresh flower musk patchouli. Well dosen’t it sound to much? To me it is to much at least. But well…
    Scent: 2/5
    Very long lasting! And strong!

  27. :

I am not a fan of this perfume, although I haven’t gotten rid of it either…I think I occasionally put this on hoping to love it like so many others! To me, it is a very cologne-y, unisex scent…I don’t pick up with beachy vibe at all, and definitely no coconut…It smells very green and unisex to me. Someone mentioned bergamont…maybe that’s what I smell with this…anyhow, it is just not a winner for me… but I will re-visit this and re-post if I change my mind! Maybe I purchased a bad bottle of this stuff…

  28. :

This perfume was an instant favorite of mine because of its beachy vibe and hints of coconut. (Despite the fact that coconut is not in the notes, but according to other reviewsI’m not the only one who smells it.) HOWEVER, after about 6 months of owning the perfume, it started to just smell like straight up musk. It got to the point in which I couldn’t wear it anymore. I’m not sure what happened, but I was disappointed because it originally was a beautiful scent.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

This perfume is one of a kind. Deseo is really one of the most underrated celebrity scents in the market. It’s so different and not generic in any shape way or form. To me it smells like humid rainy days, when the aroma of the flowers, the smell of rain and ozone intertwine together and create that lovely nature-y smell. Its smells very comforting and relaxing to me. Something about it reminds me of the holidays and i think its appropriate for winter days. Its just all around good! Its also very unisex so fellas don’t be afraid to try It out.

This truly smells like a garden in Rome, quiet and still after a rainfall in the evening.not got got a clue about notes yet as I am still learning but this to me is sophisticated, unusual, possibly unisex and certainly not your average celebrity scent.I love it!

  31. :

This is different in a good way. For the most part I really do like Jennifer Lopez’ fragrances. I’m never one to turn my nose up at celebrity scents; I don’t care whose name is on the bottle, it’s what’s on the inside that counts in my book.
Jennifer Lopez fragrances are nothing but consistent; if you like soft, more delicate floral fruity types of compositions, you will never be let down. I must say, Deseo really surprised me. When I first sprayed it, I was surprised by how unisex it smelled off the bat, almost masculine really. On the opening, it has a very strong but fresh spicy element to it, and it kind of threw me for a loop. A few minutes later, I got a lot of Jasmine, Mimosa and Musk finished off with Oakmoss and Cedar. Personally, I am so glad there is no vanilla in this composition, and I grow weary of Patchouli bombs; however, ‘how’ the patchouli is incorporated into the heart of Deseo is really lovely.
In my opinion, Deseo is fresh, spicy, soft, warm and dreamy. If you like Jennifer Lopez fragrances, this is a wonderfully different.
    P.S. The bottle is GORGEOUS!!!!!

This is a lovely fragrance. I get coconut even though it’s not in the notes. It smells like a tropical beach on a cool crisp evening. I get a gardenia/coconut note with a sexy muskiness from the sandalwood and oakmoss. The bottle is beautiful on display. It’s a nice skin scent.

I’m wearing this now and I really like it.. It has that balance that I look for in a perfume, something that has lightness and darkness. I don’t think this is only a summer perfume but from the base notes could definitely work in the cooler months too..
I don’t smell any coconut but it does have a tropical feel too it.. Maybe a Mexican holiday feel, or Hawaiian maybe.. It’s cool today here and it’s quite comforting. Not your typical celebrity fragrance.. Smells like something Gucci could have created.. Or should have created.. It sort of reminds me of Gucci by gucci for women, not as in notes wise but the personality of it..

I first bought this when it first came out & ended up giving it away to my mum because, although I quite liked it, it gave me headaches. Now however, i have discovered a whole different side to Deseo.. I don’t know if the formulation has changed or whether it’s just my tastes/sense of smell..but I really love this..and NO headaches!!! It’s refreshing and uplifting in a “just rained on a summer’s day” kind of way.. I also think it’s perfect for day or evening (although don’t spray to heavy during the day as it lasts a good 6 – 7 hours, and the silage is pretty good too). I’m glad I gave Deseo a second chance, a definite summer staple from now on! 🙂

  36. :

This is a summer fragrance to me. Very fresh and floral. There is a slightly minty smell to this although I am not sure why as none listed. It has a fruity opening but not sweet fruit, followed by a tropical flowers in the rainforest smell finally drying down to a musk, cedar and oakmoss but still retaining some florals. It remains very fresh and clean. longevity is excellent 10 hours plus

I really didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this online. When I got it the I found the box cute but in a holiday sort of way. I love the ‘Deseo’ line for the bottles. Very summery beach rock feel to them. This is a very nice summery fragrance! I’m going to take this on holiday with me as it will smell great at night time. Very tropical and fresh after a day by the pool. This lasts a good 9 hours on my skin. Jlo your fragrances are hard to beat so keep them coming! This gets a 9/10 from me xo

Not my cup of tea, I find it almost unisex. The initial spray slightly hurt my nose. The drydown is fresh, though. Deseo smells like jungle, like a hot day in a tropical forest. A springtime frag.

Say hello to this gem! Deseo is a scent to die for! Like, the goddess of all perfumes, imo.
All the smeels blend together so perfectly and create this amazing feeling of one of those beaches that you see in resort photos that you only dream you can get to set your toes in the sand of.
What is actually quite crazy is that Deseo actually had an effect on me. Like it literally made me happy. It was euphoric on me and overwhelmed me with joy.
This is quite easily the most plesent scent I have ever used on my body. Its a lovely warmth, like exoctic warmth. It’s a refreshing cool tone, like scuba diving with fish in crystal clear see through water. This scent is just by far the best scent I have ever used.
My recommendation: Try, try, try! Its defiantly more than worth a try, so go out of your way to spray and sniff this beauty!!!

Deseo is one of my favourite perfumes. Its definitely not your average generic celebrity perfume.
Its quite bold compared to her usual clean, Fresh or fruity perfumes. Probably won’t appeal to the younger generation, as I’m in my late 20s, I think that’s why I find deseo more appealing than her other scents.
Each person will detect notes differently. Its spicy and woody. To me, upon first spray the Amber, patchouli and sandalwood are the notes that stand out. It is quite strong. After ten minutes it does settle down on the skin. It scent dosent seem to develop on me. It reminds me of Cinnamon. I don’t get the coconut scent that’s been mentioned. i dont know what bamboo smells like, but i can understand it smells a little forestry. It smells exactly like a candle i have which is patchouli amber. Ive been asked a few times what perfume im wearing. Ive also had compliments from men because its spicy and woody.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Unfortunately, patchouli ruins this for me. I bought it blind based on the reviews here and it is an interesting scent, but I cannot get over the patchouli note that makes this laundry everyone is talking about smell dirty. So disappointed 🙁

  44. :

    3 out of 5

Deseo, you have completely taken me by surprise! You’re delicious!
Deseo is laundry fresh but opens with a gentle woodiness sort of like a pine forest. The woods and the laundry fresh musk are quickly coupled by an almost pineapple/citrus-like tropical soft fruity element. Clean FRESH fluffy pastel-colored laundry hanging in the backyard with the breeze blowing through the woods surrounding your property, with a sweet tropical cocktail in hand. It’s very pretty, but it doesn’t shout or demand. Very relaxing. Projection is low, and longevity is average. There’s also a hint of something kind of like new car smell. Actually if my car smelled like this, I would be in heaven!
Deseo just smells really good, youthful and girly. It’s very well blended, and nothing sharp or plastic stands out or jabs the wearer. Good stuff. Thanks very much to 2746cstreet for my decant.

  45. :

People are so positive about this scent, so I was surprised when it was really nothing that good.
It’s fresh at first and then it turns spicy. Reminds me of salty tropic sea.
Quite green, citrusy and a little yellow floral.
A disappointment! And that bottle wasn’t pretty like in the pictures.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

This is a fresh creamy perfume, with some what seems like coconutty aftertaste. Summery, and very very light. I am comparing this with With Love by H. Duff, and the latter seems to be sharing some notes, but is much sweeter and stronger. Overall, unintrusive fresh scent, suitable for a casual day or an office environment. Those who love fresh feminine floral woody musk, will love Deseo. As opposed to some other floral woody musk, such as Lovely SJP, or NR For Her, would find Deseo much fresher. It seems to stay close to skin and may develop through the day or in the hotter weather, but this still remains to be seen for me, as it is cold Australian winter here atm.

Nice I get it. When i spray it in the air it smells good, interesting , unique, green and fresh but alas.. on my skin, well it ends up a little urine-ish which is so disappointing.. I have never worn this in the summer or hot weather – I am a little afraid to, quite frankly, bottle is lovely, scent is lovely but i am not sure what people think, will have to do a reaction test- but I don’t want to be embarrassed… so annoying when blind buys go a bit wrong 🙁
    I like it – I doooooo…but….

Deseo has two faces, for me. I already wrote a review a while ago, but now i guess my opinions changed a bit.
The first face of this fragrance appears on hot weather days. In my skin, it goes all patchouli. I can sense coconut (even if is not a real note), the woods and the amber. All surrounded by the flowers. It’s a very warm fragrance, like a hot summer night. Like a wealthy beach party, the kind of where you mix beach wear with gold jewelry.
The second face appears on fall and winter. The notes that i sense more when the weather is cold, are the citrus and the spicy notes. It’s more balanced, and a little bit greenish. It’s the same fragrance, you can tell, but the notes that stand out are different. It’s like the memory of Summer.
I don’t think it’s a go-to scent, safe blind buy and stuff. You gotta have a sniff before you buy, cause is not an usual fragrance. For some noses, the patchouli (and the coconut ghost) could be overwhelming. I really like it, but i know it’s not for everyone.
Sillage and Longevity are medium in my skin. Not a monster, but not a skin-scent either.

Fresh, sexy, juicy fragrance! I love J. LO. fragrances, when I wear this one I feel like walking into a tropical wood. I purchased this at a low price, from Strawberrynet, about 3 months ago. I love the bottle design too, it’s unique

Deseo and I go way back!
I remember how excited I was for this fragrance to come out in 2007. And when it finally did I couldn’t wait to test and buy it, since I LOVE all of Jennifer Lopez’ fragrances. After rushing to the nearest perfume shop i couldn’t wait to see the bottle and take a sniff. I didn’t like it all! 1 thought it smelled like morning breath. I know, EW! I was 19 at the time.
    A year goes by and we’re in spring/summer ’08.
The weather was gorgeous! While shopping i stumbled upon a Deseo set. 50ml with a tiny lotion and a shower gel. I got it, cuz i knew i would eventually. Even if it is just for the bottle. But luckily I liked the scent way more then a year before. Probably because it was sunny, which is more suitable to wear this fragrance.
I could go on and on about the path where desire(deseo) took me in the years to come. I’m 25 at the moment, and I adore this scent. With every age i grow i appreciate this complex fragrance even more. I go through the whole experience with the Deseo necklace, lotion and shower gel. As wel as the Deseo for men aftershave and deodorant and roll ons. Funny to think now how I hated this one at first.
Think about when your on holiday, getting ready for the beach. Got your pretty swimsuit on, oiled yourself up, put your sunglasses on and just basically getting ready for a fun day at the beach. You’ve had a lemon ice cream and lemon Fanta. Your surrounded by the smell of the ocean, the hot sand and the palm trees. The day is finished and you get home, ready to take a shower. That is what Deseo smells like to me. The end of a perfect summer day. Just sunny fabulousness! And the great great thing about this is, after you took your shower, put your nice clothes on, lather yourself up with lotion and getting ready to go out for a nice dinner outside when its a little darker. You can still put on this fragrance and feel really classy, fresh, clean and sexy. Its the perfect summer fragrance which is suitable for day AND night. It’s almost a 2 in 1 fragrance. Spring is also a great season to wear this too, even fall. Not so sure about winter, though.
So go buy it already! Make it your summer fragrance. Plus its super affordable. You won’t like it immediately perhaps, but you’ll love it in the long run, I promise. LOVE!

To me, the initial spray is very rubbing alcohol-ish. Very strong and potent. After it dries a little longer, I get a less harsh, citrusy, mineral scent! It’s quite lovely and unique in my opinion! I can definitely pick up the creaminess of the gardenia in the heart! The base to me, smells exactly like the heart. Nothing much changes! It’s a lovely summer fragrance, but personally I would choose Deseo Forever!
The bottle and packaging are both amazing! I love both concepts! Everything is just so pretty to look at!
I would definitely recommend this fragrance for people looking to try something new!

I didn’t want to get on the celebrity scent bandwagon, so I really resisted buying this one, but I must say, it’s a great, complex, and at times surprising fragrance. I’ve read a lot of comments about coconut notes, but I get none of that — lots of cedar and amber notes though. Sound overpowering? It’s really not. Because this scent dries to a powdery finish (not quite aldehydic), and it lingers but not like incense. It tends more toward levitation around the wearer, rather than giving a scent-drenching.
This actually is a great workplace scent, because it’s grown-up and serious without smelling like Grandma’s closet. It reminds me just a bit of Laura Biagiotti’s ROMA for men, but without that overly-sweet, in-your-face quality that doesn’t wear well.
A little surprising that Deseo hasn’t gained more of a cult following because it’s pleasant and above all, it’s DIFFERENT. Just as well, though, since I’d rather not smell myself coming and going on the days I choose Deseo.
The most complex and intriguing of J-Lo’s fragrances by a long shot — I really like this scent. It holds its own as a unique, crisp, fresh-woody concoction that stands out in a good way. On a scale of 1 to 5, I’d give Deseo a definite 4!

Beautiful fragrance. It’s a powerhouse for a tight wallet. Classy, sexy and bold yet she can be shy and passive.
I had put this on and
