The ‘Caribbean’ name suits this scent. It feels like a relaxing summer holiday.
Unlike Azzaro Chrome Legend which makes me feel like I’m in a convertible sports car cruising around the beaches of Monaco, this fragrance feels like pure relaxation on a tropical beach.
I actually like this scent more for the relaxed way in which it makes me feel. Azzaro has much better longevity, but this scent is better to me.
So clean, refined, so great… just wish it would last longer.

Yet another of my blind purchases.I am apparently a sucker for currant. But that’s besides the point. I purchased this about 9 months ago and it was really a pleasant surprise. The currant and bergamot and pepper are definitely the loudest players in the band. the amber is in the background very subtle. I find it extremely enjoyable for leisure occasions. It really is out of place in the office. I like to wear this stuff when I have the fishing shirt, cargo shorts and sandals on. It’s definitely a sunshine and relax type scent and really helps when I’m in that mood. My bottle is running low, and summertime is coming up. When I went to find another bottle of this stuff it was non existent. Completely gone from Amazon or Ebay or anywhere. Ill be looking for another similar scent I guess…I’m glad to have come across this gem.

Del Mar Caribbean is the sweetest of the Del Mar line of fragrances. The blackcurrant is the standout here and really dominates for a good length of time. The bergamot does make an appearance, but to my nose it’s quite fleeting.
I found that in the drydown, this one resembles the original Del Mar the most. It’s not as linear because of the sweet beginning, but it doesn’t stray too far from the original. The spicy heart is still there, but it feels a bit more subdued than the Seychelles and Marbella editions.
Sillage and longevity are average. Probably not worth a re-purchase for me, but if you prefer your woody summer type fragrances more on the sweeter side, this one is worth a look.
For what it’s worth my personal order of preference for the Del Mar line goes:
1.
