When smelling this alongside so many good quality oudhs in the Gulf it is clear just how cheap and synthetic this smells. It is the bottom end of the market in terms of quality in my view. Gives a headache.

I would say this is barny / skanky smelling tbh but I’m probably more used to the refined ouds and new to these very strong scents. It feels like there are civet (camel even maybe) notes in there and a lot of smoke. Not really for me, but, I can see this is a niche for some. No sweetness and I get no bergamot or citrus, mainly civet plus a very strong woodsy barny scent.

I have a bottle of this which I received as a gift.
It is of excellent quality and one of the best mid range ouds from Al Haramin house.
Sillage and longevity are both excellent.
Be warned if you’re new to oud, this is not sweet smelling or tamed, but its very SPICY and WOODY oud. On the other hand, its not barny or skanky smelling at all so it might appeal to oud newbies in that regard.
Bottle design is excellent and by far better than most Western perfusmes. Its made of glass and metal, bottle is heavy and feels expensive.

No way in hell is Ateeq EDP a “warm spicy” smell.
It smells like oud oil, oud attar.
Overwhelming & heavy woody smell of oud.
A woody heavyweight.
