I received a sample of this fragrances not too long ago and find Deep Impact to be a better, smoother, more polished version of Dior Homme Intense and, as another mentioned, it has a more pronounced vanilla accord in the drydown and a less lipstick vibe in the opening. It is definitely worth a sniff if you’re a fan of DHI. Unfortunately, I cannot stand DHI–just not my style since I have testicles–so this one is a pass for me. Still, it smells of quality ingredients and it may be a good choice for those who enjoy wearing powdery scents without going into that ultra-feminine DHI coco-puffs, lipstick and powder-bomb territory. It’s a much better choice IMO.
Performance was pretty good, but a little disappointing compared to my other DUA fragrances; it lasted 8-hours and projection was about average on my skin. I won’t rate this one since it is not my style. Finally, don’t you just wanna smack people who give a fragrance a thumbs-down (let’s say they’re reviewing a citrus scent) and then proclaim they hate all citrus fragrance. WTF? I cannot stand fig or chocolate prominent scents so I won’t vote on them since it would be…well, stupid!
Look forward to sampling and purchasing more DUA fragrances…very nice lineup, so far.

I can see why this is compared to DHI. I would say it’s 90-95% the same. I tried Vito Andolini (which is not a bad scent) which is a cheaper made version of DHI. This is a very smooth cool weather fragrance.

Dua Fragrances Deep Impact is a purported clone of the much-loved and much-hyped Dior Homme Intense. Like Ecstasy and Desert Spice, I look at Deep Impact from the perspective of someone not so spellbound by the original as to have either high or very specific expectations of a fragrance inspired by the original. So in that respect, Deep Impact is a good fragrance, and an interesting substitute, but it’s not so much of an improvement on DHI that I personally like it a lot more. I don’t own DHI (the powdery iris can be a bit overwhelming to my nose) and I won’t be buying a bottle of Deep Impact, either, despite the comparable performance and higher value that Duas generally provide, but this should serve more as a restatement its similarity to DHI, of which I have both vintage and recent samples of, than a disparagement of both.

This is For Heart Broken People , Who Used to Love DHI Once Upon a Time.
If you miss what DHI was 3 Years Back , This is For you.
DHI itself is Legendary Hence Deep Impact has the Legend inside a Power Pack 1 OZ Bottle.

Wasn’t originally a fan of this due to the opening being a bit off putting, but I get a similar reaction to DHI. I think it’s the combination of the lavender, vanilla, and cedar. Once this settles down after 10 minutes or so is when you get the big iris note that is similar to vintage DH and DHI. From that point on this fragrance is outstanding. Projection and longevity is very good. No doubt about this being similar to DHI and honestly I like wearing this more. Now they need to make a DH version.

This is like a smoother Dior Homme intense with a dense vanilla base. I like both fragrances a lot, and they are very similar. The lipstick note in DHI is shaper, whereas in this fragrance, it is smoother and more rounded. Deep Impact is more gourmand, but not by a huge margin. Performance was great on me, but I have not really “worn it out” yet sit it is too hot where I live. This is the sleeper stunner of the DUA lineup, IMO.
