I just found a bottle of this. Trying it just now and reminds me a lot Rive Gauche by YSL. At least at the opening. I think I like this one better…

This is one of those that has a kind of mythic status among aficionados. It’s now quite expensive, and so one has to question whether it is worth pursuing. In 1989, the little-known Henry Cotton’s In Green was released, and it’s got herbal notes, lavender, incense, “green notes,” florals, moss, patchouli, and amber, among others. Over at BN, some of the “veterans” say that Deep Forest isn’t much of a forest scent, and after reading all the reviews, I have a feeling that it is similar to In Green, or inferior to it. That one has clear lavender and a minty quality at first, but then the mint mostly dissipates, the lavender loosens up a bit, and a dry herbal/incense becomes prominent, softened a bit by the florals and amber, presumably. It’s natural smelling and dynamic, and I really like it, though it doesn’t fit into any obvious category. My point is that I can’t imagine DF being any better than IG, so there’s no way I’m going to spend a lot of money doing a blind buy on DF.

Bogner Deep Forest reminds me of two fragrances. Its sweet notes are taken from Davidoff Relax. Its dark notes from Fahrenheit. By the way I don´t smell any similarities with Escada PH Casual Friday.
Deep Forest is too strong for summer, should be worn only in cold winter periods.
Bogner Deep Forest is a very high concentrated Eau de Toilette, only 1 spray is enough.

I like it a lot. Incredible lasting power on my skin, 20 hours plus. In my opinion it can easily be unisex.

This must have been an awesome scent as I still have a clear recollection of its distinctive smell even though I never bought it and simply remember it from smelling a tester 3 or 4 times in a Dubai store some 15 years ago! I can best describe it as a (wait for it) very green heavily woody-mossy-sweet medicinal smell that was intriguingly sharp and smooth at the same time. Great, but perhaps a bit too aggressive for my novice nose at the time and hence I didn’t buy it. I’m sure I would have appreciated it more now, but I’ve since made up for that misdemeanour by buying several bottles of Bogner Man (in its various reincarnations) over a number of years – an even better and equally-stupidly hard to find (in the UK at any rate) gem of a scent from the same house.

I am just now seeing that this perfume has A LOT OF notes similar to another perfume I DO have in big, and that is Maserati perfume for men. I just smelled it and although Maserati is a strong green chypre classic style, if Deep Forest is just tooo expensive, the Maserati is wonderful too.
Deep Forest however has a more FOREST smell and Maserati luxurious green chypre.

Yes Action it is a good frag!
My hubby dear is into light fragrances like CK one, and to my surprise does not disagree with this one either.
I am not saying they are similar scents, but quality is quality.
