Description
After the original Darling fragrance from 2006 and its flankers Sweet Darling from 2007 and Sexy Darling from 2008, pop singer Kylie Minogue presents the latest edition of the collection, named Dazzling Darling. Dazzling Darling launches in August 2011, described as a feminine and captivating aroma that emphasizes woman’s radiance and confidence, while remaining mysterious and intimate.
Dazzling Darling opens up with fresh and spicy notes of red pepper, acai berry and violet. Rose, passion flower and orris root compose the elegant core of the composition, while the base of sandalwood, cashmere and delicate musk provide a gentle finish.
The fragrance is available as 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

This layers nicely with L’eau d’Issey Florale

Pretty, feminine, youthful.
(By clicking the green link below the love/like/hate panel, I find out I happen to be the only one currently wearing it, anywhere. I love this website!)

Dazzling Darling is a sparkling floral scent. It is a bit powdery and sweet. The dominant note here is violet. This fragrance reminds me a little of Parisienne by YSL.

I have to agree with liina about this. This is heavy floral heaven!! On me its heavy and long lasting perfect for australian humid nights. It is so different nothing i smelled before. Well picked and well blended violet same in Armani Amethyst but mooore dazzeling!!! If you want to feel special from others you should try this. One downside is the projection. It is more like skin scent with good lasting power.

I really don’t know where to begin with this perfume. i blind brought it seeing that the 50ml was £7.50 online somewhere and snapped it up. when i sprayed it expecting a berry kind of fruit smell i got very pungent synthetic musk and rose. it then turns into a woody violet smell that is too bland and boring for me. in a good way as i couldn’t stand the smell any more the fragrance lasted about 20 mins on my skin, but for people who love it that’s bad of course.
I love kylie but all her perfumes are just kind of bleh in my books. there just too simple besides from this one which is vile IMO

My first impression was: it smells like some fabric softener. However, the spicy peppery start makes it a perfume and not an aromatherapy smell. A soft floral fragrance, but the scent of pepper with violet is working great, I truly find it an exciting combination. A relaxing perfume without sharp sweetness. Maybe it’s way too light, as for longevity, I can’t say that I can enjoy it for long, and the sillage is so soft it’s almost unnoticable (unless you cuddle up to someone). But it’s worth taking a sniff of.

A pretty springtime delicate floral.
The light purple colour of the juice lets you know what the theme of the scent is about, for me it’s mostly violet and iris, two of my fave notes,so I’m happy!
I prefer this to the original Darling,I really hope it doesn’t get discontinued like Sweet Darling, which was a big mistake in my opinion because a lot of people liked it more than the others.
I like Kylies perfumes when I’m in the mood for something light and understated, and this is a soft skin scent that isn’t overpowering, and a nice low price tag too.

Bought as a blind buy as it was discounted cheaply…. Sadly a huge disappointment. Bland, sugary and no lasting power whatsoever. It practically disappeared as soon as it was sprayed out of the bottle. One of the weakest perfumes I’ve ever tried!

A very nice and light perfume…smells like iris, violet and something sugary for me. Staying power is average, but I still can smell it after 9 hours! I guess it depends on ones body chemistry.

For me, this one is her best perfume. It is much serious than all of those sweet, nice and ‘pinky’ perfumes of her. It is light but mysterious. The only disadvantage is that it does not last long enough.

lovely scent, light and easy, fun, delicate and soft, but no lasting power, within 30 mins it was gone,i sprayed tons on and within another hour it was gone,i even stood downwind of my friend and asked her could she smell it and no !!!so so dissapointed as first spritz i was in love, but wont be buying again no matter how cheap i can get it 🙁

I do like this perfume. I can smell it on me after 6hrs and to me it smells kind of magical and pretty 🙂 if you like feminine scents give this one a go!

I just did a youtube review of thid. Its a spatkling violet scent which is one of my fav notes and I love the vintage smell it has but poor lasting power 🙁
lub680speagoessenda – :
Oh this smells so good 🙂 Smells identical to Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie, wich i have and love, thanks to the pure Violet note. I think that many perfumes that is soppose to smell like Violet dont, but this one does 🙂 And it is very cheap 🙂 comparing to Van Cleef & Arpels Feerie.

Dazzling Darling is my favorite perfume from Kylie of the ones that I have smelled. It really caught my nose from the first sniff. I like Kylie but I hadn’t liked any of her previous perfumes so I got this one.
For me Dazzling Darling is heavy floral musky scent. Nothing light about it as some previous reviewers here have said. Already the top is very floral mixed with spicy pepper. And in the middle the florals only continue being heavy. I think it’s the orris root that makes it so ‘heavy’. The base is floral musky but I can’t detect anything particularly woody in there.
As being heavy it’s also quite long-lasting on me, even with only one spray. And thus I find it most suitable for night-time wear. It’s like these flowers that smell the heaviest on the summer nights.
Overall Dazzling Darling is a nice fragrance, no ‘wow-effect’ but not bad either. Although I think I would like it more without the orris root.

Actually I just sprayed it on when I saw in a drug store, and didn’t pay much attention to analyze it, but I remember it was disturbing, very different from the quite agreeable Kylie line, and for me this is the worst one of all of her perfumes.

I have just got this because I like to collect Kylie stuff not because I thought the perfume was anything I could not live without. It reminds me a lot of Estee Lauder Dazzling Silver. It is a sharp fresh smell very light nothing like her previous perfumes. The Pink Sparkle Pop would be the only one I would think is remotely similar. It does have very bad staying power I have to apply it on the back of my kneck on my hair line when my hair is tied up and thats the only way I can smell it. It has a very sinthetic smell but I do like it for some reason not sure why?

I’d describe DAZZLING DARLING at best as a very brief burst of pepper, then mild (too mild to place beyond a whiff of rose) florals, before finally settling into the Coty/Kylie standard musk and sandalwood base.
The lasting power is so bad that I struggle to smell anything at all within just 5 minutes – and I spritzed my wrists half a dozen times. Within the hour it has burnt itself out. The sad thing is that I’m not exaggerating.
Overall this is a poor effort by Coty and I was really disappointed by DAZZLING DARLING, as it uses many of my favourite scent notes and sounded perfect for me, so I was really excited to try it.
Kylie’s people say that this took over a year to develop, but I’m having trouble believing that, as I think that DAZZLING DARLING smells similar to Pop Pink Sparkle. Thinking about it, I suspect that this was probably originally going to be a flanker for Pink Sparkle.

Delicate, nice and light perfume. It gives me soft and relaxing effects. For radiant women. Better for summer. Bad lasting power.
Not my favourite Kylie fragrance.
