Opens with an herbal edge, probably from the saffron. I’ve smelled the saffron/rose combination in L’Agent Provocateur, but this feels cleaner and almost medicinal. There’s no coffee at all that I can find, which disappoints me. After wearing this for a day, it’s gone – it was gone after two hours except when I pressed my nose against my arm. Dark Pleasure is a beautiful scent; however, I find the performance disappointing. No sillage and no longevity! Perhaps I will try wearing this with Vaseline on my skin. Base notes never appeared.
For something with a name like DARK PLEASURE and with a note pyramid similar to Cafe Rose’s, this sure is wimpy. Such a shame because the scent itself is a unique interpretation of rose.

A really beautiful scent!
This Dark Pleasure fragrance has the same note pyramid as Tom Fords Cafe Rose. Not really sure how close it is because of not having a sample to test side by side.
Dark in the name is a bit miss leading… I find it to be somewhat rosey with a sharp saffron vibe, like I get from a bright rose/oud scent… but, without the oud base. Wanting more from the coffee and base notes… leave this scent a tad soft and airy after the 2 hour mark into the dry down. . I am getting around 5-6 hours.
