Very sweet, “sticky”. Coconut fragrance oil + “dusty” note (sandalwood and patchouli). Smells like chocolate wrapping papers.

On my skin this goes on a BIG tart fruity that is lovely. Smells like plum and black currant with lots of musk. I also got a hint of a cumin and dose of patchouli in the top that made this not just a fruity scent but a dark, deep fragrance. As it dries down, there’s a waft of coconut and a milky quality mixed with the sandalwood, the currant and a lot of musk. This is a sultry fruit being eaten after sex.

    peach, milk, and iris
i can only smell these three notes
    and i LOVE it !
    so fantastically beautiful
i mean, it’s not so sexy as it appears to be, right ?
but this was released in 1999
it’s nothing like any milky fruity scent nowadays
    it’s so original and special
the iris becomes very dominant on my skin
which i adore it so much !
    this is Dali !
    full of Dali spirit !
i am so glad that i have bought two bottles of it
    such a great perfume !

This is one of my top favorite perfumes, it is an absolutely gorgeous perfume, and I love it so very much!

Peach peach peach and peach yogurt LOL … If you do not like sweet perfumes, you will not like this one…but then if you spray only once maybe it is not that bad…but for someone who likes sweet perfumes, this will be great, and it is different from other sweet perfumes.

I was initially fond of this one but ended up swapping it away. On paper it has all my favourite notes, but somehow it felt a bit shallow to my nose, comforting yes, but perhaps a bit synthetic. I know Dalimania has a huge fan base so please do not be offended by my non positive review, just a matter of taste really! Bottle so cute and quirky though!

This one is one of my favorites, just addisted to Dalimania! I wear it in the night, specialy at the winter and during the cold days, its just so loving perfume, provocative a lot and very very seductive. Just love it!<3

Dalimania is very sweet in a syrupy-fruit compote kind of way. The most dominating note in this fragrance is a fuzzy, fleecy peach note. It’s more like watching a grainy VHS tape of a peach than smelling one right in front of you. Similar to Laguna, Dalimania takes notes that would ordinarily lead to a fruity floral fragrance, but instead gives us a dense, oriental scent. It feels like the composition is working against the materials it’s using.
While Dalimania smells fine, I can’t say it smells amazing, and there is something about the composition and materials used that ends up smelling a little heavy-handed and inexpensive. I still like it enough to use up the rest of my bottle, but if I really wanted a fragrance like this in my collection, I would buy Coty Exclamation which actually smells more developed and more expensive, despite being even cheaper in price than Dalimania.

One of my favorites. Attracted by the first sniff. Very flirting. Not coconut, but peach, orange,or black currant that very catching and i love this smell. i had a 5ml Q version and later a 30ml bottle. To me it’s not very sweet, but special. It’s about delicious food. Some milky nut….
    Nice longevity and sillage.

I like sweet but this is just sickly sweetness, too much!

I’m just trying this one now- I’m rather surprised because it smells nothing like what I “pictured”! It does indeed smell like peach or apricot jam nestled between the layers of a coconut-vanilla cake- with a few dark currants added to pull the peachy/apricot “hue” toward red. And the cake is soaked in fresh cream…intriguing. The base has a hefty dose of musk, along with labdanum, coumarin, benzoin, and sandalwood adding a mysterious quality.
EDIT: I know this one is becoming harder to find at an affordable price. ‘Forever’ by Al Haramain is QUITE similar- and also ‘Secrets’ by Etoile seems to be a good (but lighter) dupe of Dalimania- seriously.

I bought this and Dalissime blind as they both have peach/apricot and I am constantly looking for frags with these notes. Gourmands are usually safe bets for me too.
Dalimania is a deep peach/coconut scent, not like suntan lotion and fresh summer peaches…more like a compote or jam made with peaches and coconut amaretto.I don’t find it fresh or sweet,it’s definitely more suited to fall/winter wear.
I actually find this similar to one of my favourite Fresh frags, Fig Apricot edp. Both are creamy, thick and rich smelling.
As for longevity,I sprayed this about 8 times last night before bed, and again 3-4 times this morning…I can barely smell anything now.
I got a 100ml for $20 CAD, so I don’t mind using it as a body splash, and it’s a pleasant scent, but not “wow” enough for me to purchase again.
The bottle looks cool on my dresser though!

I haven’t scored this as love, like or hate yet because I really don’t know what category it falls into. I love the scent, but not as a fragrance on me. It’s a lovely warm comforting smell that reminds me of my grandmothers baking days-she always did Bakewell tarts (with raspberry jam, flaked almond and marzipan), and sponge squares which she covered in jam then sprinkled with coconut. Every single one of those notes is in this fragrance-fruity raspberry, sweet sweet almond and marzipan, and then a lovely milky coconutty warmth. Its a lovely cosy jammy sweet treat and if my kitchen smelled like this I would be very happy. But its absolutely awful on me as a fragrance-so so sweet, sickly almost, and then it dries down to a well sucked boiled sweet, which isn’t a bad smell in and of itself, but just not for me as a fragrance. If this was a cake, I would have it mostly scoffed by now, but on my skin it smells like I’ve dripped syrup on myself.

I really wore this one to death. It’s warm and exotic and for a long time, my signature. It is not everyone’s cup of tea. You do not want to overspray this as it is quite intense. I have a little bit left in a bottle that has been poorly kept for about 10 years- I think it has gone off but not sure if my taste has just changed. A cold weather fragrance that will get you noticed but you will probably be either a lover or a hater.

Salvador Dali fragrances are usually safe blind buys for me. I’ve only had one not work out, Dalissime, and that was just my skin’s tendency to turn peach+vanilla into syrup. Nothing against the perfume and it is lovely on some people.
Dalimania opens with a tart peach + black currant on my skin. However, the drydown is a completely different animal. It’s soft, milky and woody. The coconut is creamy, but not particularly sweet (a good thing, in my book) and I get touches of lily of the valley and iris.
It’s warm, approachable and pleasant. Unfortunately, I think it’s too fruity for my taste. Perhaps I’ll hold on to it until the fall and try again, but I think this one may be going on the swap pile.

It’s madly addictive – those berries in coconut milk, this creamy prolonged in air aromа and rich vanilla makes you literally drunk. It’s like the most weird jam of your life – where peaches with oranges are boiling and bubbling with black currant and milk
    Crazy happy Dalimania!

Eh. It’s not exactly what I’m looking for. I have a big, full bottle if anyone’s up for a trade.

I’m typically not a fan of oriental fragrances because for me most of them open way too strong. It’s the same with this one. But since it was a blind eBay buy (I love most of Salvador Dali fragrances) I had to give it a try. And oh my god, I’m happy I did! After 5-10 minutes this thing melts and softens into perfect note harmony. I can smell all of the notes, &these make a great combination. Soft but still “sharp” enough to make an impression. Dalimania really surprised me and made me more open to experiment with perfumes outside my comfort zone.

i have a long history with this perfume.. i used to be head over heels over it.. and i still like it.. but not as much as when i was in my teens and early twenties.. i guess i have matured in to more complex fragrances ..
salvador dali is a beautiful.. full.. feminine.. perfume.. full of wonder.. and bliss.. its so sensual.. so seductive..yet innocent.. so sweet yet not annoyingly so ..it melts in to your skin.. and you almost become one.. i used to ware it to bed so much.. for its so relaxing.. the vanilla.. the coconut.. the milk!.. dont they say drink a cup of milk b4 you sleep it will help u sleep well.. i guess you can smell the milk and it still has the same effect ..
it warms and dries down beautifully.. its not a dry scent.. it s a mellow ..soft.. feminine.. medley of beautiful notes ..ambery..musky.. cocounuty.. vanilic.. gourmand ..woodsy.. a hint oriental.. yet its so soft.. and almost feels like velvet.. on your skin.. its a skin scent.. definitely it stays so close to your skin.. and wraps you with a heavenly aroma fro head to toe.. its almost blissful.. whimsical.. and almost sacred ..as if you are protect by a vail of angels until you wake up ..its simply heavenly ..
it reminds me of chopard cashmir..

I love it. It definetely uplifts your mood. The joy that the design of the bottle brings you is anoter plus.
This is a sweet, fruity perfume which gives you happiness. Stays all day long, you can still smell it slightly the next day.
Every time I used it I received nice comments or was asked about the name of it.
Sad that they don’t produce it anymore 🙁

  22. :

    Fruity-vanilla with a coconut touch.
Lucious peach and is the most prominent aroma I detect.
Dalimania is sweet but not too sweet, not heavy.
    Stays close to skin.
It’s not as sweet as Dalisimme is.
Drydown is the best part of it – creamy and milky.

  23. :

Dalimania smells very tropical and spicy to me. It settles down to a very pleasant, creamy scent. Considering how affordable it is, this fragrance is truly a steal.

I’m not much into fruity perfumes specially peach notes, but I like this perfume because it reminds me of a nice trip, every time I smell it I remember that time. It’s a warm perfume that suits fall-winter, but its main default that is very weak, it vanish from the first hour
p.s. it’s main accord is peach not coconut

  25. :

lots of peach, coconut, woodsy, tropical and creamy. A much better version of Dalissime. young and happy !!
It does not smell cheap to me it’s very sweet but complicate.

I decided to give Dalimania its first full wearing on the first really hot day of the year. I don’t find it a wintery perfume a all. Just the contrary, it’s light and cheerful for a summer day if you’re not in the mood for something green or citrusy.
It’s listed as oriental, but to my nose it’s far more on the tropical side – that is of course due to the coconut that stands out very much.
The coconut and vanilla seems to interchange all the way through the top, heart, and base (strangely enough). Other than that the peach and iris come forward the most when I wear it.
It’s definitely very sweet, but not edible – the coconut makes me think of those travel agency ads with the photos of those amazing white beaches with palms and blue sky and serenity. Those that make you want to rob a bank to get to that place.
Sillage is not exactly huge. It could easily be worn in a crowded place.
My only complaint would be the longevity – about 3 hours on me, which I consider below average.
EDIT: Okay, I take it back. The longevity is actually quite good. It does stay VERY close to skin after only few hours, but it is there.

More a sunny Floral Fruity than a warm Oriental. This is the fragrance equivalent of a peach sherbert dessert.
I don’t get much coconut on my skin, but the citrus undertones produce a simple, quiet symphony with the louder peach and milk notes. I really enjoy it.
Again, not much vanilla as everyone notes, but a creamy base exists that I can’t quite pinpoint to a particular note. A sweeter cream, rather than a milky note. White florals enhance this cream-base flavour.
Sillage quite weak. But perfect for everyday office wear.

Well balanced. It is sweet in an expensive way.

This smells really good. Creamy from the milk and sweet from the coconut and vanilla. A great summer fragrance and perhaps maybe gourmand enough for fall and winter. Yum…I have to admit I like it!

very sweet candyish fragrance but in a good way. Not boring and cloying like todays sweet fragrances. i think, milk gives the creamy tone of perfume.

As a Dali fan in the 90`s, I had to buy this one in 2000. I like it as a more grown up version of Dalissime. More spices and deeper scent.

A good fragrnace but it doesn´t last at all. I know it suppose to be vibrant and changing, but at least on me after i spray it on it is sweet first and then just fresh and then dissapeares. Expected it to be better, but still like it. NB! Try this on your skin, cause it might smell completly different on a tester paper!!!

I bought a pen unsniffed due to loads of positive reviews espacially on coconut note. Disappointed. On me it smells cloying, sickly sweet with loads of peach. Very fruity gourmand I must say. The fruit notes are not fresh nor juicy, just round and sugary like fruit flavored syrup. Coconut here is not tropical beach-ish but heavy. Not for me since I’m not really in to sweet, cloudy, fruit flavored milkshake kind of scent with no edge. I had to give it to my sister, a gourmand lover. She loves it.
Well, I guess perfume choice is subjective. I do believe it’s heavenly for gourmand lovers.

OH GOD, I’m afraid that I might get diabetes just from sniffing this. It opens with burst of lemony sugar, followed by burst of fruity sugar, then there is sugar dipped in milk. At the heart it goes to “Bounty” like smell and I’m yet again afraid of the diabetes.
Why is this oriental? It’s more a fruity gourmand (I won’t use “floral” as there, on my skin, are no flowers at all).
No worries, I’m not saying it’s bad, but it’s very sweet, for me – too much, but for one it might be very, very good. And a down side is that this reminds me of Flowerbomb as it turned out to be Sugarbomb instead of having anything to do with flowers.

very very very sweeet ,but I like it.Is the only sweet perfume that I really love.I feel very good when I were this perfume and the lasting power is extraordinary, lasts for hours. The bottle is very interesting too.

Ah, the smell of my first love… 🙂 Pleasant memories for me, I still love this really gourmand smell…

  37. :

Massive trail of gourmand sillage! I can smell where I’ve been, but I can’t smell it on my wrist. The fragrance didn’t seem to last long on me, and there was a slightly bitter woody note left on my skin. I’m not sure what to make of the scent. It’s possible it would be better in cold weather than in warm.

    coconut night fantasia
I waited long to find a scent like this, sharp coconut, orange, peach, jasmine, a bit of iris, vanila, rose, milk, etc.
I expected some sorth of lighter Angel. It’s far from that!
Dalimania is a very sensual perfume, very intimate. It doesn’t smell foody, and it gives you the sensation that something acute is going on on those notes you smell. The red colour of the bottle is right for it. It makes you think of this colour even without looking at the bottle.
Ok, enough with the good part.
The bad part is that this little marvel is, unfortunately, a skin scent. It goes a bit stronger in the first 15 minutes, than it fades so fast it makes your nose spin trying to smell it again. :))
Sory. It really lasts very little.
P.S.-it has absolutely nothing to do with Dalissime, though the shape of the bottles is the same.

This fragrance is inspired by Fiesta- a Spanish street festival/party. At the beginning of the street party you sample patisserie, chocolate and sangria. Then you begin to dance finding the one you adore. A sense of euphoria as your bond strengthens. Colours spike from the depths of passion. Primal eruptions fan the fires of desire. You have the mania, Dalimania.

Had it about 10 years ago. Got it as a present from a boy-friend. Was dissapointed at first as I was expecting to receive classic floral Dali parfum which I “ordered”. Didn’t like it at all at first sniff, as I had never liked sweet scents before. After trying it on, I liked it very much though! Sweet and really warming in cold weather. But unfortunately sometimes I noticed I had headaches the time I wore it. So, not exactly “my” perfume. But I can recommend it for those who like sweet oriental fragrances for cold season, just don’t overdo it, it’s quite strong and long-lasting.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Dalimania starts out with a fairly sweet and hard-hitting fruity note of apricot. that after a few minutes starts to separate into orange and peach develops. The overall mixture is sweet with a sour kick.
Floral notes start developing while the peachy aroma is still dominant. The mixture reminds me of the fresh and somewhat sharp and lily of the valley smell mixed with lots of fruit. I have to the say, the fruity dominance masks most of the floral notes throughout and even seep into the base notes.
The floral essences simply tone down the fruit and add some depth, thus the olfactory equivalent would be like smelling a single flower amongst lots of overripe fruit. There’s a fair amount of sillage which is by no means overpowering.
Halfway through the middle notes, the fragrance develops a creamy edge with a slight peachy tinge to it. There’s definitely a milk note and the smell of raw coconut milk) that gives Dalimania a sort of cloudiness mixed with a subtle and non-foody vanilla aroma.
The drydown is a whisper of fruit within a milky, creamy oriental base that will stay close to the skin and last till about 8 – 9 hours.
Dalimania remains a staple when I’m looking for a rich, sweet exotic fruity floral fragrance with an oriental streak –a very ‘nineties’ thing and typical of the decade. Recommended.

Very simple sweet scent, not heavy at all but not lasting either. I can smell it only when I sniff my wrist, otherwise – undetectable for my nose. I wouldn’t mind it for free or at a very reasonable price, otherwise – wouldn’t buy it. The bottle is beautiful though and by the way – warm milky vanilla is surprisingly pleasant in the dry down.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

I feel the peach, blackberry and coconut notes in this fragrance most of all. This fragrance is very warm and sweet, even sickly sweet, that is why I don’t like it.

  44. :

    I’m in love with Dalimania!
I bought it barely sniffed but thanks to the reviews my purchase was a full hit.
After all, I’m a gourmand scents hunter and this one is exactly what I like – a yummy fragrance! It smells mostly like fig jam (as mentioned), and other components – vanilla, musk, peach, caramel and softening milk. What a lovely composition!
The staying power is impressive, having in mind the price. I’d catch its smell 8-9 hours after spraying it.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

    Not strong or heavy.
Sweet and close to skin, so it doesn’t annoy people around you.
I don’t think it’s a sweeter version of Dalissime. The bottles are similar, but the scents are quite different. Dalimania smells a little “gourmand” for me, and Dalissime is sugary, peachy, but clean, not “eatable” 🙂

  46. :

    4 out of 5

Sweet but with a twist…the coconut in this perfume is light enough that it doesn’t smell like sun-tan lotion, but makes you notice it. Kind of a hard thing to do (IMO) as coconut usually drowns out all other notes and makes a perfume seem juvenile…but not this bad boy! I’m glad I tried this one. The dry down reminds me SOOOO much of Burberry Brit Red, and I already have that one, so I don’t think I will be purchasing this one.
For those of you who wanted to like BBR but could not stand the rhubarb note, you may want to give this one a go.

sweet is right, after i sprayed this the first time, one of my apartment mates who walked into the kitchen (my room is next to the kitchen) asked me whether i was making cinnamon rolls. 🙂 i haven’t really had time to study the fragrance yet though, so this post will receive an update soon.

I love this one. Not like other oriental parfumes that can be to heavy.
I always get stopped on the streets by people asking about this parfume.
It is a sweet, warm, very female scent, work best at nights.
Sadly, i’ts out of production, at least in sweden.
