Description
Marc Jacobs presents a new fragrance intended for the new generation of youth that follows the franchise started with Daisy from 2007. The new Daisy Love, announced as a captivating and addictive scent for the millennials, comes out in April 2018, formulated by perfumer Alberto Morillas, who signed the original as well.
Daisy Love is a fresh floral fragrance with a fruity opening and a woody-musk base. In the upper notes there is a berry fruit accord called Cloudberry (Rubus chamaemoru). The floral core of the perfume features the daisy tree note (Scalesia pedunculata) based on a driftwood accord and cashmere musk.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Love is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Juicy and fruity-floral, but it sort of just smells like the perfume section in Sephora. It’s pleasant and youthful, sweet without being cloying. Definitely a safe gift option, if that’s what you’re looking for. I don’t see a strong resemblance to the original Daisy necessarily, but I think those who enjoy Daisy would likely enjoy this too.
Karina – :
My hubby loves this fragrance on me, so it’s a personal 4-Star rating!
Raven1975 – :
This smells just like every other designer floral fruity musk that’s been released over the last 5-10 years. I can only assume people are collecting these for the bottles rather than the content, which in this case is incredibly boring.
КУАНТКАН – :
Sharp, boring, and lasts about 30 minutes. The scent is sweet and inoffensive but totally boring.
Glazz – :
I didn’t expect much from any of the Daisy fragrances, but this one is very pretty. It definitely does not have staying powder, and it would be pretty pricey just for a body mist, but is lasting OK on clothes. I have no idea what cloudberry is. I think I detect a fuzzy peach or a rich sour plum. If I smell daisy, which is a kind of hard note to put in a fragrance since it is so faint and dusty, it might be that powdery pollen type scent. The base of this is slightly woody and I am getting an herbal coriander seed coolness. I get the same coolness (kind of a spicy coolness) in my Gucci Rush too. Whereas Gucci Rush is like your best, most energetic fun day on steroids, Daisy Love is like sitting at the lake feeding ducks under a flowering plum tree.
maugli78 – :
Cloudberries? Are they even familiar with that berry?! It’s nowhere to be found in this perfume, and I can’t smell any other fruit either. What I get is a sugary and musky scent, which is quite nice. Unfortunately, it isn’t too special, since there’s a dozen of similar scents out on the market.
jindos – :
Today I tried this and I have to say I’m a sucker for this scent. It’s so warm, light and cosy. I love the mix of cloudberries and daisies – it’s so tender and pretty. It reminds me of a Baby Johnson shampoo. It’s so cute and innocent!♥
The dry-down has a little bit of artificial feeling to it – like plastic berries or lipstick. Nontheless I like it.
The staying power on my skin is not bad (for a Marc Jacobs’ fragrance) – around 4 to 5 h ( in hot, humid weather), but the projection does seem poor and it does kind wear like a body lotion. Because of that I’m not sure if I should invest in a full size bottle.
hunter435 – :
I feel like stating that I ‘dislike’ this is unfair considering how studiously ‘inoffensive’ it smells, but on the other hand – there is something offensive about a perfume’s ability to smell of so little at all, let alone to stick around for so little time. It smells inoffensively fruity at first – there’s a tartness to the cloudberry that stops it being cloying or lipgloss-scented, and that’s about all. After the drydown there is maybe a trace of musk, but it’s got no more presence than the average shower gel would leave on your skin after showering. There’s nothing wrong with a young, fruity-candy scent but I think there is something objectionable about a scent with similar complexity and less lasting power to a Body Shop mist being sold at the same (if not a slightly higher) price point than much higher-quality offerings for the same market from Kenzo, Nina Ricci, etc.
CackStart – :
This is a warm, sweet scent with a light musky drydown. The white floral element keeps it from being overly cloying, but it is not distinct enough to be able to recognize it as a daisy note specifically. While many sweet scents tend to give me a headache, this one did not. It is unobtrusive, with poor sillage and a longevity of around 2 hours on me.
This doesn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the Daisy line of fruity florals. I think a more suitable marketing for Daisy Love would be as a flanker in the Dot line (if only they hadn’t been discontinued). Its sweetness reminds me more of Honey by Marc Jacobs than Daisy, though it is still quite different from that.
Being a devoted fan of the original Daisy, this both surprised and disappointed me. I love floral scents, and for something with ‘Daisy’ in its name, this falls short. I wouldn’t go as far as to say that this is completely a gourmand, but it’s more of a gourmand than a floral.
Proffy777 – :
Not impressed.
It smells very sweet at first, but fades away quickly.
The base is so faint, I can’t even say what it reminds me of.
Even less interesting than the original Daisy, which I didn’t like.
AnnaAleksandrovna – :
Sweet. Juicy. Delicious.
Cloudberry is a sweet-tart fruit and that aspect certainly comes alive in this perfume. The combination of brightness and sweetness is a mood lifter for me and the fizzy musk further contributes to this. The grounding force of the wood is not all that detectable on my skin, but I’m ok with that because, despite some others’ experiences of the contrary, this has firmly moderate silage and longevity on me.
I like it. It’s cute and puts a smile on my face. Would I buy a bottle? Unlikely, just because I have so many others, but I might get a little pen spray when my sample is done just to sniff when I need some simple brightness in my day.
roman1978270178 – :
This is light and effervescent, and reminds me of a certain pop (soda), but I can’t put my finger on which one! Possibly something lemon-lime or orange flavored. I can practically feel bubbles when I spritz this. Unfortunately, the feeling doesn’t last. The previous reviewers are right when they say that this performs like a body spray. You could spray this 30 times and I still don’t think the scent would last. It’s not too much of a loss for me, the scent is pretty basic, but admittedly pleasant.
DokycEllodo – :
This one is much prettier and more wearable imo than the original which turns plasticky and very synthetic almost instantly. Why Marc??? The bitter floral/celery note that I loathe in the original is also gone! Yay!!! This one is definitely muskier and with more fruits. It’s a solid like, but I really can’t love it at its current price point simply because the longevity is just so poor. It performs like a body spray! However if you’re after a super light, feminine and sensual fragrance this one is a safe blind buy. It’s very delicate and pretty. But don’t say you weren’t warned about longevity!
Scent: 7/10
Sillage: 6/10
Longevity: 4/10
Phokssninnern – :
I thought this would just be the same ol Daisy just in a knew bottle like MJ does so often but tonight I discovered it’s a much more beautiful scent than the regular it’s like a more grown up version. I have such a love hate relationship with Marc jacobs because everything is god awful expensive and much of the time it’s not like you get your money’s worth. This however I would pay the 102 dollars for a 50 mls bottle it’s so beautiful. It does kind of give me more of a like late summer early fall type vibe.
Elommence – :
Yummy peachy nectar! (ok, cloudberry) I like this a lot! I think it’s a fun perfume for hot summer days. I wouldn’t wear it to the office though. In spite of the sweetness, it’s a bit refreshing. Not the longest lasting…but it smells terrific! My boyfriend really likes it and he very rarely comments on my perfume.
_joni_ – :
Not like the other Daisys. Has a heavy amber note that resembles B&BW Cashmere Mist.
ebogomolov0 – :
I definitely don’t dislike this but I sure don’t like it.
This is basic. So basic. Sour, lightly alcoholic nondescript fruit…the end. I wouldn’t buy this for ANY amount. Time for Marc Jacobs to let go of Daisy flankers tbh.. or at least offer them for body spray prices. This is on par to a VS spray, however, I feel as though they have more depth than this one. I’m MAD Marc Jacobs is actually putting this stuff in a bottle.
lady-yo – :
So disappointed with this purchase! It only last for maybe an hour. I absolutely adore Daisy Eau So Fresh and wish I had saved my $$$ and purchased another bottle of that instead. My husband also loves the scent of the Eau So Fresh in me and when we received a mailer with the new scent of Daisy Love he insisted I purchase a bottle of it immediately. I was sooo let down with the lasting power of this scent; it smells delightful when first applied, but nothing no trace just a few hours later. I’m used to the soft lingering scent of Daisy Eau So Fresh some might say its lasting power is weak, but I can wake up the next day and the first thing I smell is that and I love it! Wish I had of tried a sample of this before I purchased such an expensive let down.
candy999 – :
It’s a beautiful, syrupy sweet fresh perfume I really enjoyed wearing this today! I wasn’t expecting this I thought it would be more floral. I have never heard of cloudberry but it smells yummy. The fragrance doesn’t last long I’m afraid but it’s a very fun fruity scent that cheered me up!
serpu4uk – :
On the photo instead of cloudberry white raspberry….
fatmannn – :
Black opium is a strange comparison but I can see the resemblance now that you mention it. It’s got a similar synthetic fruitiness. But I love black opium and totally despise this one. It’s stinky like a real daisy
Evgen-mgn – :
Another Black Opium knock off. This one is very light, with a tad more berry and a little more musky. Limited sillage; it is almost a skin scent on me. Not bad, just generic.
The scent does not match the bottle or the name. I would interpret a daisy as fresher and greener, “love” or otherwise. But, I suppose it may appeal to a teen demographic.
gogi63 – :
I sprayed this at the store and I love it! I love the sweet daisy smell and absolutely love the woodsy dry down. Kinda reminds me of Dolce Garden when it fades away after 3 hours. May be a bad thing because I hate Dolce Garden.
Dj1mj1 – :
Daisy Love smells like my Strawberry Shortcake Apricot doll from the 80s. Cute bottle, though.
krokodil gandon – :
Very awkward scent, a bit green, a bit woody, hard to define. I don’t find it similar to any of the previous Daisies.
Alekc1976 – :
Not bad at all, it’s pretty nice, but very ’meh’. Smells like a young girls first designer perfume.
IgaraZ – :
Love this! I loathe powdery scents and “powdery” does not come to mind when smelling this. What does come to mind is fruity, sweet, but not overly sweet, fresh, fun and perfect for the upcoming summer months Being a typical Marc Jacobs release it is lacking in staying power but I enjoy it so much this can be overlooked. I must also note I do not find it overly musky. Got a sample from Sephora and will definitely be my next purchase
geabegoovence – :
I just tried it and it is sweet ! It is like a cloud of powdery sweetness with a distant hint of florals .. I find it a bit non descriptive and overall rather young !? I don’t know I don’t think I would enjoy wearing it
It doesn’t have the personality of the original nor the uniqueness
This is a free spirited little scent , girlie and pleasant
Not one I need to have honestly
I don’t feel it is a fruity floral as I don’t detect much of floral notes and even fruity notes
Mostly a powdery sweetness
I don’t think it is bad at all but neither is it a very interesting creation
It won’t offend anyone and will please lovers of sweet scents
Rino0588 – :
I am not a fan of the Daisy line, but i really like this one. It is very fruity, but elegant and smooth. It is also young and luminous.
I‘ve never smelled Cloudberry, to me it smells like peach. Try it if you like fruity fragrances that are not tropical, or if you‘re looking for something fun but classy.
dsf835speagoessenda – :
This is absolutely beautiful! I was expecting it to smell just like daisy original but not at all! Sadly it’s just too pricey for me to justify it until it’s in some of the cheaper websites.
mazafakaaaaaaaaaaaaa – :
I am new to perfumes and have been on the hunt for my “signature scent.” Well I think I’ve found it in Daisy Love. After sniffing perfumes at every store I go into it and buying several that just haven’t impressed me upon wearing them, this is the one for me. I happened upon this in Sephora when I dropped in to purchase a rollerball of RL woman. I saw this and as soon as I smelled it I forgot all about RL woman. As I’m wearing it right now it doesn’t give me a headache and I keep sniffing it because I just enjoy it so much. I also really like reading the reviews on here, so I thought I’d pop in to give my two cents and say hello to y’all.
V.K-iLL88 – :
Full disclosure: I beelined to Daisy Love because the bottle appealed immediately to the 5-year-old in me. The first thought I had upon spraying it on was “green strawberries”. It reminds me of the strawberry iced green tea I always get at Starbucks at the beach… a happy memory! As others have pointed out, it’s more gourmand than the other Daisies. Has a bit of a whipped cream, strawberry shortcake vibe to it. Light, ripe, sweet. It’s very much a member of the fresh-floral-berry Daisy family.
As an aside, I lived for a bit in Northern Europe, and I’m familiar with cloudberry. I had cloudberries just-picked, in jellies, in sauces, and so on. They look like bright orange raspberries, and aren’t very sweet… I think they taste more similar to grapes or apples than blackberries or raspberries. Does Daisy Love smell like cloudberry? Eh. Overall I think it’s a more stylish than realistic choice to describe its fruity accord.
Anyway, the scent is fresh, sweet, subtle, spring-time-y; the sillage is medium-light; but the longevity is barely there. It hardly lasted three hours! Still, let’s face it, with the vast majority of the fragrances from this house, you don’t buy a Marc Jacobs perfume because the juice is amazing and the bottle is cute. You buy a Marc Jacobs perfume because the bottle is amazing and the juice is cute.

ыаыаыпвпвпв – :
@pretty swag. OK you just told me I must not have worn the perfume because I didnt like it. Yet after you wore the perfume, lo and behold, you disliked it also! I am so confused. What exactly was your point?? I own this perfume. Stupid blind buy. I don’t recommend doing that. It’s very sweet and not fresh and pretty like the other daisies
ivan-85 – :
Notes according to Ulta (not too different than here):
Top – Crystallized cloudberries
Heart – Daisy tree petals
Base – Cashmere musk, driftwood
..to me, those notes all sound dreamy summertime smells, and that to me is just what this fragrance is..dreamy Summertime, carefree Summertime smells..laid-back, fresh, floral and a little sunny…and yet with hints of a comforting type of smell, thanks to the cashmere musk and driftwood.
I’ve been on the hunt for some fun, carefree, laid-back summer fragrances, and this one will do just nicely. Not cloying nor synthetic nor overly sweet like many Summertime fragrances can be for me. It gets very hot and humid here, as well, so my Summertime fragrances need to be able to not be strangely amplified in bad ways because of the high heat and humidity. That is one reason, too, while I am one of those fragheads who tends to wear fragrances according to seasons. For example, Obsession and the original Poison smell rank on me if I were to wear them in the summer. So, lightweights such as Daisy Love work just dandy!!
Awertester – :
This is the sweetest perfume I’ve smelled in the MJ Daisy variations. Original Daisy, Daisy Eau So Fresh and Daisy Dream are all very clean, fresh, and fruity-floraly with tart berry notes. This one, to me, is more gourmand and food-like (beyond just the fruity notes that are in the other Daisys). It smells like a pastry or something, lol. I’ve never smelled cloudberry or even know wth that is, lol, but this smells vanilla-y not like fruits. I definitely smell the daisy note but it’s way in the background, and IMO there isn’t enough in there to balance out the sweetness.
eaguy – :
I get a slight whiff of cotton candy from this. Overall nice and sweet but not what I expected at all. Lasting power seems dismal but the smell itself and bottle are cute.
VSergey1987 – :
Very disappointing release from Marc Jacobs. The overall lasting power is terrible. Less than an hour later, not a trace is left. At the start, you can smell the driftwood but then that quickly vanishes, and somehow all that remains is a faint identical smell of Daisy Dream. I definitely don’t recommend spending money on this perfume; it would be a waste. I’m glad I bought a small purse spray to try first before buying a bigger bottle.
ENTELLEGENT-2 – :
The cloudberry in this is new to me and so far I am liking what I’m smelling from the little sample card I received from Sephora in the mail, but I can see how this could possibly become too sweet and cloying in high heat situations. I do like sweet scents, though, so I’m thinking of springing for the travel size to test it out further on my skin and see just how the cloudberry develops…
Shusha – :
another daisy winner !!!! i am a bit partial lol i love the whole daisy line there is no loser lol love the huge daisy flower on this one – so cute and yes i am a sucker for the daisy bottles – i love the whole daisy design thing as far as the scent its a young flirty well daisy scent 🙂 fits right in with the whole line……..if u love daisy then u will love this 🙂
Extpumajl – :
I adore this fragrance! I was never a huge fan of the original Daisy because it tended to give me a headache, but I love Daisy Eau so Fresh, and I was curious to try this one. It is a lovely sweet and soft fruity-floral fragrance-definitely sweeter than Eau so Fresh. I love the cloudberry note combined with the daisy and the driftwood, and I feel that all of those notes can be detected when wearing this perfume. It is a wonderful spring and summer fragrance, and it lasts at least 6 hours on my skin. 🙂
tchervonets – :
Actually wore this today in 80 degree heat and its lasting power is quite good..for a edt. It wears like a edp. Its fresh fruity warm sweet floral blend…im liking this and it works for my chemistry and i think when i very first tried this i was over sprayed with other scents i had tried…so once i tried this on clean skin…its a yummy scent…so i ate my darn words! 😉
odyvanchikoff – :
Actually …have to take my words back…this is quite nice…I think its sweet and floral and good for spring or even fall…it does have a fresh wave but goes candy sweet later..I think the chemistry of a persons skin makes a difference on how this wears. It may not be for all. I like it and bought it. Just dont over spray. If you dont like sweet scents or prada candy types …this will be a no.
Ксюша Романова – :
Smells cheap and over sweet …generic powder drydown. Nope. Original daisy is best!!
claiceachsync – :
I like its opening for the first 30 seconds! And then…
It has a very strong, dominant and super sweet cloudberry from start to finish (like fruity candy-coated-berry). The daisy was there but faded quickly when driftwood and musk kicked in few minutes later. I personally think that daisy in reality smells similar to some “woodsy” scents. In here, it blended right in and then “disappeared” in the “wood”. To me, it seemed like an “unnecessary” note/step. I don’t know. For some strange reasons, its sweetness does remind me a little bit of the sweetness in Marc Jacobs Dot, which is a true “headache inducer” to me.
This is the first Daisy (or ANY fragrance ever), that I was able to detect all 4 separate notes in it. To my nose, Daisy Love is more like a two-note fragrance: berry-on-steroid and wood. It is the most “simple” (could be considered “boring”) EDT out of the whole Daisy line. Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet, Daisy Eau So Fresh Twinkle, and some other Daisy Eau So Fresh EDTs are much more interesting and offer more complexity. Lasting power is 3 hours top. Sillage is between “soft” and “moderate”. To me, this one spells “big disappointment”.
Definitely a real “marketing trap” on just the bottle design (as it would look adorable on any vanity), if I may add. The juice itself is absolutely NOT worth $102 (plus tax) for a 3.4 oz bottle. I’ll say $25 (30 max) seems fair for this kind of scent! I don’t hate it but I have smelled much, much better 🙂 Sure, I’ll keep it as a gift for the sake of the bottle itself 🙂

I was super excited to try this but it wasn’t what I expected from the ads. I expected something light, breezy, and beachy but all I’m smelling is fruity baby powder. It’s also giving me a bit of a headache. Sad
