Description

Dahlia Noir is the new perfume from the fashion house of Givenchy that embodies elegance and style of the couture brand under the leadership of its creative director Riccardo Tisci. The perfume is presented as a “Fatal Flower” of unreal and imaginative composition for mysterious and fascinating women.

Dahlia Noir or the “Black Dalia” is a powdery fragrance of dusty chypre – floral structure. Top notes of mandarin, pink pepper and mimosa lead to the extensive and intensive core of rose, iris and patchouli. The base wraps up the composition in a mysterious veil, made with notes of sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean.

The bottle’s design is classic, simple and elegant, perfectly suited for the concept of the perfume. The advertising campaign features model Mariacarla Boscono as the sensual and dangerous “Black Dalia”. Dahlia Noir is available as Eau de Parfum in bottles of 30, 50 and 75 ml, with an accompanying collection for body care.

Dahlia Noir was launched in 2011. The nose behind this fragrance is Francois Demachy.

@Voldeminuit, by that logic anyone named Ted should change their name because of Ted Bundy. I don’t even dare to think what should all women named Dahlia do!?

I love this scent, secret, sexy, powdery smell. The bottle is beautiful. Love it!!!! It lingers on skin for a long time and dry down beautifully.

This is an average perfume I expected better to be honest. It basically smells like baby powder and has a barely average longevity. It is suitable for any age or occasion as it has a very everyday and feminine smell. It is not a bad perfume but it is not a great one either. I received this as a birthday present but will not buy it when it finishes.

First of all, no offense, but Dahlia Noir EDP does not smell similar to Dior J’Adore L’Or. It is like comparing New York steak with lamb chop 🙂
Dahlia Noir EDP is nice for a slightly peppery and powdery rose fragrance. It is not spicy but rather a “warm” kick. It is not a masterpiece, but easily pleasing about just anyone who does not mind an unsweet rose scent, as this one is not a sweet floral fragrance at all. It is more woody on my skin than powdery which is a good thing that I really appreciated (not that I don’t like powdery fragrances. I just got bored with that effect sometimes). Dahlia Noir is smooth but not a creamy kind. It is rather a well balanced, clean, pleasant and very decent fragrance with a little powdery dry down.
Sometimes I wear the EDP to a casual dinner with my husband or colleagues, but most of the time I prefer it for a goodnight sleep, for comfort and peace of mind. I wear the EDT on sunny days, going to a farmers market or a county fair…

    Ahh yes.
In another reviewer’s fine words this fragrance is indeed a discontinued gem amongst others. My first experience with Dahlia Noir was back in 2012 when my mom’s second husband bought the gift set for me and gave it to me on Christmas. My whole family was aware of my penchant for perfumes that had “noir” in it. Versace Crystal Noir, Tom Ford Black Orchid and other similar fragrances were totally my jam even in high school. I had the 75 ml bottle for a couple years but got distracted with other fragrances and eventually shoved it off onto my mom who gladly gave it a home in her large fragrance wardrobe. The woman was an avid perfume collector for many years and acquired something like 40+ fragrances from various discount websites. She has everything ranging from easy breezy cheapies by Avon to vintage French designer houses to eclectic creations by Vivienne Westwood.
I am now 24 yrs old and recently found myself going to her bedroom and stealing Dahlia Noir to take on a night out or for an evening date. The top notes seemed to have gone a bit “off” which then inspired me to become interested in acquiring a new bottle. That was when I discovered it had been discontinued so I began searching the dark web for the best deal. Frankly, I did not want to pay a high price for a perfume that had been discontinued only a few years ago and had not been promoted to vintage status yet. Finally won it in a bid on Ebay and paid around $50 for it. It came packaged beautifully and from the first spritz I could tell it was 100% authentic. The pale pink art deco box and the peachy juice were exactly as I remembered from my 2012 bottle that came from Nordstrom.
Despite some of the dismissive reviews there is something slightly noir and even deadly about this one in a subtle way. I find that it strikes that balance between being neither juvenile nor too mature, alluring yet not suggestive, interesting but not in a weird niche way, feminine but not overly girly etc. There is also something that calls to 1940s Hollywood in this that I find very special and unique. Maybe its the dusky powdery aroma that reminds me of old-school makeup mixed in with the feminine rose and some pink peppercorn to give it a dash of zest. I’m honestly so glad to have gotten my hands on another bottle before it disappears into the canals of one hit wonders from designer houses. This is a beautiful fragrance but I suspect it wasn’t flying off the shelves like the popular sugary sweet cotton candy creations of today hence why it got discontinued.
    Au revoir!

I really wanted to love this perfume and hoped as the name suggested it would be a floral with a darker undercurrent. Unfortunately I just get a strong almost baby powder smell and no real individual notes or pleasant mellow base notes. Bearing in mind the many positive reviews it could just be my body chemistry. That is what I love about fragrance someone else can be wearing your perfume and it will smell completely different on them. For those who love design the bottle is a beautiful addition to any dresser and I’m glad I got the opportunity to try it. Just to add it was a present from my husband who bought it in duty free and he was attracted by the name. Again I love the fact there are so many different ways a perfume will attract you to try it.

In the top this was a vanilla floral that reminded me faintly of Guerlain. As it dries down the green, tart rose comes into play. No sweet jamminess here. The vanilla gets subdued into a tonka supporting role. There’s a tiny bit of sandalwood and musk to deepen the floral. Mainly you are left with rose and vanilla with a little sharp bite. In the final drydown you are left with a typical vanilla.

Rose powder, rounded and soft, not the suffocating cloud kind, just a tender and delicate fragrance for when you want something warm to surround you. Love the stylish minimalistic design of the 30ml bottle. Pity it’s discontinued.

Quite a pleasant one. Definitely powdery, detectable mimosa. Sits close to skin.
Iris, delicate rose and sandalwood in the drydown.
Not my kind of thing, but certainly appealing for powdery fragheads.

Gorgeous! This is such a masterful blend that I can’t really distinguish what I’m smelling and when. All I know is, I love it from beginning to end. Sweet nectar that makes me want to take all my clothes off and roll around in it.
Other similar scents have had something very annoying in them, to me. I always wondered if it was Iris but clearly not, as people have pointed out it’s the most dominant part of the composition.

Asked a lady at the grocery store what she was wearing and this was it, with clothes of course. She lit up and her face mellowed out. after purchasing this I’ve come to know that when I caught a whiff of her the fragrance had probably had a chance to mellow out as well. This is that. A pepper filled with powder. The first spray is cloying and harsh but the dry down is a faded femme fatale. I used to spray it on my clothes the night before work to avoid the initial funk. The next morning I wear my clothes and the scent emerges with movement and I’d pick up the office phone trying not to sound dramatic or say hello like retired Maria Callas.

An ethereal, melancholic fragrance…yet very sultry and bewitching!
Iris, rose, patchouli and pink pepper,a stunning combination, yet it is the iris that is the winner in this,oh how a chorus of angels melts my heart with the sweet, powdery perfection.
This is a shining fragrance, and yes it is noir to me,it speaks of a melancholy feeling,a yearning to yesteryear, this has a feel of 1940’s vintage feel to me.
The rose is not prominent,it is just there in the background,it is the iris and patchouli that come to the forefront giving it that powdery yet dark sweetness and earthy essence feel.
This has moderate longevity and around 2 to 3 feet projection, people do comment, and I find both men and women compliment me on this.
Another discontinued gem, which I stocked up on thankfully,if you can check it out I would not blind buy, this is an acquired taste, and my taste acquired this very much!!
    Well done Francois Demachy…

After the short and quite original opening combining pink pepper and mimosa, I get the 2 floral notes, underlined by patchouli and vanilla.
The votes here put iris in the first place, but to my nose the rose is dominant. The battle between the two lasts for 5 or 6 hours, but the powdery scent of iris I prefer is clearly a bit weak compared to the power of the rose, giving this frag too much of a classical twist.
Though this website may not be the right place to say this, I mixed DN EDP at 50/50 proportions with Guerlain’s l’Heure Bleue EDP, and got a superb frag with a fancy dominant floral iris for 6 hours. The following skin scent is that of LHB which is not surprising as the longevity of LHB is better than that of DN. Anyway, I’m using now the 50-50 mix rather than DN alone and I’m very happy with this.
Someone asked if this frag is discontinued by Givenchy and I got the answer : yes it is (Aug. 2017), so I could buy 2 more bottles at 55% off to make a big flacon of my mix with LHB…

Dahlia flankers weren’t really ever on my testing list but Noir version came to my attention because the reviews here are listing this fragrance as being very powdery. Well, i’ll be among the few here posting a review on the positive side. I like it, soon turning into love it. It’s like a variation of something you’ve already smelled before in the begining but wait for the drydown. On my skin and clothes this powder is bitter! Powdery bitter sheer beauty! Gorgeous bitter – almost green like oakmoss, galbanum and iris all together. I dare to say a sacrilege here-that this is a very abstract, post modern, structured interpretation of a good old oak moss chypre without anything from a standard formula of a chypre, from that perspective, it’s a fake chypre. Think of a cosmopolitan city with old history where its architecture is a mix style of colonial to Art Deco and industrial buildings, brick, wood , concrete and glass all together. And the powder is not at all soapy. For me Ivoire by Balmain is soapy, DN is just green bitter powder. I am a mother of 3 and never used baby powder that much but I know the smell of it. Dahlia noir is not baby powder. It has indeed something from Love Chloe, but DN one is a much more sophisticated but green like powder and turns into something more thick and almost creamy. The green feeling is given by the pepper and the orange, i guess, reminding me of the bitterness gorgeousness a la eau de merveille- I guess this is the pine-y, Christmas tree vibe other reviewers mention. And this is the way DN stands out from being a boring meh.

A personal favorite it is. Dahlia Noir presents an interesting combination of Iris and pepper, and is highly versatile throughout the day. In the morning she is mostly powdery and floral, bright with a hint of spice, yet before sunrise she gradually descends to a moderately woody scent with tender sweetness enhanced by vanilla. Highly captivating
Imagery: she wears the asymmetric little black dress with details in lace, and a bronze coloured moth neckless for a Gothic edge. Delicate yet naughty, enchanted indeed.
On the other hand, I think the problem is it’s not-so-above-average longevity, she only persists approximately 4-5 hours on me. Also, Noir is not a typical scent for highly matured women I think, the pepper makes her a little bit sassy.
    7.5-8 /10.

This was a serendipitous purchase..I mistakenly bought this. I was thinking I had smelled it and loved it in the store but now I realize it was Dahlia Divin. But this…this..is..me. Rose and pink peppercorn is my jam. It smells good on me and I THOUGHT I had smelled every possible combo..nope! This is almost indescribably delicious, sensual and womanly. It’s not sweet…if it’s powdery it’s the powder smell that you get from an iris. If you are familiar with the smell of iris it’s so soft but intoxicating..mix it it with my Rose/Pepper combo and oooohhh. You have to know real flower nuances to know the quality of this perfume. It is rounded out by the wood and vanilla and that is what you will be left with after wearing this for 12+ hours..spicy wood vanilla. As a side note..hours after I sprayed this on my husband said “I don’t know what you are spraying around here but it’s awesome!” That’s high praise!

Simply put, this smells like a powdery Chloe eau de parfum. It is quite screechy at the opening, but pretty. Nothing noir about it.

I’ve had this a while. Love it still. My hubby loves it too. He has allergies but does not complain about this one. It’s feminine and not over bearing but not weak either. It’s lovely and nothing offensive about it. Perfect for me! An example of perfumes I like are Jimmy Choo, Givenchy Indecence, Bvlgari perfumes, coco chanel. I also love amber, vanilla, jasmin in my perfumes. I have 100+ perfumes. I usually buy EDP’s because the EDT’s are too weak for my taste.

This is Elie Saab’s Le Parfum Rose Couture cousin. A powdery rose with a hint of spices. It is definitely a “serious” scent, nothing bubbly/flirty/joyful aboout it, but very alluring nonetheless. I think Dahlia Noir is perfect for a confident and sophisticated woman.

Dark powdery rose with an airy soft pepperynote. Clean and Fresh and almost skinclose. Longlasting on my skin.
Mörk pudrig ros med en luftig mjuk pepparnot. ren och fräsch och lite hudnära. Väldigt hållbar på min hud.

The opening is interesting but when the first cloud disappears, baby powder is all that remains. A very expensive baby powder at 110 Euros.

Dahlia Noir is a little bit of everything. It is flowers, powder and warm vanilla, sexy, dominant and a bit vintage. It is very loud and powerful (on clothes). And sexy. It could easily be advertised with “Lady marmalade” movie screen-shots.
On skin, the beast behaves a little better. It is not that loud, but it is pretty enjoyable.
In my opinion, it is not an office safe fragrance. This seductive fragrance is perfect for night out or date. It’s also kind of romantic and warming on the cold wind..

I’ve had this perfume since it’s first appearance. While I don’t wear it every day, I like to wear it when I can because it is so NON offensive but yet you can detect it in a soft way. I can smell it for quite a while but I usually spray 3 sprays when I apply perfume. I’m about to buy a new bottle because it’s very feminine and my husband, who dislikes strong perfume, loves it. I think that perfumes smell differently on everyone. I like the spicy ones with vanilla and some sweetness, but not too much along with patchouli and amber, although this one does not have amber it smells like it does, and tonka. This perfume says….I am feminine and I am here. I don’t think that the perfumes that are associated with this perfume, you know, on the side, really reflect anything about this fragrance. I think it’s one of Givenchy’s best….besides the old Organza Indecence, my old favorite…..

Here is a fragrance that is until now a question mark for me. Test after test, it has been disclosing itself to me and my perception of it has been changing, but it is still a mistery.
The first time I tested it, I immediatelly noticed intense notes of iris and rose, which make it very powdery, and baby powder came to my mind right away. My first impression was, “How can this have anything to do with a noir perfume?”. But, after some minutes, powerful notes of patchouli, bitter mandarin and a sort of caramelized tonka bean came to play. They didn’t seem to fit in with all those powdery flower notes. The fragrance looked confused and a bit melancholic, even sad, because of the powder and the patchouli.
One more try, and now the powdery notes reminded me of fragrances from the 1940s, 1950s, but without all the depth and complexity of their composition. There was something of film noir in the air. Was this the “noir” of the fragrance? I could not think of a circumstance to wear it. It was not a perfume to a daily use; I thought it was very serious, stern, not jovial or sensual at all.
My sample was almost finished, and I finally started to get used with the seriousness of the fragrance. Soon after applied, the sillage was strong during the first hour. From then on, it got weaker and weaker very quickly, and in 3 hours all I got was a skin scent. Despite the intense initial sillage, it turned very soft soon after, and did not last long (about 6 hours), which I think is very little for an EDP which seemed to promise a lot of intensity. Not bad for me, for I was a little disturbed with all that circumspection. Now the powder and the patchouli prevailed, and I finally understood the “noir” of the name, in the vintage, misterious and obscure notes.
One of the most difficult fragrances I’ve ever tried, I think it is vital to test several times before buying it.

If you’re looking for a scent that fits the description of a cold scent, just smell Dahlia Noir and you know what?! I love that kind of perfumes. There is something mysterious about this fragrance. It’s beautiful in a very sophisticated way, yet shy. It’s not screaming: “Hey, everybody, look at me, because I am here!” For me it works during the day, but it feels very attractive in night time. Someone wrote that it’s suitable for a conservative woman and indeed, I almost agree, however I see the woman wearing DN as an introvert with a very strong personality at the same time.

Very peppery opening (awesome!) which I just love. Wish that note would stay through to the end. Mandarin is non existent to me in this one. Light rose. Yes powdery/musky. Nice deep woody/vanilla dry down. I settled into this perfume from the moment it hit my skin .. was very comfortable wearing it and I must confess it brings out an edgy (and hopefully sexy…lol) attitude in me 🙂

I am one of those people who simply cannot take a scent at face value and smell it out of a clear container to find out if I like it or not. I need to know how it is packaged and watch an ad or two to find out what demographic it is targeted to, how the company has chosen to present the scent and how I can “expect to feel” wearing it. I was initially drawn to the scent by watching the featured ad with Mariacarla Boscono writhing around in black and white in a flowy dress. To me she seems like the perfect face for this fragrance.
Normally pink pepper makes me nauseous and it is one of the notes I cannot stand in perfume, but here it is extremely well-blended with the florals. This is dark, complex and elegant and thus it speaks to the image of myself that I want to project to the world with my style and, yes, scent. Still, I am not in love with it – it is too distant to let me love it, and somehow that makes me like it even more…

  33. :

A great baby powder perfume with a bit of a darker side! But not much. Incredibly luxurious bottle that stuns. The name is ill-suited if you ask me. Lasts long; about 6 hours; and has limited sillage. I could smell it on myself (and kept taking whiffs) but others could not. I love the perfume as a baby powder-fetish-niche type, but probably not for daily wear.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

Finding it hard to believe Noir’s lack of fans! The mandarin opening was a very pleasant surprise indeed. To me, however, the pink pepper steals the show. This keps going… and going… I am overjoyed at the lack of Patchoulli on my skin – usually a big no-no with my chemistry. Tonka bean and vanilla in the base – how very smart, elegant and comforting.
    Lovely powdery dry-down.
I’m wearing Versace Crystal Noir on the other wrist… can’t believe I’d never noticed how comparable they are. Pink pepper seems the main difference, as well as the somewhat more powdery dry-down and may just be giving Dahlia the edge here…
Now, how do I get my hands on a bottle???

A dangerous cryptic dance in a dusky crypt.
To create these kinds of ambiences is not an easy task, only real perfume masters like Francois Demachy are able to create and depict such moods.
The image of a femme fatale is very good depicted in Dahlia noir thanks to the clever use of patchouli.
The feminine aspect of this perfume is again cleverly made by proper amount of sensual floral notes of rose and iris, softened by mimosa.
The whole sensual-fatal composition is wraped in a very smooth base of vanilla, tonka and sandalwood.
The base notes here are very well connected to patchouli. They don’t destroy the dark and mysterious aspect of patchouli.
All I can say is that it’s another masterpiece (in its own genre) by honorable Francois Demachy.
    Update:
The image of femme fatale in Dahlia Noir is modernized. It lacks the true darkness and diabolical aspect of a real femme fatale perfume. Its a meek, shy or exhausted femme fatale!
Neveretheless, it’s still better than many generic and boring girlish scents out there.

Dahlia Noir is among those perfumes which I can’t detect its components separately; and that’s what I adore. A harmonious blend of flowers with an exact feel of powerdiness has emerged as a mild aroma with an imaginary color of the bottle. Really nice and suitable for those who want to smell delicately.

I tried it several times and every time it fails. It’s unsupportable on the skin and I cannot bear this surgery sweetness from the mix of patchouli, pink pepper and rose. I tested pink paper in several fragrancies so far and it is always quite a sweet ingredient. Pink pepper and patchouli is just too much taking into account a huge long lasting power of this scent. A real poison.
But recently I tried it on the clothes and it is much better and less powerful. But any case I prefer the flowery mimosa opening. Dry down is still too sweet for my tastes even if however less sweet then on the skin. BTW it’s not too powdery as other reviewers mention. So definitely there is something to do with the skin chemistry.
The name matches well with this scent. The opening is very attractive and appealing. And once the victim is captured she is slowly killed with a sweet poison.

Very dry, powdery and gloomy scent. Mimosa and iris supported by pink pepper on a very pale base.
It has its moments when rose and orange? pop out now and then, but otherwise it’s too grey for me.
    Dark, dangerous, sexy? Never.
It reminds me of a very conservative woman, who wears grey clothes, immaculate coiffure and never smiles.

I bought it without smelling before, was a blind purchase on my skin the smell is purely patchouly, tonka and cumin bitter sweet beacuse of patchuly. In my skin is a male dirty parfume. Powdery notes aren´t on my skin and i needed a powder scent.

Unlike most of the reviews here, I actually do get a bit of a “noir” vibe from this one. My skin plays up the sandalwood a bunch, as well as the patchouli and tonka bean. It’s very creamy, sensual, and warm. There’s some powdery undertones, and a bit of floral wisps here and there, but for me, this is not the powdery floral that so many others get. I had my mother try this, and it smells entirely different on her. I must say though, the way it smells on me is so delightfully rich yet still somehow airy, it’s very unique. It’s almost like the softer sister of Versace’s Crystal Noir.

  44. :

Srictly analyzing it is really close to baby powder, but overall it’s not a sweet innocent comfort fragrance. It has some melancholy, it has some pain, fatality. Elegance with a hint of vulnerability. Very complex. I like to wear it in automn, when the light and colours of summer still can be seen but what you feel is cool air on your skin. It:s a perfume of woman with a secret, that makes her both strong and weak.

  45. :

i say this one hard to judege with first impression. Is this chypre floral? i wonder. The four key notes: oakmoss, labdanum, patchouli, bergamot. There’s only patchouli in this perfume and no moist feeling at all. All is about powder. Dusty chypre…i guess powdery chypre is better.
It’s not mysterious enough. A bit Sweet, kind of cool and i try to detect the dry down. It’s not as good as expected. This is Givenchy and not sport scent. Longevity is average.
i think it’ll take some time to discover this Dahlia Noir.

YES,a baby Powder kind of smell, in the genre of kenzo flower. Zero projection and longevity, I wonder why they made a lighter version (l’eau) and not an intense one, since this one is already too weak for an eau de parfum. Nice, comforting, but nothing spectacular. I will pass.

    Deeeeeee……vine, utterly divine!
A gorgeous posh perfume. I douse myself in it at the perfume counter and i soak the tester cards with it and put them in my drawers amongst my clothes, and that’s what i always do with the tester cards rather than bin them, and it’s better than using scented drawer liners which don’t last more than a couple of weeks if you’re lucky.
A lovely strong floral scent which i absolutely adore.

I fell unexpectedly in love with Dahlia Divin not long ago, so I was excited to try this, but for the life of me I cannot figure out why anyone would put these two scents under the same name umbrella. Noir is boring where Divin intrigues, old-fashioned where Divin is youthful, clingy where Divin first melts and then blossoms off of the skin.

Ok, i have read a few reviews and:
    1. nope this smells nothing like Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood, which is sumptuous, sexy and a bit dirty/naughty. rich, textured, womanly, soft, beautiful, intriguing. everything in fact, that Dahlia noir is not…
    2. yes, it does smell like baby wipes.
    3. i agree, this scent does not match it’s price tag or its name.
i tested in town and 2 people commented…due to powerful sillage to begin with! i’d say about 2 metres….arrrggghhhhhh. it terrified me. they both said it smelt like the air freshener machines you have in public toilets. i am afraid that stayed with me and suddenly from thinking “i know that smell?!” to…”yes! the local lavatories”. i wish they hadn’t said it, but they did. sorry Givenchy. sorry Dahlia Noir fans.
Noir? this is the least Noir thing i’ve ever whiffed.
i clearly do not understand this fragrance and after the initial choking “cheap” OTT “feminine” opening…the dry down is rather pleasant and powdery and i am also sorry to say, non-descript. i actually find that the combination of brash and synthetic notes that set it off, followed by the too subtle dry down confusing…they don’t fit each other IMO. it’s as if they thought…”this smells nice, that’ll do”…signed it off, then rushed off for the Bank Holiday, and forgot to put the final ingredient in.
sorry Dahlia Noir…i had high hopes after reading a lot of the reviews on here. I can’t believe this was made by the same house as Amarige.
to end on a positive note, nice bottle and boîte.

Hmmm I would say this is a powdery baby powder-ish fragrance. it is a bit unusual in that it is not fresh and clean but has a dirtiness to it. Maybe a bit like Vivianne Westwood Boudoir? Not sure if I will keep it but I have had quite a few compliments when I have worn it.

it is very fruity and sour on the beginning…. than little bit rosy
and later when it dries it becomes little bit powdery.. but very soft..
i dont understand why it is described as extra powdery… it is not extra powdery at all
    very interesting nice scent
    just one question:
if it remembers you baby powder, what baby powder do u use or did ???
i just dont see the connection..

Perfect on a warm, rainy afternoon.
Dahlia Noir (EDP) opens brightly with juicy orange and fresh mimosa, then swiftly becomes predominantly musky. A subtly sensuous, powdery, salty “clean skin” vanillic musk, with a smooth, buttery iris, providing a delectable backdrop for moist, crisp pink rose petals.
If I had to compare this to another scent, I’d describe Dahlia Noir (EDP) as a modernized, fresher, zesty, creamier, far less suffocatingly sweet take on/version of Ombre Rose. (I personally find Ombre Rose to be somewhat smothering, too strong, too sweet, too linear, and a little bit (DARE I SAY?) dated. At times I can appreciate it, sometimes love it, but overall I’m far fonder of the fresher, zestier Dahlia Noir!)
It’s like taking a snooze after indulging in a whole tub of vanilla ice cream with honey drizzled all over it.
Dahlia Noir (EDP) puts me in mind of clean, moist skin with a delicate layer of oil/sweat. I find this scent comforting and refreshing. A nice “pick-me-up” for days/evenings when you’re in the mood for something a little more natural smelling.
My best friend says it smells like dill. Strange but true, and I’m inclined to agree!
Easy to over-spray, so beware; it’s really not required. Better to top up in a few hours than to over-apply. Keep it low-key.
It has relatively good lasting power (up to 8 hours on my skin), projects to arm length (with only a couple of sprays), and becomes skin-close after around 3-4 hours.
(By the by, is there definitely no frangipani here?)

Rose, rose, rose. Powdery rose. I wear Dahlia Noir on days at work when I have to tell people things they’ll find hard to deal with and I want to soften the impact. It is feminine, gentle an
