Agree with Chazas’ review below except it did last a little longer on me than the couple of hours he mentions. definitely NOT a longevity beast though. All around a good scent and inexpensive enough to apply often just a hassle that you have to

‘D’ definitely have a Pineapple and Ginger notes with Ambery dry-down which are not listed. It is green, floral and musky.
Great scent with L’homme vibe, yet would not call it a clone.
Few people said that it has incredible performance up to 10-12 hours, yet from few wears I had, I can say that it has only 1-2 hour projection, after that mark it becomes more of a skin scent for about 4-6 hours. Have to go with at least 5 to 6 sprays.

I absolutely love YSL’s L’homme and consider it my signature scent. Where it hurts is the longevity after the first hour or two, so when I heard about this ‘clone’ I was ecstatic.
First of all, side by side there definitely is a difference (as expected) between the two. I’m pretty particular/picky about ‘clones’ and I have to say Zara D lacks the richness, balance, and depth that L’homme has which gives it that “ahh”/amazing factor every time I smell it. Compared to L’homme, Zara D has much more of a synthetic and rather soapy lavender smell to my nose on initial spray and smelling up close which was actually offputting at first.
That being said, after testing/wearing it, I will say the sillage and scent trail it gives off is actually much nicer and closer to L’homme. Given some air, it has that warm, soft, inviting familiarity that I so love in L’homme, to about 80% to my nose, the rest of the 20% lacking due to the lack of the depth/richness and also slightly synthetic vibe.
Longevity for this one is about average/below average for me, projecting and creating a nice sillage for about 45 mins-1 hour then fading into a skin scent for about 4 hours. (I tend not to overspray and limit to 3-4 sprays because I don’t like the synthetic opening, but am sure if I did overspray, could manage to get a few more hours out of this) Definitely not the performance I was hoping for but I also didn’t expect much considering a 100ml bottle cost me under $20.
Overall, another nice take by Zara and a great cheaper alternative to YSL L’homme but certainly not a exact ‘clone’ in my books. 7.5/8 out of 10 for me.

    Quick update:
The more I wear this, the more floral it seems to become.
That’s not a bad thing though, since my gf stole my bottle and I had to crack open my backup just to continue wearing the stuff LOL. Anyway, just be sure you’re down with a STRONG soapy violet and musk (with a touch of pineapple) before going nuts on the trigger; because more than once I’ve been given the compliment of “you smell beautiful.” Beautiful? On a man? Okay………

    It’s good. VERY good.
I’ll say this – it’s certainly not as bright as L’homme, but it’s an excellent replacement for the current formulation.
The opening is missing the ginger note, making it less bright and soapy, but the rest of the notes are definitely there. The initial blast is incredibly familiar, but there’s an added pineapple note. Soon after, you get a bit of apple, then tonka and amber, which adds some creaminess. About 15 minutes in, you start to get the musk, which only gets stronger and stronger in the drydown.
In total, I get about 10 hours with this juice, and the projection is actually quite decent – MUCH BETTER than the current L’homme. Just be aware that 1 hour in it becomes a very musky skin scent that basically lasts and lasts. Nevertheless, at this price, I couldn’t ask for more.
Unfortunately, Zara frags are usually only available for 1 year and then disappear into oblivion. That’s why I was more than happy to buy 2 bottles each of this and Y collection, before all the hype begins on YouTube. It’s just that good. So as far as I’m concerned, L’homme is now officially obsolete. Thanks to everyone here who put me onto this splendid juice!
Scent – 10/10 – for value and similarity
    Longevity – 8.5/10
    Projection – 7.5/10
    Overall – 9.5/10 – ABSOLUTELY no question.

90% YSL L’Homme clone – not bad for the price although original is a little bit creamier in the opening and better blended. Still, the drydown is almost the same and for 12 euro/100ml you cant go wrong with this 🙂
If you like YSL L’Homme but you are on the budget – grab Zara D, it’s a real deal !

It smells so nice, it could be YSL L’Homme fraiche, the cons is that it is so weak, after 3 minutes is very difficult to smell it.

I just got this. Not 100% identical to YSL’s L’Homme, IMHO L’Homme has more depth to it. Anyhow, ZARA’s fragrance smells absolutely gorgeous for the price it comes it is a recommended buy.

Very very close to l’homme. Infact i might not be able to tell the difference. Performance is better, so is the projection.
Ladies and Gentleman (mainly gentleman), look no further!
    10 bucks, what a steal.

The 1st of the D-A-Y Collection, ZARA D Collection is an aromatic and well balanced scent with a ginger-apple feel throughout, accompanied by hints of spices, wood and citrus. I think of its remarkable masculinity when I sense it, and I feel a lot of commonalities with YSL L’Homme. I swear ZDC is an outrageous striking clone of YSL l’Homme.
ZDC fragrance welcomes you with a tangy citrus opening, that calms down to reveal a very pleasant, relaxing ginger note whose sharpness has been craftily masked by the cedar. The ginger in there is both woody and a little animalic, yet very warm. It is not spicy but slightly bitter, sometimes even coming off sweet with a hint of cinnamon.
It happens that the ginger and cedar blend very well, and are then joined in by the contemporary green basil and violet leaf, giving the scent a more herbaceous background. After a bit, the cedar really shines and gives the fragrance a gorgeous vanilla-like richness, which is anyhow ain’t no powdery. A bit of cider apple and sweet pineapple give to the heart a touch of modernity, though neither apple not pineapple are over-standing.
The remarkable thing about this cologne is that although its individual notes are quite sharp, as it includes citruses, spices and vetiver, they all work together to create a very smooth and pleasant aroma. There isn’t a tinge of harshness in this cologne, and it flows beautifully. The lack of harsh base notes also contribute to the pleasantness. Rather, the dry amber, the vetiver and the musk embrace your body for many hours, without offending or annoying the people around you.
ZDC is a perfume that goes through stages of top, middle, and base notes, like a journey that will take you some place you kinda wanna go, kinda don’t… It deserves lot of praise.
It is pretty versatile in term of occasions, mostly recommended for spring and fall mid-seasons, I would wear it neither in summer being too aromatic nor in winter being a tittle bit too weak. It has a moderate longevity and projection. This fragrance of contrasts is a unique combination of luxury, art, and modernity for timeless elegance. Perfectly fine as a work-appropriate scent for the 20’s up to 40’s crowd.
I would like to state that this scent is absolutely beautiful. Seriously, everyone seems to like this fragrance, especially the ladies. The overall scent has a very radiant, soothing, and gentle vibe that is almost therapeutic.
