Description

Britney SpearsCurious is a lively, bright and effervescent fruity floral, aimed at twentysomethings with attitude. The Curious woman is romantic, independent and mischievous, one who’s not afraid of risk. This is Britney Spears‘ first fragrance in partnership with Coty Inc., launched in 2004. It became an instant hit with the public. The composition is based on the notes of white flowers surrounded with vanilla and musk nuances. It opens with fresh lotus, mouthwatering pear and magnolia. The intensive floral heart is composed of tuberose, jasmine and pink cyclamen. The sensual base is composed of musk, vanilla and precious woods.

The nose behind this fragrance is Claude Dir.

That one holds warm memories. Curious was only celebrity perfume I have purchased over and over in years. When I tested I even wasn’t aware of brand, I was attracted by juicy freshness. It smells like white flowers with crisp pear. Sometimes it was pure magnolia soap, especially in spring. I loved it because of creamy sweetness in the base notes. It didn’t last long though.

I have already reviewed this, but I went to the movies and saw “A Simple Favor” and in one scene, Anna Kendrick goes to a bathroom and there is an ORIGINAL bottle of curious sitting on the counter.
I imagine the Blake Lively’s of the world wearing a fragrance like this. Classy, sexy, clean and iconic.

Curious does not resemble Tocca Stella in any way. Stella is warm, woody citrus. Curious is clean fruity magnolia and pear. Both are lovely, but nothing alike. Strange that so many people compared them. Was there a batch of one or the other that went awry?

Starts off powdery/musky before fading to a faint, tuberose-influenced white floral. As the tuberose fades, it’s gradually replaced with the same sort of “pear” note that is in the Dior J’adore fragrances. Does NOT smell like Tocca Stella, which is citrusy with a hint of spicy warmth.

My 17 year old daughter just acquired this. She got it for free from a private seller who threw it in with a purchase of Circus Fantasy which my DD adores. It was a blind ‘buy’ but she figured she had nothing to lose as it was free.
This in no way resembles the soft, light, girlish fragrance that most of the reviews describe. Even to my 52 year old nose this smells ‘old ladyish’. This is strong, heavy stuff that I’m hard pressed to describe as pleasant, for any age. The bottle is appealing enough but unfortunately it came without the charms and DD was disappointed.
I’m wondering if this has been reformulated or if the juice has turned (although it is clear – not yellow).

A perfume that I thought I would at least like but turned out to be a disappointnent. After the initial spray I smelled a very faint trace of perfume like it’s very watered down.Light ozonic floral. I thought to myself “Is this it?”. After a while the tuberose, musk and vanilla combo started to emerge and I find not smell pleasant at all it’s making me sick, and I love tuberose! Faint trace of magnolia, was expecting more of a fluorish. The vanilla base in the end ruined it, does not mix well with the white floral bouquet.

This is one of those random ones that I’ve had forever and almost try not to like but somehow it works so well with my chemistry and lasts FOREVER. Watery, clean floral at the top with a musky vanilla woody base and that’s when I like it the most.

This was my first real perfume. My mom got me this for Christmas when I was 17 years old. I loved it! and it didn’t last long because I used it so much. I was never a Britney Spears fan but I do enjoy her perfumes and this one has got to be my favorite! Reminds me of my youth 🙂

Sophisticated, soft, and warm. However, it is not my usual type but I like it. I also like the bottle design!
I have a second bottle of 30ml, if someone interested in getting it, would be happy for a SWAP 🙂 send me PM if you have questions 🙂

Well, it’s been a long time since I’ve had this perfume. Truth be told, I was sort of nervous about going back to it til I chatted with a Britney fan on a Britney forum that assured me the problem I had with one of the first Curious bottles wasn’t going to happen this time around. Been a long time since I had that first bottle. It came with the pretty little sprayer and I had noticed that the fluid inside the bottle had turned a piss yellow color and the smell was turning slightly. I was thankfully almost done with the bottle and could use it up before the scent became completely unusable. So that experience had turned me off off big bottles of Curious and the other few Curious bottles I have in my collection are the smaller bottles and it had still been years since I had used them up and not replaced with a new bottle.
Anyway, I chatted with the fan on the Britney forum and decided to give Curious another shot. Being a reader of the reviews on here, I decided to try getting the smallest bottle possible so I could see how I felt about the reformulated version. I didn’t really mind the charms missing. I keep my empty bottles and couldn’t help noticing how my my charms and the string are starting to look a bit warped. One bottle had the silver string breaking completely and I ended up looping the charms on a strand of regular white thread. I’ll keep doing that even if the charms keep deteriorating from age and how hot it gets here. I’m just glad the basic bottle is still pretty much the same since it is a VERY memorable bottle and such a pretty blue color. And it’s still beyond me why Britney/Team Britney didn’t do more Curious perfumes besides the dupe in the pink bottle and In Control.
As for the juice in the bottle, I have to be honest and say I don’t really remember how original Curious smelled since it’s been so long since I had a bottle of the original Curious. This fragrance is a light one that smells clean and refreshing. Didn’t smell synthetic to me. It’s a pretty smelling perfume on its own but I don’t think it stands on its own against other perfumes in Britney’s perfume line because I think she has others that smell better.

Wow, this is a LOT different to what I remember. I remember a very pretty, almost aquatic scent but what i get now is a very tuberose driven scent. I’m not disappointed, because it’s definitely what I’d call quality but it isnt the walk down memory lane I wanted. Oh well, it was very cheap at least.

On the year of release, the superb and sparkly bottle caught my eye.
IRL, it surprisingly looked and felt expensive.
I heard the 100 ml bottle used to cost over 60 USD or something?
Today, you can get it for 16 euros.
That’s the least they can do because they changed both the formula and the bottle, didn’t they?
Now the bottle is bare and hardly refracts the light because it’s made of cheaper material.
It doesn’t smell the same anymore.
I clearly remember that years ago, that juice was intoxicating.
The sort of well-balanced fruity floral I adore, with a modern and optimistic vibe.
Sun-drenched magnolia and delectable pear were so bright and fresh!
Background feminine floral gracefully rounded the whole ensemble.
The scent wasn’t girly cheesy or bubblegum sweet, which seemed quite unexpected from the esthetics that bottle design might project.
Today still, it isn’t girly or sugary.
But it lost that splendid opening and the pretty flowery bouquet that formed that fragrance DNA.
I hardly get any magnolia or pear…
All upbeat liveliness and bubbly personality are gone 🙁
Instead, an exaggerated aquatic tone overwhelms from opening to dry down.
Tuberose feels almost rubbery, thus making me lament the initial bursting juiciness from the original even more.
I’m affirmative the original formula wasn’t heavy on aquatic and tuberose notes!
Floral and/or fruity body lotion underneath Curious diminishes that unpleasant effect.
The original didn’t wear very long on my skin, merely 3 hours.
The new one lasts longer, about 5 hours.
I read the body mist (the plain cylinder bottle) is even worse, which I readily believe.

OK, I’m confused. I blind-bought this, because I thought, that since I love white florals, I can’t go wrong with this one. But when I got it, it smelled really bad, I mean really really. Like some old mould with a hint of floral. I put it in my drawer and sprayed it from time to time to see if it doesn’t change over the time.
But one day, I had an idea – I have an old bottle of Juicy Couture – Viva La Juicy, which I also don’t adore, because to me it smells just like cheap caramel lollipop. So I sprayed on myself one spray of Viva La Juicy and one spray of Curious and that was it. This combination smells absolutely DIVINE! And since I started to wear Curious like this, suddenly when I spray it by itself, it doesn’t smell off at all! What is this magic? It smells like it’s supposed to be – nice and clean, inoffensive white floral, which I can finally enjoy!

Revlon brought out some shampoo in 1996 which I loved the smell of. I would smell my hair continuously, and I remember getting a compliment while out in a nightclub that I smell like I just got out of the tub. When this was brought out I placed the smell instantly. My tastes have changed since I was 16 and this is definitely suited to that age group.

This was my first perfume! I was 13 years old, but not a fan of Britney though. I’ve stop wearing it for years because a lot of girls wore it when it came out, but I bought it again a couple of weeks ago. The bottle is not as pretty as the original one… the new one is very cheap. It smells good. It’s a perfect floral perfume for Spring/Summer. The longevity is very short 2-3 hours Unfortunately. On my skin it smells like a fresh magnolia bouquet with creamy musk.

When they say this smells like Finesse shampoo from the 80’s, they aren’t kidding! Or some other similar shampoo scent. Interestingly enough, this does not remind me of any of the fragrances listed here under ‘this reminds me of..’. Ralph Lauren Blue is more ‘grown up’ and a little more complex than this, and Tocca Stella is also more ‘grown up’ smelling to my nose.
Curious is a simple, clean, light-hearted fragrance. Not overpowering at all. Not synthetic nor cloying. Not overly sweet at all. Just a simple light clean smell. The bottle is also kind of fun. Gosh, I can’t believe this was created in 2004..and she was already ‘around’ a while by then..wow, that makes me feel old!! LOL..Anyway, longevity with this is not great, but many clean type fragrances seem to only last a couple hours on me. But for $9.99USD for a 1-ounce bottle at Ross, can’t really complain! Will be nice in the heat and humidity that we have here, for easy breezy carefree days. I think this will be especially good for days just lounging, hanging out, not doing much of anything at all..those kinds of days!! 🙂

It was nice and strong when I first sprayed it. The pear was definitely there. But it went away really quickly. The musk and vanilla builds up if you re-apply it a few times.

Wow Elizabeth Arden had gotten so cheap with this bottle, not only does it not come with the cubic crystals and heart charms anymore they got rid of them in general! It drove me nuts when I would lose the charms and now the bottle comes with a cheap spray cap that is now plastic it’s so cheap looking now and hurts my heart. They don’t even fill the bottle up anymore I got gift sets at Kohl’s and half of the juice was gone. Shame in Elizabeth Arden for cheapening a beautiful bottle. Curious is so hard to find these days Ross rarely even carries it anymore.

Magnolias (lemony M. grandiflora and “wax-y” M. soulangeana) + mock orange + strawberry? + something sweet + woody turpenine-like note. Akin to Blue by Ralph Lauren but sweter and without the animalic note. Too sweet to be depressive, too “waxy” to be fresh. But I like it.

I have been on a celebrity fragrance kick as of late…and have been unimpressed with most of them…with the exception of a few of Jessica Simpsons, Rhianna’s and Queen Latifah’s. This fragrance is no exception. I really wanted to like it, the price is right and the bottle is unusual and quite pretty. The opening is so faint that I could barely smell it. It took at least 8 sprays to be discernible. It wasn’t awful…it was tolerable enough but was gone in 10 minutes. I mean, completely gone. There was no middle or drydown. It went from a light pear scent to nothing. I almost get the feeling there is something wrong with my bottle of juice. There MUST be. Reading some of the reviews, though it seems my experience was not unique.

    Very floral and simple
The lasting power is 8 hours
    The silage is amazing

I did try multiple times and just realize that Britney’s fragrance lines are not for me (including the Fantasy line). These fragrances are very unique but in a strange way to my taste. I guess I’m not used to certain floral scents in order to enjoy this one (such as “Cyclamen” note in this one…or “Genet” note in Fantasy Intimate). Not sure because it was combined with tuberose, jasmine, magnolia and lotus, the combination smelled very weird, and I cannot describe it, like “corn starch” smell or “flour” smell in baking, but on steroid level to my nose and knowledge (maybe a tat similar to the cotton flower in Marc Jacobs Cotton EDT which I can’t see myself wearing at all!?!?!?).
All the bottles are very cute but I just cannot fathom the juice inside them 🙂

  23. :

    4 out of 5

Wow, I’m not sure why I haven’t reviewed this fragrance sooner. This is definitely such a classy and fresh scent. The magnolia and tuberose add a small amount of creaminess that natrually comes from these flowers and it makes it so luxurious. This is like an expensive floral soap that would be made in italy. The lotus and pear make this light and airy, and not too sweet at all. This is just fresh as a daisy and I cannot recommend this enough for people looking for a very fresh and floral scent for spring and summer. Speaking of summer, this absolutely dazzles in the heat so wear this proudly all year!

I cold-bought Curious by Britney Spears because it was the first fragrance with a significant cyclamen note that I could find and afford. When I received it, I was pleasantly surprised by the cute aqua jewel-shaped bottle and I loved the scent!
I’m not sure I can pick out the cyclamen, but it has the timbre of cyclamen that I love so much (dusty, icy, aloof, introverted). It’s sophisticated, intense and distinctive, but not too sweet whatsoever. Other reviews are correct that it has no longevity or silage, so it’s also safe for not bothering anyone. Pretty much I would use this to experience a unique scent for a few minutes throughout the day (something that I enjoy doing rather rather than committing to smelling like one thing everywhere I go for any extended period). It definitely doesn’t have the usual perfumey smell that people who don’t like perfume complain about.
The top notes say pear and magnolia, but (especially if you want to know what this smells like) I smell davana, davana, davana. I happen to really like davana and this is cheaper than the essential oil. So this is an interesting scent, more like an essential oil in its non-perfumey character, short sillage and longevity.

I vaguely remember owning this scent when it came out and was so pleasantly surprised when I repurchased it the other day. Such a wonderful floral daytime scent. Definitely a classic in it’s own right by now. Curious is one of my faves from the Britney line, love love love this.

Boy, I had forgotten how much I loved this perfume. I had a bottle of it back in 2006 and sprayed it with abandon. I loved it, but when it was empty I moved onto something else. I recently purchased a big bottle…. mostly because now it costs next to nothing, but also for just nostalgia. At first spray, I was reminded of how amazing this scent is. Yes, she is a watery fruity floral. Yes, you will probably have to reapply throughout the day, but there is something elegant about it too. I didn’t or couldn’t perceive this elegance when I owned it before, but now I see a quiet maturity and grace in this cheap as chips celebrity scent. I have worn it so often lately that my bottle is already half gone but the since the cost is so low, I won’t wait nearly as long to repurchase when this one goes dry. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that I REALLY want one of those beautiful atomizer bottles they put out back in the day.

This will always be a well known smell. And that’s because it smells amazing! Such a fresh girly scent. But not “too young” in my opinion. I am almost 30 and I can still pull this off. I adore this scent.

  29. :

    5 out of 5

An absolute classic. Sold like hot cakes for several reasons….
    #1 – The obvious…it smells amazing.
#2 – Britney’s name is attached to it and this came out in 2004 when not every celebrity had a fragrance line.
    #3 – It’s affordable
#4 – Packaging is cute as hell.
#5 – It’s promotion was very well done and widely done all throughout the world. And don’t even get me started on how amazing she looked in the commercial.
Anyway…to sum this up…the scent itself is great. Will always be one of the best celebrity perfumes on the market. The packaging is cute. The scent is quality. I get about 6-7 hours of duration from this baby. And the scent it quite versatile. It’s very floral but it’s not a sugar bomb like a lot of celebrity scents these days so this is an amazing day time perfume, even for most professions. It’s clean and won’t offend anyone.
Britney continues to dominate the celebrity fragrance world (along with a few others like JLO and Paris Hilton). Her scents are always quality…and always last (with the exception of Island Fantasy which is weak as hell). Two thumbs up Britney. I’m sure that several women out there were teenagers when they bought this and still wear it today in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
YES…it’s THAT versatile! An absolute love!
    Scent Itself – 9.5/10
    Performance – 8/10
    Overall Rating – 9/10

This was one of my first perfumes. I remember falling in love with it at the department store when it first came out. It was rather pricey then, but came in a cute decorated bottle with a blue tasseled antique sprayer on it. Just adorable. And the scent was delightful. Soft, light white florals with a touch of fruit and musk. The aquatic elements blended seamlessly. Now, since it’s been reformulated, the smell is a far cry from the original. The bottle is bare, and no longer comes with the cute sprayer top. The fragrance is overtly synthetic smelling, and it’s hard to get past the harshness of the magnolia now. It just doesn’t sit right on my skin and the notes do not blend together in sweet feminine harmony like they used to. It’s still a pretty smell, but if you owned one of the first bottles ever made and then tried one of these new ones, you won’t enjoy the change. It can be had for a song, but in my view it’s not worth repurchasing now.

I find this the best of Britney Spears line… fresh floral with some fruity notes. I like it.

  32. :

Curious was my first perfume ever. It was love at first sniff, as the scent was delicate and floral.
I used up my 100 ml bottle with atomizer with great pleasure.
I really wish it hadn’t been reformulated. Now, the bottle looks bare and the scent turns sour on my skin.

‘Curious’ is the first fragrance of my life. I can still remember how glad I was when I got it as present. (Because I’m a huge fan of Britney, you know.) XD
It’s opening with very fresh magnolia and pear then dry down to soft white floral and end with close-to-skin scent from musk which make this fragrance so soft, gentle and feminine. I always choose it when I don’t know what to wear because I know that I cannot go wrong with this scent and it has good longevity on me.
‘You don’t have to be dare to wear this one.’ 😉

  34. :

    4 out of 5

I really like this perfume. I always keep it in my collection for days when I just don’t know what else to wear. It’s so versatile and easy to wear, you just can’t go wrong.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Impossible not to like this one. It’s so pretty and long lasting and fresh and just…inoffensive. Perfect as a girls first “real” perfume or just keep it around when you want something easy.

  36. :

    4 out of 5

I underestimated this fragrance because it was cheap but this smells so nice and performs better than a lot of my designer fragrances. It’s currently 3:46 am and I just woke up out of my sleep and this fragrance is still on my wrist and I applied this around 7:00pm. I don’t have good skin chemistry so even the fragrances that’s suppose to have good longevity don’t last on me, but who would’ve known. Now I’m in love with this fragrance.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Curious by Britney Spears is odd to me. For a celebrity fragrance, it’s really REALLY beautiful. I don’t say that to poo poo them, because I genuinely love the Elizabeth Taylors and Sarah Jessica Parkers… but this one is different to all of them. It has a fullness to it that just makes me think it could’ve been released as a Marc Jacobs/ Prada offering or something like that. I’d never pay $90-120 for a bottle of this, but the fact still stands that it’s low end designer quality or higher.
All that aside, because it really doesn’t matter at all, this is just so lovely. Lightly aquatic and beautifully magnolia. The white flowers really shine in this.
My nan used to wear this all the time – she denies it now, though.
To me, this is what Black Opium Floral Shock could’ve been if this had darker elements.
10/10 for the price range, honestly.

This is such a pretty scent but the longevity is virtually nothing and for that reason I would not rebuy this perfume.

  40. :

Such a pretty smell. Not overly floral and not overly sweet. Perfect balance and inoffensive. Very wearable and a good introductory perfume. I loved Britney growing up and I remember going to the mall and getting samples of her perfume when this first came out. Nostalgic.

  41. :

A nostalgic scent for me. I got this on my 12th birthday when it just came out. It was my first perfume ever. I remembered this a few years ago and wanted to smell it again but couldn’t find it so I bought a 50ml bottle online and I’m glad I did. This is a really special scent and I haven’t smelt anything similar. It’s a bit synthetic and plasticy but in a good way. Smells very clean, like toiletries or hair products. I doesn’t open up or change, just stays the way it is- clean, cool crisp and watery. I like spraying this on myself after a shower. I don’t ever wear this outside because the scent doesn’t really settle down but more so lingers around you.

  42. :

This reeked on my skin. Smelled like Windex and moldy flower water. It was a blind buy I got at Marshall’s and I end up using it as a backup air freshener when I run low on Febreeze lol. The bottle is cute just not my cup of tea.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

On me this smells like a woodsy, warm vanilla with jasmine. It’s a nice, safe fragrance that i think most people would not be offended by. Curious is a moderate to long lasting fragrance, that projects nicely. It reminds me of a southern, summer night, warm breeze blowing through magnolias…lovely.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

And the fragrance that started it all(for me). My first ever perfume. My my my haven’t we come a long way. I wouldn’t buy this today but when I first got it 15-16. It was my first steps on becoming a fragrance and fashion junkie. I don’t think the smell is bad or anything still likable. It just brings back memories. I have a sample I smell and I’d wear it if it was free or a gift for sure. It’s fun, inoffensive and girly. Definitely wouldn’t recommend past the age of 24.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

This is an aquatic pear paired with some very delicate white florals. I associate the floral notes with high school for some reason, probably cause I smelled a lot of this back then, or something similar to it. It’s basically youthful elegance, if that makes any sense… So highschool prom. The lasting power on this is very good for a celebrity scent!!!

This has a nice fruity aquatic smell. It’s fun for teenagers.

Bought this one in TJ Maxx when it was still new and “expensive” – $25 for just 1.7 oz))) Got the most compliments from men when wearing it. Go figure! In the compliment department this cheapy TJ Maxx scent beat out all the expensive designer ones and the sexy line of Victoria Secrets (I bought several of those since they were supposedly the “to go to sexy scents” of the century!)
I’ll buy Curious again (for the price the 3.4 oz is sold now in TJ Maxx – why not?), even though it could be considered a little bit out of my age range now..
It’s girly, but not in a cheap bubble-gum candy-like kind of way. A somewhat sophisticated scent for a discount celebrity perfume.

  48. :

I’m finally ready to review this after getting my second bottle. Let me start by saying that as a fan of Britney, who would obviously check out almost every fragrance she puts out, Curious hasn’t been a favorite of mine growing up, in fact, I disliked it until 2015. For some reason I really love it now.
It’s fresh but not citrusy, floral but not heady or powdery, sweet but not edible. It feels watery and refreshing on the skin. I enjoy it the most in Spring/Summer.
Most prominent notes for me: A lot of Magnolia and Lotus giving a fresh/watery floral smell, a big JUICY Pear, and clean Musk with tiny drops of Vanilla.
Longevity for me: About 8-9 hours
Sillage: Light, inoffensive, more personal. Although it projects a little stronger when it’s freshly sprayed

  49. :

    5 out of 5

Britney does floral perfumes as somebody who doesn’t like them but tries to make friends with them. She manages to find those features in floral perfumes that will invite floral non-fans to try them out. Like myself: how many times have I sworn to wear more floral scents as they are universal, liked by men, more neutral, etc.?.. Only Britney dragged me into owning florals and actually liking them. Curious is pretty, fun, engaging, friendly and “social” (if this can be said about a fragrance). Stays on throughout the day. All year round perfume. I wear it in summer to get a break from my favorite sweets, and in winter when I want spring to come.

  50. :

I got a barely used bottle on ebay, minus the blingy charm (I think I’ve seen pictures where there’s some beaded embellishment around the neck).
I knew before buying, that this is outside my normal amber/spice/woods comfort perfume genre. I don’t really consider myself a big fan of aquatics, though I don’t believe they deserve the flak that’s trendy to give them these days. Also, I don’t care for white florals, but this doesn’t feature orange blossom, my botanical nemesis, so I figured I’d be fine with this very inexpensive blind buy.
So this beautiful aqua-colored Chinese lantern bottle arrives in the mail, and the perfume is pretty, too. My first impression was that it smells like shampoo, and I don’t mean that in a bad way at all! Who doesn’t like the smell of lightly scented, freshly washed hair?
Upon really wearing it, I smell lotus/aquatic notes the most, followed by equal parts of pear and tuberose. It’s obviously a benign tuberose, given that it’s from the queen of pop, and marketed to teens and twentysomethings.
Unfortunately there is a musk note that is working with the aforementioned benign tuberose to give me a headache, but maybe I oversprayed (to really familiarize myself with the scent, of course) or maybe I’m just tired after a long, hot day.
I find it much “younger” than most of the stuff I wear, and I figured that this will probably be a good one to share with my little girl―a budding perfumista in her own right. She loves it, but then, she loves all perfumes.
I like this perfume, but I don’t love it. When applied sparingly, I don’t find it inappropriate for kids, nor is it a perfume that would cause someone to not take an adult seriously. I think it will be best for us when we go swimming at the river near our house, or like now, just relaxing with the fan on and with our front door open to let in the night air.

Just got a sample and I gotta say that it’s white flowers for sure, my god….it kills your nose the first few minutes, I got a headache and it’s really strong oppening..I personally don’t like it, it’s not gentle like Pure Poison but like a mean older sister that punches you and then kisses you because after 5 minutes it’s really nice and spring fragrance. This can be pulled of by girls and grandmas, incredible but not by men…sorry, I’m a gender bender guy but this is just too much of a white flower for me, although it smells great 🙂
I’d say that if this was a designer frag I’d place it in Poison line for sure, I imagine that this could be Fresh Poison or something like that 🙂
The smell, hmm, I guess it would fit Greta Garbo, look at her picture and you can smell Curious 🙂 peace

The partnership is “Elizabeth Arden” and not “Coty”!

Curious is one of the most unique fragrances I have ever smelled. This fragrance still holds up to any other celebrity fragrance out there simply because it does not smell like the rest. Where others turn to the typical sweet and overly musky, Curious is very sophisticated and soft with the magnolia and vanilla being very prominent in this fragrance. I acquired a bottle of this on my birthday in 2005, the atomizer in fact. So pretty on my dresser and such an intriguing fragrance. Great longevity! Timeless!

This is my favorite perfume of all time and I own so many expensive ones. I cannot compare it to any other scent because it is unique. I normally HATE florals but this perfume has such a fresh, watery floral scent to it. It reminds me a little of a delicious smelling shampoo. Every time I wear it in public someone comments that it smells like I just got out of the shower. I pick up a strong watery floral mixed with juicy pear. Hours later it becomes a powdery vanilla. I think this could be worn by a teenager or someone who is middle aged. It is non-offensive and lovely.

Curious is so nostalgic for me. Yes they changed the formulation over time and the original was stronger and more defined but; even the newest bottles of this have that Thing about them which never fails to bring back pleasant memories. I will always adore this perfume. I could not hate it if I tried! It feels like fresh white flowers, aquatic, soft powder, and a fairytale combined but mixed in a way I have Never smelled elsewhere. I will never dis this perfume! I am in love with it. It is light, young at heart, in fact this scent reminds me of a beautiful Heart.
    God bless!

Smells like very nice shampoo. One of the best Britney fragrances. Suitable for all ages (excluding women over 35). Smells like a girls school changing room.
Not sweet at all, not sickly, just flowers and clean.
Wear this and you’d feel like a mermaid. The colour of the bottle looks like the sea. Doesn’t smell sexy, smells more good girl.

I finished my bottle of Curious a few weeks ago and I’d say I got a pretty good grasp of how it preforms.
It’s a perfectly safe perfume. Synthetic watery white flowers, but not offensively so and the sillage is light to medium. It’s meh at best, tbh. The bottle is pretty, design- and color-wise.

this is a very floral smell. not sweet smelling flowers, but synthetic hairspray type. that’s not to say this smell’s bad. it has an old fashioned feminine appeal if you can appreciate a classic hairspray smell. i imagine silvia from mad men having hair that smelled like that with plenty silleage. that being said, I think this smells great in my hair but not on my skin. right now am being daring and tested my new marshmallow body spray with the most non sweet floral I could think of, that had no strange boozy notes can’t go wrong, right? i was too nervous to try jadore because i swear it has that old school aldehyde note. so i tried curious, thinking it was probably a close call whether or not they were gonna use a gourmand note anyway when tjeu 1st made it. well as one would imagine, hairspray and marshmallow don’t mix. marshmallow doesnt mix with tobacco scents either. but I’d bet my bottom dollar it would transform daisy into something completely new.
