This was a blind buy for me. I was expecting something warm, bright, and sultry. What I got reminded me of something a little girl would wear. Not good for an imagined topless sunbathing priestess of that cult!
Very sweet and innocent. Good quality and long lasting though. So if being young and sweet is your thing, try this if you can find it.

Cult of Helios makes me think of cashmere. Powdery-soft but not sweet. I like the perfume, but I love the lotion. The lotion has less musk, so more heliotrope and vanilla shine through.

I miss Cult of Helios. It’s disappeared.
It was a lovely, dreamy heliotrope with undertones of vanilla and ripe banana laid over clean, fluffy musk.
The closest thing I have found to it is Vanille Coco by Comptoir Sud Pacifique.

I found Cult of Helios to be nothing like it’s description. It was a riot of obnoxious young floral elements that seemed more Lilac-like,short-sharp rose than that smooth seductive heliotrope. This fragrance confounded my nostrils (in a bad way) and definitely shouted “Hey! I’m trying to hard to smell pleasant-Look at me, please!” If this was an appetizer, I would politely ask for the “Check, please” and never return to the contrived, ultraviolet-lights and periwinkle vinyl booths of this establishment. It had to be scrubbed after 10 minutes, so I can not comment on it’s “main course” or silage.

I get a combination of tea and lipstick with a bit of banana thrown in. Thick. It’s kinda nice in a funky sort of way in the opening. Drydown brings a bit more true floral of the heliotrope and I don’t know if I like it quite as much then. But extreme drydown is quite nice. Floral with a developed citrus note thats somewhat sharp and very pretty. This is my favorite part of the fragrance. Would wear for sure.
