Description
The company Bill Blass together with license company First American Brands Inc, created Couture fragrant collection inspired by design, creations and fabrics of Blass dresses. It is interesting that motifs on the bottles are the same as those on fabrics used to create luxurious dresses, including yellow, grey, red and blue motifs of the collections for spring, autumn and resort 2008.
The first four fragrances of the collection were named Couture 1, Couture 3, Couture 6 and Couture 7. All of them were created in close cooperation with Prabal Gurung, woman designer of the brand Bill Blass.
Couture 3 was created by Valerie Garnuch, and it introduces a warm wave of sandalwood with bergamot blossom, apple blossom, cardamom and ginger. The bottle is decorated with grey motifs of feathers and beads of an evening dress from the collection spring 2008.
All four editions are available as 75 ml EDP, with a retro atomizer as another decoration on the gorgeous bottles. These are made of glass and transparent from one side. The other two sides feature carved motifs which can be found on the brand’s older editions. The nose behind this fragrance is Valerie Garnuch-Mentzel.

Ew! I’m a sandal person, and it is not for sandal people, that is for sure! It is all about apple blossom on me! Ew!!
I can detect cardamom, black pepper and pimento, but it all comes back to apple blossom. The staying power is enormous!! I sprayed it at 2 pm, next morning 11 am it was still there, this apple blossom was…Ew.
Update.
It is September now, and this juice is not that bad this time. The first notes for me are ginger and cardamom this time of year, thank God! Then goes the darn blossom. Bergamot and cinnamon are behind all others mentioned above.
The drydown is rose-vanilla on me.
This perfume’s lasted good 6 hours on me.

This perfume also has good longevity and sillage on me, and that is really rare.

This is a very inexpensive perfume for sandal lovers. It is slightly feminine, but could be a unisex fragrance, with just the tiniest amount of spice and flowers to give it a little more complexity. I really enjoy wearing it almost as much as my green fragrances; it is warmer but still pure sandalwood. It screams fresh.
I’d definitely recommend for sandal lovers, or those who want to try the “almost” one note perfumes so popular with the astronomically expensive niche perfumeries. I’ve tried layering this with more florals and more spice, but it is much better left just as it is, simple and fresh.
