Wow, very interesting scent by Bath Body Works !
Prior to this I bought Juniper Breeze and Wild Honeysuckle and I gave them away very quickly. Too fake smelling and suffocating.
Then I decided to try this one as a last chance for BBW. And I really like this !!
It combines two of my favorite summer scents. First it is very very similar to light blue (you really can’t deny that) and then it developes into the Nina Ricci apple scent. I had Nina Ricci l’eau for the summer and now this is the perfect replacement, because it also has some light blue DNA (and it was thinking about getting a bottle light blue for the summer).
Im so content with this scent.
And I can also see why people think it’s similar to the lanvin scent.
So if you like one of the scent mentioned, you should try country chic as a affordable option !

I have this fragance, to me smells like citrus and leather, it last around 2 hours max .

I purchased the fragrance mist back in 2012 and fell in love with this scent. It is a very soft citrusy scent on me. Perfect for summers in Florida.

Never tried the perfume, but a friend once gave me the small lotion bottle. It was pleasant, but not unlike rubbing the sent of Bounce dryer sheets into my hands.

To me, Country Chic smells like a florally fabric softener with the sweetness of lemon & raspberry. Clean & sweet. Like me! Lol. It’s great for Spring & Summer. I wouldn’t wear it in the fall or winter. And I do agree with another reviewer on here saying it smells like a sweet version of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. So, way better! Light Blue has a bit of harshness to it, but this is soft & girly.

I took advantage of a deal to get this full size with Twilight Woods back when it was first released. It’s a very fresh, citrusy white floral. Very nice for spring and summer. Drydown is less nice on me since I don’t wear peach very well, but the first blast is like aaaah… Nice!

This one was one of those blind buys which showed great promise but let me down..I ordered this online because the notes in it seemed fail-proof – after all lilies, grapefruit, tagetes, jasmine and patchouli should sound like a perfect combination to those who love fruity florals right? WRONG! It turned out so overpowering on me I hated the sight of it then onwards..The longevity is great(lasted 8-9 hours on me) but the sillage, ah! dreadfully overpowering – especially so in tropical climates. I guess it would be great for those who love sunny florals, but this one just doesn’t make the cut for me. Gave away the bottle to my sister who loves it and would never ever buy it again..

I haven’t tried the perfume yet but the body butter smells great and layers well with nina by nina ricci
    Edit:
I passed by bbw tday and tried the perfume. It smells jusk like Ninna ricci

This honestly used to be my favorite scent ever. I had everything, the edt, the body butter, lotion, soap, body mist…everything. I wore it every single day my freshman year of college….but my freshman year of college was really, exceedingly bad…so this now just makes me thing of my freshman year in college, so I don’t like it all that much anymore. However, I do recommend it if you just want something nice, light and clean. It’s a lovely scent, just associated with many, many bad memories for me…such a shame.

I am in love with this perfume! I know a lot of people do not seem to like this fragrance but on me it smells like a warm grapefruit with a hint of vanilla. I know that sounds like a strange combo but it totally works! This is my husbands favorite fragrance on me. Every time I wear it he comments on how wonderful I smell. This is the fragrance I wore on my wedding day and I have always made sure to have a bottle of it on hand. it is my signature scent in the spring and summer. its light and fresh.

Country Chic’s initial burst is one of citrus zest with soapiness. A clean soapiness that is invigorating. It’s not an old-fashioned soapy feel, it’s wrapped with a woodsy feel, thanks to the Virginia Cedar, which predominates in this floral fruity gourmand. I wouldn’t call it a gourmand tho, to me, it leans more towards a woody musk.
Praline and pear sit on the plate most definitely, but think of County Chic as an outdoors fragrance. One you’d enjoy wearing as a transitional one in the cool Spring months when Mother Winter begins her thaw and the temperatures begin to rise. When you start to shed your multitude of layers of clothing, and you’re wearing a sweater with a jacket, jeans and ankle boots, this is the one that’s a comfort scent on those sunny afternoons.
Quite a few notes mix together in Country Chic to create a rather pleasant perfume that’s gentle, a whisper on the wind, a flurry of the budding leaves and a walk in new spring shoes on the fresh growing grass. It’s not heavy. It’s not overwhelming. It’s perfect for the springtime. It’s a perfume to transition from the heavier perfumes of winter. Country Chic radiates lightly but enough to let others know what you’re wearing. Longevity is about 3 hours. A comfortable week-end perfume for lounging.

I bought this at a sale for real cheap and i had been wanting it for awhile so i was super stoked when i found it for that price lol. I wore it for a short while and then realized it smelled like D&G light blue and i dont like that, so i dont have this anymore. staying power is poor and it just got boring after awhile.

I hate the grapefruit note in this. It’s very strong.

This is one of my favorite Bath & Body Works scents, as well as one of the most unique. I find it very hard to describe because the notes are so hard to identify. It is fresh and light, so I suppose the citrus description is technically accurate, but it’s NOT the sharp “bathroom cleaner” citrus that may scare people off. It is very soft, probably thanks to the flowers. It is a little bit sweet, but not enough to deter anyone who really dislikes sweet scents. It may be a good choice for people who don’t usually like citrus. It is also very, very feminine and youthful, not like the masculine or herbal citrus you find so often. It’s hard to pick out individual notes here; they all blend together into one singular, comforting smell. Overall I feel it’s the white flowers that give it such character, but again, they are soft and not the headache-inducing variety of white floral. It’s listed as a gourmand but there are no food notes here at all, or patchouli (thankfully). It’s clearly for daytime wear, but also oddly cozy and relaxing in its own way. Of course it doesn’t last very long, but it will never get too overpowering. I think it’s safe to say most people probably haven’t smelled anything quite like it. Unique, soft, and hopefully one that will appeal to a lot of people usually skeptical about citrus scents.

I didn’t like this scent when I first sprayed it. As it “drys down,” if I have the right terminology, it has less of whatever smell I can’t stand and then smells really nice. It’s definitely a floral smell, but it’s not typical. Maybe it’s the Marigold or Sunflowers? I like it. It’s fresh and slightly sweet. I think that it smells better on my skin than on my clothes, but either way, it’s pretty good.

  16. :

This one smells really good. It reminds me of Dolce and Gabbana light blue for some reason, due to the lemon scent.
light blue smells more citrus where country chic smells sweeter. I would say this one is a sweeter version of light blue. Which is great cause this one cost much less than light blue (like $100 vs $20) and this one last a while on me too.
Overall very happy with this purchase.

As with most BBW fragrances, this would be a great introduction to perfumes for a younger girl. I have this in the shower gel and I really like it. I wouldn’t wear it as a standalone fragrance but it brightens up my morning routine. This is an excellent cheap alternative to Jessica Simpson Vintage Bloom-they’re literally exact duplicates. It’s not the most distinctive fragrance in the world, but it’s still nice.

This is scent its ok. I mean it just ok. It dosn’t smell bad its just so boring. If I didn’t get this scent as a gift I would never had tried it.

To me this smells very similar to Gucci Flora. I layer the Gucci over Country Chic body mist and lotion, and the scent lasts all day on me. It’s a fresh, breezy scent that’s sophisticated, but youthful. Very nice, and the price is, too!

This is a Bath and Body works upgrade! I Love this smell and could not believe they came up with it?! My only problem is that I wish it lasted all day and wish it had better projection. My skin ate this all up within 4 hours. It is discreet I think, so perfect for work or hanging out. It smells fabulous and the price is very affordable. I Love the citrus, then the raspberry, and jasmine with the prailine finalle. It is well balanced in my opinion. I am enchanted, can’t get enough! Delicious <3 My new spring fragrance and I am addicted to the fruity florals.

  21. :

I was very surprised by this scent. Although it only lasts about 4 to 5 hours on me, the balance of it is worth it. It is fruity but crisp, not too sweet. And the sweetness that is present has an airiness to it that just makes me feel like SPRING!
Bath and Body Works has produced a very nice perfume, not just a linear scent. Country Chic is definitely my style in terms of the way I dress; this fragrance fits me too. Hurrah!

This is my everyday go to fragrance that people know me by. And, the best part is it’s CHEAP, so i can get more whenever. On me it smells very warm, sunny, and pleasant like walking in a field of flowers by my willow tree to hang clothes on a line while having a picnic.

I always keep at least one BBW scent around, and Country Chic has been newly added to my collection along with Cashmier Glow. I was introduced to it by my niece. I told her she smelled good and asked her if she was wearing D&G Light Blue (or a more flowery version of), and she said no, it’s Country Chic. A beloved BBW brand fragrance that smells like Light Blue at half the price? Yes please!

  25. :

Was hoping the pralines would be as noticeable as the above info suggests, however, they were absent. Citrus, citrus, and more citrus… with nondescript floral notes in the background. Nice, but not what I was hoping for.

This is one of my go-to scents for running around town doing errands. At first spray you get juicy fresh apple, lemon, and a tiny bit of green grass. As it dries down, to me, it smells like fresh clothes dried outside near a garden or maybe a apple grove. On my skin chemistry, the fruit scents fade very quickly, leaving me with a light floral scent with hints of green and a touch of musk.
I personally am not a big fan of a lot of perfumes, as my nose is so sensitive, but I very much enjoy this one.
This perfume is like a cheerful girl next door, always happy, easy going, and a breath of fresh air. Sure, she can be a little fruity some times, but who isnt?
This one is staying on my dresser.

This scent works so well on me. I often get compliments on it and asked what it is. Rather amusing, since I purchased it simply as a guilty pleasure, thinking it smelled a bit cheap. Wearing it takes me out to a field with a glass of refreshing lemonade on a hot, summer day. Definitely a comforting scent for me that I thoroughly enjoy. I don’t find it suitable for the fall and winter, though. I also find it to be faint, but that’s easily remedied by using the lotion along with it.

I liked this at first, it’s floral and fruity. But after a while it turns to this strange sour smell on my skin. I guess it just doesn’t mesh well with my chemistry. My boyfriend actually turned his nose up on this one, smelling it out of the bottle. He said he really disliked it. Oops 😉 Gift for my young niece 🙂

To me, this scent encompasses all that I think of when I think of home in the country. I think of haybales, woods, lots of sunshine, and a slow kind of feel around you. This scent is really best from late spring to early fall, and when I did wear it, I usually wore it when I was presenting something because it calms me down when I think of home, and this represents that.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

This is a very much a spring/summer scent, and I still think it’s a little strange. It’s a little hard to describe. When I first smell it I get clean-fresh, citrus (more on the lemon side) and then sweetness. All three together, especially the sweet lemon, make it a bit bizarre, but likable. The florals are on the green side, contributing more to the freshness.
I go back and forth between liking and disliking it, pretty much all due to the sweet note but overall, I like it well enough to keep it.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

If you’re into florals, then Country Chic is a perfect fragrance for daytime wear (especially during the Spring and Summer)! This one surprised me, because I enjoy this fragrance very much- so much that I finished all of the products I have, and I plan on repurchasing them once Spring rolls around again!
To me, Country Chic reminds me of fresh grass and wild flowers on a fresh and sunny day. There’s a freshness and a slight powdery-ness with a hint of citrusy goodness. I can definitely pick up on the floral and musky notes listed, and I can pick up on the citrusy notes. There are sweeter fruit notes in this (raspberry and peach), but I don’t really detect them that much. The citrus notes do give a VERY subtle sweetness, but raspberry and peach almost smell sugary to me. I don’t detect that kind of sweetness with this fragrance.
I’d say that this is a very versatile fragrance when it comes to the age ranges that can wear this. I think it’s suitable for all ages because it’s a light and fresh fragrance where none of its notes are overdone. Considering all of the berry and sugary scents that Bath and Body Works is releasing lately, I’d say that Country Chic is one of the signature fragrances that stands out. Highly recommended! 🙂

This is a nice fresh daytime scent. It smells a lot like lemon and citrus. I just got a feeling it’s going to be one of those scents I get that I get bored of eventually…but I do like it. It’s nice to have in my collection 🙂

  34. :

    3 out of 5

This is a fragrance I would love to wear and I have tried it a number of times. But it completely overwelms me at first and then dies. It kind of sits there on me instead of merging with my skin. Very strong citrus, flowers and cedar. Wrong body chemistry for it, I suppose. I have smelled it on a man and thought it was terrific.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

Last time I smelled this it reminded me of the smell of laundry detergent. I smelled no floral in it at all(strange considering the notes). A very boring dull one in my book. When country chic came out a little part of me was hoping perhaps it could be a replacement for butterfly flower. *le sigh* Nope. BBW always has to mix some fruit with their floral and screw it all up. Country chic… just not my cup of tea.

i likey! I sprayed and liked it right away the sales lady took the lotion and fine mist to the counter for me and rung it up! I enjoy this it’s fresh and lemon cake like but it does resemble paris hilton’s siren in a way. try it you might like it!

  37. :

This is a simple nice fresh clean scent kind of reminds me of BS Circus but much more floral, all in all not bad for a BBW product.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

I dont have this fragrance but I do have the body lotion and body spray, and I must say it smells very sweet and lightly floral with out being offensive. with floral scents I get headaches but not with this one, the name does suit it too x3 I would like the EDP of this! im getting this when I got to bath and body works next time
update: =D I got my hands on a bottle finally! to start off, like the lotion this starts off with an energetic lemony zest then mellows out to sweet smelling flowers with out being way too flowery or over the top.
when I smell this,I see a sweet southern farm girl walking through a flower field blowing dandelions in the sunshine x’D (cheesy, I know)
the longevity is pretty decent depending on wear you spray this, I’d say this lasts up to 6 or 7 hours, maybe longer if u spray this on top of the lotion and body spray.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

it defines a color yellow to me. lemon burst at start, then u can smell it turns softer, the honeysuckle, yummy floral… but definitely non gourmand. not too fruity either. and the name fits this fragrance pretty good.

Country Chic (in EDT form) vaguely resembles Creed’s Green Valley in that its fresh green notes, accented by citrus, meld well with judiciously-blended fruit notes. Everything is clean, green, fruity, and fresh, and the fragrance is generally an uplifting experience. I should add that it leans feminine, but it’s definitely unisex. My only qualm here is in the quality of ingredients. This is a step down from drugstore juice, and a half notch up from the dreaded “body mist.” That’s to say, while it smells good in a conventionally pleasant manner, I’m tempted to pass on Country Chic in favor of better fare, like Sport Field by Adidas, or even the aforementioned Green Valley.

I have Dolce and Gabbana ‘Light Blue’ and this one smells nothing like ‘Light Blue’! this one exactly smells like Oriflame ‘Miss O Fashion Princess’ smells ok but there is something in it that gives me a light headache.

Simple scent, but sometimes simple scents are better than complex scents. I never even considered smelling this until yesterday and I really liked it. The lemon in the scent made it stand out in my opinion. Kinda smelled like lemonade. I might buy this 🙂

This is such a plain Jane scent. It smells like they took three notes and left it at that. All you can smell are the green notes and musk. It’s nature in a bottle and I’m not impressed. 2/10

  44. :

im not getting much citrus myself. i’m getting a lot of patchouli, tagetes, amber, cedar and green notes. on me this is anything but gourmand, this is all woody and green with strong florals. its almost smokey to my nose. this is a very different and strong smelling perfume from BBW imo. its ok, but not spectacular. 6-10

  47. :

    5 out of 5

Starts off with a fresh burst of citrus, and mellows into a sweet soft floral. I’m not getting anything gourmand from this. I’m impressed with all the notes in here and the complexity of this fragrance.

I like this scent, different from the typical BBW scents. I can’t wear a lot of citrus scents, like Light Blue, but this one works with my body chemistry.

c3c really summed it up well. When I sprayed Country Chic into the air at B&B, I wondered who walked in smelling like Light Blue? Then I realized it was the cloud I just sprayed. When I spray it on me it also has a hint of LB but almost better. LB has a “pledgey” smell but CC has something slightly better all the way through. Needless to say, I do like it….mostly because I do like LB, but I definitely think this is more wearable.
    (is pledgey a word?)

When I first smelled this I was at school and a girl walked by me and I stopped her and asked her if she was wearing Britney Spears’ Circus Fantasy perfume and then I was going to compliment her on choosing that scent, but then the girl told me she wasn’t wearing Circus she was wearing Country Chic. I was pretty surprised.
My friend had the Shea body cream at her house and I tested it out and fell it love. It smells a lot like Circus Fantasy, but, less floral. It’s really sweet and the lotion lasted on me for more than 4 hours (which I am so surprised because sometimes B&BW scents need to be applied more than a few times a day). I soon found myself in the B&BW store buying a bottle of the hand cream. In love. It’s sweet, floral, and all around a nice warm-feeling scent that I think is perfect for any season.

This is a fresh, pretty scent and I love it… but alas, it smells TERRIBLE on me. With my body chemistry, this winds up smelling almost like urine. NOT good.
Sprayed in the room or smelling it out of the bottle though, this is a simple, clean, fresh fragrance that would be great for anyone. Soft lemon, crisp and slightly sharp cedar, with just a tinge of floral in the background. Very nice. Wish so much that it worked on me.

  54. :

    5 out of 5

Wow! I am really impressed by this! Or should I say I am really impressed by the opening and middle notes. I would agree from reading the reviews that body chemistry seems to be particularly important with Country Chic. On me the beginning and middle are a sweet mix of notes in particular lemon, African orange flower, peach, praline and musk. No noticeable florals. Musk becomes more prominent in the drydown and it begins to develope a slight, dare I say it…”Light Blue” vibe towards the end, in fact gradually it turns completely into LB. Which isn’t really a bad thing, just a tad disappointing, because the rest is so good I wish it would have held onto it’s own personality. I’d call it the “eventually LB with a more interesting start up” perfume.

  55. :

This scent is beautiful…at least on MY skin. I think this is one of those scents that it REALLY depends on body chemistry. One of my friends tried it, and it just smelled like strong florals.
But on me, I get this sweet and tangy lemon smell, that dries down to a sweet jasmine and gardenia mix. Then it goes into a very soft woodsy smell. It is VERY pretty, and definetly reminds me of laying out in a field of flowers. It’s refreshing.
But, again, I think this one really depends on your skin chemistry. Try it out, and give it some time before buying it.
The staying power is okay, not the best, but it isn’t terrible.
All in all, I recommend it 🙂 I think it’s a very refreshing scent that you can wear almost all seasons…maybe not winter, but, still. 🙂

Though I’m not exactly crazy about the name, I love this scent. It’s so friendly and simple, but subtle too. The apple in it is lovely; I mix in the body wash with my conditioner and people smell my hair and they ask what’s in it because it smells so good. I love it, and it’s in my top 5 B&BW scents.

  57. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t find this scent boring at all. If anything I find it too cluttered. Is it annoying anyone else that BBW has started naming their scents with random names instead of what the scent smelled like . For example it used to me Cucumber Melon Wild Honeysuckle Brown Sugar and Fig and now its Secret Wonderland Country Chic Carried Away. I also feel like their newer scents are very strange. For example this one just struck a wrong chord with me I find it strange and I honestly don’t see how anyone can like it.

  58. :

    4 out of 5

It first hits you with the smell of the tagetes, sweet greens and maybe a sweet-ish lemon, but ends with a nice splash of amber. It’s actually not too sweet and smells like a wide open space. Probably one of the top 5 of the best BBW scents, I highly recommend it.

  59. :

    5 out of 5

I like Country Chic. It’s different from the usual BBW products. The ending is subtle and sweet with praline. I enjoy wearing it very much.

  60. :

    4 out of 5

I love almost all of the BBW fragrances, but Country Chic is very boring. The top notes are crisp and clean, but the dry down is boring and almost not even there. It doesn’t smell like anything…..unhappy with this one and escnaged for something else.

  61. :

This is just such a boring scent. My nose could barley detect anything in it really. Very blaaaah. Sides who wants to smell like a hillbilly? Not me!!

  62. :

This is my new favorite scent!!!!! I bought two bottles 🙂 It’s a very clean summer smell that is nice and light. It’s not too over powering but it lasts a long time on you and your clothes.I wore this to work today for the fist time and got over 10 complements from customers and co workers….my boyfriend could still smell it on me after working for 8 hours and this scent drives him wild (if you know what I mean 😉 ). If you smell this scent you will love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  63. :

    5 out of 5

Country Chic is not a very potent scent. It does smell like a typical BBW fragrance, but if you smell it closely, you’ll get the subtle difference. Yes, it’s just another fruity floral but this one is slightly green at the top. It’s fresh but mild; nothing screams at you. White flowers are pretty and quite elegant here. I get gardenia the most. All these fruity floral goodies get smothered by something smooth and creamy. In this case, it’d be praline, which gives the scent that gourmand quality but it’s not a fully gourmand scent by any mean. Everything else in this scent is kinda mute, especially ambergris and patchouli. Cedar is barely there, but it make the scent a bit outdoorsy. Overall, I enjoy this fragrance. It has its own personality; soft, sweet, innocent and chic. It’s perfect for early spring and fall. In the end, this is not so typical BBW scent. It’s a must try.

  64. :

    3 out of 5

Looking at these notes, i thought it would be a great fragrance. That was not to be. I smell a bit of lemon and crushed leaves and then the mid note of lily and bit of musk. That’s it. No rasberry, no gardenia, no peach nectar, no praline. What a dissapointment.
I think that most generic light scents enjoy great popularity-Country Chic is generic at its best. Very subtle, light flower with hint of citrus. I honestly think that this is the most meh fragrance that BBW produced within last few years. Lasting power is terrible, its gone within minutes. I seriously doubt that anyone around you will be able to smell it. Just like Secret Wonderland(aka Moonlight Magic repackaged)-great name and list of ingredients, you anticipate something wondeful and get mediocre.
I’ve liked simple and uncomplicated scents before however this is beyond unremarkable-5 min after smelling it, you will forget what it smelled like to begin with. I think that Twighligh Woods and Forever Sunshine are great new scents that smell unique and last a long time. Country Chic doesn’t really smell like wildflowers to me, more like a light floral candle.
If you want simple, unoffensive and something that doesn’t stand out of the crowd, this one is for you

  65. :

This smells like a lighter, springy version of BBW’s “Twilight Woods” without the vanilla. It is a very wearable scent that I love to layer with the matching lotion.

I think this is accurately categorized as a floral fruity gourmand. While it may not smell unique, I found it very likeable! It’s a super sweet scent, which works great for me. I only tested the body spray. There is something about the BBW perfumes that smells too synthetic on my skin for me to be able to wear them. Thumbs up on the composition though!!

This smells VERY similar to Burberry weekend. Im not sure why this is considered a gourmand at all. Its not sweet..its a very sunny floral. Not my favorite in the least.

This smells a lot like the other scents they already have. I was surprised they made an edt of this.. I really dont like how it smells.. Smells like medicine to me..
